"O negative, actually." Christof stated in such a matter-of-fact way, that it made him sound like he was simply reading off a grocery list. He shifted his gaze from the newborns to look at Viorica, a shark-toothed grin materialising on his face. "He was a fast runner... but not fast enough." The tang of blood radiated from the numerous bowls, and he watched in mild amusement as the fledglings finally began to give in to the iron hunger in their stomachs, some more so than others. Despite the fact that he had just fed, the heady scent of blood still beckoned to Christof. Fortunately, after all these years, he has acquired a modicum of self-control over these matters.

Christof watched as Viorica took the first draught from the blood bowls. He was momentarily distracted from the affair when Evelyn finally took a seat. At this, a derisory snort escaped from him. Why she couldn't just pull out her own chair was beyond him. They were all the same, bloodsucking monsters now, what was the point of masquerading as the shades of their previous lives? Of course, some of his companions would beg to differ, but he has kept the same perspective throughout all his years of undeath. Another glance at Evelyn, and Christof saw that she wasn't drinking yet. He had to suppress yet another snort at this. The female vampire would probably let herself starve to death if it meant upholding proper decorum. Leaning back in the cushy chair, he simply kept his eye on the situation at hand.

Only two hard footfalls resounded off the castle walls outside before the large doors of the dining room flew open with a frightening bang. Black vapor and a few bats vanished beside him as Mithias strode into the room, finally fully changing shape. Instantly, the elder vamipres saw that no weapons were drawn upon him, but his vibe was one of fresh fury.

Mithias was one of the oldest vampires, and yet, he held the lowest ranking against his peers in the vampire family. He had only barely survived the punishment he had received centuries ago for crimes against his own kind. He would forever be a black sheep, denigrated for his past as a vampire who kills vampires. The ferocity and violence of his entrance begged the question, if only for a moment... would he kill again?

His aesthetic and lethal form looked twice the size it normally did at this distance as his golden eyes glared intently ahead above a tense jaw. It was the look of a killer, of violence and retribution. Mithias' skin was stark white, his long black hair hung freely behind him, disappearing against his cloak. Clawed fingers twitched ever so slightly, so near to the twin blades he kept at his sides.

As his eyes came to rest on the three fledglings, he halted, his expression hardening into something cold and stern as he looked them over. It pained him to see this, to see three innocent faces, scared, hungry, and confused. Their souls were still mourning their own deaths within them. Inwardly, Mithias reigned his own dragon of rage. He could already feel Viorica's amusement rise as he flicked his gaze to Evelyn.

Evelyn was innocent. Mithias could sense it. Although sitting atop hundreds of years herself, there were things yet that Mithias' daughter did not know. She was his only one, and he couldn't deny that he loved her like a child. A fragment of his own soul had been given in making her. It had been a turning done in love and with her consent, albeit immediate circumstances were dire. She did not know it, but any harm that came to her would wound him as well.

This, more than anything, more even than the threat of torture and death at the hands of Dracula kept Mithias controlled. The elders knew it, content to see him invest himself into the fold by tying himself in the bonds of blood.

"Who is responsible for this?" Mithias' bright yellow eyes slammed Viorica, who seemed to enjoy it. He needn't have asked however, as the culprit was clear. Standing perfectly still, his disapproval radiated threateningly. he clearly hadn't been informed of this turning.

Mithias was just the type to speak his mind despite the consequences. His nearly fearless will was difficult to break. "Viorica. Do you never consider the consequences of your actions, or do you ever presume yourself above them?" He gestured to the virgin blooddrinkers. "This is an abuse! This is not how vampires should be made. Their chance of survival is tenuous enough, and furthermore you inspire the rest of humanity to hatred and... prejudice! And not even prejudice! ... You justify our destruction." Mithias fought hard to keep himself in check, for he and his were not invulnerable. He now had to consider what danger he may place Evelyn in by his actions.

