I have my final conclusion! Time to have a what if scenario Appearence: Height: 6'2, Weight: ??? Name: Gray Lalunebleu Age: 17 Gender: Male Emblem: A blue falcate moon with a blue rose hanging from its tips like a star. Specialty: When in battle, Gray keeps a keen eye on his teammates to see how they are faring. His top priority is usually their safety over the mission, and usually puts that first no matter what the cost. He acts considerably different in battle, as he becomes even more ruthless due to precision striking and timing of his attacks. He can also be considered an all-arounder in battle due to his impressive ability to cover almost any type of situation thanks to his knowledge and insanely high skill. He often at times doesn't give up, and will keep pushing himself until he knows the end result won't change. Gray can also be considered a battlefield tactician, able to come up with ideas on the spot and change course if something doesn't go as planned. He also keeps a cool head to avoid being taken advantage of by the enemy. When in battle, Penumbra Gray becomes much more ruthless than Gray Iin battle, and holds a much colder tone than usual. He keeps a keen eye on his enemies, prioritizing the biggest threats out of all of them, and using whatever he can to destroyed them. Unlike Gray (Semblence) and Umbra Gray, Penumbra Gray often distances himself away from the enemy, firing highly accurate shots to bring down the enemy. He capitalizes more on priorities rather than showing off in battle, caring only that the mission at hand is completed. He often makes recommendations to Gray about what he should do, and listens to Grays commands more than Umbra Gray. He himself is sometimes forced to deal with Umbra Gray in battle so he can get him refocused at the task at hand. When in battle unlike acting more ruthless than usual, he acts laidback, and taunts his enemies. In battle he prioritizes keeping his friends safe much like Gray, but takes a much closer focus on protecting ladies. Umbra Gray often acts more show offy in his moves, and can become filled with well earned hubris in battle. He can unleasing devastating, but reckless dust filled strikes or regular strikes that can deal horrible pain to an enemy. He prefers to do his own thing in battle much to Penumbra Gray and Grays chagrin. He does still listen to them most of the time, and often comments on how the other two are doing. When actually being beaten, he ends up becoming a bit more serious in battle, and begins to closely act like Gray until the enemy that actually is managing to beat him falls. He then reverts back to his regular state, and strangely doesn't gloat over his victory when beating the one who managed to outdo him. Race: Human Personality: Gray has a rather carefree and laidback personality, and often has a smile plastered on his face. He has a generally friendly disposition towards anyone unless they generally irritate the boy in some fashion. He loves hanging around other people, and often indulging himself in knowledge. He also shows strange ways of enjoy in himself, through weapons, reading, and sometimes careless stunts. He does hold a serious and caring side to him, often coming to the need of his friends when they need it, and often going to leaps and bounds to help them. He also feels that he has no time to deal with people that are considered close minded, and often gets annoyed when they don't try and see it from another perspective. He can also be considered dense at times as Umbra Gray states. He didn't know that Gray didn't see the fact that Robin had a crush on him, and became rather irritated that he didn't take the leap for trying to gain a relationship with her. He even points out that Gray loved her since he knew full well himself that Gray was truly like. He can also become obsessive over something that drives him crazy, and if not dealt with can lead to some very poor choices. Gray also loves to talk about weapons, and can reach a point where he starts to nerd out over weapons. He is also extremely passionate about painting, and is an extremely skilled artist, as he is able to paint things with very careful, and intricate details. He also loves blue roses for some reason. Penumbra Gray is a rather quiet, shy, and stoic individuals of the trio. He acts very mature at all times, and very rarely cracks a joke. He has a rather dry taste in humor and rarely gets any jokes thrown his way. His serious demeanor is often considered frightening, and scares most people away. Penumbra Gray often is seen observing other than jumping into the fray, watching when and how to capitalize on opportunities not pertaining to fighting. Despite all of this, he has a rather soft , caring side like Gray, and often does his best to act considerate as the original Gray. He also is very she around girls, and can often be seen with a light blush around his cheeks when talking to one. Penumbra Gray begins to fumble over words and blush profusely when a girl often speaks to him in a flirty tone, or touches him in general. When this happens, he opts to try and get away, and ends up looking like a fool due to acting like a klutz when trying to leave the vicinity. Umbra Gray is a more outgoing version of Gray, and acts refined in a gentlemanly way, despite the way he acts sometimes. Umbra Gray flirts with almost anyone he finds beautiful when he gets the chance, and often acts cool around other people, including women unlike his Penumbra counterpart. He can often come off as arrogant at times, and can sometimes directly insult someone if he feels like they deserve it. He is also considered a bit of a pervert, as he performs rather ungentlemanly acts when given the chance. He will also perform actions which make him look like a klutz, despite how graceful he actually is. Despite this, he still