What Will You Do?



The year is 47 ABY. There was a cataclysmic event that occurred almost 8 years ago that ended the Second Galactic Civil War in mere seconds. Some say it was a higher power, some say it was the ancients... some even say it was the Darkside of the Force. Whatever was left of the Republic/Alliance, the Jedi, the Sith and Empire, they all retreated once the aftermath finished. The Light, as some have come to call it, destroyed entire ships, burned people alive, exploded planets or turned their atmosphere into fire or lava, turning the entire planet into a wasteland. Shipyards and space stations all over erupted, the debris drifting everywhere, even crashing into healthy planets and killing millions. Little is known about the Light, but those who can sense the force say it had something to do with the Darkside. Soldiers, Major Sith's and Jedi's alike, were engulfed in flame. The Jedi and Sith Order falling to nothing. All that remained were a handful of military power on each side and Padawan's or Sith/Jedi in training. Along with that, technology has hampered, reverted back decades upon decades, leaving behind only the ability to retrofit older models. Now, the power in the galaxy lies in schematics, designs, and datalogs. All that was left for the general inhabitants of the galaxy were smaller and generic ships from decades ago and ships from the start of the Old Republic.However, some Shipyard's still exist, but the only ships left that can create shipyard's are only useful on older large ships, not enough for superweapon ships. Only one major Shipyard remains, and it is held under the control of the organization that has risen enough to protect nearby inhabitants from the rising crime rate of pirates who have been scavenging the debri's of broken ships and gaining armies of fighters. The Organization, called DFT (Defense Force of Tiberius), still only has control over a few planets, and still few influence. The Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire are the only ones known to possess great ship schematics of the current and older years, but they have no shipyard's.

The DFT currently has control of Dathomir and its moons. Oddly enough, it appeared the Light affected some entire species or even just attuned to force holders, as in some situations Padawan's were also engulfed in flame. The planet of Dathomir was untouched, unlike the sentients that once lived on it. The DFT has minor influence surrounding the planet and it's moons and some trade lanes.












The planet Saleucami was one to be destroyed, its pieces scattered randomly, but it wasn't completely destroyed. With the planet 'broken open,' this is where the pirates home "world" resides. An entire junkfort created within the hollowed open planet surrounded by dozens of junk ships, uglies, and junk defenses. Powerful and weak at the same time, their force is too great to attack, but the weakness is the same reason why they haven't attacked yet. While they only directly control the surrounding space, the pirates are scattered across the galaxy. No space lane is safe. The Pirates mostly consist of the Gotal species, and they do as they please.

Greetings! Essentially, this roleplay consist of all the knowledge all the way to the Legacy era but most ship technology has been reverted to around 10 ABY. There is no set story to follow and there is no main character that finishes the story. You are the important player, everything about you matters. No players, no new Jedi/Sith, no changes to history, you make history. In this roleplay what you have, matters. There is nothing to carry you, only you. Whether you have information, credits, ships, anything in your inventory, barter is very important now. With the destruction of nearly everything, planets and credits going away as well, has decreased the price of things, but that also means less in your pocket. You can do as you please in this roleplay. Obvious as long as 1) it doesn't break lore or logic and 2) the GM approves it. Side Note; I need Co-GM's to do this effectively, please. The roleplay, I mean. You could wake up with memory loss, you could have been in the Rebel Alliance or the Empire (but discharged), make your own Republic or Empire, rebuild Sith/Jedi orders, be a spy, bounty hunter, smuggler. Literally every role is important now as there is no grand scheme, what you, a single individual, do, can alter everything. You could even deceive the DFT, get them to make you ships, then attack them and try to take their shipyard's. You could create a Droid or Clone Army. It's been 8 years, and now everyone is stable and settled in, What Will You Do?

