ok then I also have a few questions about the Dark magician you mentioned that The powers of Dark Magicians are far reaching and encompass many powers associated with other Magicians, and Because it is only the act of summoning a spirit, Dark Magicians actually don’t use much of the Great Power themselves. I that is because assume they can summon things like elemental sprites or one that can heal and that's how there powers overlap with those of the other magicians?. I was also wondering if they can do anything else like for example casting simple binding or blinding spells or even shadow spells?. One last question I was thinking because they have a change of becoming of possessed by the spirits they summon would it be possible for them to summon dead ancestors, relatives and or friends that would be willing to help them out and not try to posses them?. I ask knowing if they only summoned those types of spirits they would not likely be able to summon any really powerful ones as it would be unlikely that they would no a lot of dead people that where that powerful maybe one or two if that. If this where possible however this would allow them to summon multiple weaker spirits to do the job of a powerful one as well as allow them to focus completely on the battle as they would not need to focus on forcing the spirits to do her bidding as they would be helping them of their own free will.

Also a good question. The jump will be anywhere from 5-10 years. I want everyone to be fully grown by the time we return, but everyone will still be in training after the jump as well.

Dark Magicians draw their magic from summoning the spirits of the dead and then forcing them to their will. They cannot summon specific spirits, and generally the relationship between Dark Magicians and spirits won't go beyond an antagonistic one. The Magician summons them, forces them to use their spiritual energy to perform a task (that task could be anything from creating a fire ball, to healing a wound, to turning them invisible). Depending on the nature of the task the Magician is looking to perform, they will summon spirits of different strengths. It doesn't take much for them to summon the spirit itself, no matter the strength, but once summoned it will be a battle of wills to force the spirit to perform the task the Magician had in mind. The only kind of Magician that can enchant an object is an Alchemist. Runes, item enchantments, and potions all require knowledge of the Ancient Language associated with the Great Power.

Name: Floure Camlo (Lovel) Gender: Female Age: 16 Appearance: Floure is a petite young girl at only 5’4’’. She has a very womanly figure for her age with narrow shoulders and a well-developed bosom. Her full hips are the most prominent part of her body. You could say she's a bit bottom heavy and very similar in shape to a pear. She has a sweet face with pale eyes, plump lips and a tiny nose. Her alabaster skin starkly contrasts with her flowing raven curls which Floure always wears down so it frames her face. She dresses in full skirts of many layers and colors matched with an off the shoulder blouse and a bodice to cinch in her waist. Around her ankles and wrists she wears many bracelets and bangles made of precious metals. Tiny charms of silver and gold hanging from them. She’s rarely seen without a colorful shawl wrapped around either her shoulders or waist. Village: Lovel Lovel is a tiny farming community to the west of the provinces. The village is situated in a valley which is flanked by forests on either side. Lovel possesses the most fertile fields in the western province so the main source of income and employment for many is to work the land. If one would continue west through the forests you would eventually reach the wide seas, but that would quite a journey. The people in Lovel are very simplistic and modest. They live off the bountiful harvest and the forests provide them with anything else they might need. It is a peaceful but quiet life in this town. Background: Floure wasn’t actually born in her hometown of Lovel. She was born inside a Vardo while traveling the roads. Her mother’s people were nomads and wanderers known as Travelers. Her surname is Camlo, meaning one who kisses well in the Traveler language. Coincidentally this translates into Lovel in the common tongue. Her father was a wealthy land owner but he was Goriken rat of Gentile blood, part of the common folk and not a Traveler. At first it was the money which drew her mother to him and it was only later that she actually fell in love. Her mother was exotic and unlike any of the common women in Lovel. They only had eyes for each other and Floure was just an accident. In fact her father was worried her mother would start to love her more than him. But that wasn't the case at all. It is safe to say that growing up they were greedy with their love for her. Looking back at her early childhood Floure firmly believes she would have been better off with the Travelers would it not be for the one person she loves deeply. As per Traveler tradition the extended family often went live with their children so Floure had her grandmother. A very loving but strict woman who took responsibility for her care. She was both a father and a mother to her. If they could have left Lovel they would have, but tradition prevented any attempts to this. With little intervention from her parents Floure's grandmother raised the girl as she saw fit teaching her the ways of the Travelers which included the art of dukkering, telling fortunes by hand at the very young age of seven. Dukkering came very natural to Floure, as if she had always known how to do it. This she did not tell her grandmother, because she immensely enjoyed spending time with her. The old woman wasn't blind and recognized her talent so she started to arrange clients for her granddaughter. These are her fondest memories and if asked about her life she will tell you of this. Floure is a compassionate and kind-hearted young girl, a good listener and a loyal friend. She trusts her intuition and is very sensitive to other's emotions, being an emotional person herself. On the occasion that she becomes irritated, Floure can be sarcastic, and sometimes uncharacteristically snappy. She doesn't usually move to judge at first sight, but if she doesn't take a liking to someone, it's probably with good reason. If you're in trouble Floure is the one to go to. Granted she'll probably won't be able to solve it for you but you'll feel reassured, trust me on this. She has a very familial feel to her and taking care of her family is what she does best. She is always up for fun and can be very mischievous. In a lot of ways she resembles her grandmother, albeit in her younger years. Currently arrangements are to be made for her to marry the son of the towns cobbler. Floure however has others plans. She longs to meet her Traveler brothers and sisters and wishes to escape the quiet life in Lovel. It is not for her. It is the Traveler blood within her, making her restless. Personal Aspirations: Floure wants to reconnect with the Traveler family she’s never met. The sisters and brothers of her mother as well as her many cousins. She doesn’t want to live her entire life in Lovel. Also even though she is of marriageable age she wants to choose her own husband and is firmly against her arranged marriage. Above all she just wants to be happy because she’s in quite a miserable situation right now, at least it seems that way. She feels trapped. I have used this character before in another roleplay with a very different setting. I just enjoyed writing for her so much that I wanted to revisit her. To me this is another opportunity to develop her in a different way and hopefully you’ll all enjoy her as much as I did.

