I mean if you organize for one of the PC vampires to break the Masquerade and get a violation (assuming we are going on violations etc) Then you could be a generic human that knows...I spose.

At the same time, the Masquerade does not say that Kindred cannot interact with Kine in other association relationships beyond simply thraldom or as enemies. It may be complicated, but think of it in interactions like how in Bloodlines your character can get into business relationships with Fat Larry or a bunch of other characters who have no idea that you're a vampire. Or even how (in rare circumstances) some Vampires have worked with the odd Hunter who has different views on various monsters, though then they also probably don't fully understand what Kindred are, either. BTW for future reference, don't worry about much or how little knowledge you guys have on the series or universe. My own knowledge is limited mostly to Bloodlines and the stuff I read off the Wikis. So don't worry about your level of knowledge.

I played VtM:B only, so I guess I'd consider myself a newb in the field, sort of. But I read a ton into the deeper lore and would absolutely positively totally be delighted to participate in such an RP, assuming you're still 'open'. Malkavian master race! Edit: You do seem to be a little oversaturated on the Malks. If that is an issue, then consider this expression of interest null.
Traitor
Well, if we are over saturated in Malkavians, I can always just place mine in the background of the rest of my character(s). I mainly just want to mess around with a ghoul and a bud of my Malk, anyhow. :3

Of course, I haven't put up the OOC yet, so we're still in. FYI though, don't expect many Sabbat friends in London, if your Tzimisce is leaning that way. I suggested the Camarilla and Anarch Clans simply because they are the most likely to fit in with the modern European setting in terms of Kindred sect varieties.

Old Clan has a hatred of their younger clan mates and sees the Sabbat as a foolhardy child's war. Old Clan are staunchly independent and fiercely territorial. However, they also have a fairly determined curiousity to the happenings of their fellow cainites. Regardless, of the location I am confident I can fit him in.

So I've decided I'm going to play a hunter character. Is there anything I really need to know about hunters before I start my CS? I know they're humans who can see past the Masquerade, are immune to being turned and have couple of supernatural abilities that give them an edge when fighting the enemy. I also know that they hear voices that tell them to 'take back the Earth'. Is there anything else I need to know?

According to the wiki, many hunters work either solo or in small cells, sometimes dedicating themselves to fighting all creatures of darkness, or specializing in particular ones. Larger groups, called compacts and conspiracies (Like the modern day Inquisition, The Society of Leopold) which wield global reach and influence at their disposal. Some hunters are indiscriminate in what creatures they kill, viewing all with equal disdain, other rarer groups offer forms of redemption or penance, as they do not view ALL creatures of darkness as inherently evil. Here is the main page I'm using for info on it, the Inquisition page may be another:http://whitewolf.wikia.com/wiki/Hunter_(WOD)

This is my CS, finally. What do you think? Name: Ivy Harris Sex: Female Date of Birth: January 10th 1990 Image/Description: Species: Human (Hunter) Background/Occupation: She works in a local library when she's not doing her duty as a hunter. Residence: An apartment she recently rented out in the centre of London. Personal Possessions: Ever since leaving her old Hunting group, she keeps a gun loaded with silver bullets with her at all times for werewolves. She also has a stock of crossbows and arrows at her place for vampires, which are her currently the only target she knows how to properly deal with. She also has recently acquired a pet mixed breed dog who she's named Sheila, as she has heard that dogs are good at sensing monsters, and she plans to take Sheila out with her on patrol soon so she can put this theory to the test. Backstory: Ivy's been in the hunting business since age 21, and even then, life hasn't been particularly easy for her. Her mother suffered from severe paranoia, leading her to be overprotective and over-possessive of her husband. If Mr Harris didn't return home at least an hour after his work had finished, Mrs Harris would end up calling him and getting upset, and Ivy usually had to look after her. Fights between her mother and father happened a lot, and one time, ceased by rage, her mother actually attacked her father. This was the last straw for Ivy's father and he ended up filing a divorce. He and Mrs Harris also got into a custody battle over who would take care of Ivy - Ivy was twelve at this time. This went on for at least a year, but finally ended after a particular incident: Ivy started to realising, during her puberty, that she had an attraction to a girl at school, and, slightly worried by this, decided to confide in her mother. Ivy's mother flew into a rage and attacked her own daughter before throwing her out of the house. After this, Ivy called her father from a pay-phone and he came to pick her up. A few months later, Ivy's father gained custody of his daughter, and Ivy's mother was sent to an institution to receive treatment. Ivy's life became a little more comfortable after this, though she received some bullying during school due to her sexuality. Her father did his best for his daughter, though he did feel that the lack of a mother figure wasn't helping Ivy's development. Come age 18, once Ivy had left school, Ivy tried to get into college, but her grades, which were less than satisfactory, meant she never succeeded. This caused some tension between Ivy and her father, who Ivy was still living with at the time. Ivy then applied for a couple of jobs here and there, before eventually being accepted to work at a local library. Not ambitious, but at least it was a job. Then, when she age 20, Ivy started receiving unusual messages... as in, she'd be looking at a book, and the words would start changing, shifting, saying things that they hadn't said before. The messages were different each time, but they always contained the same sentence somewhere within them: "IT IS A LIE." Ivy was worried that she may have inherited her mother's psychosis, and started taking therapy. Her therapist didn't believe that Ivy's condition was quite a serious as her mother's, but helped as much as they could, prescribing various anti-depressants to Ivy, which she took, and after year, she stopped seeing the messages and believed she was going to be okay. One night though, when she was working late at the library, she had an unusual encounter with a rather beautiful woman, who was in the library soon before it was meant to close. This same woman, known as Eleanor, gave Ivy her phone number, saying she would like to get to know her better. Anxious but excited, Ivy decided to go on a date with Eleanor, having never been on a proper date before. The two got on reasonably well and, afterwards, Eleanor invited Ivy back to her place. Ivy declined, being nervous, and tried to leave, then prompting Eleanor to attack her, knock her out and her drag her back to Eleanor's apartment. Ivy, of course, didn't know this at the time, but Eleanor was in fact a vampire, and she tried to forcefully changed Ivy into one of her own. However, Eleanor soon found that Ivy seemed to be immune to vampirism. She became angry, realising Ivy was in fact one of the chosen meant to become a Hunter, and tried to killer. She may have succeed, too, had a group of local Hunters not found them at that exact moment and killed Eleanor. They told Ivy, who understandably scared and confused, who they were and that she was in fact a Hunter, someone who had the power to fight against monsters, and told her to join them. Ivy was reluctant at first, but after later witnessing another vampire attack, she started working with the gang of hunters, who, while aware that other species of monster exist, specialise most in hunting down vampires. She worked with them for a couple of years before realising she didn't really agree with some of their ideas, as the group only really bothered with vampires and could be fairly apathetic when it came to the casualties of bystanders, so now she works a solo hunter, trying to take down all monsters and do her best to protest mankind from danger. So far, though, it hadn't been easy, and working alone has started to wear her down. Personal affiliations: Ivy has cut herself off from her old group and knows no one else who is part of the Masquerade. At this moment in time, she is almost completely alone.

