Powers: Able to sense, absorb, induce and influence people's emotions.
Bio: Devika was, oddly enough, an orphan foundling. Not of the 'picnic basket on the doorstep' variety, but close enough. Her parents found her in a park in the middle of summer. The baby wearing nothing but a diaper and a gold bracelet engraved with her name. Reginald and Anne Jones searched for the baby's parents everywhere, in every database the two laywers had access to, but there was no trace of them. By the time they figured out that her parents were long gone, they were already quite in love with the infant. They had never been able to have a child of their own, and so, feeling fate was giving them a gift, they adopted Devika.

Devika's power was discovered when she was very young. She seemed to be a normal kindergardener, though she was rather on the high-strung side. That all changed one day on the playground. A little boy fell off the monkey bars and broke his wrist. While the child was getting medical attention, the paramedics noticed little Devika, crying her eyes out, holding her swollen right wrist. They checked her as well, but discovered absolutely no injury on her. Once this was reported to her parents, they started to put the pieces together. They started to teach Devika meditation, and how to keep her emotions in check.

16 years later, as an adult, Devika began to get very unhappy. Her powers were under control, but she felt like she was missing a large part of herself. She wanted to know who she was- and what she was really capable of. She was tired of living only part of her life, and so, with her parents help, she enrolled in the Academy. It took her several months to unenroll from her university, which is why she showed up in the middle of the semester.

Powers: Powers: Kijani has the ability to manipulate paper, and control it’s density. She can turn an index card into a razor sharp blade, a book into a brick, and newspaper into armor. She can remember anything she’s read and recall it with accuracy. She also has a lot of grace on the battlefield, her primary talent being evasion and misdirection. Her fighting style is a blend of Tai Chi and Capoeria- moving with the flow of the fight, never stopping. Kijani’s self-invented style flows from move to move, never breaking stride even when she falls or is hit, it simply becomes another move in the dance.
Bio: Kijani was born to two wealthy, brilliant people who happened to dislike each other. Her conception was essentially an accident, and her parents married out of propriety rather than love. She grew up cared for by a nanny while her parents worked and ignored her. When she was eleven, she was kidnapped off the streets and held for ransom for a week. Her parents paid, she was released, but she was scarred, both physically and psychologically. From that day on she was never quite the same. She promised herself she’d never let that happen to her again, no matter what it took. Her nanny was fired, and Kijani pretty much raised herself from the age of eleven while her parents worked. She became an emancipated minor at the age of fourteen, took her inheritance from her parents, and used it to start living life on her own terms.

Parents: Nightcrawler and an unknown human who passed during childbirth

Powers: Ability to disappear within any shadow, hide his scent, and remain unseen until he makes a detectable noise. Kaiden has many of his father's powers including his agility, strength and teleporting, though he can not teleport as far as his dad. When he stares in to people's eyes he has the opportunity to lure someone to trust him.

Bio: Kaiden grew up with his dad in the local church, residing usually more often up in the rafters. Unlike his father, Kaiden is quiet and is not a jokester but rather reclusive, always listening and perceiving his surroundings with calculated thought. He did not show any signs of his powers until his 15th birthday. Up until then his dad was relieved with the false understanding that he would not have any powers to train or deal with in their development. Kaiden is an emotional child and always had been. While most of the time he would remain quiet and calm he had bouts of outrageous emotional bursts whether in rage or agony that scared his father and left him tip toeing around him. The first sign of his power came when he disappeared during dinner and returned a day later. All his other abilities are being learned and discovered still.

Appearance: Kaiden has his mother's tan olive skin and her cobalt blue eyes, while he holds his father's thick and messy ink black hair. He has a lithe yet muscular frame that upholds his strength and agility given by his father. He wears mostly dark jeans, fitted t-shirt and a dark gray hooded jacket, keeping the hood on his head most of the time. Unlike his father and very much like his mother, he does not have a tale but his ears are slightly pointed. His hoodie is his comfort, shielding his visable difference and allowing him to remain most unseen and forgettable in group surroundings. Kaiden did not care for much attention, ironic since his complexion and calm demeanor attracts people fairly easily.

