She snorted, waving him off. "Don't even worry about it. I think no less of you. I'm sure your actions were just in some form, and it would be a tad hypocritical if me, the Siren, judged you for your solicitation. If it makes you feel any better about the whole attempted murder thing, I actually was charged with murder. Which was, in fact, justified. Absolutely so. That, however, is for another time." Coming back to his first statement, she frowned. "Hey, I'm not just anybody. I share a house with you now."

Skye let out a small sigh. **Looks like she forgot again.** "I'm Skye, I usually look after you. Do you know the name of this place?" She had to make sure Hapi had only forgot who she was and no forget the rest of the world around her. --- Sorcha jumped a little again when the girl first screamed her answer. But said her answer again in a more reasonable tone, then mumbled on about some stuff she had already seen. But proceeded to follow her. "Help?" She asked, seeing if the girl needed any help after her unique stumble.

A ghost of a smile graced Mitch's face to hear that Karaiyah wouldn't judge. It was good to know that he'd be accepted here, by at least one person. While he'd never have been seen baiting on street corners, there were still people who had looked down upon him for his actions. He didn't mind her murder charge; he knew from experience that there were people in this world who were better off dead. But he had to take some offence to her assumption that he had been arrested on attempted murder. "*Hey!*" He retorted, snappier than he meant to be. Still, his face grew cold. "Look I'm sure that whoever you killed certainly deserved it -really, I am- but I never tried to *kill* anybody! It was an assault charge, nothing more!" He knew that, rationally, he shouldn't take such offence. After all, the two charges were mixed up all the time, Kai had made an honest mistake. And he wasn't ashamed of his crimes; he'd freely own up to them, but he had never intended to hurt anybody. Embarrassed, he cast his eyes downward, stature changing from aggressive to reserved. "I..." He inwardly slapped himself, retreating to grab his bag, then turning and walking past Karaiyah and out the door. "I'm gonna go... Gonna to take a shower."

She giggled and steadied herself "No I'm fine" She smiled and continued walking a little less wobble but swaying a tad every ten steps or so until she made it upto the door with the girl "Oh I'm Fallon by the way, nice to meet you"

Karaiyah flinched at his snap, face falling considerably and turning red, as it always did when she was upset and trying to hide it. Which, naturally, made it more obvious. She nodded, not trusting her words to not fail her. She quickly walked out, whispering "so sorry" softly before closing the door behind her. She went into her own room, not even bothering to close the door before she sat next to the wall, head in her knees as she muttered to herself. "Stupid, stupid, stupid. You're so stupid, Kai. It was a stupid joke and you made a stupid mistake and you'll be lucky if he even wants to see you again." She took a shuddering breath, before composing herself and leaving a note on her door saying she was down at the bay and she'd be back soon. She ran out of the house, grateful that no one noticed her state as she absconded to the bay. She arrived by foot awhile later, shedding her clothes before diving into the water gracefully. She felt her tail form and her stress ebb away as she started doing simple tricks and stunts to distract herself.

Peering out from the crack of his door, Rey's eyes scanned accusingly. He hear a small skirmish and wanted to know what was up, his mood now plummeting to its usual state. "Who's making noise?" He demanded, trying to keep the confronting tone out of his voice. It was annoying enough that people ruined lazy time but he didn't want Marisol getting on his case for trying to start a fight. Two of the blank rooms were open and he assumed that one was for the lanky guy from before. _"Did another tenant come?"_ He wondered, slipping out of his messy room and looking to see. As he passed Karaiyah's room, he noticed the post-it and sighed. _"Why do all the things happen when I'm not around."_ Looking in one room, he saw a bag open and the room empty of people. He moved onto the next open door and saw another bag haphazardly flung aside, and a girl. He made a face. _"When are we going to get more boys in here? It already sucks smelling blood every month. This isn't going to help it!"_

Juniper's moment of peace was interrupted by the feeling of presence outside her door. A young man filled the hallway, his face a bit twisted. Maybe he had bad gas, who knows. *"You looking for someone, or something?"* The girl commented, rolling from her stomach and up to a sitting position. She inched off the bed going towards the door so she could pick up her bag. There wasn't a single thing in there worth any real money, but it was the only crap she had. She picked up the bag from the floor. Tossing it again towards the bed. It missed and hit the wall with a sickening plop. If anything fragile was in there, it was sure to be done for. It was then her gaze went into the hallway, she took the boy in fully. Not too bad. She ran a hand through her mess of pink hair, leaning up against the doorway, waiting for the boy to answer her question from a minute ago. Juniper knew it wouldn't be a bad idea to make some myth friends, though she would be first to admit she spent most of her teens around humans.

