Name: Finnos, God of Animals

Appearance: Finnos often takes the form of a younger, pre-teen boy. His skin is a quite tan (appearing perhaps mulatto in ethnicity, for a comparison) , with golden eyes. His hair is light blonde, curly, and always seems to be in a mess around his head and covered in feathers, leaves, maybe a twig or two. Sometimes he will take the form of an animal he desires to be, more than often a hawk for easy travel. His clothes are usually completely absent when he's running around in a forest somewhere, but in front of his siblings and humans he wears the simplest of peasant clothes.

Abilities: He can change his shape into any land animal, turn others into animals, and communicate with animals. Hightened senses of sight and smell, and incredible instinct. He also manages the pecking order of the animals so a species doesn't die out or overpopulate. He works along the God(dess) of the Hunt for regulating animal consumption(?) and is close/ works close with the God(dess) of Earth/Nature (?)

Personality & Personality Flaws: Finnos is one of the younger Gods, appearing when animals were created which is fairly close to the creation of man (I assume) so he has a child-like attitude. He is happy-go-lucky, high spirited, and pretty proud, but like a toddler, can grow indignant and tempermental. He spies on the humans out of curiosity and sometimes meddles with them for fun, and usually gets in trouble. He is very protective of his animal companions, and if one is killed without reason, he goes into a fury. Doesn't get along super well with his siblings and prefers the company of animals.

I'm guessing Ybris will get along/work with Finnos as well, while not liking the God(dess) of Hunt and especially not the Goddess of War since both hunting and war lead to death

You can work this out between yourselves. Group dynamics are also important in this RP.
Other than that, Finnos is accepted. I'm going to assume he can also control humans, as humans are animals.

Also, an important note. If no God is generated to create something during the creation of the universe, then Balsis will create it (e.g. if there's no God to create Land, Balsis will create the Earth; if there's no God to make the Sun and stars, Balsis will, etc.)

Haha, I actually never thought about it that way, but sure, Finnos can control humans. Good point made.
As for Ybris and Finnos's relationship, that sounds fine to me. Maybe, if no one claims creating man, Ybris and Finnos may have worked together to create man?

Actually, my idea for the goddess of war is based more on the idea that violence should be a last resort, that the true mark of a warrior is what they can achieve without bloodshed rather than how big a bodycount they can rack up, and that protection of the weak is more important than rule of the strong. ^^; So... Not like that at all.

Still need to write her up though. Hmmm.

I'm not sure that it'll be manageable to play as two separate characters, and even if so I think it's a bit unfair for others; but even if we don't get "typical" Gods, the fun of it is to create a universe with what we've got.
The IC play will start preferably when all claimed spots will be filled. I'd give it about a week until we start.

Oh, and a note about Gods in general. They are all invisible to all creatures, and can maneuver wherever they like in a flash. They may reveal themselves to certain creatures/communities/whatever for however long they wish.

Velrus, God of Time


For the most part, Velrus will always appear as a young male with tired eyes and a white and reddish-brown robe.

Abilities:
As the God of Time, Velrus has many different abilities pertaining to his sphere of influence.

Embodiment of Time
Velrus in the embodiment of time, and is able to control the flow of time because of this. While he cannot time travel or rewind/accelerate time on a universal scale, time passes at a natural rate as his heart beats. He is however, able to accelerate, decelerate and rewind the time of objects and creatures to bring them to their original state, or to speed up the process of their destruction, although Velrus very rarely feels the need to do this, and instead prefers to observe the an objects natural lifespan, controlled by his very existence. The act of rewinding a living creatures life could serve as a makeshift immortality, but Velrus abstains from doing such things, as he believes immortality is a gift reserved for the gods.

While minor, it is worth noting that it is possible to hear a constant ticking noise when around Velrus, reminiscent to that of a old-school clock. Despite the fact that Velrus is quite used to it, other gods tend to get annoyed or irritated by it if they're near Velrus for a long period of time.

Knowledge of the Past, Present and Future
Being the God of Time, Velrus has taken into account every single detail which has taken place until this very moment, and has organized it into a timeline within his head. While he occasionally shares his memories of what has been, he does not talk about what will be, or what could be to other gods, to ensure that future events are not altered. That, or he's just extremely selfish when it comes to knowledge.

Mementos
Velrus is able to peer into 'what could have been' and remove objects from that plane, he enjoys keeping them as mementos or souvenirs. This tends to be limited to objects, although there are rare cases where Velrus will take creatures - namely dangerous ones, and releases them onto the world. It keeps most of the other gods busy, although Velrus is sometimes punished by Balsis for this.

