You know, that last comment got me thinking: how does the whole "animal superpower" thing go down? Are we all supposed to look like Zain, or did he just take to the treatment in a more extrema way? Is it a complete transformation into an animal or a hybrid form, and can the transformation be turned on and off?

Well the last time Miss Winter had this RP going it was a complete transformation into an animal form that could be controlled after some practice, kind of like a new muscle you are trying to flex and work out for the first time. Also like you said Zain is like this because he is reacting differently to the mutation, it has to be with the way he mentally perceives himself.

Bio: Gwen had lived a life of luxury living under his uncles thumb, his uncle had worked himself to the point of crippling his body as a farmer, waking up before the sun to tend to the crops Gwen had helped him as a young boy, sweating beside his uncle to till the land for harvest, to plow the fields and move the cattle, it had been hard work, but when his uncle could do it no longer he retired, sold the farm, all four hundred head of cattle, the two story house he has built, all in all they had enough money to live comfortably for years. Gwen had lived with just his uncle his whole life, his father ditching him when his mother died and rode off into the sunset (in porche) when he was only a year old, his aunt had died at a young age from cancer and it was just him and his uncle. They had bought a house in the big city and his uncle raised him to be loyal and noble, sent him to school and taught him manners and how to be a man. When Gwen graduated he had stayed home to see to his uncles care since he was crippled from the waist down. They had nice things, expwnsive things, so it was no wonder when a pair of theives stole into his house one night and raided the place, his uncle had heard the commotion and went to investigate, Gwen had been off running errands when he came home to front door wide open, dropping the groceries and running inside he stumbled upon the two burglars who were grabbing the last of his Aunts jewelry, Gwen picked up the shotgun that was laying against the table and shot them both quickly never alerting their attention.
Upon finding his uncle dead in the kitchen slumped on the floor at the front of his wheelchair he came undone, breaking down he began to cry holding his Uncle in his arms. The cops came several hours later to find the three dead bodies all with shotgun wounds and Gwen crumpled on the floor, they attempted to ask him questions and he refused to answer, never looking away from his only parent, one of the cops got rough demanding he speak to them and tell them why he had killed everyone and Gwenhuvar lost it, shooting to his feet he grabbed the cop and pushed him backwards through the two story window screaming words incapable of comprehension. They booked him on murder and left it at that, he was sent to jail. The warden had read his file and felt bad for the young man, he kept tabs on him and watched him as he moved like a shadow his first few days, never speaking to anyone. The Warden got him into the testing program hoping to get him out of the jail where he didn't belong.

Saarebas is right (of course he has done this RP before) Most of the teen will transform into their full animal form eventually. In the mean time you can struggle with the ability any way you want to. I have no problem with someone being trapped in hybrid form.

If you want that for your character I'm fine with it. But they have to be able to maintain some humanity.

Well yeah they should still resemble a human. But I don't wanna just have People with Cat ears and Tails and thats it, It would be very Unrealistic

I'd like it if my character didn't have to half his form, more just boom he's a lion, booms he's human again, like muscle reflex, not half way done. He can't control it yet so it's at random. If that is acceptable

Right, see, I wasn't sure if I was supposed to be growing shell and multiple arms but keeping general human shape or if I was supposed to turn into a full on man sized mantis shrimp and then stay that way forever. Am I a Franz Kafka nightmare, or am I more like Kamen Rider?

Because if he's a shrimp full time it's going to be like that lion costume they use to celebrate Chinese new year is tromping through the halls.

Its really up to you how the mutation effects your character. He could be a human size shrimp or a regular sized. He can transform all at once or gain a piece at a time. The only rule I have is they can't have full control of their transformation at first

Allan lived in a small town in the state of Oregon, mostly surrounded by forest. His parents were very religious and took him to church every Sunday, which Allan didn't care much for. Crime was not a common occurrence here so what happened was a huge shock. Allan was arrested for the murder of three teens at his school. When asked why he simply responded 'I didn't think I would get caught.' His parents still tried to help him through court but the amount of evidence, including surveillance footage, was too much for him to make a solid case. Eventually word about the gruesome murder spread around the country which got him recruited for the program.
