Well, that's why my nation is going to be a crowded, heavily fortified industrial machine that strip-mines like nuts.

First when you say industrial i say "what?" because those concepts simply don't exist yet, no engines or production lines as far as the GM's have told me.

However playing a bit of devils advocate.

Grevious that isn't that large of an issue, areas like China had dry coal that allowed large scale production as early as 1200, by the 1490's the Chinese production was indeed substantial. However these conditions usually require a distance from the ocean and large near surface deposits of coal since there is no tech to defeat groundwater yet.

Touching on that, given the long history of the planet metallurgy has to be rather new, since the rather short history in comparison of it in Europe lead to the silver crisis of 1465 where there was simply no more silver that could be taken from all the existing mines as pumping technology did not exist. Copper ran into the same issue, iron of course was more mined but several factors including the relative newness of iron working in the grand history made that a smaller issue. So we may be in huge shat.

Or we can just use fantasy magic! Your choice.

My faction is completely unable to use magic, aside from technomancy - which is an ability that can be activated by a compound named Luminite, although there is still only a very small success rate. The massive majority of equipment the nation has mechanical or powder-based. Even then, technomancy is extremely subdued. It boosts cognitive ability and makes people better with technology by a fair amount, but that's it. Nothing else. Nada. That is all the magic they have.

Edit: I would really like to be truly industrialized, but OP said renaissance and a bit of Da Vinci, so that is the tech I have.

Yeah have to say i am glad we cant have "industrial" tech since 300 years more advanced than everyone is insane and would make you the instant king of everything.

Well, to be fair, my nation has pissed of pretty much every god, and their magic is almost nonexistent, but I see your point.

Alright, the IC has begun and I have posted to intro. Two days late and the intro was cut up to make multiple posts over a time skip, however done nonetheless.

Now that I have officially begun the IC, I expect accepted players to begin posting in the IC, and achieve at least 5-10 IC posts by the end of next week.

@ALL THOSE WHO HAVE NOT YET BEEN ACCEPTED: I will need a status update on your sheets so you can be accepted for the IC. If you are missing your GM traits, please announce this and I will do so. if you are having issues with history, lore or rules, ask me. I will also be sending out PM's to remind people.