He pointed at Viorica accusingly. "You seek to build your own little clan, to be a matriarch, but you are a fool. You risk nothing less than war for us all."

Viorica felt her ire rose at Mithias’ accusations. Matriarch? She was seeing to the survival of her own species! How dare he come stomping in her castle, accusing her of trying to further her own gain? Snarling, she realized that he would have to be put into his place. This was probably not the first. Viorica took a moment, calming herself before she spoke.

“Careful how you speak to me, heathen. I am your elder and more powerful than you! I am the daughter of Dracula and I assure you, it is with good reason. For such an old soul, you don’t think, Mithias. If you believe that I do this for my own gain, then you are wrong. I am already a matriarch, if you have forgotten. Every one of you in this room is mine. I may not have turned you, but the moment you stepped into my castle you were my clan, my family. And as the mother of this family, I will not have some fool come in here and tell me what I can and cannot do, creating chaos within my family. If you have a problem with it, Mithias, the door is that way. Do not forget you are the one who wishes not to be a vampire, not us. Do not force your opinion on others! You know nothing of the reason why these three were turned. They could have been dying, they could have asked me, they might not have even been turned by me but I took their fledgling asses in! Your disgust with your own kind is repulsive. We vampires have as much as a reason to live as humans; yes we might have to hurt them to live, but humans have to hurt animals to live and so is the way of life.”

Despite her attempts to calm herself down, the rage began boiling in her gut and, in the middle of her speech, she had stood up. She looked at Evelyn and Christof and wondered silently if they were not as happy in their life as she had previously thought. Her hand shaking, Viorica dipped her cup straight into the bowl of random blood and took a long drag of it. Crimson liquid poured down her hand messily and onto her extravagant dress as she attempted to smother her anxiety.

William, shoving down his uneasiness and the back-breaking stomach pains with an unusual hardness, stood, ready to speak. He opened his mouth just as the doors smashed opened, startling him. He spun around with speed that he didn't previously possess; somewhere inside him, the human William cried out, feeling itself slipping away.

Shortly after the newcomer's speech and Viorcia's rebuttal, William stood in the middle, wide-eyed, unsure of what to do in a very tense, electric situation. He stood there, unconsciously swaying a little similar as to what perhaps Cap'n Jack Sparrow might do, and then mumbled uncertainly,

"YeahI'mjustreallythirstyI'mgonnatakeadrinknow..."

And he reached across the table to the closest bowl, grabbed the nearest cup, and very quickly, carefully poured himself a nice cup of fresh blood. He shivered inwardly, and despite the intoxicating smell and the hunger that seemed to begin to boil inside him, he stared at the cup in an almost suspicious, frightened stare. He knew, somehow, that once he took the first step, he wouldn't be human again. He would die refusing to be... whatever.

He lifted it up, stopped again, and then drank. At this point, all thoughts of the very hostile atmosphere was gone, and even Vanity's deep drinking and ruination of the dress was unable to catch his attention. He stared uncertainly at the cup, and then mumbled again, "Ladies first..."

He pulled his face away from the cup, walked partway around the table and set it in front of Evelyn. Then he poured another cup, and set it in front of the shier, withdrawn girl, and then another, and set it in front of the feisty one.

Then, with what little was left in the bowl that he had used, he sated a portion of his appetite.

Then again, it was an American-type appetite, and there wasn't much left. He barely even remember drinking anything at all, since he was now sprawled in the chair that he had returned to, and had practically forced himself to lie still, refusing to give in to the full effect of the unnatural euphoria that came over him. After several moments, his squeezed-shut eyes opened again, a half-glassy look in them like had drunk a bit of alcohol, and was still halfway through his third or fourth. He sat up, gazed sightlessly at another bowl of blood, promptly picks it up with a zombie-like way, and drinks it. All. Slowly, deep gulping swallows, just drinking. And drinking.

The William inside cried, knowing that someone died to fill those two bowls.