White Magicians following The Mother could heal wounds, bring strength and courage, lift curses, ect. Another noteworthy god is The Warrior. The abilities he bestowed included forming barriers, enchanting armor and swords, granting courage, lessening fatigue, augmenting strength, ect.
Question: So only Alchemists can enchant stuff right? That earlier bit about White Mages is just a typo, right? Also super excited for this to start as well, is there an ETA on that?

The power of the White Magicians could be thought of as more temporary. Where they would be enchanting a sword for a few hours, Alchemists permanently enchant an object, allowing it to draw from the Great Power continuously. I'll choose the character sheets we will be starting with tonight. We can expect to be starting later this week!

Name: Vicard Pierce Gender: Male Age: 15 Appearance: Pierce is standing at most, the average height for people in his age. He usually prefers to keep his hair messy, as he can never get it to be fixed in the place he wants it to be. The piercing dark, cerulean blue eyes, as he has been told, seemed to give him a kind of glare that scared some people away. Almost always having a plastered smile on his face, many people can get along with him, and at times the same amount find this to be a good reason to shy away from him. Pierce likes to clothe himself in dark blue or monotonous black colors, paired with a hood so as to not attract too much attention. The necklace that he dons around his neck was given to him by a special individual to his life, which he keeps with his life and will cause him to be frantic if he ever misplaces it. Village: Alden; Being one of the most bustling trading villages in the area, this village seemed to be more livelier than others, due to the trade rates and the attractions built in honour of it. The main profession in this area is, of course, trading. Specifically, the marketeers involved are obviously farmers, shopkeepers, fishermen and the like. There were travelling merchants that enter and leave the village were bringing in the most profit. Once you enter the city, houses all fashioned with bricks and tiles could be seen as far as the eyes can see, rocky roads filled the pavements. Endless chatter of merchants trying to haggle and kids’ yelling as they played about would flood your ears, but this gave the city a sort of homey feel. To the north you could find a seemingly endless, grandeur forest with a muddy path so that traders could pass through. The forest was always rich in resources that were relatively rare. This caused many individuals to sought out these and unfortunately perish. Traders would much rather not go through this arduous path to get through the village, mainly due to the risks it bears for the trader and their supplies. To the South there was a vast, almost-azure blue river, cutting through the mountains it passes through. This river was referred to as ‘Armenia’, This is where Fishers naturally gain their supply of fish to sell on the marketplace. The East and West were the main points in which merchants used to get into the Village for trading, there were two toll gates at these points which amounts to a sizable profit for the village. Background: Pierce was born after the great war, in a middle class family- having enough to not be called poor but not enough to be called rich. Pierce was raised with two of his siblings: a younger sister and an older brother. The siblings always played with one another, usually inviting neighborhood kids to join in. Vicard’s father was a fairly known weapon merchant, and for a good reason at that. Forging and polishing his own weapons at a whim, he was clearly born with a special talent and wielded it well. People came from far and wide to behold the sight that were his creations. He often taught Vicard's older brother the basics, in the hopes that his eldest could surpass his own smithing capabilities. He usually excluded Vicard from these lessons due to his age. This made Vicard fairly lazy, as he literally did not have much to do besides sleep around the house and complete the little chores that no one else bothered to do. Growing up, he had always had a peaceful life, being oblivious to the outside world and how quickly it was changing. He never had to do anything too difficult as his parents thought that children should have fun when they are growing up. Looking back, Vicard might've appreciated being needed more, but at the time he didn't mind too much. The always chattering town of Alden had always allured him into a quiet life of his own. Then suddenly, his beloved father passed away, no one knew why, except with the ever-present rumors that he got involved with a band of thieves. This devastated Pierce and his siblings, it also caused his mother to start working. Pierce, who was brooding, though reluctantly- accepted his father’s death, and promised him one day that he will find his killers, if there were any. As a result, Vicard had to take great care of the family, drastically increasing his burden since his mother was often out on jobs. Vicard had to clean, cook, wash the clothes and other household chores. This caused him to become fairly good at household errands, which many of his friends teased him about. Vicard, being the most convenient, always had to care for his siblings, as his older brother had never seemed to get over his father's death- seeing that he was the closest to his father, Vicard didn't mind. This caused Vicard to become empathic, but he always tried to hide it in fear of being called a “softie”. He is also rather sarcastic, fun-loving, lazy and always had a way to walk right through obstacles, metaphorically speaking of course. He always managed to make friends with the people he met, the friendly demeanor of Vicard always pulling them in. Being lazy, he usually only does things he deems necessary, but will go out to have some fun with his friends when need-be. Usually forthcoming and friendly, there are only a few things that can set off Vicard, one such thing is the mentioning of his father in a rude or displeasing way can anger him. Another such thing is if he sees his siblings being harmed. Personal Aspirations: My character, Vicard wants to find his Father's would be killers, though he doesn't have a clue, he doesn't mind. There was always an itch inside him to go adventuring somewhere, but he needd to care for his family at the time, so he did. I want to see how I can develop this character, there are so many roads i can choose. I want to see how he will reach his aspirations and the difficulties that you provide, I want to see how he can overcome them.

I'm out of this roleplay. More than a week of absence without any notice from a GM is never a good sign. Good luck guys! Hopefully Will is going to return to this. It has lots of potential to turn out great ^.^
