People are disappearing. Normally I wouldn't think that much of it, just some people wanting to go off the grid except........

This city is usually quite peaceful, quiet. I work to keep it that way....... But this, this is just bizarre. There's no pattern, no profile, just a string of random disappearances as if the victims were abducted by aliens. The crime-scenes are all spitting images of the others, door ajar, pool of the victim's blood, TV displaying static, and worst of all....... A bloody serpent manipulated to consume it's own tail, nailed to the door. What's going on? Where are the victims? Are they still alive? Is this the work of some cult? The flashing red lights of the squad cars illuminated the dark, empty front lawn around me, the sound of rain pattering against the rooftops permeated the moist air. One final thought struck me.

..............What do those high-schoolers know that I don't?

OKay, here we are the OOC! Without further ado information dump! But first some obligatory rules.....



The place this RP will take place is the city of Hirameki, which I've made up. Hirameki is a large metropolis and it's entire Eastern side is beach and pier space. Most transportation is done by train or car, walking from one side of the city to the other would take an entire day. All of the PCs will be highschool students aged 15-18 most likely, and you all attend Satoru Highschool which is one of the nicer, higher end schools in the city. Hirameki City has a few large mall complexes as well as a few prominent parks and an amusement park which is on the pier.

As for Arcana, I will allow a max of two of the same Arcana. All of them except Jester, Hunger, Judgement, World, and Universe are available to players.
You can also make original Personas so long as they are based off of a mythological figure. Also no original Skills aside from special circumstances later on (*Ahem* Social Links*Ahem*)

There will be Social Links, in a manner of speaking. You will obviously interact with each other and various NPCs throughout the RP. My plan was that as you interact with one another and with these NPCs, you will learn more about each other, grow closer, and become friends. The further along this path you tread, the more benefits will be conferred. These benefits ranging from new abilities for your Persona, maybe stronger elemental resistances, or if the growth is between two PCs, something more. These Social Links are each individual and are only limited by the amount of PCs and NPCs, meaning you can form these bonds with anyone that it makes sense to.

Shadows. In this RP your Shadow isn't what you repress per se. It's what you desire most in the whole-wide world. Think what your greatest desire is, the thing you would give anything to be or have, then subvert and pervert it to the extreme. That is what your shadow is, an extreme manifestation of your desire. Also for all Shadow stuff I would like you to PM them to me and don't post them with the rest your Character Sheet.

Appearance: Laura is six foot tall, very scrawny and pale, with thin gangly arms and legs that are lacking in muscle. This is contracted by a very rounded, full face and a pronounced lower jaw. She has feathery short brown hair, not reaching her shoulders, and often wears a headband as her long, spiky fringe has a habit of falling in front of her face. She has greyish-blue eyes and a large splattering of orange freckles above her nose. She doesn't care much for her appearance, usually wearing shorts, old trainers, an old t-shirt and some kind of hoodie or jacket if it's cold.

Personality: Laura is an anxious person, very nervous and twitchy, and unable to sit still for long amounts of time. When talking to others, expect nervous laughter or smiles often, as she finds it difficult to be comfortable around people. She'll often hang around with large groups of people, people who she is acquainted with but not really friends as she finds it difficult to get close to others. She's had bad experiences in the past with friends who have accused her of being too dependent or clingy, so she's tried to break away from that and tries to seem more aloof, independent and will sometimes spend time alone so others don't get the impression she is too needy. The truth is, though, she hates being alone as it offers her no distraction from her anxieties. She worries about everyone, tiny little things that will set her off and make her upset. The only thing that distracts her are her passions, which she can sometimes get so involved in she loses track of time.

Backstory: Laura's parents are divorced. They separated when Laura was still living in London, when she was only 9. She lived with her mother, though she worked late at night so Laura found herself under the care of her aunt a lot of time. When Laura was 11, her mother met a new man, a Japanese man, on a business trip. The two of them got along quite well and, within a year, they decided to get married. Laura was uncertain, but went along with it as she knew it made her mum happy. They ended up moving to her stepfather's home in Hirameki not long after. Laura was sad to be leaving her home and her friends behind, and has found it difficult to trust her new stepfather. However, they tolerate each other and Laura has settled into life at Hirameki, albeit slightly begrudgingly.

