Kijani gave him a long look, one that was clearly puzzled but trying to work through it. Apparently, she gave up after several moments. "Well, turn around then. I need to change my shirt." She strode to her closet and made sure Connor wasn't looking before she stripped off the damp clothing and tossed it into the hamper. Pulling a shirt at random, she put it on and sighed, rubbing her hand across her face. Why hadn't the pills worked properly? Maybe she needed a higher dose or something.
Now that she was decent, she joined Connor's side, leaning against him. "I wish you wouldn't skip class for me." Because of her weakness. "But I'll admit, it is nice to have you here." She smiled and gently kissed his cheek. Softly, she inhaled his scent. He always had a sort of smell about him. Not really cologne or even soap, nothing like bo. Just sort of... Connor-smell. She wondered if this was a normal thing, but really had no one to ask. Maybe she'd research it.
Snatching up her laptop, she booted it and typed in her long password. There was an email waiting, and she opened it reflexively, not really paying attention. Her brow furrowed as she started to read. Slowly, her eyes got wider and wider, the color slowly fading from her face. Even so, she couldn't stop reading. Seeming to hit the end of it, she blinked several times, and then wordlessly shut the laptop down.
"Hey, Connor... I really feel like getting a smoothie or... some juice or something. Come with me?"
