The castle was huge and oddly misplaced in the small town. No one really knew where it came from, there was no historic value surrounding the castle. Many had assumed that an old man with money had just built it randomly, but they were far off. Viorica Rusalii has lived in this castle since she was a vampire fledgling. She cultivated it, tended it, as if it were her babe.
Viorica entangled a pale finger in her red hair and circled the newborns. They have yet to wake, yet to become their greatest state, yet to shed their humanity; but the moment their eyes opened, a whole new world will be present. The vampire could barely remember what it was like for her after being bitten by Dracula, but she could distantly recall feeling refreshed, as if cold water had ran down her skin on a hot, sticky day. She recalled her eyesight being sharper, clearer and vast. Her sense of smell had expanded, she could smell a beetle from miles away.
“When will they wake?” Viorica pouted, smoothing down her gold dress. She preferred to look extravagant upon meeting a new vampire.
