King Bythos the Third ruled over the Kingdom of Haldor with great might. Under Bythos, sometimes called the Gold King, Haldor expanded its borders from the eastern shores of the land to the great misty mountains hanging over the prairies that now reside on the western edge of the kingdom. Bythos struck gold in the mountains, and Haldor's wealth nearly tripled and brought much prosperity to the lands of Haldor as trade blossomed with neighboring regions. But when Bythos died, the kingdom was thrown into chaos as his son, barely 17, inherited the throne and the legacy of Bythos's family line. Now Haldor copes with the weight of a transfer of power. Opposing factions in the capital of Aster seek the death of Bythos's son, Prince Wolfram. Insecurities remain among people who see Wolfram as unfit for the position of ruler. Pressure from neighboring nations threatens war on Haldor and want to capitalize on the instability in Haldor to take Haldor for themselves and end the reign of the monarchy in Haldor. Wolfram himself bears a secret, and the night before the Coronation, the Golden Promenade, he plans to spill the secret to one person.
The idea is that people are coming to the Golden Promenade to see the Prince: diplomats, civilians, the rich, the poor, the powerful, other princes and princesses. All of them hope to have their demands met by the Prince. You make your own characters, you can make some of the foreign nations, you can be a member of a faction, a foreign leader, a diplomat, an ordinary citizen. You name it, and I'll see what I can do if it's not overpowered or unfair. That's it. It's pretty player-driven. Is anybody interested?
Edit: Also, I'd be very interested to know if anyone wants to help co-GM. If you would like to co-GM with me, then please show me some of your previous GM work (like any characters you rejected, any time you responded to people breaking the rules) from any roleplay on any site, and I'll see. As for everyone, I also expect active roleplayers who can post on an almost daily basis.
Edit 2: I made a map.
