The city seemed to be in ruins. Ikebukuro Japan didn't even look as it used to, it was but a vestige of what it formerly was. All of this, because of the war that had broken out between the Colors. At the center, stood a man wrapped in a coat and another girl. Well, at the very least it seemed to be in ruins. **"Why don't you give up already, Jun? You can't even reach me, no matter what you try."** The man wrapped in the coat said. The stoic girl kept her cool despite the futile attempts of attacking this guy, she said no word and shoots out bullets from her machine gun followed by an afterimage and swipe of ice geysers, multitude of moves should be enough, she invokes from a distance that something he won't see coming, but first a mist is the cover. Their location is in ruins, floating rocks and buildings. She appears behind him quick with her guns lock and loaded, and vast afterimages everywhere that feints to shoot bullets. The coated man didn't even move. The bullets seemed to be avoiding him for some reason. That, or he was reflecting them in some manner. **"I told you, no? It is futile, no matter what you try."** He said. Then came the ice geysers and mist, trying to throw him off, but it was useless. The ice geysers again moved away from him and the mist just cut off his eyesight. Though, when Jun put herself behind him, then that was a pinch. **"My, now that's something that not even I could manage to deflect with my ability."** Hell rained down on him, bullets everywhere pursued him. However, he did not faze. With his hands still in his pockets, he seemed to have disappeared for a moment, just to appear behind the afterimages of Jun. **"But still not enough."** The buildings continued to collapse and lava erupts from the ground, she avoids it with a jump or it may seem. With the many afterimages still like ice and mist still yet slowly disappearing, she appears in front of him, point blank upside down like as if she's blurry and vibrating. A somewhat copies of her that appear to be afterimages attack with hand to hand combat from every direction. While the stilled upside down Jun who still is vibrating and blurred pulls the trigger. Letting out a sigh, the man just stays there, seeing how Jun's copies try to hurt him, to no avail. **"You still don't get it, huh?"** He sees the real Jun pull the trigger and a bullet coming out. The barrel of the gun suddenly starts melting down. **"You can't win against me. Not with your ability."** The bullet is deflected again. The man sweeps the copies away with his arm and then dashes to where Jun is, taking her from her neck with his right hand, while his left hand remains in his pocket. **"Say something, Jun-chan. This is getting boring."** She is choking and the vibrating of her stopped, they seem to be levitating due to zero gravity or more or less that is the effect of zeroth. **"A- A..."** She can't even say what she has to say rather it looks like she is cornered, yes totally outmatched by him but turning the tables won't be that bad. She delivered a grab to his head not letting go. "A time where fire fights with fire." She said. The stilled Jun that was grabbed turned out to be an ice clone. **"You're right this is getting boring. I got nothing to say to the dead unless it could be rewind, I'll have something better to say."** She finally talks but she's wounded and bleeding from her back. **"Haha, you never fail to deliver, do you, Jun-chan?"** The clone was grasping hard onto his head, but with a single motion, he broke it to pieces. **"This is just getting to the good part, then. Show me what else you can do, Jun-chan. Before she arrives." ** She sighed. **"....... D---."** A monstrous scream, huge flapping wings, and red sinister eyes, its skin is black as hell. She's terrified of its presence... **"I told you before, the lives lost is never to mourn but to move forward, how blind you are rather, I look forward seeing this unfold."**Jun appears to have stabbed him with a knife from the back. **"Be it a friend, a family, or a lover. An eye for an eye can turn whole world blind, colors that are beyond comprehension, colors that you can't understand is that of pitch black abyss, right. See you again and I hope with your strength we'll be able to stop this threat." ** **"You... bitch. I will end you. Their deads were not in vain, I will bring all of them back after I win this idiocy."** Having lost his cool, the man in the coat is about to dash against Jun once again, but this time, he is stopped in his tracks by a gigantic hand. **"Demoliorsa... Don't. Get. In. My. Way!"** The man in the coat takes the monstrous, black hand with both hands. **"I'll seriously kill you one of these days! Both you and Mirurun."** However, the monster easily lifted him, effectively deactivating his power. **"Wha!?" It lifts its arm and then brings it down full speed, with the coated man still attached to it and unable to free himself. "Damn, let me go! Let me goooo!"** He is smashed against the ground and left unconscious, with his eyes rolled back and his mouth opened. His features cannot be seen, but that much is at least clear. A man in a business suit is watching those two, **"It seeks nothing but destruction, it doesn't speak a word for humans are nothing more than insects to it."** Jun disappears. He approaches the dying man while all this destruction is being wrought. **"Now, now.. my child. You are not dead for there is still a breath of life in you. A table of glass that is, how humiliating, your loss to be beaten by a woman. Therefore you suck."** The man is standing right in front of him, crouching to get a closer look, criticizing him. --- Time seemed to have turned back. Ikebukuro Japan was as nice as it always was, birds were even chirping. A sleeping Ryousei is shaken by his shoulders. He grunts a bit before opening his eyes. **"Ryousei, c'mon, Ryousei, wake up."** A girl says, while shaking him. They seem to be in a classroom. **"Cris.."** Ryousei blinked a bit before seeing the blonde girl in front of him. **"What is it?"** **"I just received a notification from the Color Tracker."** She says, holding her smartphone on her hand. **"It seems more Colors have been given their powers. What should we do?"** She seems quite worried. Ryousei, who was sleeping on a chair with his feet up in a table stands up. **"Can you pinpoint their location?"** He asks the girl, while he stretches out a bit. **"I can, but it'll take some time."** Ryousei laughs a bit. **"It's good, I know you take some time. It's perfect, though, maybe they can get a hang of their powers while we pinpoint their locations. We can then bring them in and explain everything."** He finally ends his stretching, and the girl is already pushing keys in a keyboard. **"Everything about this foolish war. We really need to come up with a seudonym for it, though, it is confusing to just call it 'war'."**

