With everything kind of out of the way James began to think. Making the smelling salts gave him an idea. It should have been obvious sooner but oh well. He was going to have to brush up on his chemistry and get a hold of a good lab to get samples. Passing some of the other students he continued back further into the facility. Getting to the lab he began doing research. Obviously it would take more than one session but at the very least he could have more to work with.

Jack would weaken a bit, but he wouldn't make any notion that he had. "I'm good. Keep going."

Violet releases a little more of her energy and it begins to pick even more at his shadow. A black glow begins to surround them and she releases more of her energy. It begins to grab small handfuls of his shadow. She looks at him, rather than the glow.

Mira wandered aimlessly through the halls, sometimes she would open a door, to see what she could find, but mostly she walked. She didn't have any friends yet at this school, and she didn't know if she would ever find any. She searched her pockets, looking for something to play with. All she really found though were small pouches of seeds. She always had them on her, and unfortunately she never thought to bring anything else. She looked around the hall and sighed, deciding to take a place on the floor. She pulled three random pouches from her pocket, and poured some of their contents onto the ground. One by one, she willed them to grow. Thorned vines(one of her special mixed species), dandelions, and a Venus flytrap. "Hmmm, pretty plants." She rumbled, her voice hoarse. She played with their leaves, and twisted their stems until it started giving her a headache. "So boring."

Jack would continue to stare into Violets eyes, focusing and ignoring whatever pain he would be feeling. He would show no signs of weakness as they continued, although as she was more experienced, she might see him slowly weakening. He would make no attempt to break it.

"Phew, not nearly as bad as i'd initially thought. Thank god.", Dimitri grunted as he sat cross legged on his bed. After reaching his room, the cyborg had wasted virtually no time stripping his arm of several of it's metal plates to get to the inner workings. What he found was that rather than some wires being fried like he'd originally feared, the arm had merely been forced to shut down, a failsafe to prevent it from being overloaded and destroyed Dimitri wagered. A two minute reactivation sequence later and the arm seemed to work as good as new. "I gotta admit that for an overzealous money chaser, pops sure does know how to build things to endure.", Dimitri mused as he experimentally flexed his fingers. With his arm functioning normally once more, Dimitri replaced his plating and jumped off of his bed. "Oh! Almost forgot to see if the speaker worked. Hrm...let's try something small. Seventy four decibels should do.". Dimitri held his hand out and aimed it at the wall, then fired a three second blast, a corner of his mouth twisting upward ever so slightly as the room was briefly filled with sound, "Hot damn, i'm back in business. Just gotta avoid busting my arm again.". With his repairs out of the way and still time to spare, Dimitri gathered up his mini repair kit, exited his room, and walked purposefully down the hall, deciding in his mind that now was as good a time as any to properly socialize with the other students. The trick now was just to find someone.

Ryan finished his workout and frowned intensely. He was going to have to put on the mask again. 'The metaphorical one anyways. God they're stupid.' He put on a fake smile and adjusted his facial expression so he looked like he was content. He saw the robot that won the course earlier and felt some anger surge through him. He also saw a girl sitting on the floor playing with plants. 'How childish can you get?' He thought. He decided to wait and see if either of them noticed him.

Ariella looked up as she saw a boy talking to her. It was a guy that she had training with earlier on. Should she go training with him? Ariella couldn't hand to hand fight though. But if he could teach her that would be great. "Umm..." Ariella stood up from the ground and looked at the guy, nodding. "Sure, I guess I can go... but I can't actually fight with my hands.. I wasn't trained with that kind of skill and stuff... I can still come with though? If you want. Oh! And my name is Ariella. Nice to meet you." she smiled at Shane, hopefully he would let her come along. She did need a few buddies and all!

"Its been a while since I've had to teach someone but sure why not. Nice to meet you Ariella, name's Shane and this right here is Riya", Shane unsheathed the short sword for Ariella to see before gesturing for her to hold it. "Well we better get to the training room if we wanna get enough time in"

