Question! Are Stage 1 zombies only killed by brain trauma, or can they be killed in any other way like L4D?

I'd say these guys require throrough destruction of the brain, specifically the central components. A nonlethal alternative would be breaking or cutting the spine, rendering the target immobile.

Shit, double-post. I can act as the resident zombie-expert, unless anyone has any objections.

See, that's what I was thinking, but during State 1 the virus hasn't fully taken over, implying that other organs are vital to the subject's survival. Stage 1's are still "alive" per se, but Stage 2's are completely dead aside from the brain. That, and it would make the zombies a little more dynamic. Stage 1 favors speed, though they are weaker, while Stage 2 favors resilience, but are much slower. Also, and the added splatter effect from the still-circulating blood present in Stage 1 would allow them to distribute the virus more quickly to really get the infection spreading. Just my two cents personally, I'm really down for whatever!

I assumed that stage 1s would actually move more slowly, thinking that the virus requires food to be able to keep fueling the zombie. This would typically mean the zombie itself, or amything in its stomach, which is why it has the drive to eat.

But why would Stage 1 infected, also known as "Runners" be slower than Stage 2 infected, "Walkers"? Is it like some cruel Greenland/Iceland joke? :P

Oh, wait, shit. Sorry, mixing canons here. It's possible though, that stage 1s have had more to eat than most stage 2s, allowing them more energy.

Hi all. Sorry that I haven't been posting here but feel ill with something nasty. I think I'm ok now to post but...I've noticed this hit some slowdown.

Did people start to lose interest? Or was it my inactivity?

It's sad the GM's not been active for a week. Think it's possible to go off on a tangent somewhere else in LA while you wait? I've been thinking about joining all night.