Takeshi Kiski was having an odd day. This was in part, due to the complete lack of sleep he got. The room spinning every now and then when he blinked or closed his eyes did nothing to help how he was feeling that day. And having school just made trying to keep himself awake just that much worse. He was lucky though, they had some more interesting material today in several classes, which allowed him to zone out of his current state and go into his realm of focus, leaving behind the world around him, just as it did him. He also thought back on *why* he was up the whole night. The answer being simple: He had recieved a strange ass text last night that spoke of a war basically, super powers, and a whole lot of contestents- and he apperently had become one unknowingly. But the main reason was simpler than that- He could move shadows. He could bend, shape, mold, and he thought he might even be able to craft with them. He found this out last night. He just moved a few shadows, but suddenly, he knew he could move more. After all, if he couldn't, why would he get the creepy text? So he tried. And then he got sucked into a combination or reading, pondering, and testing out his newfound "ability." He wasn't doing all **too** bad with it....he thought anyway. But this is suppose to be a war, and he just got his materials for fighting in it. He was undoubtably behind. And that didn't bode well for his chances of winning, or surviving. Takeshi didn't like that. So devoted the night to teaching himself some simple tricks and the like that he could use to get himself by for now as protection. He didn't want to be like Emiya Shirou on his first night after all. Every night after didn't seem all that bad though, except for the ending. The endings always seem to suck for Shirou somehow....yeah. Maybe that *wasn't* the best of ideas to think up of or go with.... **"Yo, Kiski-san, could you help explain these problems for us?"** Another group of students asked for his help. Again. For the nth day in a row. He began to wonder why he bothered with the idiots. *No matter. I might as well just get this over with for now. Then I can read for a while instead.* Nodding to himself slighty, Takeshi went over to help the students, and let the most of the school day pass by relatively uninhibited.

**"Wow..."** Altzer said aloud, looking down from the roof of the apartment complex. **"Where am I?"** As he looked down, he couldn't recognize any landmarks to tell him where specifically he was in Ikebukuro. And he was sure this wasn't his apartment complex either. He'd spent maybe 2 hours now? Going rooftop to rooftop, searching for a good way to get home. _I thought high places were the best for this kind of thing._ He thought. He had been trying to get home quickly using his photon form, but he'd hit a wall maybe, or someone's mirror, or something; he bounced off it, he'd panicked and gone straight up and he'd gone on top of some apartment building. Naturally, being the genius he was, he'd decided the best course of action was to go from rooftop to rooftop to hopefully find a way to get home without getting seen. _I still have to get used to this, I suppose._ It reminded him of the day before, and the first time he'd used his powers... --- _**The Previous day...**_ **"Wow..."** Altzer said aloud, looking down from the roof of his apartment complex. **"Where am I?"** He was sure he'd been having breakfast just before. He'd sat down after making some instant ramen to enjoy it, when suddenly, he felt his stomach drop and he somehow ended up on the roof? Suddenly, he felt his phone buzz in his pocket. He pulled it out, and he was surprised to see he'd gotten a message? Then he read it. ...He felt that there should've been some X3 in there, or at least some :D. _I guess there's the XOXO and all,_ He thought, _But still..._ There was also the murder part. But he'd sort of glossed over that because of how unreal the tone of the message had made it sound... Then he got the other message. This one had a cartoonish face of a girl in it, along with the simple message: <_If you wanna survive, use this!_>. _I'm sure an XD would've been fine..._ He thought as he looked at the screen. He started to download the 'Colour Tracker' and put his phone away to reassess his situation. _So, I just got superpowers._ He thought. Several questions arose in his mind, such as: _How do these powers work? What's the limit on these powers? What's the limit on this wish?_ All however, became eclipsed by one other thing. _Wait! My ramen's getting cold and I still have school today don't I!_ With that, Altzer ran for the roof exit as fast as he could and returned to his daily life, or at least for a few more hours... --- _**Present Day...**_ **"Wow..."** Altzer said aloud, looking down from the roof of another apartment complex. **"Where am I now?"** As he'd been reminiscing, he'd decided to try his luck and fly around randomly, but he'd just ended up on another apartment complex which looked exactly the same as the one he was just on, and was definitely not his apartment complex. _Maybe I should try again..._ He thought. Then he looked down at his watch. _Ahhh! I have to get home already!_ Looking around desperately, he decided to try his luck at ground level. He looked back down over the side of the apartment complex, and saw that it was home to a deserted alleyway. _Good._ He thought. Climbing onto the edge, he stood up and jumped off into the air. As he started to fall, he focused and he felt the now familiar feeling of change. He felt time slow down suddenly, and he saw his vision seemed to disintegrate as his body changed into photon form. He couldn't see while in Photon Form, but he could sense where the Photons that made up his body were going. When he shifted in and out of his Photon Form, a large amount of his Photons were scattered which he somehow knew made a large flash, but had the added benefit of giving him something similar to echo location. After school the previous day, he'd spent most of the day practicing controlling his Photon Form. As he did so, he discovered a few curious facts. He could change himself and his clothes into Photon Form as well as what he was holding to a certain extent. How his power judged stuff to be either held or clothing, he didn't know. He could change his bag if he was holding it into Photon Form, but he couldn't change a held item any bigger than a pen. The feeling of his hypothetical Photon Form Feet touching solid ground snapped him back to reality and he instantly changed back into physical form before he bounced off the ground. As time returned to normal speed, and his vision reconstructed, he realized he'd made a mistake. **"Whoops, is this my battle form?"** Looking down, he saw he was wearing his 'battle uniform' which he'd designed and committed to memory the day before. He was wearing some clothes which he though would look cool, and he'd sliced off some extra height to convert the mass into extra muscle for running and climbing. He'd also made himself look about 12 years old, mainly for cosmetic purposes. He'd found out the previous day that he could manipulate and change his physical form. He also found that he couldn't do anything more than his mass allowed, as his power clearly followed the laws of physics. For some reason, he couldn't change the mass of anything that wasn't 'his'. How his power decided ownership he also didn't know. **"Ahhh, whatever."** He said dismissively. As long as he didn't run into anyone he knew, it would probably be fine to run around in his Battle Form. He did look just like a kid really, and kids didn't get judged too much for wearing weird clothes. Also, most of the other students were probably at home by now, so he was probably fine unless they were running as late as he was. Altzer walked to the mouth of the alley he was in, and looked both ways, looking out for anyone who would potentially recognize him. _Good thing my parents went away for a week._ He thought as he looked. _They'd probably have a lot of questions if I came home like this._ The boy didn't notice, but as he ran into the rushing crowds, a mysterious cloaked figure materialized in the alleyway. The figure raised his hand, and an ornate gothic coffin slowly appeared, as if pulled from the very fabric of reality itself by an invisible hand. As the coffin materialized, the figure pulled out a modern smartphone, and seemed to study the screen for a few moments. A few seconds later, the figure put the phone away and proceeded to open the coffin and step inside its dark confines. The coffin closed, and a few seconds it later disappeared the same way it had materialized.

