Personality: … At first glance, an emotional analysis comes to an obvious conclusion. A girl with such a serious look who has clearly lost her legs and entire family, and is employed by SEED (soon, anyway). Clearly, this girl is an ultra-serious vengeance-hungry bitch who will not make friends and simply do her utmost to fight the great threat which endangers the planet.

… Pffft. Noooooooooooooope. Shizukana Kazeko… is lazy. Rude, greedy, nerdy, lazy and hungry. At any point, you might find her sleeping in the most uncomfortable positions in the most unlikely of places. Did you not eat your food fast enough? Don’t worry, she didn’t take it, she’s currently looting your fridge instead. Kazeko has no respect whatsoever for personal space and will ask the most insensitive of questions at impossibly wrong times and will multiple times a day request trivial or impossible things just because. Also, talk to her even once, you’re now her friend who she might approach for no reason whatsoever and bother with such requests or anything else for that matter. Kazeko takes no lesson to heart, never thinks of the future and only occasionally on the past (like she WILL learn if she got injured last time she did something…) and will only do something for someone else if she wants to. … And ice cream is a pretty good method to get her instantly to your side, if you figure out she likes ice-cream. … Or cats. Kazeko is way too sensitive to cute cats, real, plushies or otherwise. … And she’s also impossibly allergic to them, but that’s another matter altogether.

Brief Backstory: Kazeko was born to a moderately rich family on the countryside and enjoyed a good early life. She had all kinds of dreams that came and went as soon as the last one had its turn. She wanted to be everything from a running athlete, an idol singer, a police woman, an actor, a protector of the universe… all such things. Except, well… it turned out to be a little impossible. See, the entire country-side which she inhabited was wiped clean from the surface of the Earth ten years ago. Kazeko was the only survivor, somehow her cellar had been spared after her parents had been shoved down, and she was luckily enough rescued soon enough by a rescue team. … Her legs had been rendered unusable, crushed under rocks of her crumbling home, and every person she had ever known was gone. But… she had lived.

Whatever analysis you may make of this, it was after that which Kazeko developed the personality you can read above. For a while, she lived in a wheel-chair at an orphanage, where other people were often ignoring her due to her expression. Such a blank expression, there was no doubt she would be simply depressing to speak to. … … … “I wanna see the Eifel Tower. Oh, and Disneyland. The one in Florida.” … Take it as you wish, but after that Kazeko acted like that constantly, with quite a few friends. Though, she never studied. Upon told to study, even if she was crippled, Kazeko would always answer something along the lines of “No, I don’t want to study. There’s another fate that is waiting for me in the future.” … People doubted her then, but take a look at her now. One could almost wonder if she could see the future.



Since then, the story about Kazeko was that she was officially employed by the orphanage to help take care of children. She really didn’t do very much, but the children were entertained by her when she got older (them playing with her), so why not? She also collected a fair amount of nerdy things, like manga, anime, video games, etc. Her hands were totally OK, so why not, really? That’s pretty much what’s been going on these last ten years. And now… she’ll be given a pair of new legs pretty soon.

Abilities: Kazeko can walk absurdly silently. This may come off as really weird, considering her legs are metal, but by some reason these make almost no sound when she walks around, meaning it can sometimes appear as if Kazeko appeared from nowhere. She also has a strange lack of presence at times, meaning she can disappear when you’re not looking at her. … She can also consume way more food than a normal person, and she’ll do so happily, too.

Other than that, it should be mentioned her LACK of abilities in here. She lacks all form of basic education you receive after the age of 7, anything she might have learned is completely coincidental due news, fiction, things other people have told her and otherwise. She cannot operate most basic machinery, most of the world’s history is completely foreign to her and anything which involves studying to do is beyond her.

… But for some reason, she is a natural pilot. For some reason.

Powers: Cyan Dove. That is what they call her machine, engineered into her legs and around her waist. Let us imagine engines with output in the back of those things. It was produced using state-of-the-art technology and it is powered by a blue liquid just called “cyan” for now. It flows through Kazeko and empowers her. Her craft prioritizes speed, she’s really fast. She can gradually increase her speed to levels higher than she can maneuver sensibly, the liquid helping keep her body together at such force. However, a single hit from an enemy might destroy her. To avoid this, the item on top of her head, also powered by cyan, allows Kazeko to sense if she’s being targeted by incoming projectiles and move out of the way. It can be tricked by slow-moving dangers and attacks custom-made not to disturb the air on the way, though, and even if she learns a shot is coming it will still be with her own reflexes to dodge it. Reacting using this is slower than seeing the attack with her eyes, it is like a sudden signal of danger, which if the projectile is fast enough will be too late when she gets the warning.