Abilities She is most certainly her father’s daughter and as such has his intelligence and silver tongue, having a particular skill at choosing just the right words and playing whoever it may be she is talking to. And the occasional lie helps, of course.
Bio With the God of Mischief as your father a normal upbringing is more or less out of the question. Rarely staying in one place, Kat is constantly moving around and between realms, sometimes with her father, sometimes not. She doesn't play the victim; you won’t hear her berating her father or the injustices against her. But don’t for one second mistake her as a sympathetic shoulder to cry on. She’s blunt, has a macabre sense of humour, amorous, headstrong and cruel at times. Kat despises the obsession with lineage and alignment and she will always act in a way that benefits her most. However if you’re not easily offended or upset you can probably get along with her, even if just for a short time.
Appearance Kat stands at 6'1" with a slim, lithe build. She shares her fathers distinctive look with her pale skin, long raven hair, and green eyes. Her fashion taste is severe and bold but still feminine, with leather making a regular appearance. Black is a constant yet there is always a splash of colour in the form of rich purples, blues and greens.

Powers: Weather Manipulation is not very strong, though she can do some storm-like things when she has bursts of emotions. Retractable Claws are made from the same material as her fathers. Also known as vibranium, Enhanced Senses, she has enhanced agility and speed sometimes strength. Magical abilities, which have not been discovered in full. Flight, she has woken up now and then floating but does her best to hide that skill. She also has her dads intelligence. She was trained by both her mom and dad to fight.

Bio: Nacelle was raised in Wakanda for most of her life, her father made the people treat her as the princess she was so as a kid she was pampered and well taken care of. At the age of thirteen Nacelle started to have her powers kick in, her claws and the somewhat strange white hair came in first. Her father had then started to avoid her and eventually sent her off to her mother, when Nacelle came to America she had no understanding of English. Her mother had almost talked to her father about it but decided to just teach her instead. During her tutoring more powers came in, her enhanced senses and magic were next to come. Nacelle's mother was very excited and though she resisted her mother taught her some of the ways of spiritual magic and nature magic as well. After her training all of her powers grew in and she decided to keep them a secret from her mother and father. At the age of fifteen Nacelle had been training herself and moving back and forth through Africa and America having her father and mother teach her in fighting. Soon enough her parents felt that she was ready to move to the Academy, on her sixteenth birthday her mother and father got together, packing her things and sending her off.

Powers: superhuman: strength, speed, stamina, senses and durability. He is slightly stronger then his father, being only 1/4 human while his father was 1/2 human. Delayed aging
Appearance: Austin is rather large, around 5 foot 9 and still growing. He is lean, not muscular but just lean. He has bright green eyes that seem to glow in the dark. His hair is orange with a few black markings, keeping the cut low enough so it is even with the fur. His entire body his covered with orange fur with black stripes, much like a tiger. He has a slightly pronounced jaw, his mouth protruding slightly out of his face. His canines are more fang like. His hands and feet are rather stocky, dangerous claws on each finger that he can retract mostly. His palms and bottom of his feet are more like pads then actual skin. He has a long tail as well, which he is very protective over. He prefers to wear simple shorts rather then full clothes but will wear a tank top when required.

A month later, her power manifested. Phoebe was a bright young child, curious of mind and kind at heart. She left the orphanage when she was 18, to follow her dreams and do good things in the world? History; Kalinda, being small and almost shy, feels the need to be defensive, aloof and tries not to get emotionally close to anyone. However she had begged her mother for six months to come to the academy, and finally has been allowed to go. She doesn't know much about what she is capable off, but thinks her powers are more a joke then anything. She has only recently developed them.

Name: Esuterura Kuinu (Earth name: Estella)

Parents: Ransetura and Arnensa Kuinu (both deceased)

Powers: Esuterura can control the elements of nature (though as Earth's environment is different she does not have the same capability she normally would). Due to her race communicating strictly through the mind she possesses a natural aptitude for telepathy. In turn her people's evolution has granted her a great deal of resistance to mental intrusion.