Despite Nettiaya's best efforts to concentrate in class, he simply could not focus. That strange message last night... Who on earth could have sent it? He'd tried replying - demanding further explanation, or even exemption fell the damn thing, yet he'd gotten nothing. It shouldn't really have bothered him - a joke text like that - yet he couldn't get it out of his head. It certainly didn't help that, for whatever unfounded reason, he felt somehow... different. Ever since that message had arrived, he'd felt a niggling change in his own body; as though he'd grown some new muscle that he had yet to flex. How troublesome... Not to mention the fact that, if this entire thing was true, he would shortly be finding himself faced with a violent crop of jumped-up teens, all hell-bent on murdering each other for a wish. How pathetic... It was so typical of his unenlightened peers to ditch their humanity in a quest for power. If not for that stupid colour-tracker app, Nettaiya could have quite happily hidden for the duration of the 'war', watching with a sigh as the other colours tore themselves apart. As it stood, he was in trouble. The moment someone locked onto him, he would be an easy target. He hadn't even found out his powers yet... This was all such a mess yet, somehow, Nettaiya didn't feel at all frightened. If push came to shove and he did find himself targeted by another teen, then he'd be able to think of something; some means of escape. There wasn't a single kid out there who could face up to him strategically - he was a genius after all. Nettaiya tapped his phone through his pocket. The first step would be to locate any colours around him. The next step would be to watch them carefully, noting their abilities and likely weaknesses. Most importantly however, was the third step. To hide amongst the crowd - to cling to groups in order to shield himself. His foes would scarcely be able to pick him out as a target if he hid in a crowded room. Grinning, Nettaiya began to scheme - drawing up plans in his head. Perhaps all this would be fun after all... Provided it was someone else on the front-line, and Nettaiya could watch.

**Lucifer Drag - School** Class 7-A was loud with chatter and horse-playing, the males were scattered and wild. The females were more controlled but they all seemed to concentrate on a singular magazine, on a black haired beauty's desk. The girl swept her hair behind her ear, ignoring the other females that were crowding around to take a look at the school's and Ikebukuro own idol: Luci Drag. She remembered thinking that his name was a bit weird and definitely unfitting for the face it accompanied. Like the picture -all of them were weakened by- he was a dream from a fantasy. He had a certain edge to him but his lure overshadowed it all. She stared intently, almost mesmerized as thoughts swirled of the new arrival. A pudgy girl slid the door open suddenly, drawing everyones attention. She was painted with makeup that went far and beyond subtle charm, now she was just a kindergartners canvas. "He's coming!" she shouted, hurrying to the side of the door, she was pushed a bit as the others joined her, all except the black haired beauty who remained in her seat. Lucifer studied the color tracker app while he walked down the hall. Just in the school alone he was surrounded by five or six of them. He let out a cool breath before pulling a cream sleeve of the uniformed sweater he was forced to wear down a bit. The generic slippers led him to class 7-A without fail but when he opened the door, as usual, he was bombarded. "Luci-san, Luci-san, you did great in the issue." "Not just great. You were amazing," One of them corrected, tightening the circle at the door. He looked pass them and at his seat by the window in the front. One of the girls wrapped her arm around his own forcefully, leaning on him and pushing him to the side a bit. Before he knew it, the irritation of it all was beginning to swell. He hated being pulled around in directions he didn't want to go. With a disgusted sigh, he silenced the girls. The one on his arm refrained from looking at him as he stared at her. "You're all like vultures," he told them in their native language before yanking himself from the girl and heading to his seat. He placed his sack on the desk and pulled out a thin notebook, the black cover was worn and its spine was wrapped in clear tape. He noticed the group of girls travel to the back where the boys were but didn't think much of it. If one couldn't have the original masterpiece, of course they'd go for shoddy copies instead. A minute into his studies and five boys were at his desk, the air became... familiar. A pale hand slammed his notebook shut, laughter rung throughout the class. A freckled boy with curly hair and a brawny build reached out towards his head but he caught him by the wrist. "Aye! let go," shouted the boy as Luci tightened his grip. "Ay! come on!" The boy's shouting aggravated Lucifer more than his bullshit mob. He had wanted nothing more than for this boy to be silent. So much that the fist in his pocket clenched and his face twitched from the affliction. The other boy's all joined in, ready to pounce, and angry. They were like a pride seeing their Alpha getting munched on, quick to come to his rescue but unknowing that they were dealing with a monster. The in his hand yanked with a powerful tug, bringing Luci's chair sliding. "Be still," Luci muttered, but he could hear it wasn't just his voice that resounded, something echoed along side it. Something, authoritative and strong. He stared at the mob and they were all still and quiet. The eerie stares unnerved him into letting the youth's wrist go but that did not keep the girl's from gasping shock. He looked around himself with confusion before facing back to the board. This wasn't the first time something like this happened. The classroom door slid open. "Alright class, shut u-" shouted a older voice. The teacher froze and looked around, suspicion on his face before walking over to the wooden podium. "I'm surprised its quiet," he said, tilting his head to the group of boys. "Go sit down you delinquents. Time to start class." They remained where they were. "Didn't you guys hear me, go!" His shout seemed to have jarred them awake. They scattered from Lucifer's chair before hurrying to their owns. Throughout the class, everyone stared at him with fright in their eyes.