Angel watched as the new vampire entered the room. He seemed dangerous, but given the rant he'd given Vicorica he seemed bold. Angel had not once had the thought of standing up to Vicorica, but he'd done it. Was he a rebel vampire? Are there such things as a rebel vampire? Angel did not know, but now these questions popped into her head. Along with the nagging question of 'Who did turn me?' That question nagged Angel, her not able to remember her own name much less the man or woman who had turned her. She heard Vicorica's reasoning. Had she been the one to turn Angel?

Angels mind raced with new questions, none of which being answered. All of which nagging at her brain. She groaned, she could remember nothing besides her name, and yet there was so much more. She couldn't even remember her full name. Let alone anything like who had turned her and why. Then the question struck her Did I have children? A baby? Multiple young children? I dont seem to be the old... Was I pregnant while turned? Did it kill the baby? Oh god... Oh god! All these thought and questions, racing through her mind. None had answers. What if she'd been a single mother? Were all her children back home, starving? dehydrated? Kidnapped? Raped? Killed?! Did she have an abusive husband? She did not know. she did not know if she even had a family. Had anyone cared about her? Was she an orphan? She did not know.

With so many questions without answers Angel groaned and held her head, all the questions and her struggling to remember having hurt her. Angel held her head for a moment, before the pain went away and she moved her hand. She looked around the room, getting used to her surroundings. She'd been asking Vicorica questions, but Angel had begun to think she was being ignored. Tension between the two vampires before her cased her to tense up in her chair and cower a bit in fear, wondering if a fight was going to break out of if one of the vampires got so angered that they lashed out at all around them. Angel was worried.

Angels stomach aked, she was quite hungry. The blood did look quite filling at the moment. Angel watched as William and Vicorica ate. It killed her inside, they seemed like...like.... monsters. And yet... She was one of them, she knew she would have to drink the blood to survive. But knowing that people died for that blood in the bowls around her, it just killed her. Her mind now had new questions 'Whos blood is this?' 'Did they have a family? Children? Wife? Husband?' Angel suddenly felt awful, her stomach was [b]screaming[/] for her to drink the blood, her stomach feeling like someone had just been twisting and pulling it violently. Her head rested on the table, Angel looked down at her legs and held her stomach, groaning in pain.

Angel did not want to drink the blood. But she knew she would have to. Who had heard of such thing as a vegetarian vampire?

Evelyn glanced at Christof with raised brow when she heard the scoff from his lips. ”Do you have something to say?” she asked, a flash in her eyes. Normally she would have let such a thing go, perhaps rolled her eyes inwardly, but the attitude was not one she would tolerate from another vampire. She didn’t linger on it too long however before the doors to the dining hall slammed open and Mithias appeared. Evelyn’s countenance warmed into a calm, closed lip smile if only for a brief moment. She did feel more comfortable around the others when he was present. Although, she knew ahead of time what was coming. She almost felt like he’d lost part of himself when he’d turned her. And he hated to see new vampires turned at all. So upon arriving to the discovery of the three new ones, she had already begun to play through her mind how Mithias would react. She was not far off. As Viorica and Mithias argued, she sighed and took the glass of blood offered by William.

”Thank you, dear,” she said, drinking a sip before pushing her chair out and standing, walking over to the older, male vampire. She took his hand gently that was pointed at Viorica and held it in both of hers. ”It is too late to change this, Mithias. Getting angry is a waste of energy,” she said, as if no one else were in the room. The last thing she wanted was upheaval between them all. Evelyn had wished to be a vampire from the moment she realized they existed, but not everyone felt that way, and it was not a wrong emotion. In fact she understood quite well. She glanced over her shoulder towards Viorica, giving a disapproving look for the terms the woman had used. Heathen. Fledgling asses. Barbaric. She honestly did not care for the anger spewing from either of them. She couldn’t imagine what the newborns must be thinking. Although, they seemed pretty enraptured still by the red liquid before them.

