Name: Vicard Pierce
Gender: Male
Age: 15
Appearance:
Pierce is standing at most, the average height for people in his age. He usually prefers to keep his hair messy, as he can never get it to be fixed in the place he wants it to be. The piercing dark, cerulean blue eyes, as he has been told, seemed to give him a kind of glare that scared some people away. Almost always having a plastered smile on his face, many people can get along with him, and at times the same amount find this to be a good reason to shy away from him. Pierce likes to clothe himself in dark blue or monotonous black colors, paired with a hood so as to not attract too much attention. The necklace that he dons around his neck was given to him by a special individual to his life, which he keeps with his life and will cause him to be frantic if he ever misplaces it.
Village: Alden;
Being one of the most bustling trading villages in the area, this village seemed to be more livelier than others, due to the trade rates and the attractions built in honour of it. The main profession in this area is, of course, trading. Specifically, the marketeers involved are obviously farmers, shopkeepers, fishermen and the like. There were travelling merchants that enter and leave the village were bringing in the most profit. Once you enter the city, houses all fashioned with bricks and tiles could be seen as far as the eyes can see, rocky roads filled the pavements. Endless chatter of merchants trying to haggle and kids’ yelling as they played about would flood your ears, but this gave the city a sort of homey feel.
To the north you could find a seemingly endless, grandeur forest with a muddy path so that traders could pass through. The forest was always rich in resources that were relatively rare. This caused many individuals to sought out these and unfortunately perish. Traders would much rather not go through this arduous path to get through the village, mainly due to the risks it bears for the trader and their supplies. To the South there was a vast, almost-azure blue river, cutting through the mountains it passes through. This river was referred to as ‘Armenia’, This is where Fishers naturally gain their supply of fish to sell on the marketplace. The East and West were the main points in which merchants used to get into the Village for trading, there were two toll gates at these points which amounts to a sizable profit for the village.
Background:
Pierce was born after the great war, in a middle class family- having enough to not be called poor but not enough to be called rich. Pierce was raised with two of his siblings: a younger sister and an older brother. The siblings always played with one another, usually inviting neighborhood kids to join in.
Vicard’s father was a fairly known weapon merchant, and for a good reason at that. Forging and polishing his own weapons at a whim, he was clearly born with a special talent and wielded it well. People came from far and wide to behold the sight that were his creations. He often taught Vicard's older brother the basics, in the hopes that his eldest could surpass his own smithing capabilities. He usually excluded Vicard from these lessons due to his age. This made Vicard fairly lazy, as he literally did not have much to do besides sleep around the house and complete the little chores that no one else bothered to do.
Growing up, he had always had a peaceful life, being oblivious to the outside world and how quickly it was changing. He never had to do anything too difficult as his parents thought that children should have fun when they are growing up. Looking back, Vicard might've appreciated being needed more, but at the time he didn't mind too much. The always chattering town of Alden had always allured him into a quiet life of his own.
Then suddenly, his beloved father passed away, no one knew why, except with the ever-present rumors that he got involved with a band of thieves. This devastated Pierce and his siblings, it also caused his mother to start working. Pierce, who was brooding, though reluctantly- accepted his father’s death, and promised him one day that he will find his killers, if there were any. As a result, Vicard had to take great care of the family, drastically increasing his burden since his mother was often out on jobs. Vicard had to clean, cook, wash the clothes and other household chores. This caused him to become fairly good at household errands, which many of his friends teased him about.
Vicard, being the most convenient, always had to care for his siblings, as his older brother had never seemed to get over his father's death- seeing that he was the closest to his father, Vicard didn't mind. This caused Vicard to become empathic, but he always tried to hide it in fear of being called a “softie”. He is also rather sarcastic, fun-loving, lazy and always had a way to walk right through obstacles, metaphorically speaking of course. He always managed to make friends with the people he met, the friendly demeanor of Vicard always pulling them in. Being lazy, he usually only does things he deems necessary, but will go out to have some fun with his friends when need-be. Usually forthcoming and friendly, there are only a few things that can set off Vicard, one such thing is the mentioning of his father in a rude or displeasing way can anger him. Another such thing is if he sees his siblings being harmed.
Personal Aspirations:
My character, Vicard wants to find his Father's would be killers, though he doesn't have a clue, he doesn't mind. There was always an itch inside him to go adventuring somewhere, but he needd to care for his family at the time, so he did.
I want to see how I can develop this character, there are so many roads i can choose. I want to see how he will reach his aspirations and the difficulties that you provide, I want to see how he can overcome them.