'New Bricks' was a nice home, and better yet, it was nice to finally be home. Shun enjoyed his work, but the work was 18 hours a day, 6 days a week, and there were very few 'luxuries'. Even having a cup of coffee was a rare pleasure. Too many things caused too many problems in his line of work and so they became forbidden. He'd arrived back to Ikebukuro early this morning. He stepped through the front door, threw his duffel bag onto his bed and immediately moved to the bathroom and ran himself a steaming hot bath. He relaxed as soon as he got in and the aches and pains gathered from the last 5 months instantly melted away. He closed his eyes and rested for a while before he noticed the water starting to cool. He got out and dried himself off. In his room he put on his usual attire and climbed out onto the ledge outside his window. He sat on the edge and dangled his legs over the side. His window sat directly over the front door and in the direction of the rising sun. He slipped a small case from out of his breast pocket, popped it open and removed a cigarette. He replaced the small case and brought out his lighter. Using his free hand to cup the end of his cigarette, he ignited the lighter and set his cigarette ablaze before it gently started to burn. He poked the lighter into his pocket and took a long drag on his cigarette. He savoured the smoke in his lungs for a few seconds before releasing it into the air in one long exhale. He cast his gaze over the early morning light spreading across the parts of the city that he could see. A small smile spread across his lips. **"It is good to be home again."** Judging by the emanating noise from behind him, he could only assume that it was time for the others to set off for school and college. He lived with two others. Max was 20, and originally from England, but had now been living in Japan for a few years now and was attending the local College. Yuno, on the other hand, was a local who had become bored living at home and moved out. She was 16 and went to school locally. The landlady was her Aunt and lived next door. **"Mornin' Shun. Back already are we?"** Said a voice from below Shuns legs. It was Max, heading off to College. He was always early, last Shun knew, he was attempting to woo a fellow student who was always early at college for self-study. **"Good morning to you as well, Max. You are up early as usual I see. Tell me, are you still stalking that fair maiden from your class?"** Shun asked with a smirk on his face. Max had now stepped out onto the street and was looking up at Shun. He smiled and waved at his house-mate. Shun nodded in response, his second cigarette hanging from his mouth. Max averted his gaze and scratched his head as he spoke. **"Actually, we've been... uh... dating for a few weeks now... ha.. ha.."** **"Is that right? Well good for you, man. Well, do not keeping her waiting on account of me will you, I will talk to you later. Unless you have something better to do."** Shun winked at Max, who blushed slightly, shook his head and scuttled off. Max was always such a shy boy. By the time Shun had finished his second cigarette he started to wonder where the third house-mate was, although he wasn't too surprised, she was often late for school. His phone rumbled in his pocket. He pulled it out. _Unknown Number._ It said on the front. Which was curious, because Shun rarely got messages as it was, let alone from unknown numbers. After reading it, he chuckled, obviously someone had sent this to the wrong number, there was no way such a joke was meant for Shun. He locked his phone and mused on the message anyway. Last one standing? What the hell did that mean? With that thought in mind, there was suddenly a loud scream from down below. **"Waaaaah!! What the hell!? Shun!? When did you get back? Your legs scared the hell out of me you moron. I'm a kill you."** She said as she tugged on the pair of legs. Shun wriggled his legs free and dropped to the ground and faced the young girl. **"Morning, Yuno. Energetic as always huh? Oh, are you not late for school?"** **"Don't you 'Morning, Yuno' me It's not my fault I'm late there was a cool show on last night and then I slept in and then you and your stupid legs..."** She didn't pause at all in that sentence and suddenly gasped for air. **"Take me to school!"** Shun shrugged and walked down the street toward her school. **"W-wait for me, idiot!"** As they travelled they talked about what they'd been up to over the last few months, although it was mainly Yuno talking. First, because she liked to talk, a lot. And second, Shun didn't really have a lot that he wanted, or even could, say. Shun waved goodbye to the girl as she mingled into a group of other girls who were giggling and pointing at Shun. He shook his head and headed toward the centre of the city. It'd been a long day of browsing around the shops and drinking at his favourite dive, but it was getting late in the day and Shun was now heading back toward home. He turned a corner to find an empty street apart from a small, blue-haired kid in the middle of the road, arms crossed, looking directly at Shun. **"Yo, I've been waiting for you. Let's do this!"**

The room was dark, the only light being a slight peek of sunshine through the closed curtains. Nevertheless, no light touched the teenage girl as she sat with her back in the corner of her room, her knees drawn up to her chest and her hands quivering against her temple. She was still in her red nightgown, even though school was just now being let out, and there was an insistent knocking on her door. “Eri, unlock the door, are you feeling alright?” Her mother’s hazy voice said through the wooden slab and the named Eri’s head snapped up, her red-brown eyes widening. “N-No, please don't come in! I d-don't want to get you sick!" Eri just weakly managed to yell. “Okay.” Then the soft pit-pat of her walking away from the door. Eri let her hands fall from her face and onto her knees, her wrists jerking and the backside of her hand stinging. The mere thought of the pain brought tears to her eyes as they dribbled down her face. Stinging, stinging, stinging. _The body writhed and jolted along the tiles and her mouth stretched with a shuddering tongue slapping against her lips. Screams tore from her throat, awful, mind-numbing screams. She convulsed onto her side, her body shaking and trembling, her head slamming onto the floor multiple times until slight blood was left behind._ “Stop it! Stop it! Stop it!” Eri cried, slapping a fist into the side of her head. Was this her so-called gift? Or was this her punishment for being such a cruel being? For all the pain she caused her friends? She didn’t mean to hurt anyone, she just wanted to have fun, feel exhilarated. _Her legs ached, burned, but she continued running. A shoe slipped off mid-step and she tumbled to the ground, her knees smashing into the concrete of the sidewalk. It stung, badly, but it didn’t matter. She continued running, sprinting, to get away from those agonizing screams, those awful screams._ “I’m sorry. I’m so sorry.” Eri sobbed, rubbing furiously at her eyes. When she removed her hands and lifted her head to lean against the wall, she saw something glitter with the only beam of light in the room. Her cellphone. She rushed towards it, on hands and knees, tripping and falling multiple times, until she scrabbled to her nightstand, her scratched up knee bumping into the leg. She fumbled with her phone before turning it on and entering her passcode. The home page came up and she scrolled through her apps, searching and searching until she saw an app with a girl’s face on it. _“Help! Help! Somebody help – my friend, she’s hurt, something happened! I don’t – I…”_ Eri breathed heavily through her nose, willing her thumb to move but it remained motionless, poised over the simple square. _“It’ll be okay, Kotone, he’s not worth it.”_ Her finger slammed into the button on the top and the screen went black. _“Kotone, don’t cry.” She said as she rubbed her hand across her back. It felt odd on her hand, tingled, but she would always be there for her friends. Even if she caused the pain, she would soothe it. _

