Hearing Will's question, he smiled slyly.

"Of course. You just need to give me a shadow." he looked around, seeing barely any source of light strong enough to produce a shadow he could manipulate.

Will smirked whistling to Mary who flew over to him and he petted her head then he whispered into her ear she took off hitting one of the hanging lights casting shadows opposite side of the gate. She flew back and landed on her bookshelf and went back to preening her feathers ignoring them all. Will grinned "Does that work for you?"

Allie moved Will's head so he would be comfortable as she dug around in her bag. She took out a couple of tylenol and placed them into his hand. "Here you go, take these. These should help the pain for a while. I keep them around in case I start feeling too bad." She then took out a small book light. "Will this do for light? It will at least make the shadow a little bigger. It's all I've got. Thank god Mary's so smart."

Jonathan went on his regular day stroll when he notice a couple of thugs kidnapping a women and taking her to an alley. " Hey kidnapping a lady isn't very nice." John said walking towards one of the thugs." Yo handle this kid while we finish are business with this chick!" One of the thugs shouted throwing the other one a wooden bat. The thug charged at John smashing and breaking the bat on Johns head. John didn't even budge the only thing that happened was a little bit of blood dripping from his forehead.
"That wasn't nice either." Black smoke impaled the man through the chest with in seconds killing him.
"What the hell....."
John walked slowly towards the last two thugs and glared at them as if he was starring into there souls.
A few minutes later screams and sounds of flesh being ripped apart was herd from the alley. John carried the young woman to the coos and went home to clean the unusual amount of blood on his clothes.

Will sat up putting an arm around Allie to support himself. "Does that help? I mean I could go look for a flashlight or something if you need me to." He hoped it would be enough as he really didn't need to go looking for a light in his condition, still he wanted those answers, bad. "Hey Allie... Why were so worried earlier? Were you worried I was gonna die?"

"Plenty."
Alex quickly got to work. Jumping into the shadow itself, he moved under the door with great speed. He started playing with the locks, but couldn't quite get them. So he decided to blast them out.

Standing back about a few feet, Alex focused all his energy into his throat, then his mouth, and finally his tongue. With such force, his voice came out, speaking no words, but moving the atoms in the air around him. When the atoms reached the door, they had so much kinetic energy that the metal couldn't handle the force, and basically exploded apart.

And then he grinned.

Will clapped as he watched Alex explode the door open. Getting up he stumbled towards it the gate "Thanks, I never caught your name by the way, I'm Will Remington by the way." He extended his left hand out to shake Alex's as he leaned up against the surviving frame of the door. "So care to join us in finding out why the hell we have these powers? And more importantly how we got them."

Allie smiled sheepishly. "Well, yeah. I know how it feels when you look that bad, but I know I won't die when it happens. I didn't know if you were or not. Now, take the medicine I gave you." She then flinched when Alex bursted open the lock. "Wow! What power!"

Alex shook the man's hand, quite vigorously. "Alex." he said. Abruptly, he turned to face Allie.
"You've a lot to learn. 'Power'." he said mockingly. "Powers help people. What we have? It's a curse."

Turning back to Will, he faintly smiled. "Gladly."

Allie's face reddened a bit and she nodded. "Yes, you're absolutely right. I'm Allie. Glad you'll be joining us, Alex. Hopefully we can find a way to get rid of our curses together."

Popping the pills Allie gave him, he limped over to the first bookshelf "All we need to do is find the books we want and leave before the librarian gets back and they confiscate them from us. Alex you check the far end Allie and I will check down here; Mary will chirp if someone starts this way then we get out before we get caught, alright?"

Faeya looked up at the clock and noticed the teacher was late, meaning she could leave. She then looked up at the boy talking to her and said "I don't think I can. Not right now anyway; but what I can do is leave. Which is what I'm gonna do. I'll... I guess I'll talk to you some other time." She smiled softly and stood. Just before leaving the class, Faeya gave the boy a small wave. She made her way to her favorite place, the library, and just barely saw the kids from class. Her eyes widened as she noticed a door had exploded. She walked over to them and said "wh-what are you guys doing?"

Silently walking passed the busy students as they buzzed back and forth between classes, Azazel made his way to the rear of the campus toward the schools clock tower. Unbeknownst to him, someone had begun to follow him, though they kept themselves concealed an out of sight. Pushing passed the rather rusted, barely used doors and began his way up the steps toward the top the clock tower. The stairwell was empty and hollow, allowing his steps to echo through the building.