Molly flips her a long, thick curl of hair out over her shoulder and huffs slightly. Everyone has just walked off, there wasn't any prize ceremony or big announcer to confirm the win, she didn't even get to hear anyone's theme music. What was the point? It was all she could think as she exited the obstacle course room and walked back to the dorms to retrieve Vulcanus, her trusty hammer. She swiped her ID tag at the door to unlock it and it slid into the wall with a satisfying *WSSHT*. This whole beehive colour scheme was really cramping her style, but she had resolved to try and break it up as much as she could with posters and the like, once she found some to bring in. As she looked around, she spotted her target. Vulcanus was simply left where it was before, propped up in the corner of the room. The light seemed to skirt across its dark, metallic surface and get caught within, making it shine with a dull luminance. It was almost as tall as her, about half a foot shorter, from pommel to the stud that stood above the large head. The head of the hammer was squarish and flat on all sides, engraved with very angular lines, and almost as big as her head. With a smirk, Molly turned to walk back out the door and curled a finger invitingly at the hammer. With a quiet rumble of bass, the hammer shot head-first to follow her out the door before it closed and slowed as she grabbed onto it by the haft, near to the head. She held it as if it were weightless, which right now, it might very well have been. She thought to remind herself to thank whoever placed her room so close to the training facilities and walked over to a heavy bag before placing her hammer at her back, locking it in to the clasps there. As she checked the tightness of her hand wraps, she spies some others in the room, but not many she recognised and definitely none that she had spoken with. With a flex of her muscles, there was another soft rumble of ambient bass, and her hair seemed to become flatter and less lively in its movement. Her respirator kicked into action with a slow hissing as it re-acclimated to the gravitational conditions Molly was projecting onto herself. She was training a bit heavier than usual, feeling a need to keep up appearances after her dismal performance on the course. With a swift, but laboured step forward, Molly lays a right straight into the bag, twisting her hips just like Dad taught her to put something more behind it, but the bag merely takes the blow and swings slightly. "Jeez, these things don't play when they say heavy." She exclaims to... no one in particular, as she hops back with a grunt and swoops back in with a series of quick jabs. "Left-left-right-left-right-right-left-left..." She huffed to herself as she laid into the bag before switching it up with a hard left hook that lead into a back-spin kick, making the bag rock as her heel connected with a sharp slam. Breathing heavily and sweating already, Molly continued to lay in to the bag, occasionally looking to the entrance and around the room in case someone were to walk in or talk to her.

Mira grunted, looking up at the boy before her. He seemed to stare at her, as if he was judging her. Mira frowned and looked down at her plants...was he judging them? She made her plants shrivel up, and when that was done, she folded her arms. "Hello, boy." She muttered, putting on a thin smile. "What interests you?"

Ryan looked at her with more interest. ' It appears I've misjudged her.' He thought to himself. "Not many things interest me. Power, respect, and good company are a few things though." He replied smoothly. "So, nice plants you got there. You really take good care of them huh?" He pointed out the shriveled plants.

Ariella's eyes widened as she saw him unsheathing the sword. Oh. That's what he meant by sparring! But she had no idea what to do with a sword! That was so much worse then her not knowing how to fight with her hands. She thought it was going to be some kind of hand to hand spar and he teaching her but it wasn't. Ariella looked down at the sword, slowly reaching for it and not knowing how to grab it. "I'm sorry... I can't do this... I don't know how to use the sword and I REALLY don't want to end up hurting someone because of it." she said turning her attention to Shane giving him a small smile, hopefully he would understand her little situation. Unless he will go easy and train her, then sure. She is a fast learner! And she can't be relying on her powers always.

Violet stares at their hands nervously. The shadows that have been picked off crawl up her hands, up her chest, and into her vial around her neck. She moves her eyes from their hands to his shadow, which is slowly diminishing. She watches as it reaches about a fourth of his shadow. At this point for a normal human, they would be very weak and be shaking slightly. They may also be turning pale and becoming very cold or going between cold and hot.

Not being called Madame Smash for nothing, Molly resolved to finish her session on the heavy bag by pulling out her hammer and swinging it a few times for good measure. It was still heavy to her, but that was what she wanted. She was getting close to being able to hold up its original weight, but she was still a ways off. With a sigh and a wipe of the beads of sweat at her forehead, she deposits Vulcanus onto her floor and gravitationally anchors it there before hopping on to a treadmill and setting it to a medium jog. With a flick of her wrists, there is a note of rising noise from within her before her hair reclaims some of its bounce and liveliness, the gravity around her body lessening as she runs at her normal weight and strength. She removes her respirator to breathe air normally, looking around with a grimace at the amount of people in the gym. 'People really like to avoid this place here, huh?' She mused as bounced with each of her steps, even skipping at one point.

Shane let out a short chuckle before taking back Riya, "Haha oh no, no one handles Riya but me and I wouldn't start you off with swords. I meant hand to hand combat and maybe some sparring with our powers". Shane could tell Ariella wasn't the type to favor weapons, perhaps he could change that over time. Hey for all he knew he could have a new partner. Wait no, it wouldn't be right to bring her into this kind of life...then again it could be nice to relive the good old days having a partner again. "Wow I make myself sound old", he thought before turning his attention back to Ariella, "Come on, I'll go easy on ya. Besides it's been a while since I've worked on my fighting so it should be a fair fight" he said before begining to head in the direction of the training room. If she followed then he'd soon have a partner, if not then oh well, just meant he wouldn't have to split the payoff for each job.