Personality: Charles is a friendly and outgoing boy. While he is perfectly content to stay in his room and read stories of knights, he loves to be around other people. He is bright and cheerful, with a smile that can lighten up a room. On the other side, it has been noted by others that on the rare times when he feels depressed, his gloomy mood seems to effect everyone else in the room. This lead some people who know him well to say that his moods are infections. With few exceptions, he doesn't have much in the way of personal boundaries, so yeah; he's a kind of touchy feely guy
Backstory: Charles only spent the first 5 years of his life in jolly old Britten, before his family moved to Japan. While it was really hard to learn a completely new language as well as 4 new alphabets (what is wrong with you Japan!?), he was still young enough that he was able to learn to speak Japanese fluently eventually. While Charles didn't spend much time in the land of his ancestors, he was there long enough to pick up a literary subject to nearly obsess over; Arthurian Lore. Young Charles was sucked into the world crafted by King Arthur and his knights. Even after moving to Japan, he still sought out all the stories about the Knights of the Round Table that he could find. Some say that is was his way of connecting to his roots, however Charles doesn't agree. He simply saw something wonderful in a world where a king could put his pride as a king aside to sit with other knights at a round table, one which implied equality to all who sat at it. Where those with power wielded it for the sake of those without power; "might for right". To Charles, such a world seemed almost too beautiful to conceive...almost. While Arthurian Lore was always something special to him, that didn't stop him from reading other stories about knights. Through them, he experienced many adventures undertaken by brave knights. Toppling evil kings, saving damsels in distress, and slaying evil monsters. Eventually he couldn't help but wonder; what would it be like to actually do those things. Appearance: Tim is somewhat short for a young man his age. It upsets him a bit when someone points this out. Despite seeming weak and fragile, he is actually stronger than he looks. He has an athletic build and is physically fit due to having lived in a small town all of his life, and spending a lot of time running around outside. He spends a good amount of time in the sun so his skin is lightly tanned as a result, not pale but not bronzed either. He has messy black hair on top of his head, and his bangs go to his eyebrows. He has big brown eyes, a small nose, and a round "Babyface", which give him a youthful appearance. His face is clean-shaven, and his upper body is free of any hair except the top of his head and eyebrows.

Tim prefers to dress simply and casually. He doesn't want to have to fuss with his clothes, or worry about ruining them, as well as being comfortable in them. His usual outfit usually consists of a T-shirt, shorts, and sneakers. His favorite shirt is a loose-fitting dark blue and white striped T-shirt. He wears a pair of khaki cargo shorts on the bottom that are held up by a black leather belt. His footwear of choice are a pair of comfortable grey sneakers and short white socks. He carries a blue backpack to store whatever essential items he might need to have at the moment.

Personality: Tim is a shy and quiet individual by nature. He was always this way, and being bullied as a kid didn't help. He is very sensitive, and he fears being bullied. He usually speaks with a quiet voice, and occasionally a stutter when he's nervous. He also becomes very apologetic when someone shows any hint of being upset. He has a thing for animals, and he usually prefers being with animals than with people. Animals will listen without judgement, and only expect a little kindness in return. He is gentle and softspoken, which seems to be the reason why he has such an easy time with animals. He gets scared easily, his worst phobia being stage fright. He gets really nervous when having to speak or perform in front of an audience. He really wants to be the brave, but it's harder than it looks.

Despite being shy, he is by no means antisocial. If you talk to him, you'll find he's quite friendly, and polite. He can laugh and make jokes like any other kid. He is always happy to have to new friends, because his shyness makes it difficult to make them. He is very affectionate and loyal to those he likes. He hates it when people are angry around him, so he tries his best to keep the peace. In conversations, he is usually more of a listener than a talker, and he has no problems being a sounding board when someone wants to vent (As long as they don't hurt him.) Tim is very kind to others, often to a fault. He is very trusting of people, and is willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Tim is usually very difficult to anger, and is very quick to forgive someone when he does get mad. However, during the times when he is not in a good mood, he can be quite scary if you do catch him at a bad moment. He doesn't want to burden others with his problems, and he fears being made fun of, so he keeps his feelings to himself. This causes him personal frustration. When it gets to be too much, he'll lash out at the target, and let out his pent up rage. He dislikes bullying (towards himself or others,) as well as people being needlessly cruel to animals. Doing one of those things is the best way to get him upset.