Realm of Time
Created around the same time as Velrus' birth, the realm of time is simply a near-empty realm which is an endless grey atmosphere, with many semi-tangible clocks of varying sizes within it. Obviously, these clocks tick, and alongside Velrus' own innate ticking, it can be extremely irritating on the ears of many other gods, should they choose to enter the realm.

Personality & Personality Flaws:
While most gods are considered to be benevolent and somewhat good. Velrus can be considered nearer to a neutral state of mind, which sometimes performs less-than-benevolent acts. His sphere of influence makes him arrogant at times, and he sees himself a cut above most of the gods who have spheres pertaining to physical things and basic concepts. Humans appear to something which Velrus sometimes enjoys bothering, as evidenced by usage of his 'mementos'. There are times when Velrus isn't as arrogant as he would normally be, and at these times Velrus can be quite useful, assisting certain gods who rely on certain times in order to be able to do specific actions.

Despite being a god, one of Velrus' odd quirks is that he is seemingly always tired and languid, without explanation, but even so, he is still quite active.

Appearance:

Abilities:
He has a glorious presence that destroys secrets and burns away the darkness in the souls of surrounding living beings. He must go into a sleep in order to be awake and still not destroy people who look at him. He can command fire, heat and light from his body, since his body is basically a mobile Sun. Also, he can use his light as a tool of resurrection, bringing back the dead to life. He also possesses the power to "enlighten" others with greater learning. Not as wise as the god of wisdom, but he can still use his sovereign possession over light for very powerful clairvoyance, and can bring knowledge that others need in order to avoid a grisly end.
His light can enchant the ground for the growth of vegetation, and even magically tell if someone has been lied to, and then to offer them the truth. He has the power to use his light source as a way to fight evil, in much the same way that if evil begins to overcome good, he can provide a way for hope to be restored.

Personality & Personality Flaws:
His power waxes and wanes. He would still be as powerful as a demigod if all the light in the world shut off and never came out, but he's not a demi god, he is a very powerful god. Certain circumstances can make his power grow or start to fade. All of this is not a personality trait or flaw, but it can lead to them developing. He does not deal with humiliation lightly, even if he doesn't obsess over most of his problems that could develop, he could develop an obsession with certain issues of forceful and willful ignorance.

Synn, God of Control


Appearance:


Abilities:
The God of Control is a unique god amongst the other abstractions. While the other abstracts have their respective domains to influence, his presides over command itself. Such are the powers of one who commands the commandments themselves. His powers are often duplicitous in their aspects, representing the two sides of his sphere of influence, as Control requires both a master and a servant.

The Puppet’s Strings, Aspect of Fate and Will


Synn reaches into the fabric of reality to weave strings of fate as he pleases. Once woven, the edicts of destiny are nigh inescapable, as Synn binds reality to a divine decree and anything caught within the mandate of fate become puppets towards the fulfillment of the prophecy. While direct divine intervention may work to counter fate, by leaving his will upon reality, reality will continuously attempt to fulfill the woven fabric. Thus unless Synn reaches into the fabric of reality to cut strings of fate and revoke the decree, reality will begin to warp itself to relieve the strain of the strings binding it like an overstitched cloth twisting. This reality warping causes dangerous effects of creating nonexistent anomalies: eldritch abominations which attempts to annihilate that which causes the strain and project themselves into existence as grotesque masses of indescribable terrors of beyond understanding. The anomalies serve as a failsafe mechanism of reality, and are quite irksome to the gods as they are unaffected by divine powers. By the same ability, Synn may release portions of reality from fate by tearing at the fabric, though this will sever the affected from reality and thus are no longer bound to the powers of the gods be it their curses or blessings.

The Void of Lunacy, Aspect of Restraint and Desire


Synn’s presence may drive lesser beings into madness. Those under the influence of his influence may find themselves subjected to their own desires. They may lose control over their own minds as desires take them to the point of losing all other purpose but to sate their uncontrolled desire. Those of which who have fallen into their vice become primal vestiges of their former selves submitting to fanaticism towards their idols. Some fall to beauty, pride and the arts, some to greed, luxury, and envy, others to lust, carnality and pleasure, while others yet fall to conflict, carnage and suffering, some to indulgence, devouring and decadence, others still to knowledge, secrets and immortality or those who seek rest, torpor and inactivity. Other side of madness occurs when Synn instills control over such beings to which they may become agents of stoicism. These zealots become obsessed with self-control and controlling others to become as they are unlike their aforementioned counterparts. The zealots forgo all desires but control itself.