After De Winters took her seat, Anrah made her way to her own between William and Angel. She did her best to ignore the argument between the tow older vampires. She knew that she would be in no condition to get in between the elder, stronger, and more experienced ones in the room. She took her own own cup and filled it with blood from the bowl labeled O-, oddly drawn to the scent coming from that bowl in particular. She turned her head to Angel as she took a sip and frowned at the other girl's obvious dilemma. She took the other girl's cup and filled it with blood from another bowl that was still full, and pushed it over to her.

"It's better than dying...again." She mentioned as she took a sip of her own drink. "They're already dead so it's not like we could help them if we wanted to. Might as well save ourselves." she whispered over the lip of her cup.

Angel nodded as she watched De Winters fill her cup. "Yes I know... But..." She says quietly. She picks up the cup and slowly brings it to her lips, opening her mouth as to take a drink. Her eyes close and seem seemes sad and frightened. She sits the cup down and shakes her head, holding her stomach that feels as though it will burst. "I-I just cant bring myself to do it... To know that someone lost theyre blood for this, I just... I cant." She says. Her mind screaming. 'Force feed yourself! The person to give the blood is already dead or fine with theyre family! You fool youll die of starvation!'. Angel groaned. She held her head and pushed out her chair, standing up and going to the hallway, leaning agenst the wall and sliding down it, groaning. "I-I cant.... I cant!" She says quietly to herself.

Viorica watched Angel’s internal turmoil with unimpressed eyes as she continued to sip on the blood. The crimson liquid had drenched her golden dress, but Viorica didn’t mind. She never wore an impressive dress more than once; it always took away the effect if she did.

“All of you are so morbid.” She drawled, crossing her legs and flipping her red mane from her shoulder. “This isn’t fresh. I pilfered it from newly dead corpses in the morgue at the nearest hospital. So, if someone would get that Angel girl and tell her to stop her dramatics that would be great.”

“Now, down to business. It doesn’t matter how you were turned, not really. It wasn’t by me, either way.” Viorica snuck a smug glance at Mithias before returning to the table. “I understand you don’t have your memory; it will come back, eventually. Now, I was gracious enough to bring you into my home and if you don’t wish to be here, I’m sure Mithias will jump at the chance to show you to the door. But I should warn you that once you leave, you leave the only opportunity you have to learn to control your thirst for blood. Not to mention there are plenty of skills I could teach you.”

William, in his sprawled spot in his chair, waved his hand absently back and forth, studying it with a half-focused, half-glassed gaze. After quite some time, his mind began to return and he took in everything that was being said. Still in a daze, he replied to Vanity in an absent-minded kind of tone, "why tell her not to be dramatic when you yourself are the most drama-centered one here, for you are the one that let us assume and guess, and be blinded by fancy lights that even I know better ways to use for effect..."

After maybe another ten seconds, he sat up, eyes clearing, mind crystallizing from rock to glass again. Gears ground for a moment before they started working again, and he looked about the room, narrow-eyed.

"This is getting much too much for me. I need three things: a library, my book, and maybe a pitcher of blood, especially so since someone didn't die just to feed us."

Mithias stood motionless as Viorica delivered her retort. She was wrong about him, that he hated his kind or regretted his condition, as there was far more to it than that, but surprisingly, it seemed he was also wrong about her. Revealing nothing of his inner thoughts, Mithias let the facade of hateful rebel continue. In truth, seeing Viorica so suddenly hurt by his accusations was completely unexpected. Her reaction and her anxious drinking showed that she was in fact sincere. Maybe these fledglings weren't in fact hers. Although still perturbed over the situation, Mithias withdrew his condescending and damning aura. He hadn't intended to wound the vampiress so deeply.