has a quick wit, and doesn't rely mainly on charm to get his way. If he has to slither like a snake to get what he wants he will perform such things. Even with his fallbacks, he often regrets some of the things he does, and acts more friendly when you catch him in the right mood. The reason he acts all cocky is mainly because he is unsure of himself, and is very insecure about himself and abilities. Weapons: [Scythe/Melee Mode] Link to the Crossbow just in case image isn't working [Crossbow/Ranged Mode] [Dual Swords/Magic Mode] Lunar Edge; also known as a High-Powered Dual Dust Crossbow Sword Scythe, abbreviated to HPDDCSS The Lunar Edge is Grays choice of weapon due to the fact that it was his first personal weapon that he built after gaining his two other personalities. Its main mode is a scythe like object which can be considered a rather dangerous weapons in the hands of Gray due to his mild obsession with learning how to use his weapon, and its main mode. Depending on what dust he is using with the scythe, he can create a sort of elemental shield of sorts by spinning the scythe in front of him. Depending on the light intensity of a place can affect the overall strength of the weapon. If in a well lit, generally bright place, the strength of this weapons mode won't change. However, during the night or in a place filled up mostly to the brim with darkness, this weapon will emit a low hum before glowing like the moon in the sky above. This causes the weapons mode strength to be more devastating to enemies, and can sometimes let out what he would like to call Slivers of the Moon. This causes what looks to be a glowing moon fragments shoot out forward at the enemy that are in the shape of a crescent. These slivers can only travel so far, and the farther they go, the less damage they deal. The next form of attack is its crossbow mode. This mode can only be used if Gray has any dust on him. Due to being conservative, he still needs a little more work on this mode, but he is mastering it rather quickly. Depending on what type of due he has will result in an specific dusts element shaped like an arrow. He can also overload when only when using the element of wind. This causes Gray to be propeled in the opposite direction at rather swift speed. If he runs into something, it will cause massive damage to the enemy and will also harm Gray himself. When using wind, he can't deal damage, but can use this as a method of traveling through the air. All he needs to do to keep flying is keeping his hand on the trigger. The final form of Lunar Edge is its dual sword mode. This weapon can be formed without combining the two carry mode pieces together. However, due to a few problems with the weapon when dual wielding, he can't really properly defend himself. Gray can easily wield one of these at a time, but it won't hurt as much when using both at the same time. This weapon can use two types of dust at the same time without having to switch, making for some interesting and devastating combos. (Note - Despite the picture showing one sword, there are actually two icly.) When in carry mode, it switches into two small sheathes that look to be rather thin in appearance. These two items can easily clip onto the boys pants, or belt. Aura Color: Gray mainly. Can sometimes turn white or black depending on the circumstances of his current personality. Semblence: Gray is able to clone himself us in his semblence, creating another version of him as a result of his personality. He is able to split up due to this and enables him to help any of his allies with his aura and abilities. This allows him to cover a wide range of weaknesses, and allows him to use different tactics to survive a battle. When his aura is being used by any of the Grays, the weary effects you get from using it affects all each Gray. Also, the main Gray can give mental commands to the other three and can switch his view to see what the other two are up to. This can give him a certain advantage in myriads of situations depending on positioning. Each Gray gets a certain "buff" as I would like to say when fighting. The Original Gray gets a major buff to his defense and attack, allowing him deal huge amounts of damage while taking insane amounts of damage. OG also gets a minor boost to speed which makes him a bit faster. Penumbra/Black Gray gets a major buff to speed and attack which allows him to swiftly move across the battlefield at insane speeds and deal huge amounts of damage. P/BG also gets a minor boost to defense, which makes him a little tougher. Umbra/White Gray gets a major buff to attack and speed which allows him to swiftly move across the battlefield at insane speeds and deal huge amounts of damage. U/WG also gets a minor boost to defense which makes him a little tougher. Even though they're all considered to be clones, they can also feel the same pain and struggle of each other. If one of them gets hurt, the other two will feel harm as well. However, as long as the main Gray stays alive, they should all be able to survive. Another weakness is they can often do their own thing since all three of them have minds of their own. They have their own personalities, strengths, weaknesses, etc. Gray can only have two clones alive at the same time. If he repeatedly remakes clones within a short period of time, it would tire him out as if he was using aura. Another weakness is they can only wield one weapon. They can't have their weapons switch over with the mechanism, and are forced to use the weapon they are wielding until the semblence is over. Original Gray wields a Scythe and has the clothes you see in his picture. Penumbra/Black Gray wields a Crossbow and has white hair and black clothes that look similar to OG. Umbra/White Gray wields Dual Blades and has black hair and white clothes that look similar to OG.