The Celestial Conduit, Aspect of Subjugation and Freedom


Synn’s control is absolute. While other divinities retain their spheres of influence, these spheres are not exclusive with respect to Synn. He may exert his dominion over control itself to glean from other gods their abilities. This ability require contact with the divinity to be affected, although does not require either party to remain in contact after the initial contact. Any powers or abilities gained are temporary and are often of lesser magnitude to their original possessor who retains the very same ability. This ability allows him to mimic the other gods abilities for his own uses although at a much smaller scale. By the same token, Synn may also exert his powers to amplify the control of the other gods over their own dominions. This allows them to temporarily gain heightened influences into their spheres and empower their abilities to larger magnitudes or even generate novel abilities beyond their original scope. This aspect of the ability, unlike the other, requires the parties to remain in contact for the ability to function. Implementing the same ability on lesser beings will enslave them to Synn’s will, becoming an extension of him as he may control them as he pleases as an avatar at his whim, or alternatively, grant them lessor powers and abilities based on their nature. Use of this ability upon lessor beings does not require direct contact and the effects are permanent.

The Pit of Pandemonium


Synn’s own realm of existence, woven around the fringes of reality, it serves as an asylum for those afflicted by his abilities. Pandemonium is a described as a multi-planar sinkhole embedded into reality as each planar strata serves to imprison the vices while a central tower anchors the planes together. While each plane is unique and weaves itself to suit its inhabitants, outsiders and visitors may find Pandemonium both appealing and appalling. Synn often resides in the tower itself, if not a chosen avatar puppet.

Personality & Personality Flaws:
Synn is a darker god, with more malevolent powers than benevolent ones. His agendas are his own, and often serve to keep the balance between the other divinities and keep them under control. To which one may question his interference in the affairs of the gods, and perhaps even his subservience to Balsis. Amongst the gods, he is known for his silver tongue and unnerving appearance. Despite this, he may be quite benevolent when a sudden whim overtakes his usual persona of the cold, calculating imperialist. This is due to the fact that, like his powers, Synn also suffers from a duality in his persona. This is perhaps the one reason why Balsis had created the ironic paradox in afflicting the god of control with a dual personality. For what is more amusing than a god of control who cannot control his own dichotomy.

Slatera, God Of Corruption


No mercy for the guilty... Or the innocent, for that matter.
Abilities:
Slatera's abilities are much less miraculous as the other gods. Instead, it is based around the corruption of the other gods' creations. Even so, he can not corrupt everything. He can only corrupt half of what gods make. Due to this power and his nature, the other gods vilify him; they would even go so far as to try to commit deicide to remove him. When Slatera uses one of his abilities, the symbol for that mark appears in one of his cages he carries around.

Atrophy, the First Mark
Atrophy is the first of Slatera's powers. It removes the strength of a creation. By removing the strength of a sentient being, it makes them willing to commit heinous acts against each other, or gods.

Wither, the Second Mark
Wither is the second power. It weakens a creation. If the creation is an animal, they will become malnourished, and desperate. If the creation is a plant, the crops will wither away. If the creation is a concept, the concept will be trusted less and less. If the creation is a pantheon, church, or other building, the building will quickly erode away to earth.

Blight, the Third Mark
Blight changes something so it has negative effects on others. This can be a decomposer that had been turned to eat flesh, or a cold turned to plague.

Sacrilege, the Fourth Mark
Sacrilege fills the mind of a sentient being with doubts in the gods, causing them to start commiting heinous acts against the gods, and their followers.

Aphotism, the Fifth Mark
Aphotism is a strange mark. It clouds the vision of a creation, giving them a negative outlook on life, the gods, and concepts. Although the person will not actively try to disobey a god's words like The Mark of Sacrilege, they will still be wary of taking any word of a god

Suffering, the Sixth Mark
Suffering is a simple mark that's much more personal. Any living creation that is afflicted by it will constantly have pain befall them. While the pain may not be physical, the pain still causes despair.

Truth, the Ninety-Ninth Mark
The final mark, Truth, is confusing. Slatera doesn't use this mark anymore, as when he uses it, he sacrifices another mark. From what the gods know of, this power is nothing by itself. Once it sacrifices a mark, nothing happens at first. Slowly, every being is affected by it. There is only one known count of this mark being used, and that is the mark of Death. This mark was sacrificed long before the other gods had any concept of life and death. It is unknown why Slatera had sacrificed Death so early. Perhaps it is because he foresaw the creation of life, or... something else did.

Personality & Personality Flaws:
Slatera is a strange man. He seems nearly psychopathic. Although, this doesn't mean that he is psychotic. He is extremely calm at any time, and never does something without reason. Even though he corrupts the creations of others, he does have a reason for doing such. Such a reason is a secret that he shan't tell anyone.

Slatera speaks in a odd way. His voice is deep, and seems to have an inhumane filter on it (loud). He speaks in two part phrases, separated by a long pause, such as "Light can not exist without dark... but it can exist without you." and "Hope always remains... but hope is filled with poison." For some odd reason, the first part is always "good", while the second part is always "evil", corrupting the idea of the first part.