It was easy enough to relent to Evelyn's touch. He turned away from Viorica and instead looked over each fledgling with a burdonsome sigh. The new male seemed half crazed, talking rapidly, unable to focus, and overly energetic. One girl was staunch, strong, a protector, and accepting of reality with the innocence of a child. Mithias approved of her courage. The other was afraid, pained, and confused, unable to overcome her dedication to human morality and sympathy. That one was most in jepoardy, yet her ethics resonated with his own code. What monsters would they become without proper guidance?

Christof hadn't yet said or done anything, and Mithias awaited his inevitable participation with reluctant disdain. The present elders were disgruntled, and Mithias' arrival had nearly shattered the peace. A moment went by as Angel slid down a wall and William began blathering toward Viorica. ... Mithias suddenly took a seat, his gesture, somehow setting a compelling example to follow.

Triggering a moment of silence, he lowered his eyes to the table and spoke much more soothingly. "Tell me what happened."

Christof blinked, slightly taken aback by Evelyn's comment, but he quickly regained his composure. He had initially expected her to stay silent, but it appeared he was wrong. Leaning back into the plush upholstery, he threw her a lingering, sideways glance. The corners of his lips were turned up into a lazy grin, though it had a subtle sharpness of a razorblade to it. "Oh, I do have something to say. But it just wouldn't do to make a scene in front of the kids, would it?" Christof flung his arm outwards, in a wide sweeping arc towards the fledglings. A deep, humourless chuckle bubbled up from his throat, before dissipating just as quickly. The air was already thick with unease, and he wasn't about to be the spark that set off this powder keg crowd. His expression grew impassive once again, as Mithias burst through the doors like he owned the place. Shooting another look at Evelyn, he was honestly a little offended when she didn't make a comment about Mithias's apparent rudeness. How hypocritical. Christof had always thought the two seemed a little odd; especially their interest in mortal affairs. It was almost as if they still thought they were one of them.

So it was inevitable, really, when the two eldest in the room start bickering. Both of them held vastly different ideals, and arguments like this were commonplace. As usual, Christof stayed out of it. It didn't matter to him either way, so what was the point of getting involved? Still, he couldn't help but listen, a million thoughts running through his head at once. The two had valid points, but Christof didn't hold a strong opinion. It wasn't like anything was going to change if he took sides - better to look out for himself than get into something way over his head. Most of the time, he thought about leaving, to travel again, and if he got killed by a hunter out there, so be it. He had lived long enough anyway, finally succumbing to the unending void actually didn't sound so bad. But Christof always stayed. He wasn't quite sure what compelled him to, but maybe the blood bond between all of them ran deeper than he thought. Grabbing an empty cup, he dipped it into one of the bowls, collecting a small reservoir of blood.

Christof lifted the cool metal up to his lips, and took a sip of the dark, red liquid. At that very moment, one of the fledglings... Angel, if his memory served him well, ran off into the hallway after refusing to feed. What went through her head, he didn't know, but Christof had no doubt that she would eventually give in. It didn't matter how much you tried, no one could resist the bloodlust once it took root. The fledglings were an interesting bunch, to say the least. Their reactions to getting turned could not be different from one another's. Christof hated to admit it, but he was curious as to how they came to be. So, it was to his satisfaction when Mithias asked for what happened instead.

Evelyn’s gaze left Mithias as he went to sit, while instead she motioned at William. ”Come on then. I’ll show you to the library. Bring a glass for the girl with you. We’ll find her and talk. Kaley you may join as well for this… tour I suppose,” Evelyn said in a calm, still voice, hand reaching towards William. Though if he got close enough, she would let it drop. Leaving the dining hall, the young vampiress moved into the hallway and observed Angel crumpled into a mess on the floor. Ah, so she wasn’t as lady like as she had seemed. So much emotion. It was not something Evelyn had ever really connected with or understood. It took all her energy just to put up with the erratic nature of everyone else. She couldn’t imagine if she were like them as well.