**"Ah, damn it."** Altzer said as he looked at the approaching figure. **"My luck is terrible today."** A menacing cloaked figure had suddenly appeared out of nowhere, and now some kind of gothic style coffin was appearing out of thin air. Altzer took out his phone and tapped on the icon that said 'Colour Tracker', and sure enough, the person in front of him was also a Colour. Across from Altzer's white dot, was a black dot. _I'm repeating myself a lot too._ He said to himself as his thoughts drifted to some minutes beforehand... --- _**Some amount of minutes beforehand...**_ **"Ah, damn it."** Altzer said at the scenery from his position on the park bench. **"My luck is terrible today."** He should've been home by now. Instead, he'd been wandering around for the past 2 hours, with practically no results to show for it. _Well, I guess I've reached that park I new was near my house_ He thought. _But I don't remember how to get back home from here..._ It was quite a nice park, he supposed. The trees and the lawn seemed to be well kept. There weren't too many people around, and there were even a few dogs around, all wagging their tails excitedly. But he didn't share their enthusiasm, he was tired now, all that running around was taking its toll. And he was hungry as well. _Dinner tonight is spaghetti too..._ He thought, his mouth drooling. He loved spaghetti, especially his mother's spaghetti. Even though his parents were away for the week, they'd put enough food in the fridge for him to survive on his own, and they'd given him some extra money in case something happened. _Wait, can't I just ask someone where my apartment is?_ Of course! Why hadn't he thought that before? Looking up excitedly, he saw a lady with dogs that looked like she knew where she was going he could ask. And since he looked like a young impressionable child, he was sure that the she wouldn't mind him asking questions. He jumped up from the bench and jogged towards the lady. **"Excuse me obaa-san, but can you give me directions to-..."** He trailed off. Then he realized the major flaw in his new plan. He had no idea what the name of his apartment building was. He had been told it once, but he'd forgotten because it had never been important... **"It- It's uh, a- an, apartment building..."** He stammered. The dogs the lady was walking started to sniff him interestedly. **"It's supposed to be nearby somewhere, but I don't know where it is..."** He continued. Looking up at the woman, he added: **"Can you help me find it?"** He put on the best puppy eyes he could, then he said: **"Please...?"** The lady hesitated for a second, before stooping down, the dogs parting before her and putting on a kindly smile. "There's only one apartment building near here, and it's just over there." She said, pointing down towards the north. "Just go down that street and take the first turn on your left." **"Thanks obaa-san!"** Altzer said over his shoulder as he started off at a run. Waving at her, he looked back forward as he ran towards the street. _Looks like I'll be back in time to enjoy my spaghetti!_ He thought joyfully. --- **_Current time..._** _Looks like I won't be getting to enjoy my spaghetti tonight._ He thought sadly. As he looked, the figure in front of him thrust his hand through the lid of the conjured coffin as if it weren't there, and proceeded to slowly pull a giant blood stained scythe from it as if he were death himself. _Wait, isn't he one of those serial killers that's been on the news recently?_ He suddenly thought, _If I'm not mistaken, he's the Coffin Reaper..._ Even with that revelation, it didn't help him any. No one knew much about the Coffin Reaper, especially not how he fought. _And just in front of my apartment too..._ Fighting him would be dangerous. He didn't know what he was capable of, and he was supposedly a mass murderer, meaning he was probably good at killing people. On the other hand, if Altzer ran away he didn't have anywhere to go. They were right in front of his house, which meant he would probably know if Altzer ran away and came back later. _Fighting him might be the better option here._ Altzer thought, _Because he doesn't know what I'm capable of either._ With that thought in his mind, he broke into a charge, straight at the Coffin Reaper.