The brave girl followed the strange guy out of the school. She noticed that he didn't speak or wave to anyone as he exited the building. When Theodora saw that he was going inside of the clock tower her heart started beating faster. "Now we're talking." She smirked as she sped up to slip in the door quietly behind him. She was so intent on stalking her prey, she didn't notice that her steps were echoing throughout the empty stairwell.

Finally at the top of the stairs, Azazel came upon a rather old looking steel door leading to the inner workings of the clock within the tower. A rusty lock and chain was fastened around the handle, dangling lightly as Azazel approached. He stared at the lock for a moment as the shadow beneath his feet began to roil and quake, rising from the ground in a small patch of obsidian tendrils. The shadows crept up the door and wrapped around the chains, swiftly reducing them to metal bits which clattered to the floor. Pause was given as Azazel listened quietly to the light jingling of the falling metal, and couldn't help but hear what sounded like footsteps. An absent stare was passed over his shoulder for a quiet moment before he pushed aside the heavy door and continued into the giant clock. A loud metallic creak escaped the door as it slowly closed behind him. Surrounded by gears, cogs, and machines, Azazel found his path across a catwalk of steel grates and up a set of rusty stairs toward a tangle ticking mechanisms.

Theodora hurried to keep up with the boy as he quickly ascended the stairs. She heard some odd noises coming from the top. When the noises stopped, there was silence and Theodora realized her steps were bouncing off the walls of the tiny space. She came to a sudden stop and listened, expecting the guy to say something. When he didn't and she hear him walking again, she finished climbing the stairs. When the reached the top, she saw the remains of what looked like a lock and a chain. The door in front of her was closed. She cursed under her breath thinking that it was closed. She was about to head back down the stairs to join the others when she though of something. She closed her eyes and concentrated. She let the air fill her lungs and then she pushed it our, creating a small blast of air. Surprisingly the door opened., Theodora pushed up aside and stepped into the clock. Her eyes grew in wonder as she stared at all of the cogs and gears. Just as she looked over, she saw the guy disappear down a catwalk. "Hey! You! Were are you going?" She ran after him, still looking at the inside of the clock in awe.

Through the thicket of spinning cogs and chains pulling counterweights was a small room looking at the inside of the massive clock. The shadow of the large ticking hands crept across the stained class, rolling over the numbers on the clocks face. Azazel came to a stop, just in front of the door, and reached for the knob, when the faint sound of a girls voice called out, catching his attention. The shadows at his feet subtly flickered as he watched the young woman appear from the darkness, running to catch him. Raising an eyebrow, Azazel looked at her for a moment, before withdrawing his hand from the doorknob and vanishing into a small cloud of black vapor which absorbed into the shadows below. "So it was you who was following me?" Asked a deep, english voice from behind the girl as Azazel stepped out from darkness. He looked her over quizzically, slowly leaning against a wall as his coat dangled over his form. "Have you finally come to take me away madam?" A scowl crossed is face as the eyes of a vicious beast stared out from his visage. "Or are you one of the ones they've sent to kill me?"

When she finally caught up to him, Theodora was about to speak when the guy disappeared. She jumped when he reappeared suddenly behind her. After a moment, she relaxed and started wondering around the room. "So I am going to guess that your power has something to do with shadows." She waited a beat then said, "It's beautiful up here. I can see why you like it." She smiled in his direction, but noticing his scowl she shrugged. "Calm down loner boy. I saw you leave the school building and I wanted to know what you were up to, so I followed you." Her blue eyes landed on the door that the guy was about to open. "What's in there?" She pushed off with her hands and floated over to the door. When she landed she had to breathe deeply so as not to faint. "Well, are we going to go in or not?"

Azazel's cold expression softened as the young woman spoke, behavior not befitting that of a threat. She seemed to have a rather innocent look in her eyes. "You shouldn't sneak around behind people. You could get in trouble." He watched as she wandered toward the door, addressing it with her curiosity. "A stranger...a dark secluded attic in a clock tower...no friends around..and now you want to see whats behind door number one?" Azazel chuckled. "I'm willing to bet you're rather excitable...aren't you madam?" With a wave of his gloved hand, the door gave a loud clack and creaked open. Within was a dark and dusty room filled with shelves of books, old chairs, and web covered tables. "You must either be very luck...or you have a secret." Azazel smiled. "I'm willing to bet you'll tell me your secret if I offer to tell you mine." He motioned toward the room, his form dissipating into a pool of shadows which crawled across the ground and darted into the dark room.

Alex looked at the new face.
"Blowing up doors," he said. "I thought it was pretty obvious." Alex seemed to have cheered up, quite a bit.