Moving to the girl, Evelyn leaned down and brushed her hair from her face in a very motherly sort of way. ”Dear, the blood was not taken from people killed to feed you. I promise. You don’t have to eat now, but I do think you must be reasonable about this, honestly,” she said softly but firmly. Patting the girl’s head she then stood and moved throughout the castle, pointing out various rooms, letting them know that any besides those of her, Mithias, Viorica, and Christof’s bedrooms were open for their taking, pointing out whose room was whose in the process so there would be no mistake. She finally did reach the library, her favorite room. Opening the great oak doors, she turned back and her eyes flashed dangerously. ”But get a single drop of blood on any page, and I’ll know. And there will be punishment,” she said, one of the first times she’d shown passion about anything since the fledglings arrival. And with that, she moved back away, headed in the direction of the dining room once more.

"Who the hell is Kal-...oh, right." Anrah mentally scolded herself for having already forgotten her false name. She brushed it off and grabbed a cup of blood for Angel, whether or not Will had gotten her one as well. Angel was sure to be hungry, as Anrah herself had three cups and was still craving more. And she saw the way Will devoured everything in those couple bowls. She followed the Elder vampiress as she led the little tour after talking with Angel briefly. Anrah left the cup of blood next to the prone girl's feet.

At the sight of the library and all the books, Anrah's nonexistent breath caught in her throat. She could already imagine spending hours in here reading and listening to soft music. She strayed from the others and lingered in the doorway as the oak doors swung shut. Then she caught up to Evelyn and with uncharacteristic energy asked, "Miss, is the library open to anyone at any time and are there restrictions and what are some of the less obobvious rules about it?" She asked in a rush and then, if she could have, blushed and looked bashful. She coughed a bit. "S-sorry...I...I guess I really like books." She said, this time ignoring the pain in her head from her blacked memories.

Angel nodded and followed, making a mental note of all the rooms, doing her best to memorize everything as to not accidentally walk into the wrong room. She nodded as she talked and then she saw the library. She smiled a bit, and this made her get a feeling that she must really like books. Though Angel was curious about her reading ability. Had she gone to school? What reading level was she? Angels mind drew a blank. She sighed, knowing this would happen. Angel walked into the library and looked around at all the books. "Interesting..." She says, amazed by all the books.

The questions asked by 'Kaley' made Angel turn around and nod in agreement. "Yes, are there any restrictions?" she asked curiously. She did not want to touch some old book that was very important and read something she shouldntve. The last thing she needed was trouble. After all, when you wake up in a strange place, are told you are a vampire and require to drink blood, and see everyone else go into a bit of a blood lust, the last thing you need is any trouble. Angel giggled at 'Kaley's reation to the library. She found it slightly funny. Angel continued to peak around at titles of books that she could read as she awaited an answer.

“Tell me what happened.”

Viorica sipped blood and let silence draw out until finally she sighed. Leaning forward, with an oddly weary look on her face, Viorica’s lips twitched as she attempted to find a way to say what she needed to say.

“There is someone that…none of you know about.” She started, wringing her fingers together and twisting them. “He was also turned by Dracula, a year or so after I was turned. We had a little…altercation…and he has been trying to get to me ever since. He turned the fledglings, I don’t know why, but he did.”

Viorica cleared her throat and tried to ignore the bad feeling in her gut. This was not good, not good at all. He had always been trying to destroy her and Viorica was frightened that he would finally succeed.

Evelyn was headed back to the dining hall when Kaley ran up behind her. Evelyn turned before the girl reached her, giving her a questioning look before she opened her mouth. ”It’s not run by the government or anything. It’s in a house. There are no rules or restrictions. Just don’t hurt the books in any form. And if you take one from it, return it eventually so someone else can enjoy it. That’s it.” she said, giving a meager shrug, as if the question had been unnecessary in the first place.