--- **Early Morning at the Bristol Home** --- The living room was dark and eerily quiet except for the faint glow of a muted TV near the far corner. In front of that TV, laying on the sofa, was a middle aged woman who was half asleep. On the coffee table in front of her was a silver ash tray and an empty bottle of spirits accompanying. She sat there staring at the TV when a subtle creaking sound occurred behind her revealing a second source of light from the doorway. "I'm heading off to school, mum," a gentle voice called out from a distance. "Before youu gooo, caan you bring me a drin-k..." a slurred voice replied as Lexie's mother repositioned herself in the seat to drunkenly reach over and grab a packet of cigarettes. "I'm still waiting," she called out again noticing that Lexie hadn't moved at all. "Mum... It's 7am and I need to go to scho..." "You think you're sooo damn smart, going to school and getting those 'perfect' grades... But I am your MOTHER and asked you to do something," at that moment Lexie's mother fumbled her hand over to the bottle before picking it up and flipping it over towards the door. The door quickly slammed shut as the sound of a shattering bottle echoed throughout the household. Lexie, feeling distraught, dropped to her knees as she felt a violent surge of power flow through her body. From the way her mother treated her she should have been used to it by now, but this was a regular occurrence and it affected her every time. However this time she felt like throwing up. The skin on her arms tightened as it began to split open and reveal a grey, dry but simultaneously moist flesh underneath. Her mouth extended it's opening like a boa constrictor and attempted to turn her body almost inside out. In spite of what her body was doing and how her mind began to panic, her body soon began to relax as it realised there was no immediate threat. She felt her sickness fade and watched as the cancroid like flesh disappeared beneath her skin, leaving a young teenager with a very bad case of perspiration and rapid breathing. _"...they also have powers based of a major trait of their personality..."_ "Powers? What kind of power is this?!" she whispered to herself as she reached over towards her school bag and pulled it closer to herself, "I need to find out what's happening to 'us', and why?" --- **Later at School, Class 7-A** --- "Be still." The words created a silence that could cause a mime to think they lost their hearing. A silence that was broken by a teacher barking orders at naughty students who seemly forgot who was truly in charge of the class. Lexie sat in her chair towards the back corner of the room watching the other students walking away from Lucifer. Her seat was in a position that allowed her to view everyone but mostly to avoid getting things thrown at her from behind, similar to what happened in her younger years. She had her pencil case propped open with her phone sitting inside displaying a list of colours in the local area trying to work out how to read the map. "Lexie? Do you understand this map?" a voice secretly enquired from next to her. "Huh? You mean the app?" she replied without thinking properly. "What? No! I'm talking about the assignment he gave us last week," the girl next to her gave Lexie a funny look as if to think she was some kind of idiot. "You know, the environmental pollution in our local city?" "Oh, I haven't had a chance to look at..." Lexie's whispers were cut off by the bellow of the teacher up the front of the class calling for the class to remain quiet. She looked forward noting that the teacher hadn't even made the effort to turn away from writing on the board at the front of the room.

**Lucifer Drag - After School - Courtyard** Class was over, his notes were perfectly scribbled in his notebook, and he had once again hurt the emotions of the Ikebukuro Academy fangirls. It seemed like nowadays they only got more ravenous and desperate, going as far as blocking entire halls just to get a glance at him. Even now, as he passed the cherry blossom trees of the yard and headed towards the school's guard fence, he could hear their giggles. He paused his steps, his hand falling to his side deliberately, a doll-like girl with silver hair and purple eyes waiting for him. He could tell by her meaningful stare at him, though he didn't know what she wanted yet. He slid his phone into his pocket, his shoulder holding his gym bag, his lips were in their eternal line of purgatory. The little girl pushed herself off the fence and smirked, a sly little smile that told him she was up to no good. "You should be very ashame of yourself monkey," he called her in a tiny voice. "I've been trying to get to you all day but your blind zealots have been blocking my path at every turn." Her gaze fell into something sinister. "You should be more available for "The Ruler o-"." "Not my problem," he cut in slow and harsh. "... Its going to be your problem soon enough." She walked towards him, leaving a 2 meter wide space between them. "Threats? well that's a new method of getting my attention." "Method of what? its been around for ages my dear monkey. I'm spelling out your demise for you afterall. This game is kill or die and I don't plan on dying," Lucifer's brow twitched at the repeated insult. His temperament was quick but slowly the girls around this school was making it more and more into a hair-trigger. "I'm not playing the game," he told her coolly, readjusting his strap and starting to walk off. "I'm leaving now." It only took one step for his world to be turned into darkness. Luci looked around, length or time was inconceivable, the shroud of black overtook everything but the small circular light underneath his feet. _The fuck is this?_ he thought to himself as he looked towards the sound of small footsteps heading to him. _Bullshit,_ he uttered in his mind. There was no way... The girl stepped into view so close that he frowned, her small hand grabbed the line of his jacket as she pulled herself into his torso. She giggled lightly, her head nestled onto his slim stomach. "I'm Hagoro Shana and "I'm the Rule of Hell". Witness true and frightening strength, monkey idol of Ikebukuro!" Those words hit the floor like bricks as her skin became bruised purple, three wings sprouted from her left side, and six pink orbs took the place of her eyes- three on each side. "PREPARE TO BE MINE!" A fearful breath left his lips. _A-A d-demon!_, though his voice echoed in the dark realm. "Demon? Hehe, I just told you I'm the ruler!"

School Libary
After class Lexie made her way to the library in order to do a bit of research and try to figure out what was happening to her and what this whole "death match" was all about. Sitting there at one of the computers she opened up the school student records and typed in the name 'Mirurun-chuan'. <No results found> "Go figure," she snorted as she realised that searching for a possible alias was going to yield less results than trying to win the lottery. Having a change of thought she opened the Library index program and did a small search on material containing shape-shifting, before finding a few that were available at the time. After scribbling the locations down on some scrap paper, she lifted herself out of the chair and began to walk the towering aisles checking off each location. As she got to a new book she would pull it out and flick through the pages, checking to see if it was what she was looking for, before placing it back and moving on to the next book on the list. "WHAT YA LOOKING FOR?!" a voice shot out from the aisle next door when Lexie pulled out her next book and was greeted by a face creeping from through the bookcase. She quickly screeched and dropped the book she was holding on the ground before realising who it was. "Akio! That was not funny!" she snapped as she reached down to pick up the book and held it close to her chest. "Oh come on. I know you enough to know that when you're not at the cafeteria there's something bothering you." He spoke as he followed her to the end of the aisle and over to one of the unoccupied tables. She sat down in the chair but he decided to sit on the corner of the table and use the seat next to her as a footrest. Akio was tall and lean, couple of years older than Lexie and had a street/grunge look to him. Also being 18 he decided to cover his torso in a large black dragon tattoo which could be faintly visible under his shirt. The only reason why he was still at the school was because he helped out with the martial arts gym class. "It's nothing," she finally replied, "Just doing a little history homework." She looked over at him through the corner of her eye and noticed him pulling out his phone and looking at the screen. "Suit yourself. Hey? Did you still wanna catch up this afternoon after school?" Noticing that he didn't even flick a look at her she softly replied, "Sure", before seeing him leap up to his feet and saying his goodbyes for the time being.

