> Second Vid: For a transformer whose been at war for so long, he sure does have terrible aim. In a firefight that lasts like, what, 7-8 minutes, he hits three targets? He's a scorpion. I don't much else to say. Other than that, we couldn't have the main characters being killed of by a psycho killer robot. Although personally I would like to say more of them died. I'm confused by the same thing. I think that whole scene (especially the air strike) was just to stroke the pride (or ego) of the USAF. (stormtrooper syndrome) Plus he does kill a few villagers, that one soldier (the impaled one) and the injured guy. Perhaps his aim was never that good. He specialized more in like what he did to that first white guy with glasses. Maybe he got a bit too eager and rather then stalk them in the desert (where he could hide around in the ground by digging) he confronted them in the open where they could shoot back.

Yeah, I mean, if an airstrike can beat a Transformer, even a bad one, then... The Transformers aren't really a threat to the world. Sure, the Transformers may be awesome, but if you can hurt one with an airstrike, then modern military forces will start sending hundreds upon hundreds of aircraft to whack you in the face if you start making a real bid for world domination.

Well ... it was explained, and does make sense for Scorponok. The Warthogs hardly do anything to him, while the Gunship injures him quite a bit (still doesn't kill him enough to make escape impossible). Scorponok is one of the smaller Decepticons. Plus, they didn't yet figure out what weapons were dangerous to them or not, and so the gunship actually hurting him was quite a surprise. Basically he wasn't prepared and was caught off guard. If he knew, he likely would have won. But I think Scorponok isn't too good at seeing the big picture. He is a scorpion (not quite sure if he's sentient or not) Another issue is their ego. The transformers (especially the Decepticons) think they're superior to humans in every way. So when it happens that there's something that can hurt them, they're quite surprised because they weren't expecting it.

I don't think you quite understand how a modern military works. Incidentally, the representation of a Combat Controller was pretty cool in that scene. I trained at the same base as those guys; their washouts get my job.

(note 1) **Scorponok:** Chased off after surprise attack by USAF **Bonecrusher:** Killed by Optimus via face removal **Frenzy: **Severely wounded by shooting himself in the face with his own shurikens. Dumbass. **Brawl:** Killed by Bumblebee via cannon blast to the spark (heart/soul/life-force) with human assistance. He already had his arm sawed off by Ratchet. (note 2) **Blackout:** Killed by F22 Raptors and Lennox (shot in the crotch ... ouch) **Megatron:** Killed by Sam via shoving the Allspark into chest (overloaded his body with raw Energy, killing him). Had assistance from humans and Optimus. (note 1: Scorponok is one of the smallest Decepticons and was surprised by the aircraft he didn't see, nor could he retaliate) (note 2: Blackout was distracted by Lennox, giving the jets an opening. By the time he turned back to the jets, it was too late) --- So yeah, humans don't really do much compared to Autobots.

Yes, but in each of those fights, humanity's response was pretty limited by fear of collateral damage or lack of manpower on the scene. If it came to a real war... You'd be looking at hundreds of thousands of infantry pounding those little heat guns into Megatron. I don't think he would enjoy that. If humanity got to the point of desperation to start using Stalingrad tactics... Decepticons would not last long if each little heat gun has even a one in ten thousand chance of injuring.

You'd be looking at hundreds of thousands of infantry pounding those little heat guns into Megatron. I don't think he would enjoy that. Sure, by numbers. But then you factor in the Decepticon army. It's still there, on the moon, just waiting to be activated. The story states that Megatron didn't use them only because he was so focused on the Allspark. Plus, there's bots like Soundwave. He's capable of hacking into, monitoring, and censoring practically all communication on Earth and the surrounding solar system. And yes, nukes are scary. But compare that to a weapon that devours suns? Or can open a portal through space and time?

I'm just going to say that Scorponok in the first movie was more than likely hit with maverick missiles coming from those A-10s For reference, mavericks are made to bust _ships_ and Scorpy took like four of those, which is utterly ridiculous Scorponok isn't exactly hardcore badass by Bayformer Con standards, and our modern military would absolutely kill for something that tough

Also yes, I spent the vast majority of my time between the last Blake post and mind, puzzling and deciding what book Blade Wolf should be reading. ~~ Oooh? That is some cool stuff. I didn't actually watch any of the movies after the first one.

I feel similarly about Doctor Who and Transformers. I watched the first (new first, that is) Doctor Who season, and was happy without desire to watch more, and I watched the first Transformers movie and was happy without desire to watch more.
