What Will You Do?
In the Legacy era, things are drastically different, but yet the same. Again, the Galactic Empire attempts to raise itself as it always does. Tables are turned, friends are betrayed; no one can be trusted anymore. One last attempt to get rid of the hatred,one last chance to get rid of the lingering Republic; it was to be the largest battle, and hopefully the last. But the wars had waged on for too long, lives being lost for petty reasons. Civil wars, slaughtering of innocents, it was going to end. Just not the way anyone planned. All the mightiest of warships were gathered, the battle space being held over Coruscant. The sky upon Coruscant lit up red and green and other colors, the sun becoming blocked out by the fleets. Both sides taking brutal damage, but then it became quiet. Some thought they had gone deaf, some thought they were just in shock. Then, some sort of light, an indescribable color, and then there was nothing. In an instant, the sound, the environment, everything came back. It was a rush, freaking everyone out. Explosions, everywhere. Fighters and ships, one after another, suddenly imploding for no reason. Some tried to retreat, but it didn't matter. Then the planet of Coruscant, its surface going up in flames and smoke, its cities destroyed. There was no where to run.
It didn't just happen on Coruscant. Major Jedi's, Sith, Imperial Soldiers and bases, Rebel soldiers and bunkers, all erupting or catching fire.Not only the Empire or Republic were affected either. Any and all major military's were annihilated. Some leaving behind ruin or just charred remains of what once was. The war had ended, for everyone.
The year is 47 ABY, almost 8 years after the last war and the annihilation of major military's and organizations. What remains is little, the most that remains is the older military technology dating back to around 10 ABY and earlier. The technology of this galaxy had been pushed backwards in time, and anyone who held schematics or information on newer technology could be seen as a god among men, for they would have the power to dominate the battlefronts. The Republic, major hutt rulings, the Empire, they were all gone. Very, very few survived. Perhaps less than 5% of each survived. For the Jedi, only Padawans live. The Sith, or Dark Jedi, it is unknown. Several planets turned to dust and desert.... uninhabitable, worthless, unbreathable and perhaps even dangerous.
What will happen now? Technically considered included as an Infinity era, this time time takes place after the beginning of the Legacy era, but the most common technology being almost set back to the battle of Yavin. This does not discontinue newer technology, but it is exceedingly hard to find. Most say that Imperial and Republic remnants hold the last remaining data for what was considered 'current' technology, or at least, military technology. Will new organizations rise up? Will the rest of the galaxy figure out what happened? Or will things just never change...
The Republic/Rebel Remnants have taken claim to Mygeeto, whereas the Imperial Remnants have taken claim to Mustafar.
The Republic/Rebel Remnants have militarized and began rebuilding Mygeeto. Most species that lived on Coruscant now reside on Mygeeto as a homeworld, but Dantooine is increasingly becoming more popular, but it is still considered a 'civilian' planet. Mustafar is now the Imperial Remnants and/or Sith's homeworld.
This means that Sith or Imperials will most likely start 'fresh' on Mustafaar and Ordinary people or Republic Remnants with start 'fresh' on Mygeeto or Dantooine. This is not required nor is one required to start 'fresh.'