As Altzer charged, he could feel his heart pounding. Strangely enough however, he was a lot calmer than he thought he would be. Part of him had known that some day it would come to this but it's not like he hadn't been expecting it would come so soon. As the figure in front of him raised his scythe, Altzer realized that very soon, this kind of thing might become an everyday occurence. As long as he was a Colour, there was always the hazard of an attack. When his parents came back, it would probably be a good idea for Altzer to stay as far away from them as possible. Altzer snapped back to reality as the figure in front of him raised his hand in a strange gesture. Suddenly, he felt his back foot rise suddenly, but only slightly. Another step before he fully comprehended what had happened, and suddenly he heard something heavy slam shut behind him. He looked back for a second, and saw nothing. What the- His thoughts were interrupted again as at the edge of his vision, he saw the blade of the blood-stained scythe bearing down on him. Without hesitating for a second, he quickly jumped forward and ducked into a roll, the scythe whistling over his head. The figure was a lot closer than he had previously thought... Wait. He wasn't. Getting up from his roll, he decided to put some distance between him and the Reaper so he started running towards the Coffin that was still in the hallway. He was sure the Figure had been next to the coffin just a second ago, now he was right next to him. How had he gotten so close without him realizing it? Does that mean he can teleport? If he can, then what was that sound before all about? Regardless of how he did it, Altzer had to get away from him. For some reason, the Reaper didn't seem too adamant about chasing him. He only seemed to be slow-walking towards Altzer as he ran. Suddenly, Altzer ran into something hard. The impact knocked him off balance, and he had to flail his arms to keep upright. What the?! There didn't seem to be anything in front of him, but there was some kind of invisible barrier in front of him he couldn't go through. What is this guy's power?! Having no other choice, Altzer turned to face the Reaper. Looks like I can't run from this. Suddenly, he a solid surface on his back, and again when he looked there was nothing there. Then he heard a slamming sound, just like before, except now it was in front of him. Then it clicked. He was in some kind of invisible cage, and now the door was closed. Figuring it out wasn't helping him any though, because now the he was trapped and the Reaper could take all the time he wanted to kill him. Altzer pounded his fist on the surface in front of him, and it felt exactly like thick wood. Perhaps it was breakable, but Altzer didn't have the strength for that kind of thing. He could only watch helplessly as the Reaper slowly reached Altzer's position, and started to raise his scythe for the kill. Then Altzer had a realization. Wait, if I can see, light can go through this! Without waiting another second, he quickly turned into his photon form, delivering a huge flash of light directly into the Reaper's eyes. As he hurtled forward, he finally had some time to think. As his photon form surged forward and the main mass bounced off of the Reaper, he couldn't help but notice that his perception of time in his Photon Form was variable. Sometimes he thought faster than other times, but he wasn't really sure how it worked. He was sure however, that it didn't exactly matter right at this moment. As he sailed past the large coffin he could see, he knew what he had to do. He turned back into his physical form, and stopped momentarily to see that the Reaper was clutching his eyes, clearly blinded by Altzer's flash. Turning to the left, he ran towards the railing and vaulted over it, and into the emptiness beyond. Quickly switching into his photon form, he directed the initial burst upwards, and sailed towards the roof. His 'light sense' only travelled as fast as his main mass did, but it didn't matter so much for this. His speed of thought seemed to be much slower than usual this time around for whatever reason. Turning back into his physical form just as he was over the edge of the rooftop, he unexpectedly continued to move forward, as if his momentum from his Photon Form had carried over to his physical form. Regardless, the specifics of his powers were currently the least of his worries. I have to get out of the Colour Tracker's range, He thought. I have to find somewhere else to stay for the night, and I really am hungry now. He ran across the roof as fast as he could, breathing hard. He used the edge of the rooftop as a stepping stone to launch himself into the air again as he turned back into Photon Form. All I wanted was my spaghetti...

Ryousei's Clubroom
"Cris! Not yet!?" Ryousei asked, worry clear in his face. His grasp was tight on the back of Kurisu's chair, as the girl tapped furiously in her keyboard, sometimes the keys pushing themselves without her interferance. Behind them, Jouichirou was petting Koume, Kurisu's little sister, while she sat on his lap. Still, Jouichirou seemed worried. "I'm almost there! It's even harder with some of them engaging in battle!" The blonde girl said her eyes moving at an uncanny speed through the monitor. "Hurry up, then! We can't lose them, not in their first day!" Ryousei said, slamming his fist on a table nearby. "I'm on it, Ryousei! If you want to save them so badly, then try and do it yourself!" "That's why you are here for, isn't it?!" Kurisu was about to answer again when someone interrupted them. "Enough! We won't get anywhere if we keep fighting between us! Ryousei-senpai, why don't you let Kurisu-senpai finish her work and lay down for a bit?" Jouichirou said, ending the quarrel between the two. Silence ensued, as Ryousei bit his lip, doubtful of what he should do now, that he lost his cool. Kurisu's voice was heard after a while of tappings that only made the mood grow more awkward. "Finished. You better thank me, stupid Ryou." The girl said, after letting out a relieved sigh. "You can do it now, it'll most probably reach them now." "Great... Thank you, Cris, Kyojin. I'm sorry if I lost my cool there for a second." Both of them nod at their bewildered president. Ryousei takes his phone out and starts tapping away a message for all of the new Colors out there, fighting or not.
Attention, Everyone If you are now part of this madness, we can help you. If you ever need help, don't hesitate to call us or mail us we will always rush out to you. When you are able, come to the direction attached to this message, this is where we are. We are all Colors, just like you, and we must help each other. Ryousei.
He sent out his message, along with a map indicating their location. He looked at his phone, grasping it tightly in his hand, before turning around. "Kyojin! Prepare to set out, we don't know if these Rookies will need our help!" Jouichirou nodded. "I just hope they can see this in time."

