She's not shying away from social interaction, acting cheekily curious both with colleagues and test subjects. Adding insult to injury, she's somewhat quirky, provoking strong reactions from either, be they positive or negative. Sometimes falls back into crude language, and regularly speaks before thinking. She handles formalities and directives laxly, which usually gets her in trouble with authorities - but on the other hand makes it easier for her to befriend patients. This character trait of hers overlaps with most things she does, manifesting in a lack of discipline and universal lazyness. At this point of the dossier, personnel managers usually wonder why Catherine chose a carreer in genetics, a justified question. While there never was any official proof about the matter, one might suspect Cat finishing her PhD in genetics at the age of 22 didn't quite happen under fair circumstances... specifically regarding that Mr. and Mrs. Caldwell are renown, wealthy chemists with a certain reputation and 'influence'. She herself has established a bit of a reputation on her own as a luminary in the field of estimating experimental outcomes, albeit being difficult to work with, according to her latest employment reference. Fueled by her own interest, she learned basic programming in order to write a batch of simulation software that is almost as time-efficient as her own head and similarly difficult to operate, making them relatively useless without Catherine around, but nonetheless impressive as an example of what the little scatterbrain can achieve when she's genuinely interested in a project. Her playful nature has proven to be both aggravating for her superiors and beneficial for interaction with patients, another double-edged feature of hers.

Reason for agreeing to take part in project: She signed up for the project without much of a dedicated motivation. While it's more interesting than the jobs she did before, the main reason lies within her parents sending her there, both to force their offspring into a meaningful workplace and to get their family name associated with the potentially world-shaking results of it.

Random fact: Catherines natural hair color is a rusty brown. The now prevalent orange is the result of a compound she developed herself and tested herself - on herself.