Player Positions
Bounty Hunter/Smuggler/Explorer/Surveyor -- any role that is similar and/or neutral goes here :: Maximum of 3 | 0/3 (Gains a ship, a low sum of credits, ship schematics)
Padawan / Jedi/Sith in Training :: Maximum of 3 each (3 Jedi's and 3 Sith max each) | 1/3, 1/3 (Small amount of training, Padawan's have no lightsaber, Do have Powers, but weak, and few. Less powers for Padawan's. Sith/Jedi in Training gains knowledge of ancient ship designs, Padawan gains recent Jedi Fighter ship design, no credits)
Minor Organization Leader :: Maximum of 2 (One of them gains a small shipyard, other does not) | 2/2 (One gains small Shipyard, large sum of credits, few ship schematics, small army of choice, one moon of choice. Other gains large sum of credits, many ship schematics, one moon of choice.)
Ex-Soldier (Of Rebellion or Empire) :: Maximum of 2 each (2 ex-Empire and 2 ex-Rebellion max each) | 0/2, 1/2 (Gain a Fighter with hyperdrive, small amount of credits, fighter schematics)
Soldier of DFT :: Maximum of 2 | 0/2 (Gain a Starfighter or small Frigate (With loyal crew to you), decided by GM, small amount of credits)

All of the advantages and disadvantages can be different depending on your backstory. Spicy backstory? Collab'd backstory? Make them beautiful, you get more rewards.

There is no starting point to this roleplay. When the roleplay is ready, players roleplay where and when they want, within the requirement of at least 1 post every 4 days. Make a mission, give missions, do missions, do whatever your want. You can search for what and why the Light happened, or you can strive to create the most powerful ships in the galaxy, or restore an old Order, even just exist, the choice is yours.

Commonplace items that don't make you OP or you can use to sell for incredible amounts of Credits.

You can have your personal lightsaber, which is what ever you want. You just have those other two which you can sell or do whatever with

Skills: David's skill with the force is largely focused on his own senses and his own being. He has keenly tuned Force sense, and can use it to create a protective aura, and also to heal himself.
He is trained in lightsaber combat, and practices forms on his own, but has never been tested against a real opponent. He is a practitioner(however unseasoned) of both Shien and Djem So variations of Form V.

Background: Was picked up as a padawan by the only recently rebuilt Jedi Order at the age of eight. David was sixteen, already an apprentice under a master, when the Light came. He was given charge of a small freighter that his master owned, and was told to flee. After the Light, there were so few places left to go, the only Jedi friendly planet he knew for sure of was Ilum, so he went there.
In the intervening years, he has built a new, sort of makeshift Jedi Temple on the planet. David is the only surviving Jedi he knows of, and as such is making it his mission to restore the Order. On Ilum, he trained for years before he finally took the customary vision quest to retrieve a crystal for his first hand built lightsaber. Upon completing it, his formal training was complete, and he decided, on his own but out of necessity, that he was a fully fledged Jedi Knight. After this, he knew it was imperative that he take on an apprentice before he revealed himself to the remains of the galaxy. And so, he has been hunting. He visited refugee camps in the guise of a kind young man giving aid, and when he was there he would feel out for anyone with potential. So far, no one has itched his senses.
In addition to finding an apprentice, he also has a pet obsession in finding lost knowledge of the Force. He seeks out places that he knows are strong with the Force, hoping to make a connection to it, or to the Jedi Masters of the past. So far the biggest, and also most horrifying, thing he has found was shortly after the Light, when he was combing the rubble of Coruscant. He felt an itch in the Force, something that was connected to it, and when he followed this feeling he found an ancient Sith holocron. It was, as far as he can figure, part of the Jedi temple's collection of artifacts. David made a point to lock it away as tightly as he could, knowing that it could easily turn any Force sensitive who unlocked it. He has been sorely tempted to unlock it himself. On occasion, he convinces himself that he can withstand the darkside, and that the knowledge he could gain from the device would be invaluable. But he always comes to his sense. The holocron sits in a vault on Ilum, and it is still the greatest lead he has ever found.

Some doubted the young David's ability to guide them, some wanted to seek out their former families(a pitfall, David realizes, of the New Order's willingness to take on older students). Either way, the order is diminished and weak. But David, as the oldest Jedi he is aware of, is determined to bring it back.

The chief booking crew are more than capable of dealing with riots and unruly prisoners due to the small armory of non lethals that are stashed in the booking cage [WIP]

The droids I'll check out at home. An area to construct armor and an area for food growing is fine too. The food area can be completed within the year, the armor factory a little longer.

The jedi really won't be bothering you, trust me, especially with the fact the major/master/knight jedi's are dead and the Rebellion doesn't have a war fleet anymore. Most you have to deal with are the Pirates, oh and play noce with DFT

Quick question. Is there a way to get new gear? Or ships or something? I mean since we have credits i would Assume so. If we can get new Stuff, would we be able to for Example do Whatever we Wanted with them? Within Reason I mean.
