what the lead singer did has no consequence on the music made, especially since he didn't make the music alone.

Just kinda irks me when people are like "oh he molested a baby, i hate that song now." It's kind of like an exercize done in my english class. He showed us a painting and the kids were like it's pretty but then after he mentioned it was by hitler, came the frowns. I don't think music should have a connotation, that's why i especially like daft punk or the gorillaz because if you don't delve deep you don't know the people behind the genius. I went off on a rant but meh

Usually I can handle that kind of thing, especially since I listen to Michael Jackson and few other things like that. This one though was just hard to swallow.

So... did I just kill whatever momentum this RP had with this talk or something? COME ON PEOPLE.

MJ is different because he never touched those kids. I digress though, the point of that is i like what music i like.

Momentum was dead long before you inquired about my sig though.

You don't all have to get into it. I can set up the "episode" and introduce the girl in the red shirt, or the boy with wild hair and we can go from there with a school scene. I'll post something later tnight either way to get us moving forward....

I'm sorry, but after the repeated hiccups in getting started it's made it very difficult for me to maintain a necessary level of buy in.

I tried setting up everybody who hadn't got a post in yet, basically just a generic high school scene with our teacher having the original Green Ranger's real life alias as our teacher. Our librarian will be based on the Blue Ranger, and the dead guy in the garage was the original Red Ranger's replacement Rocky but I couldn't remember his real name. None of them will have any huge impact on the story, I'm just visualizing those actors in the secondary roles.

Anyone could be skipping lunch to go and help the future blue ranger, if not I'll have my green come in and save the day. Trying to decide if he's gonna morph in front of the kid or not, afterwards the boy would know what to do to activate his power coin....

Um... I kind of don't feel all that comfortable with you randomly killing off the original heroes just to make way for our characters, honestly... Wouldn't it be better to just act like they didn't exist in the first place?

They didn't, I'm just using the names for secondary characters. Tommy Oliver won't be a teacher for example, but the other 5 aliases will be as well as the actor who played Tommy still being our teacher Mr. Frank. Ms. Hart [Kimberly] will be in her 30's and coaching cheerleading and American History. Zack will be the gym coach, no idea what I'll do with Trini... maybe lunch lady? LOL

I'd also like to reintroduce Bulk and Skull as class dumbasses. Any of you guys could do that for me since my guy's already out of high school.

Right, I see... Just found the thought a little distressing, is all. ^^; I grew up watching the show, and the thought of one of the rangers being murdered like that is just... >.< Sorry.

...Will try and figure out a first post at some point. Just going through kind of a slump lately.

I think a quick death was better for Rocky than what I read was supposed to happen in the context of the series and Tommy Oliver being the greatest Ranger of all time. I read at some point a restaurant was introduced with a Bulk theme and that he was the owner, but deleted scenes had Tommy as the owner with a mention of Kat as his wife and Rocky as his man-servant/butler. Although the thought of a pair of Rangers going at it on their own without a team is intriguing.... just not with one being both a Robin/Alfred character.

I believe you're referring to what happened in Forever Red, the tenth anniversary special. In the broadcast episode Bulk and Skull own a poolside bar that Tommy happens to be at when the call comes down. The "Rocky as Tommy's butler" thing never actually happened, as while Steve Cardenas had agreed to appear in the episode, scheduling conflicts (he was moving house at the time) got in the way, although there was also a contingency for him to use the Red Power Coin if Austin St. John couldn't make filming.

Um... What, um...

...Sorry, but if you think "murdered in a garage" is a better fate than "ends up working for Tommy" then... I mean this was my childhood, and I'm honestly not sure if I should really be in this if this is the kind of stance you're taking.

I read it as man-servant in the link I'd stumbled upon, and if it makes anybody happier I was editing posts earlier today and don't mind changing it to Steve instead of Rocky. I goofed and thought I had the original Red Ranger's actor as our teacher then saw it was Tommy's. And for some reason I thought David Yost's last name was Young? Anyway I'm making edits now so everybody calm down for a bit.

This makes much more sense. The links I'd stumbled upon seemed a little opinionated in some of the story breakdowns and I don't remember a lot of the things going down the way I remembered watching them with my son a few months back. We watched the entire original show all the way up to the White Ranger showing up. Rocky's character being around as a buddy of Tommy's in case Jason couldn't show up was a genius back up plan, but I'm glad Jason showed up LOL