The point of this roleplay would be, well, make your own story and not be forced to do one thing or another. The setting is that most, if not all, major planets with the ability of constructing several ships at a time or large ships (and high grade technology) are gone. Reverting back technology to less planet killing ways and more ship countering, for the most part. While military technology has been set far back, civilian and trade technology is still high enough to nearly the New Republic era. This roleplay will encourage old and new style ships of all kinds due to most high grade technology to be hard to find, essentially making Old Republic era ships very useful since that technology is mastered. You can either strive for your own Empire style Organization, your own organization of any kind, try to revive the Republic with your own style of Republic, bounty hunt, or anything. If you want to discover what happened, then you can do that too. But there are some on the quest for what caused the massive destruction, seeing it as a power worth while to control, or a power that needs to be destroyed or guarded. What will be on your journey?
As a reminder, in this kind of galaxy now, there is no one to baby you or carry you along. If you're not a part of the Major Org, even being a part of the pirates or Republic or Sith, you'll probably have to get a lot of stuff yourself. Your credits, inventory, discoveries, everything little is important. But with being a random spacer gives you limitless possibilities. I was just talking to someone and telling them an example of one thing they could do. Every play KotOR 2? Be in a freighter that was damaged while on its way to Coruscant or something, ship is heavily damaged and you've lost your memory and there's someone else in the freighter with you, but they are dead. Or you're alone and an escape pod is gone. You were on a planet, fighting the Empire but not a part of the Rebels, maybe a local, and you witnessed the flash of light and then the Rebels and the Imperial soldiers began to burn. Literally, just run it through here and I'll more than likely let it go through. You can try out anything you want here, look at it as a sandbox. The Major Organization is probably the strongest Organization right now (But it doesn't have a fuckton of ships, just has the ability to make good ships), you don't have to look at it as the invincible freedom fighters of the galaxy. Fight it, take it on if you want, capture their stuff. Be one of the minor Orgs. It's been 8 years, did you make a small clone or droid army? What ships do you have access to. In the end it comes down to; What will you do?
Just a few examples of what you could do
The year is 47 ABY. There was a cataclysmic event that occurred almost 8 years ago that ended the Second Galactic Civil War in mere seconds. Some say it was a higher power, some say it was the ancients... some even say it was the Darkside of the Force. Whatever was left of the Republic/Alliance, the Jedi, the Sith and Empire, they all retreated once the aftermath finished. The Light, as some have come to call it, destroyed entire ships, burned people alive, exploded planets or turned their atmosphere into fire or lava, turning the entire planet into a wasteland. Shipyards and space stations all over erupted, the debris drifting everywhere, even crashing into healthy planets and killing millions. Little is known about the Light, but those who can sense the force say it had something to do with the Darkside. Soldiers, Major Sith's and Jedi's alike, were engulfed in flame. The Jedi and Sith Order falling to nothing. All that remained were a handful of military power on each side and Padawan's or Sith/Jedi in training. Along with that, technology has hampered, reverted back decades upon decades, leaving behind only the ability to retrofit older models. Now, the power in the galaxy lies in schematics, designs, and datalogs. All that was left for the general inhabitants of the galaxy were smaller and generic ships from decades ago and ships from the start of the Old Republic.However, some Shipyard's still exist, but the only ships left that can create shipyard's are only useful on older large ships, not enough for superweapon ships. Only one major Shipyard remains, and it is held under the control of the organization that has risen enough to protect nearby inhabitants from the rising crime rate of pirates who have been scavenging the debri's of broken ships and gaining armies of fighters. The Organization, called DFT (Defense Force of Tiberius), still only has control over a few planets, and still few influence. The Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire are the only ones known to possess great ship schematics of the current and older years, but they have no shipyard's.
The DFT currently has control of Dathomir and its moons. Oddly enough, it appeared the Light affected some entire species or even just attuned to force holders, as in some situations Padawan's were also engulfed in flame. The planet of Dathomir was untouched, unlike the sentients that once lived on it. The DFT has minor influence surrounding the planet and it's moons and some trade lanes.

The Mandalorian Protectorate is centred around the world Mandalore and it's people. A largely rural world Mandalorians have their own code of honour and live their lifes by it. Every child undergoing warrior training as well as gaining other valuable life skills. After the light the Mandalorians mainly focused on their own planet managing to push off invaders and rebuild infrastructure, while abandoning their habitable moon Concordia which they instead lease out to the DFT for a home for refugees.

Even though the Pirate Organization that has taken a large percentage of the known galaxy into their influence, it is increasingly harder to get any kind of basis of their fleet. What is known is that the Pirates have very nearly thousands of
Uglies, due to the high destruction of the Rebels and Empire fleets, not to mention smaller organizations being hit in the crossfire of the Light. Known ship sightings include

Space ARC Star Cruiser's which seem to act as command ships, which means the pirates are becoming strategic and strong if they are creating fleets, which serves a large problem with the amount of ships they posses. The very reason DFT was created in the first place
The planet Saleucami was one to be destroyed, its pieces scattered randomly, but it wasn't completely destroyed. With the planet 'broken open,' this is where the pirates home "world" resides. An entire junkfort created within the hollowed open planet surrounded by dozens of junk ships, uglies, and junk defenses. Powerful and weak at the same time, their force is too great to attack, but the weakness is the same reason why they haven't attacked yet. While they only directly control the surrounding space, the pirates are scattered across the galaxy. No space lane is safe. The Pirates mostly consist of the Gotal species, and they do as they please.

Greetings! Essentially, this roleplay consist of all the knowledge all the way to the Legacy era but most ship technology has been reverted to around 10 ABY. There is no set story to follow and there is no main character that finishes the story. You are the important player, everything about you matters. No players, no new Jedi/Sith, no changes to history, you make history. In this roleplay what you have, matters. There is nothing to carry you, only you. Whether you have information, credits, ships, anything in your inventory, barter is very important now. With the destruction of nearly everything, planets and credits going away as well, has decreased the price of things, but that also means less in your pocket. You can do as you please in this roleplay. Obvious as long as 1) it doesn't break lore or logic and 2) the GM approves it. Side Note; I need Co-GM's to do this effectively, please. The roleplay, I mean. You could wake up with memory loss, you could have been in the Rebel Alliance or the Empire (but discharged), make your own Republic or Empire, rebuild Sith/Jedi orders, be a spy, bounty hunter, smuggler. Literally every role is important now as there is no grand scheme, what you, a single individual, do, can alter everything. You could even deceive the DFT, get them to make you ships, then attack them and try to take their shipyard's. You could create a Droid or Clone Army. It's been 8 years, and now everyone is stable and settled in, What Will You Do?

There is no starting point to this roleplay. When the roleplay is ready, players roleplay where and when they want, within the requirement of at least 1 post every 4 days. Make a mission, give missions, do missions, do whatever your want. You can search for what and why the Light happened, or you can strive to create the most powerful ships in the galaxy, or restore an old Order, even just exist, the choice is yours.