Tim is very careful and calculating, and although he doesn't like to brag about it, the boy is intelligent. He always thinks before he speaks, and prefers not to wrecklessly jump into danger. However, due to his insecurity he is often uncertain if the choices he makes are the right ones. He can easily be convinced to change his mind. This leaves him with some anger when the plan fails and he knew his original idea would have worked. He also doesn't like violence all that much, having been a victim of it most of his life. Although he doesn't look like it, Tim has a big appetite. He likes eating many different kinds of foods, and has the cooking skills to match.

Backstory: Tim was born in Los Angeles, California, and has lived there his whole life. His mom was a veterinarian, while his dad was a meteorologist. Tim's parents weren't rich, but they did all they could to give their son a good life, and give him every advantage. While they expressed having high hopes for their son's success, they tried not to put too much pressure on the boy. Tim's father was shy and bookish, and Tim seems to have gotten those traits from him. For the most part, his life was normal. Tim was often a target of bullying because of his shyness, tendency to get scared easily, and because he was clumsy. No matter what he did to get them to stop it, it always failed or they found something else to give him crap about. It gave him self-esteem issues, resulting in him becoming even more timid. As a result, he had very few friends growing up. He didn't tell anyone about the bullying, lest it become worse. He saw other kids get beaten up much worse after they snitched, and he didn't want that to happen. So he kept it all inside and let his resentment build.

While he takes after his dad as far as his temperament is concerned, he inherented a few things from his mom besides her looks. From an early age, he always had a special talent for caring for animals, just like her. They seem to be fond of him due to his softspoken nature. He often finds sick, or injured animals and cares for, plays with, and feeds them when no one else will. His mother often brought her work home with her, so the boy practically grew up around animals. Around animals, Tim felt much more like himself. He found relief from the stresses of life, and he's found they are the best friends he could ask for. He always knew he wanted to do something with animals when he gets older. He just wasn't sure what. Life continued as normal for the boy. Although the bullying has stopped when he started high school, it still had an effect on him, which is why he didn't talk to other students all that much.

His mother thinking it would be a good idea to broaden her son's horizons, and help him meet people, decided to put him in a foreign exchange program. When Tim found out what his mother did, he was completely against the idea, (although, he didn't voice that. This was his mom after all.) Now, he's currently living in the foregin city of Hirameki, and attending Satoru High School. He's finding it to be not as bad as he thought it was going to be, but he still prefers to keep to himself.

Appearance: Kazumi is tall for for a girl at 5'11", she's lean but stronger then she looks from all her years of learning martial arts. She has long black hair that reaches to her lower back which she often ties up into a knot so it doesn't get in the way she when she practices, her bangs are combed to the right side and it's really messy when it gets dry or hot. She has oval dark brown eyes behind her round glasses. Her skin has a tan from being outside often and the odd bruise and bandage on her face, legs and arms from practice.

She loves to wear feminine clothing when she on her free time also the top of the line clothes. You never see wear anything two days in a row, besides her martial arts robes. Her main outfit outside of the school uniform is a Green sweater over a black blouse, a pleated plaid skirt with black stockings and a pair of black flats. The rest of her wardrobe is anything decent looking to her at the time, but she has a love of big dorky sweaters which she has an odd love for no matter how impractical or unfashionable it is,
if a sweater lights up, she will wear it all winter.

Personality: A bubbly and friendly young woman who loves to move, either though walking with friends or working out she loves it all. She has a tough shell and is hard to make sad or upset, almost seemingly unaffected by terrible things or insults. She's extremely supportive and nice to new people and those younger then her, but if you get to know her she's extremely immature and carefree, she's a shameless flirt and jokes around a lot, but never at the expense of her friends or family. She buries everything inside her, she taught herself never be upset or to show it to others if it wasn't life threatening. She's holds onto negative emotions until it explodes inside out, and it is terrifying when you see how how much negative emotions she has been holding in.