BUZZ. BUZZ. BUZZ. Eri lifted her head up, her eyes peering darkly over her arms as she saw her phone vibrating out of control. She bared her teeth in anguish and half-crawled half-limped towards the phone, picking it up with clenching fingers and swiping it on.
Attention, Everyone If you are now part of this madness, we can help you. If you ever need help, don't hesitate to call us or mail us we will always rush out to you. When you are able, come to the direction attached to this message, this is where we are. We are all Colors, just like you, and we must help each other. Ryousei.
She needed help, but would these people really help her? Or is it a trap to lure Colors to their deaths? Surely it was a trap. What else could it be? Who in their right mind would try to fight this dangerous system? It was too much of a risk. She couldn’t trust them. No, Eri was much safer in this room…alone, in the dark, forever. Eri closed her eyes and breathed in tightly to prevent the tears that beckoned her. To prevent the sadness that wished to overwhelm her, already has overwhelm her. And suddenly the walls were spinning and she was reaching for the wall, dry heaving as there was nothing in her stomach and memories of the awful, awful screams resounded in her head. “I can’t, I can’t.” Eri gasped, gripping her head until it left small fingernail indents. BOOM. BOOM. BOOM Someone is banging on her door, calling her name – “Eri, Eri, Eri” – and it was all too much. Tears exploded down her face, torrents that threatened to drown her and she couldn’t breathe. Her lungs were shriveling and Eri clasped her eyes shut, the pressure on her eyeballs hurting. This pain couldn’t compare to what Kotone had felt – maybe she deserved it, she deserved pain and death and blood and this horrible twisting in her gut. Eri wanted to be swallowed up by the earth, to not be real, be human anymore. She didn’t want to die, but she wanted to stop existing – does that make sense? Is Eri being rational? No, no, no. Stop thinking, Eri. Stop, stop, stop. “Eri, sweetie, Kotone called.” Eri’s eyes widened and her gasps halted. “She wants you to visit her in the hospital.” The tears stopped flowing, but a horror replaced it and a sick feeling followed. “I think you should go…and maybe you could talk to somebody?” Therapy? Eri wasn’t crazy, no, no, no. Eri was fine. She was fine. Right? Right? “Come on out, sweetie. I’ll take you there.” She doesn’t want to go! Can’t go! Can’t go! … “Okay, mom.”
Eri never liked hospitals. It was always too white for her, too bright, too pristine. And the smell, the smell was the worst. It was a mixture of anesthetics and old people – Eri hated the smell of the elderly. It reminded her of her fate. To shrivel up like a prune. Eri shuffled through the halls, her hands burrowed in her jacket’s pocket and she periodically glanced at the door numbers. …102… …103… …104… 105!!! Here it is. Eri needs to steel herself – she takes in deep breaths, trying to quell the storm in her stomach, and prematurely opens the door. BANG. The door slams against the wall and Eri winced, she didn’t mean to hit it so hard. She scans the room and breathes a sigh of relief – Kotone is sleeping soundly. Almost like a creeping shadow, Eri slinks forward and hovers over her best friend of which she has caused so much pain. Pain, pain, pain. The tears threaten her with their crystalline fragility and Eri bites her hand to keep them at bay. Almost as if her tears are compensating, words pour out of her mouth like Niagra Falls. “I’m so sorry, Kotone. This is all my fault. I didn’t…I didn’t mean to hurt you. Emotionally or physically. I just…wanted to have fun. I’m so sorry.” Eri got onto her knees and held a limp, sleeping hand close to her face. “Mm…E..ri…” By the time Kotone opened her eyes, Eri was gone.
Eri glanced down at the phone in her hands and huffed, the sound ripping her throat that had become sensitive from a day of crying. So this is the place, the place where this Ryousai is supposed to help her. Great. It could be a trap. But Eri didn’t care anymore. She opened the door and strutted into it, gathering the bravado she had before she had…pain, pain, pain.

--- School Library --- A hazed world came into view as Lexie slowly opened her eyes and tried to focus on what was causing the annoying, vibrating sound. Moving slowly she twisted her head, rolling her chin on the table until she could see her mobile phone. The LED light was glowing as she reached out for it, picked it up and took a glance at the screen. <1 New Message> "Akio?" she thought as she opened the message only to discover that it was from a new source, Ryousei. She sneered at the message noticing the part that mentioned 'helping each other'. "Yeah right... Of course you want to help me!" she texted back while speaking out in a snarly attitude. Her thumb hit the send button and she slammed her phone back down on the table, remembering all the times people offered to help only to lead her on an unwanted trip that would leave her ridiculed and/or embarrassed. She dropped her head back down onto the table feeling this sick feeling grow inside her gut and her skin go numb. Her breathing began to increase when the sound of the phone vibrating again could be heard. A nauseous feeling filled her as she made the terrifying trek back to her handset to see what this new reply was. <Where are you? - Akio> She saw the message and was a bit confused before taking a look at her watch to notice that it was almost 5pm. "Holy Crap!" she cursed as she sprung to life off the chair, grabbing her bag, throwing it over her shoulder and dashing out of the library leaving all the books she was looking at still on the table and taking a full disregard for returning them to the shelves. She left the library to head off to their usual meeting point when a man stepped out from behind one of the bookcases and slowly walked over to the table before picking up one of the exposed books and analysing the displayed contents. He turned around and leaned back against the table edge to take the weight off from his feet while he flicked through the next few pages and inspected a bit more. A small chime could be heard as he reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone to read the new message. <On my way. - Lexie>

I think I've lost him. Altzer thought as he looked from around the corner of his alleway. His phone was in his hand with the colour tracker on. He couldn't see the Reaper's black dot anywhere near him so he was safe for now. Still, it wasn't exactly safe to go home. Having a serial killer know where you were living wasn't the best thing in the world after all. It was getting late, it was about 5-ish. He really needed to do something about his situation. I don't have anywhere to go though... Suddenly his phone buzzed in his hand. He looked down and he saw that he'd gotten a new message. After reading it, he was pleasantly surprised. Well, that certainly is convenient. He thought. Actually, it could be trap. Either way, Altzer did sort of need the help. He didn't want to risk going back home and he was still hungry. If it was a trap. Altzer could probably run away. His power was great for running away after all, he doubted that there was anyone else who could move at the speed of light. Actually, I read somewhere that you can slow down light to something like 38 miles per hour... He thought. But no one runs that fast either. Opening the attached directions, Altzer got up, dusted himself down and set off.
