Uh... Pretty sure the "aliens go home!" racism stuff... Doesn't exist in Dragonball?

Would be really, really, really weird and unfitting if it did seeing how bizarre a lot of inhabitants of the planet are. :\

It really doesn't. It would be even weirder if it existed hundreds of years after the events of Z where at least a decent portion of the population is descended from Saiyans and Majins and Namekians make up decent sized minority populations too. Plus like Rin said the population of the planet itself is so inherently weird that it would seem hypocritical. As evidence of that Goku and Piccolo were both able to live on Earth for decades or in Piccolo's case technically centuries without anyone even thinking they might be aliens despite Piccolo literally being a green man with antennae and Goku being a kid with a monkey-tail who turned into a giant ape at the full moon.

Considering like half the contestants in the tournament itself are aliens or descended from aliens and the whole crowd was implied to be fine with it it just seems weird, extremely out of place and overly dark and unfitting for the setting. Not sure why you feel the need to shoehorn it in.

and before anyone gets into "But humans on normal Earth are racist towards other humans all the time even though they're all the same species" or something, I'll just remind you all that this is a universe wherein Mr. Popo exists and not ONCE does anyone notice that he's basically a massive stereotype that has somehow taken on sentience. The Dark Lord Popo clearly devoured all forms of race or species-ism long ago.

Anyways, might as well at least try to make what I'd written thus far meaningful so will hopefully get a flashback-heavy post up later maybe but we'll see.

Mr. Popo is love. Mr. Popo is life. Considering he had demonstrated both immortality and the ability to outclass two Super Saiyans simultaneously... I think it doesn't matter what he is. XD

My post was going off of the fact that racism does exist in the Dragon ball universe since Frieza was clearly racist against the saiyans. Also Mr Popo so far as I know never really interacted with the average human population. I feel like Akira left it open to interpretation for how humans act when it comes to other races since he never really focused on them in dbz.

The Mr.Popo comment was a joke. The argument didn't involve whether Freeza was racist, it was concerning the general population of Earth which has never displayed any such inclination and frankly I'd rather keep unecessary issues of racism and species-ism out of a Dragonball inspired action RP that really doesn't need pointless drama and extra issues. That's just my personal preference.

Freeza was basically designed to be utterly loathsome (Toriyama based him on how he thought monsters were like when he was a kid, if I remember right), so he is kind of a terrible defence to fall back on. I think if you want to do something gritty and realistic like that, Dragonball is not the thing you're looking for. ^^;

I mean we all loved it the last time Dragonball tried to be realistic, right? : D

I mostly did it because it is much harder for me to post since I can only have my character watch the fight so I spiced things up to keep it from being very dull

The other characters and players who are spectating are managing just fine without casually creating dramatic issues of racism for their posts. Personally, interjecting random anti-alien racists into your post that complicate things needlessly makes me want to read them less rather than making it seem more exciting and interesting or anything like that.

Well, there was racism on earth, Piccolo sorta scared people when he interacted with them in the cell/buu sagas because he was green. And there will always be some small racist here or there so its not unheard of. Just call it a group of racist friends and call it a day probably.

But yeah, your right blade.

The Piccolo thing was less because he was green and more because he reminded them of his father, really, if I remember right. XD But that's just being nitpicky now. ^^;

Anyways, unless I end up falling asleep beforehand I should hopefully have this post out tonight so, um, yeah. And maybe once that's done I'll work on Chikori's big sister Kondai maybe but we'll see.

Despite being much, much weaker than him, Guls opponent was incredibly tricky and Guls was trying very very hard not to accidentally kill him for most of the fight.

Not easy to have a good fight with someone so beneath your power level. I'm afraid you'll likely run into that problem more than once. :P

I hope I did a servicable job of it. Also I doubt that any of the other competitors is quite as weak as Slapstick, tricks and illusions notwithstanding.

I liked it. Though I feel like I didn't do such a good job with my fight. Its hard to work with a tank-like character when you can just get an easy ringout due to his poor balance. lol.

I find it ironic that Chikori looked down on the idea of wishing for power when that is exactly what Fenro plans to do should he win. x3

I believe there is only one player versus NPC fight left before we get to the good stuff. Light will receive 20 points for her victory. I contemplated giving more for the TFS squeaky toy reference but ultimately decided I have to be rational as a GM. I failed to update the roster and OP last night, like the amazing person that I am, so instead I shall get them done within the hour. That way I pressure myself with my own time limit. Clever trick. I should also probably update my characters too. But technically that is part of the OP so it's really two birds in one stone...

Hey, it's cheating, and she has her Saiyan pride. XD She only wants strength she's gained through her own power... Kind of like Goku really, seeing how he felt about the Super Saiyan God powerup. XD