Rey shifted from one leg to the other, his arms crossing over his chest as he huffed and a puff of smoke came bellowing out. "I heard a noise out here and came to investigate. Just got here?" He asked, coal black eyes watching. Sometimes it was hard for other people to tell where he was looking as he did not have the whites in his eyes. His tail hung low and swayed slightly with anticipation, his senses open to anything that might seem out of place. "When did you come in?"

Karaiyah swam for a bit longer, before she wore herself out and instead chose to sit on the abandoned dock facing the water, the tip of her tail just barely touching the water. She began singing softly, eyes closing while she concentrated on the tune her mother had taught her as a girl. It had always been her mom's favourite, and the lulling tones reminded Karaiyah of her. Her voice rang out as a low alto while she sang, something she was quite proud of.

Sorcha nodded when she said her name. **Fallon, nice name.** A faint smile appeared on her face. "Sorcha." Then Sorcha got ahead of herself "Are we friends now?" her eyes widened and she shook her head quickly. "I mean...um....it's because..I...." She couldn't find a away to take it back or explain why she asked that. So she just hung her head, "Sorry..." she mumbled. **Good job, now she's probably creeped out.**

Fallon was still staring at the girl, wondering what she was and assumed it was rude to ask, she hadn't known many people, let alone myths who she had only found out about in prison. Of course only after thinking a hundred things did she respond "Friends?....Sure!" She smiled, only knowing about the term from books, so she was interested to find out what friends her like outside the tasty pages of her books.

Mitch ignored dragon-boy's irritated shout in favour of finding the bathroom. It wasn't too hard, as the house wasn't magnificently large, and soon enough he had showered (taking longer than normal, relishing the privacy) and slipped into a t-shirt and shorts; the only other clothes he had, aside from his prison wear. The outfit was one of many things he'd gotten from a thrift store on the way here, the rest just everyday amenities (soap, toothbrush, etc.) that he knew he would need. Throwing his bag back into his room, he closed the door and ran a hand through his damp hair, still annoyed at himself for snapping at Karaiyah. Doing this, he caught a glimpse of the note on her door. 'Down at the bay, back soon' it read. Well, Mitch wasn't one to freak out and not apologize, and he figured that waiting until she returned would be taking an easy way out. So, going downstairs and seeking out Marisol, he asked, "Hey, where is 'the bay'? I uh, I need to go do something." *Well done, smart guy,* he thought, *only been here what, half an hour? And you're already causing problems.*

Marisol turned to him partially, as she was washing the dishes, and responded "the bay Es about a half hour drive west. If you follow the big grey skyscraper it will take you right to it... Is something wrong?" She asked, stopping her chore

Sorcha smiled, and briefly hugged Fallon. Once she drew back from the hug, she looked at Fallon. "Shall we go in?" she asked, making a gesture towards the door. She also took note of Fallon's continued staring. "Haven't seen many slimes?" she asked with her head tilted to the side.

Mitch rubbed the back of his neck, like a teenager afraid to give his mother his report card. "Well, I snapped at Karaiyah, and she deserves an apology." That would be his only answer. After all, Marisol had probably heard the commotion from the kitchen. He cast his eyes down at the woman, a sheepish grin that was halfway to being a grimace forming on his face.