Now that's just annoying xD This is -casual- Not a GM, but I find the idea of a guy who splits into his own team a bit iffy >_> If this ain't OP, i can't imagine what is. Main nitpick? Clones beign corporeal and having their own auras (That's how i understood it). Imho clone doesn't have a soul to draw aura from... or at least shouldn't

I need to work on a few things and tone down some stuff, but hey I'll make sure it is rather... Workable. I can do a little bit of explaining on it. Those clones are split personalities of Gray... So in a nutshell, they're all the same people and yet they are seperate entities. The reason the clones can use aura is that they draw aura from Main/Original Gray. When you equate from that, it seems fine and dandy until you realize they share the damage a specific Gray takes and such. If one Gray uses up too much aura, they will all tire out. In a nutshell, if this was a video game, they would all share one health bar. Also, please tell me what Lug wouldn't like, and I'll adapt the application a bit. If it reached the point of where we can't come to a conclusion i'll just scrap the whole thing. Please tell me what he wouldn't like and I'll see if I can work with it, because i'm honestly fine with getting rid of a few of these things.

Ok, i had that one wrong. Still, spontaneously creating people out of thin air even for RWBY universe... well, lessee what the GM says.

Lug didn't want the backstory explained in the CS but rather intended to have it fleshed out by characters in the IC. Also nobody likes it when someone posts a novel as a CS. Seriously that thing is longer than entire pages of the OOC.

Withdrawing backstory, also it isn't a novel, it's only twenty three pages in Microsoft Word :P In all seriousness, i'm removing that backstory. Ignore it, it was never there!

Actually the character picture is from a character in Ib, but that works too!

By the way, you don't have to make so many spaces between the paragraphs. One is fine. That would probably help with the length as well. (don't worry you're not the only advanced level guy. WE CAN MAKE OUR LONG POSTS TOGETHER.)

Oh only 23 pages well that's positively tiny. Though when you realize most CSes rang from 2 to 8 pages on Microsoft Word depending on the literacy of the RPer and detail of the character. When you take that into consideration you start to see what the problem might be. Namely that no one is going to want to read your CS. The CSes are meant to be a referance for appearance and personality and the like so someone who needs that referance doesn't have to read through the entire IC looking for a particular something but when they are as long as yours it is quicker to read though the IC. Simply speaking your CS isn't practical for what a CS is supposed to do, we don't need every detail of the characters life and every personality quirk just a general over view is perfectly fine.

All we need is a team leader, but I think most of us have decided (begrudgingly) to pick Marcus the team leader position. I mean, He does have a tank.
SirBeowulf
Not even joking, that is actually kind of a pro. He can already multitask enough to manage all the minutia of running a tank on his own. Pulling out a map to look for favourable terrain and coordinating the rest of the team isn't asking that much more. On top of that he is super dedicated to seeing his team succeed due to his need to prove his concept of combined arms. He may need someone to tell him to stop being such a camping b**h in combat though.

Fair enough statement, however when I usually get into things it results in me making a very huge ass backstory with the myriads of things you mentioned. I can understand where this is coming from, and i'm sorry if it caused you any trouble.

Maybe save your backstory on a separate document? That way you can still keep it and consult it as needed. Hell make it a google doc and invite others to make comments if you really want. One of the most satisfying background stories came about when I did just that.

Savo
My CS's aren't twenty-six pages (though I think the longest bio I've made is well over 5k words, not counting the entire CS, word wise. I'd have go back and check), but I understand the need to get carried away with a story. I adore finding something that's interesting for a character and branch off from there, but the main purpose for me making a long backstory for a character is to open up various paths for me to take him/her through character development. I enjoy a solid foundation to write from and it also provides me great enjoyment itself, thus if I find my character interesting and enjoyable to write, then I tend to find the entire RP a thousand times more interesting, as well. I tend to go overboard on the bio of a character the most, but second down the line is probably the personality, and then the appearance. Lol. I like the tiny details; they make a character unique and refreshing. Though, maybe not an intense amount of 'em. Jayden is a picky eater and has a penchant for seafood, though he normally doesn't eat as much meat. I didn't find that interesting enough to put in the CS, lol. I usually put stuff like that, idiosyncrasies and the like into the Miscellaneous section of a CS.

Last time I checked, the amount of males heavily outweighed the amount of females so Kaben is probably right in saying not for long! Then again, if Viv is a lot like Artemis then she'll be pretty staunch in her position to 'doing the do' as the kids say these days!