Backstory: Kazumi never met her father, nor have she ever learn his name. Her parents split up weeks before she was born at the request of the mother, since the man unknown to her was a mooch and greedy man who did noting for his girlfriend or child. Her mother knew why she even liked the man, and she threatened him if she ever learn he was trying to contact the child that she would use her life long skills to use. Kazumi was born into a loving household with her mother and grandparents who did most of the care taking when she was young and her mother was at work as a bodyguard for a wealthy family. Kazumi didn't learn this until later in her life. She had a normal childhood and when she started elementary school, her mother started to teach her Tai-chi so she can start her protect herself.
Her middle school years were normal and she was doing decent in school and was getting really good in her Tai-chi lessons. She was awkward during her middle school years being taller and lankier compare to most of her classmates and having bad blemishes, she was never bullied since most of the bullies know she can beat them up easily. But it still hit her self confidence when girls point out her tallness or her big round glasses.
But she started to grow into her height quite well, as her high school was elegant and confidant compared to her lanky and awkward middle school self. And her confidence and cheeriness has only grown since then. She was decently popular and well liked but she never had any deep friendships, and nobody sure why.

During the end of her second year of highschool, Kazumi and her family had to move to Hirameki, since her mother's boss moved there. Kazumi didn't mind and she still contacts her old friends from Okinawa. But it will be boring moving to a new city in your last year of highschool since she might not make many school friends. But she hopes this new school will be a nice and fun experience.

Appearance: Mayu is a rather unassuming individual with medium length, dark purple hair she keeps in a side braid. Her matching purple eyes are terrible and she wears big, black-rimmed glasses to be able to see. She stands at 5'5" and consistently covers herself up, even during the summer time. However, if one were to look close enough, they would see how toned her calves are underneath her dark knee socks. Or how callused the palms of her hands are. Underneath all her clothes, Mayu hides a well-toned athletic build. She has numerous scars all over her body with new ones added daily.
Personality: Mayu is fairly quiet and reserved, her aloof nature putting people off and makes her isolated from her classmates. It does not bother her though for it gives the bespectacled girl the perfect distance to watch those around her. Incredibly perceptive, Mayu can catch minute details others would just look over. Overly kind and generous, Mayu will do the things no one even thinks of doing, like cleaning the classroom or watering the plants outside the school grounds. When one actually talks to her, they will see that she is quite polite, almost to the point of being cautious with her words. Her personality doesn't change much outside of school except her paranoia skyrockets. She is the kind of person who would take the long way to avoid meeting a person she knows. She is also incredibly loyal, a trait forced into her brain by her father.
Backstory: Mayu was born to a family that used to be famous in their hometown for training students in a specialized style of martial arts past down from generation to generation. The youngest of three siblings, she and her elder sister was often pushed to the side by her strict father as he molded their eldest brother to become the next head of the family. she ended up growing close to her sister, especially since her mother passed away when she was three. That was the plan until her brother broke under the pressure and ran away when she was 10. Her father turned his sights on Mayu's older sister and soon, history repeated itself as she too ran away two years later. Mayu was the only one left of her siblings and was forced to participate in intense training sessions. It did not help that barely any students came to their dojo anymore and the people of their hometown would talk about the scandals circling her family. It was about a year later that her father had to close the doors of their family dojo for good and move to Hirameki where her mother's father lined up a job for him in his company. Ashamed for his failures, Mayu's father has made it a mission to make sure she can save the family name and reopen their dojo. Whether she is okay with it remains a mystery.

Appearance:
Generally wears button up shirts, khaki cargos, and casual shoes when his not in his school uniform. Typically his school bowling shirt if his got a game or just feels like it. He has a normal pair of perscription glasses he always wears and fiddles with when his nervous. When coming into combat its generally the same thing only with his hands taped up with athletic tape.