It should be noted that Kazeko was chosen for this craft because of her lack of legs. Because that, when maneuvering at such speed, the blood will not surge down into the bottom of her feet. Not as much, anyway. (Source: Death Battle episode 30, Fox VS Bucky, 2:48-3:10. Not sure if same logic is applicable here, but HA!)

The liquid has a slight healing effect if applied on wounds. It doesn’t suddenly grant regeneration, but it will close the wound and somehow melt as energy into the body to speed up natural healing. Kazeko can use this if someone is injured in the midst of battle. … Though, it should be noted. Everything she does depends on cyan, and she can only depart into battle with a finite amount. Each action only uses so much, but in longer battles endurance might become key. In such cases, it would be a good idea to carry replacements, just in case, but each slows her down which might be dangerous since she cannot allow herself to be hit even once. Also, the containers are very exposed on her back and can be destroyed. There are emergency supplies in her legs for use to only bring her back home safely if the worst should happen.

… That tail-like thing hanging behind her in the image… … … Let’s say it is usually attached to her back, and is a part of her engine. It can move around a bit in order to control the direction Kazeko is accelerating. In the image, she’s just lazy and not even used the amount of energy needed to pull it back. Really, I was done, looked at the image, and went “I haven’t mentioned that thing…”. She can also apply the liquid from there, as well. … Which should mean that if it is busted her maneuvering will be a lot more normal. Oh, and if any of her cables are busted, there is probably high-tech stuff in place to block the cut cable so she doesn’t lose juice. She just loses the capability to use whatever the cable was bound to.

Weapons: Two weapons. A gun, the Cyan SMG. Made for taking out more mobile enemies on a distance. It is fully automated, and fires special rounds of rather powerful projected blasts of the cyan’s energy. The shots are simply the liquid, so there is no need to reload as long as the cable is attached. As they are in the shape they are, the shots fired may not do much damage against larger opponents, but will do plenty against smaller and faster opponents, which would be those that pose more of a threat to Kazeko and other Magitech girls, allowing her to make use of her speed to support allies that may be in trouble.

The second weapon is her Dove’s Claw, the perfect weapon to match her speed. It is a large but light blade which carries her improved strength and charges with energy from the cyan. The edge is formed from the energy within, making a sharp and really hot edge, and with the speed which Kazeko can gain as she surges through the air it becomes a really, really dangerous weapon. However, as a close-combat weapon, it requires Kazeko to soar in close and personal, which might expose her vulnerable self to possible damage which may be desired to be avoided, seeing how she’s probably better used as a supporting unit with her speed, SMG and healing side-effect, but should the blade be desired to be used it would be best to do so while someone else is distracting the target, for Kazeko will have trouble dodging at the speed she reaches when flying in to slice.

If the concept of cyan is rejected, inform me. ... Inform me if anything else is rejected as well. Haha.

I also considered that perhaps the use of these system might have negative consequences on her body in the long run, but eh, "this RP is not intended to be dark and can be light-hearted and humorous at times even". I'll leave that to the GM.

Personality: In short, Kido acts as if she rules the world. She considers herself the highest form of aristocracy, and she won’t let anyone forget it. This comes with a temper, which is easy to set off. Due to her short fuse, Kido is known to defend her ‘queenship’ in a heart beat, as well as those she considers her subjects.

Brief Backstory: Kido was born to a single mother in a rough neighborhood. Gangs were around every corner, violence widespread. As she was growing up, several of the neighborhood kids banded together, as a defense mechanism- Kido quickly ascended to the leadership role by sheer willpower. This played a major role in her life with the aftermath of the Nephilim attack. Her leadership role allowed her to try and protect the neighborhood. Entering high school, Kido had essentially claimed most of the city’s youth under her own rule.

Abilities: A skilled fighter, due to the rough neighborhood she grew up.

Powers: Due to her high sense of self, Kido has a high compatibility with her MagiGear. Apart from the standard abilities that the Gear allows, Kido’s unique ability is based on her anger- as she gets angrier, the red accents of the Gear glow stronger, and the stronger the Gear becomes. In addition, due to Kido's close combat style, some of the Gear is fitted to work as armor in some vital locations, i.e. legs, spine, and arms. This comes in the form into seemingly metallic armor pieces.