**"I heard a noise out here and came to investigate. Just got here?"** The boy asked Juniper, her eyes tried to follow his, but the lack of white surrounding it made it difficult to tell whether he was looking at her or somewhere completely different. His tail hung low and swayed slightly with anticipation, his senses open to anything that might seem out of place. **"When did you come in?"** the boy asked again, before Juniper could answer his previous question. He seemed a little on edge, but I guess anyone would be in a house for criminals. *"Just got in a few moments ago."* the girl chirped, her body not tense in the slightest as she let herself press against the door frame. *"I like your tail."* Juniper said playfully, when she noticed it swaying behind the boy, *"I'd show you mine, but it requires a little more work."* she winked, with a soft chuckle. *"Hey, what's your name anyways? I'm Juniper. Some of my friends called me Juju, but I didn't like that very much. So maybe you can find another nickname for me during our time here."*

marisol smiled at him "its okay. It is your first day here, But as I keep telling you, read the rules. I could not hear clearly, so I am unsure if your altercation was an argument for not, but know that those are not tolerated around here. I have a very fragile reputation to uphold" She reminded. "Now, are you sure you want to go all the way out there? She's usually singing at the dock, and that can have bad results - i know from experience"

He offered a hand, trying to show some manners. "Geoffrey Dirk, dragon. I prefer Rey or my dragon name Croweyes." His wings moved tentatively. "Welcome to Oasis, June." The tail comment stuck in his mind as he looked her over. She looked pretty human but he wondered what she could be if there was a tail involved. _"With that hair, I would say mermaid."_ He pondered. _"Maybe some sort of tailed nymph?"_ He appreciated the flirty gesture, returning it with a slight smirk.

His hand came out, for a normal handshake as he spoke, **"Geoffrey Dirk, dragon. I prefer Rey or my dragon name Croweyes."** Rey said, his wings moving as he spoke. She took his hand in hers and gave a gentle squeeze. **"Welcome to Oasis, June."** he spoke, as their hands released from one another. *"Thankyou Rey. I'm a Mermaid."* she paused *"If you were wondering that is."* she added, putting out her left human leg and wiggling it playfully. A smirk crawled upon Rey's face and Juniper couldn't help but let out a laugh. *"I got these when I was 15 years old. Came out of north side bay and was a beach bum ever since."* she flashed her smile, before leaning in closer to the boy. *"What did you get in for?"* she asked in a rushed whisper. She would very much like to know who she was getting involved with before starting any type of friendships. She leaned back against the door way, *"You don't have to tell me if you don't want to though, I'd find out eventually."*

Mitch nodded respectfully. "Don't worry, it won't happen again." He turned to make his way out of the house, looking over his shoulder to call, "And I'm not afraid of a little singing." He took a look at the rules on the way out, noting that they were all reasonable, and rushed out the door, narrowly avoiding bumping in to the two women standing there. "Sorry!" he quipped as he passed, not really concerned with them. ----------- Mitch had managed to find the way to the bay by bus, luckily Marisa's advice about following the skyscraper was hugely accurate. The way to the dock was down a wooded path, scarcely found in cities such as this. It must have been some kind of park. Perfect for privacy, he supposed. He walked briskly down the path, eyes cast downward as he tried to figure out what to say. Never in his life had he really found himself in the role of the wrongdoer, or at the very least, the one apologizing first. It hadn't been much of a practice in his circles, so he struggled a bit with coming up with an apology. However, it was all wiped from his mind when he heard a very quiet, soft voice, coming from the same direction he heard gentle waves. He slowed, walking silently, listening. As he drew nearer, he recognized the sound as singing, the most lovely he'd ever heard. He felt like he should recognize the song, but didn't know why; maybe he'd heard it in prison? Who knew. Maybe his mind was playing tricks on him. As he cleared the trees, he could see a figure sitting on the dock, and hear the singing clearly. Obviously a woman, by form and by voice, but it wasn't the same ear-splitting soprano that most singing women he knew took pride in. It must be Karaiyah: she was here, exactly where she said she would be, and doing exactly what Marisol said she would. And while the song was by far the most beautiful he'd ever heard (he'd expect nothing less from a Siren) he wasn't hypnotized. At least, not in the way that lead seafaring men to their deaths. After listening to her song for a little while, he felt the familiar warmth that came with any music. A side-effect of the species, he'd called it. By now he had an ear for the tune, and hoping for the best, he stepped onto the dock and started whistling an improvised counter-melody to the song, hoping it would be a gentle way to announce his presence, as not to startle her.