Personality/Backstory: A friendly sort who is fairly sociable when he wants to be. Shinji is a two handed style bowling prodigy in the making. Shinji grew up practically living in the bowling alley his parents own and run. Giving him ample time to develop a fairly unique two handed bowling style that delivers an incredibly fast ball that can hit the pocket 9 out of 10 times. Constantly winning local competitions and leagues until they barred him for being too good. The young man has aspirations of going pro straight out of high school and has sponsors anxiously waiting for that time. All said though, the pressures of Japanese society have left him forced to hide his biggest desire and truth about him.

When Shinji was little, he discovered a unique attraction not to women, but towards men. However around that same time, a man who lived near the house he grew up in was savagely beaten for reportedly being a homosexual. It left Shinji scarred and afraid to be honest about his feelings. What really doesn't help matters though is that he is considered by a very large percent of girls at the school to be a very worthy bachelor. Constantly hounded for dates and other activities Shinji quickly becomes incredibly shy and avoiding. Whenever a girl finally wrangles him into a date Shinji is usually shy, not very willing to do much. It all leads people at the school to think he just really tries hard to toy girls along. But the truth is of course much more painful for Shinji himself.

Kai has long, bleached, white hair that is blown to the side so his bright bluish-purple eyes can be seen. His small frame and tall height (he's around 6'5) make him easy to spot amongst a group of people. He has a nice, kind face that is well-rounded, albeit bony and long due to his small frame. He's considerably pale for someone of his ethnicity, possibly due to his Irish mother contrasting his Japanese father. He wears his school clothes even off-campus, usually with a hoodie or a blazer over them.
Personality:
Kai is a very quiet person, but he is still the generally outgoing type. He doesn't talk in excess, and he only says things when they need to be said. He can hold conversations with others without trouble, but he still prefers to be alone. He never really complains about things even if they don't got the way he wants them to. He's always in a deep-thinking pose, like he doesn't want to be approached.
Backstory: Kaiji was born into a family of musicians. His mother and his father played in a popular Jazz trio called "Serenity Calls". Much of his early life was spent touring with his parents around the world. Kai's parents taught him how to play the piano at the age of six, and he was very much a "little prodigy" in his youth. He entered all sorts of competitions, practiced for hours on end, and even started to play a little with his parents until he turned 13, when his mother was passed on at the aged of 36 due to heart failure. Kai lost his will to play piano and eventually he just let go of the instrument, since it reminded him so much of his mother. His father took him back to Japan, to his hometown of Hirameki. There, he studies in school and has begun a small DJ gig on the side.

Weapon: An antique rifle that's been in the Yamashita family for generations. Its history dates back to the Sengoku Era.


A 176 centimeter adolescent with a shock of colorless hair. Slightly underweight and unhealthily pale, with thin jawline and sunken eyes. Albino, with a host of medical problems to prove it.
Personality: A gentle and polite man. He's seen as overly formal, and thus has difficulty making close friends. Despite this, when it comes to fight for what he thinks is right, Sadao's the kind of person who will fight past his limits.
Backstory: Born and raised on the island of Tanegashima, Sadao was always a sickly child. His parents despaired for their little darling's poor immune system, and kept him away from the outside world until his weak defenses against the microscopic horrors of the world healed. Unfortunately, this had an adverse effect on his condition, and thus he was put on several medications simultaneously to prevent it from worsening any further. His house became a simple pill cabinet for the shut-in son of the Yamashita family.
In order to escape the ever present reminder that he'd never be able to enjoy things that other people took for granted, Sadao insisted that he transfer to the mainland for high school. He tested into Hirameki City's Satoru High, and joined(After much insistence on his part) at the beginning of his freshman year.
Sadao's still on a ever-present diet of medications, but has adjusted well to his new life. He's known as a kind and gentle upperclassman to his juniors, and a perfect gentleman to his elders.
Likes: Fresh air, kind people, autumn, insects and various other creepy-crawlies.
Dislikes: His myriad of illnesses, hospitals, the color red. He absolutely despises when health is taken for granted.

So how are the Shadow encounters going to work? I assume that they'll all be happening at roughly the same time, but other then that, how are we going to handle them. Is it going to be like in P4 (ie; "You're not me" cue boss fight)? And if so, how are we supposed to fight our Shadows?