Weapon(s): Attached to her left wrist is a sword, which is charged by magical energy around the edges of the blade. The blade itself can separate and turn into a bladed chain. Fused into the palm of her other hand is an energy blaster, which shoots short bursts of energy. Her last weapon is an outlet embedded in the chest region, which releases the stored energy Kido collects from rage in a red beam.

Throughout history, the archetype of a hero is one of the most enduring and prominent. The upholder of justice, the defender of the weak. Shining examples of all the positive and joyful things of humanity. But throughout history, if you look at elite military forces, so many associate themselves with the skull, death, mystery, and shadows. The skull may well be the most repeated graffiti on military paraphernalia throughout history. So while most MagiGears may visually associate themselves with the archetype of hero, of the Goddesses of Victory, avatars of the bright future of humanity…



There is one who isn’t. Sometimes, one draws on the strength of one’s closeness to death and darkness rather than one’s the joys of life and light. On the battlefield, Chimere Rapthela feels one seems so much closer at hand than the other. The ugly skull masked anonymity of death is sometimes as charismatic as a beautiful goddess’ face.

Magitech Girls:
Name: Chimere Raphela (Wondering about the ethnicity of that name? You should be.)
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Appearance: Chimere has the build of a lean, scavenging hunter, and her body language speaks of that as well. Her skin tone is a mulatto tone, and the fact that she self-identifies with that term tells you she’s not from America where such a term is an insult. Her dark hair is military cut and her eyes are a withdrawn brown. She has scarring on her neck and lower left cheek that looks fairly like something tried to maul her face off.
Personality: Chimere is civil, but withdrawn. She’ll behave herself, but you can tell at a glance she doesn't respect or trust anyone. Her civility is that of someone who feels if they make the first aggressive move, they will be pounced on by everyone else. A social dynamic built in environments where the weak band together to kill the strong. Of course, this is not that environment, and she’s currently very very confused about why everyone here is so happy and not waiting to kill her if she shows too much weakness or strength. The fact that she can just ask for water and she gets it and it’s no big deal is simply mindblowing to her. Likely going to be some culture shock moments approaching. School will likely be a harrowing new experience for her, more terrorizing than the battlefield. :P

One of her personality elements that is rather normal is how shy she feels about her appearance in comparison to all the other beautiful girls and their revealing MagiGears. One of the primary reasons her MagiGear is so concealing is that being concealed props up her self-consciousness about her scar and doubts about her appearance. That and that it makes her feel like a badass samurai reaper straight from hell, RWAR!
Brief Backstory: Brought into the program from a refugee camp in South Africa, fleeing from northern conflicts, Chimere’s past is likely a tragedy that will forever be off the history books, given how likely Chimere is to talk about it. It's likely where her personal abilities developed and how she stayed alive.

Of another note is that her Backstory involves almost no schooling, so she will certainly be very lost and need help from one of the smarter Magitech girls to manage.
Abilities: Chimere is keenly perceptive on a small, close scale. If you’ve lost a needle in a haystack (and don’t have a magnet handy), Chimere’s one to call. She’s also quiet, very quiet. You won’t hear her coming.
Powers: Chimere’s suit can fly, but it’s not very good at it. Chimere’s unstable output leads to unstable flight. Thus, after the first testing, the suit was augmented along the legs to provide her with better ground performance. This covered up a fair extra portion of her body and it was noticed her performance increased on all parameters. Subsequent testing revealed that the more Chimere’s suit covered her body and the darker it got, the more comfortable and self-confident Chimere felt in it. Eventually, her true power was discovered in a fully form concealing MagiGear with advanced cloaking properties. Nothing calms Chimere’s output like silently, invisible waiting for the right moment to strike. Incidentally, this also means her suit is fully sealed. Poison gas just doesn't get to her. Her other notable ability of non-normal level is in weapons.
Weapon(s): After the first combat it was realized that Chimere’s emotions peak and fluctuate wildly when she strikes with the intent to kill. This emotional feedback bled into her weapons, and caused damage them leading them to break after a few uses. This lead to two options being deemed viable, either giving her a stupidly oversized weapon reinforced to withstand her striking power, or equipping her with so many weapons that she can use them, even as they break one after another, without too much worry. Chimere was adamant she’d prefer the second, so she is equipped with six katanas, four combat knives, and six handguns.