Angel had wandered up as well, and asked the same question, and giggled at Kaley’s blushing. Evelyn tilted her head. Ah, they were young, silly girls weren’t they? ”I am glad you all enjoy reading so much. I would recommend Molière or Flaubert, but there are many good choices. Enjoy,” she said, turning once more, a tad more optimistic about their new guests before walking into the dining room. When she did, she noticed the look on Viorica’s face, and paused, standing in the doorway. ”What is it?” she asked the others pointedly.

"What's this?"

A new voice sounded in the dining room, accompanying a breeze from a nearby open window. A very, very tall man appeared in front of the window in a whirlwind of change, shifting from a bat to a man's form once again. He'd been away for a few days, having not left the castle in some time before then. Grinning and turning to close the window behind him, Mitch waved his hand. "You all sound as if you've seen a ghost."
He turned to the dining table, eyes widening at the large meal before them. "Wow, you really went all out. What's the occasion?"

He looked at each elder in the room, grinning and smoothing down his clothing. The tastefully worn tweed vest, matching poor man's cap, and rolled-up sleeves of the white dress shirt beneath the vest were horribly out of place, the transformation having mussed them far out of their proper places. As he glanced around at the faces before him, though, the youngest vampire's face fell.

Taking a step toward the table, he leaned a hand on the back of a chair and cleared his throat. "What's wrong?" he asked his elders, serious concern replacing the easy grin on his face. Evelyn was in the doorway, Viorica, Christof and Mithias at the table. All looked grave, angry even. Viorica was an unusual mess, not to mention the chair he leaned on was splattered with blood, likely from the empty bowl in front of it. Mitch aimed his concerned gaze at Viorica, aa fearful innocence in the youngest vampire's face. He hadn't heard all that Viorica had said, only caught a hint of her worried tone when he arrived.

Angel heard Evelyn talking to the others. She curiously walked over and into the dinning room, curious. She saw yet another new vampire. She smiled politely on the outside, but on the inside she groaned. 'How many of them are there?!' She asked herself in her mind, It seemed every time she walked into a different room there was a new vampire. All of them seemed quite old. She wondered just how old they were.

Angel smiled at the new vampire but frowned seeing everyone so frustrated and unhappy. She raised an eyebrow. "Whats happened? And who is the new guy?" Angel asked curiously. She was confused on what was going on, then she winced in pain. The smell of the blood.. She suddenly wanted to just down every bowl. She held her stomach with one hand, one eye slightly closed due to pain. She did her best to look proper however, smoothing out her clothing and standing up straight.

Upon hearing Evelyn's tone and seeing the new vampire in the dining room, Anrah's excitement over the library was quelled. On top of that, the blood had hit her nose again and she was beginning to think that those three cups, filled to the brim, were still no where near enough. Her fangs felt unbearably sore in her mouth and the throbbing was coming back to her head. The intoxicating scent was killing any chance she had at acting both civil and civilized.

She turned back around in the hallway and saw the full cup she'd left for Angel, the one the girl hadn't even touched. She swiped it up and stayed at the back of the group as she gulped it down, feeling incredibly impolite, but the hunger seemed to drive away and morals she had. She was practically licking the left over blood out of the cup. Her body seemed to be battling with her instincts as her feet stepped forward but her body froze.

"Don't get in the way of upset superiors! Submit to them and show loyalty!" her instincts seemed to scream, rooting her in place behind Evelyn and out of the way of the Elder vampires. She was shifting from foot to foot, eyes only ever straying off the bowls of blood to look at one of the Elder vampires, and then down in shame at her lack of control. Her face scrunched up as she frowned, eyes now fixed on the floor.

"I was ready to rip their throats out earlier, why am I becoming so docile towards them?" She licked her lips and tasted some of the blood left over on it, trying to savour the taste. "Is it because they fed me? Took me in? Explained things? Or is this my real nature and earlier was a defense mechanism?" she continued sucking on her lower lip as her internal monolog trailed off and she tuned back in to the outside world to listen ti the Elder vampires.
