Interesting, I was aware that the Joining could be reversed but I wasn't aware that it weakens over time. Regardless, New-Child was never intended to be away from the nest forever so lets just assume that she's to return before the Joining is undone.

Personality:Jorraan is, at his core, a political animal. Despite the harsh training he has received through his life, the 'softness' of training he received in his youth never truly left him. He prefers words to combat, but is not opposed to fighting it out. He possesses a strong ambitious streak and a steel will. That said, he is quite stubborn. His close relationship with his mother during his youth have made him naturally trusting towards middle aged or older women, even if it is dangerous to do so.

Back Story:
Born the second son to a minor Sith House twenty-four years ago upon Dromund Kaas, Jorraan's early life was filled with a heady education, martial training, and the philosophy of the dark side. While his older brother, Dormante, received the large share of their Father's attention, Jorraan became his mother's favorite. House Elveticus, a House that had fallen in ill repute since a scandal a few generations back, had maneuvered it's way to potentially regaining the Dark Council's favor. This was in large part due to Lady Elorana Elveticus's apt political maneuvering. Jorraan observed all this with a keen eye from his mother's nurse strings. Unfortunately fate did not see fit to grant House Elveticus a reemergence. When Jorraan was but twelve years of age, his mother perished to a wasting illness. Hordet Elveticus, a burly man more at home on the battlefield than politics, squandered the opportunity for restoration and doomed his House to obscurity.

At this time, Dormant would leave for the Sith Academy hidden upon the ancient planet to begin his training leaving Hordet and Jorraan to the empty estate. Hordet would turn his attention to the younger man and impart his martial knowledge to the boy. A slim frame prevented Jorraan from studying the more aggressive styles and so he found himself a student of the dexterous and agile Ataru form. Though much of his time was consumed with his martial training, the boy never forgot his mother's aspirations.

At the age of eighteen, Jorraan was also sent to the Academy. A few short weeks later, his brother died to an extremely painful poison fed to him by an enemy Acolyte. Jorraan had ascended to become heir of House Elveticus. Two years passed among the dreadful halls. It was here that Jorraan truly became Sith, mastering the philosophies of the Sith Code. At the age of twenty, he was chosen as an apprentice to a powerful Darth by the name of Siree. Siree, imparted a great deal of knowledge to the young man teaching him both the martial and sorcerous arts. Sith Magic became as child's play to the young man, and he began the journey of studying the Makashi style. Jorraan soon rose to the rank of Lord in his twenty-third year. Nonetheless, it is the way of the Sith to covet power.

Foolishly unaware of the greater games being played, Jorraan murdered his Master by botching a ritual of great interest to the Sith Emperor. This choice would cause his exile from the hidden Sith Empire. By order of the Dark Council, Jorraan was placed among the armies of Darth Revan to assist in their assault upon the Republic. With Revan's death, however, Jorraan could not stomach being under the command of the fallen Jedi Malak. The man deserted from the ranks of the Sith and now finds himself torn over his place in the Galaxy.

Alright, well, I'm going to stop you at Dromuund Kaas. KOTOR had nothing to do with it. The Sith Fleet? Made by the Star Forge and the forces who remained with Revan after the Mandalorian Wars. While intriguing, it wasn't an involved part of the Jedi Civil War, mainly because the attack on the Republic was Revan's idea, not the Emporer's. I'll think on it though.

I would be having Jorraan placed amongst Revan's fleet secretly. Also, it is canon that the Emperor was initially behind Revan's attack. According to Wookiepedia:
"When Revan and Malak arrived at the Emperor's throne room, the Sith ruler was ready for them—instead of fighting them, the Emperor reached out and dominated their minds, twisting the pair into willing servants and completing their fall to the dark side before he scoured their minds for useful information. Anointing his new servants as Darth Revan and Darth Malak, the Dark Lords of the Sith, the Emperor sent them back to the Republic as a vanguard to his own invasion, ordering them to make use of the Rakatan Star Forge and to report back when they had crushed the Republic's resistance. Publicly, the Emperor announced that Revan and Malak had been Republic spies, showing images of the pair to his people and proclaiming that they had been executed in the depths of the Citadel."

Though Revan and Malak eventually broke free of the mental slavery, it was still twisting their minds.