Bio: Esuterura (her name is derived from her home planet) was the princess of a planet named Suteruraru. It was a very lush planet and its people were very close to nature. As far as their history goes the people have possessed telepathy, very early on making speaking unnecessary and forgotten. Over time they evolved the ability to manipulate the elements around them. Typically an individual could only manipulate one and it was a marvel to be able to control two. But over many very careful selection of marriages, a select few families managed to gain all five. These families, through fear or respect became the ruling class, seen as royalty. Though tension existed between them, there remained an uneasy peace for many years. Technology advanced while small conflicts tested the limits of diplomacy. The Kuinu line rose to be the strongest ruling power.

Eventually the lines of communication were shattered by the sounds of war. At first it didn't look like much would come of the smaller families pushing back. When alliances began to firm the threat became a real. The Kuinu family were loosing ground at an ever accelerating rate. Things were not yet beyond the point of no return. However, not wanting to put his daughter in danger the king ordered the remainder of the Kuinu family to be evacuated. Most of their resources committed to the war a small fleet of cruisers took to the stars with the enemy in pursuit. The fleet attacked and destroyed, only a few stasis pods escaped with the sole instruction to land on the first habitable planet it detected.

Upon arriving on Earth, Estella (as she had become known) found herself surrounded by a strange people that were not accustomed, or adept, at communicating telepathically. Moreover those she was with were not ordinary in their own right. Out of place but not without encouragement she began to learn about the world and the strange concept of speech. Over time she began to fit in and make friends. But her toughest trial would not come from her new home. Hidden away on the ship she arrived in was one of the very weapons that helped destroy her world. Transformed into a soldier for a long extinct war Estella fought against her new destructive instincts. Seeing that she was loosing control she set off in her repaired ship to find a cure for her condition. Attaining that goal did not come without consequences.

Name: Kagerou Rotusu

Powers: All of Kagerou's abilities revolve around one thing, life steal. The living energy of everything around her is her soul source of sustenance. The more she steals the stronger her other abilities become. Those abilities are super strength, telekinesis, regeneration, and immortality. Should she run out of life force she would turn to dust. She takes small amounts from many sources around her so most never notice the difference. Not really a power but the many years has allowed her to master many skills.

Bio: Born millennia ago much of her early years are lost even to Kagerou. The earliest memories are of being a slave to a wealthy land owner. Things may have gone well for the young girl had she not been falsely accused of a crime. In those days the punishment was often death, as was the case here. Before being summarily executed Kagerou was offered a new life by a being of the underworld. Naive and fearful she quickly accepted. This didn't prevent her death however.

Reviving in the wilderness where she was left to rot, Kagerou now found herself the slave of a new master. Having no choice but to obey the wishes of a demon she used her newly acquired powers to wreak havoc and death to those who did not submit to her master. As time passed it became more and more apparent that she no longer aged, a part of the curse to prevent her from ever being free. Hundreds of years passed, giving rise to legends of a bringer of death. But just like in the mortal world the underworld contained warring factions. Unbeknownst to Kagerou, her master was losing a battle that ultimately lead to his end.

After not hearing anything from the master she had served for so long there was an extended spell where Kagerou disappeared from history. Having become so accustomed to receiving orders she was lost without them. Eventually though she realized that she had been freed and could make her own decisions. By then the whole world had moved on and she knew nothing of the cultural and technological changes. This was still well before the years of AD. Striking out on her own Kagerou sought to learn as much as she could about the world and travelled it over many times. Constantly having time to spare she tried and practiced anything she encountered.

In the modern era she has become a freelancer. Of what just depended on how she felt. Good, bad, neutral, it made no difference. She's done jobs for SHIELD, The Hive, AIM, and even the Academy from time to time. Being as her interests are fickle it has been a generation since she has served as a instructor at the school. But it may just be time to take up the torch again.