Ariella saw him taking the sword back, as she giggle shaking her head knowing that the weapon wasn't really for her. Thank Goodness! A sigh of relief escaped her mouth as she smiled at Shane. "Alright. As long as you go easy on me, I will be your sparring partner! But if not. It will have to end and sparring with our powers...?" That wasn't going to be a very good situation. "I can't really spar with my powers.. you see. They are quite dangerous, BUT I will show you what they are earlier on. If you want." she said nodding to herself, not wanting to hurt no one with her abilities. Yeah, she had them under control but her powers were very dangerous. "Alright, lead the way!" and he did! and so she followed.

Arriving at the training room Shane placed Riya against a wall nearby and took off his hood before stepping onto a sparring mat. He did some stretches to loosen up while he waited for Ariella to get ready. "Alright let's see your stance, show me how you stand in a fight", this could prove to be a challenge as Shane was used to fighting dirty. Here there wasnt anything to be used as a weapon. No rocks, broken glass, bricks, dirt. Nothing, it was going to be a clean fight, something he wasn't used to having in a while. He'd worry about that later, one step at a time.

As Dimitri made his way down the hall, he noticed two people talking amongst themselves, one, crouched over what appeared to be some withered plants, and the other standing over her smiling. Tempting though it was for Dimitri to try and join in on their conversation, he felt as if it would be somewhat rude to just but in for the sake of filling his quota for social interaction. That aside, there was something off about the boy that was standing, as though there was something brewing just below that smile. Dimitri knew that sort look better than most, not that he'd ever willingly admit to it. Continuing down the hallway Dimitri stopped in front of the gym and hung awkwardly in the doorway for a bit as he contemplated going inside. On the one hand, it was a good way to kill time, and there was a decent possibility for him to find someone on their own to talk to, yet on the other hand, he hadn't stepped foot into a gym since he'd stopped taking boxing lessons at fourteen. "Ah, what the hell. I could use the practice if we're going to be doing more combat related junk later. Might even find someone who can give me a tip or two.", He mused as he finally entered the room. The first thing he noticed was the smell, every gym had it; that strange combination of musk, rubber, and the disinfecting wipes used to clean machines after use, and it always ranged from faint to gag inducing. Lucky for Dimitri, the smell in this gym seemed to be on the more tolerable side, and he had little trouble traversing the room in search of his target. The cyborg passed right by the weights and lifting racks, after all when you had no muscle to lose or gain, such an activity could be viewed as him being facetious or craving attention. Dimitri walked past the treadmills and elliptical machines for those very same reasons, pausing long enough to smile and nod at someone he recognized from his class, "Looks like she's in her zone. Maybe i'll talk to her once she wraps up.", he thought. After a bit more looking, Dimitri found what the had been searching for: A punching bag, unoccupied, and swaying ever so slightly as though it had recently been in use. With his near perpetual lopsided grin plastered on his face, Dimitri circled the bag once before standing before it and bringing his chin down and his fists up in front of his face. Dimitri began shadow boxing for a bit, lightly hopping from foot to foot as he threw a few mock punches into the empty air. Dimitri continue this for about ten seconds to get himself into the proper mindset, then took a solid stance, one foot forward and flat on the ground, and the other back with him balancing on the ball of his foot. Dimitri lunged forward with his right hand, rotating his shoulder slightly as he struck the bag with a jab before returning to the "ready" stance. The bag swayed backwards a bit, and as it came forward again Dimitri swung out once more, this time shifting the weight to his back fist and rotating his hip as he lashed out with a hook, and then, like it was second nature, returning to the ready position. Dimitri continued in this manner, alternating between punches in a variety of combinations, his body swaying from front, to back, to side to side in an almost rhythmic pattern.

As they arrived into the training room, now walking to the sparring mat. As soon as her feet touched the mat, she got nervous. Really nervous. Why? Because she has never fought before! Hand to hand. Ariella looked at Shane confused listening to what he was saying. Show him a stance? A fighting stance. Ariella didn't have a fighting stance sadly. "Uhhhh..." she looked around confused, scratching the back of her head as her face turned a little red, blushing from embarrassment. Nope she had no idea what her fighting stance was...the only thing she did was stand there.

Shane grinned, he had his work cut out for him today which was fine because he liked a challenge. He shook his head before saying, "Alright let me show you mine, maybe it'll work for you too. If not then we just have to find yours". Shane put his left foot forward and his right foot was planted firmly into the mat behind him. He kept his back straight and right knee bent which leaned him back slightly his left fist was held up to his chest and his right to his waist.  He took only a split second to check his stance before saying to Ariella, "Now you try and tell me how it feels. If it's not working for you then find yours and I'll see if there are any problems with it"