*This bio includes many notes about things that happen during the roleplay, presuming Chimere survives the first fight. Her MagiGear, for example, will likely far more closely resemble a normal one during its first outing, as this roleplay starts before they have a chance to tune it precisely to Chimere. Unless they are able to predict these sort of things before she ever steps in one, in which case I'll change it to "that's how it's always been".

Gender: Female
Appearance: Her red eyes are due to a genetic disorder, and she cannot see very well without contacts/glasses.


Personality: Shay is painfully shy and terribly awkward, but she is very kind and loving to those who do happen to become close to her. She is generally sarcastic, and may accidentally come off on as mean when she meant to be joking. She is perpetually tired, caused by her insomnia, and can be very spacey and easily frightened if surprised. She is always a little bit on edge, though has been known to loaf around on vacation days. She enjoys sweets, cute animals, and horror mangas.

Brief Backstory: Shaylee lived with her single father after her mother was killed by the Nephilim. She did particularly well in her academics, though she has trouble with sports and making friends. After being offered the position as a MagiTech Girl, she was on the fence until her father persuaded her to join, reminding her that with this power she could protect others.

Abilities: Shaylee is intelligent, often using out-of-the-box methods to fight. She's not very strong, but is good at long range fighting.

Powers: Shaylee's powers revolve around specific magnetism and metal. Her dagger-like weapons aren't actually connected to her suit, they simply float behind her when in use or snap into the armor when not needed. She is only able to tune into one kind of metal at once, however, which is usually her armor and daggers.
Weapon(s): Shaylee's weapon of choice is a set of six large dagger-like blades. She is able to wield these at short range as hand weapons, or long range as throwing knives. She can also bring them together to form a small shield. She is also able to embed the daggers into opponents and then manipulate them to drag them towards or away from her using magnetic force.

@The 42nd Gecko: I'm sorry, but I honestly don't think your character would fit at all. The lack of flight would make her inneffective against the Nephilim, and while I hardly mind a MagiGear that covers most of their body(really, it's just hard to find pictures for that), they still have to have the "mecha musume" feel. On top of that, none of her weapons have the trait(magitech) needed to hurt a Nephilim.

@Titianna: Your magigear picture isn't working. ^^;

Name: Mori Haruka
Age: 38
Gender: Male

Appearance:

Personality: Years ago, Mori had always been light-hearted around virtually anything- work, friends, family, even his personal research. He always wanted to share his knowledge with others, thus leading to his original occupation as a professor. Mori was friendly toward most people, enjoying playing jokes on them occasionally-especially his pupils. The researcher was a gratuitous man, as well, always wanting to do what was best for his family, pupils, and even complete strangers. However, after the first Nephilim attack, he sobered up. Now, he is cold, distant even. He doesn’t seem to enjoy his research anymore, nor does he have that charm of spreading his knowledge. Mori has almost become a drone; a shell of his former self.

Brief Backstory: Raised in the city, Mori was always a smart person, even in his youth. A stellar student, Mori passed through all tiers of schooling with ease, obtaining his Doctorate’s Degree at 25. During his undergraduate schooling, he met his future wife, Aya. The two dated, married, and had a child- a daughter named Seo.

Mori worked for the University of Tokyo when the Nephilim hit Japan. However, by some stroke of luck, he wasn’t on-campus when hell rained down. The disaster would have killed him with no chance of survival. However, the alternative was still disastrous. The family was heading out of town when the Nephilim struck. The shockwaves from the city shook the landscape, causing a rockslide under the road Mori was driving on, taking the car- and the family, with it. The professor awoke surrounded by sirens. He saw two stretchers being rolled by, their occupants concealed by covers. The man broke down.

Soon after the death of his family, SEED approached Mori, promising him a chance to take on the force that caused his incident. He swore his allegiance to the organization, and quickly rose to near the top of the chain of command. He specifically worked on the unification of magic and technology, and was a key component of creating the suits themselves. The technical aspect of it was his forte; head-reducing, flight, power levels, the works.

He now works as a Head of Research, specifically for improving the suit’s usage.

Abilities: Mori is smart- plain and simple. He was a key team member in engineering the MagiGear suits, as well as the use of technology and magic together. He nearly rivals Kawaguchi, but has fallen out of the race due to his time of grievance.

Occupation: Previously worked as an Applied Sciences professor at the University of Tokyo, now works as a Head of Research at SEED, only a few steps down from Kawaguchi herself.