First things first: I am going to give you guys a tip: DROP THE CLAN RANGE to 7-14 (really there is no reason for the game you have set up to go lower then 7) Second: I am going to be bringing a NPC from the books out, I am going to (since we are free forming it) mod the heck out of the NPC for everyones sanity: I can make something different if you want me to PM me and let me know Third: I have numerous years of OWOD experience in larp and tt I will totes help Name: Edward Alexander Crowley Aliases: Aliester Crowley, Master Therion, The Great Beast, Uncle Al, and others Clan: Malkavian Embraced:1930 (Apparent Age 55) Generation:7th Disciplines:DOMINATE, OBFUSCATE, AUSPEX, THAUMATURGY, DEMENTATION Weaknesses: Derangement (Malkavian Clan Flaw: Narcissistic personality disorder, Borderline personality disorder) Sire?:Achadramenos Rank?:Ancilla from a perspective of Age but due to his occult practices and his blood he has the power of a weak elder Childe(r)?: Henry Jekyll/Edward Hyde (Malkavian Primogen of Berlin) Political Affiliations:Camarilla Anything else of note?: The man known in his Mortal Life as "The Great Beast" was used as a pawn of Camarilla politics from the day of his creation. His sire and the Prince of London, Mithras the old persian god himself, initiated Master Therion into the world of the Camarilla as a mockery and scandal for the Tremere. They convinced Uncle Al he was a member of House and Clan until the joke was exposed. But they did not truly understand the type of man they were dealing with. After the Blitz and with the rise of "Queen Anne" as the Prince of London Master Therion left the city of London with both his sire and the ancient prince torpid from the bombs. The rumors at this point began to fly wild about this potent vampire. He moved to Canterbury and settled there in that domain. A man of the occult his whole life he gained prominence in Camarilla Salons speaking out against ideas like "The Final Nights" and "The Book of Nod" speaking of both the absurdity of the mythology, and the cognitive dissonance it implies. He admitted to much of the flim flammery and salesmanship he did in promoting his own occult career and pointed to the obvious parallels in the ideology of the Sabbat. As such he came to be a welcome guest in every major domain and a welcome consultant on such occult matters. When "Queen Anne" fell to Dr. John Dee, then Tremere Pontifex and Prince of London, Uncle Al returned to London. Well respected now that the scandal of his birth as well as the Scandal of his impersonator leading a club of Diablerists being put to bed he had served as a councilor to the Malkavian Primogen of London. And then as in the Blitz another night of long knives came and elders were cleared from the Deck. Uncle Al wonders if the Old Persian God decided to slay his enemies and start anew. But Mr Crowley wonders if maybe he could take the plumb of London for himself. Merits: Additional Discipline (Thaumaturgy) Due to his Occult knowledge prior to the Embrace he was able to learn Thaumaturgy. A fact which many Tremere take offense at. Medium: You possess the natural affinity to sense and hear spirits, ghosts and shades. Though you cannot see them, you feel their presence and are able to speak with them when they are in the vicinity. It is even possible for you to summon them (through pleading and cajoling) to your presence. Spirits will not simply aid you or give you advice gratis - they will always want something in return. Occult Library:You possess a library of occult materials, which may include at least one version of the Book of Nod. You are not necessarily familiar with the contents of these volumes of knowledge ( that is a function of your Abilities), but in time of need your library can be an invaluable source for research. Scholar of Enemies (Sabbat): You have taken the time to learn about and specialize in one particular enemy of the Camarilla. You are aware of at least some of the group's customs, strategies, abilities and long-term goals, and can put that knowledge to good use. Clan Friendship (Toreador) Flaws: Enemy :You have an enemy, or perhaps a group of enemies, who seek to harm you. The power of the enemy depends upon how many points the player wishes to spend (depending on how much of the Cannon metaplot you want to use I have some ideas). Catspaw :You've done dirty work for someone high up in the city's hierarchy in the past -- the Sheriff, the Bishop, or even someone higher. However, instead of granting you favor, your deeds have made you an embarrassment or a liability. For the moment, your former employer's concern is to keep you quiet. In the long term, it's to get rid of you. Clan Enmity (Tremere) One Clan in particular wants you dead. You have offended the entire Clan, from elders to neonates, and as a result every member of that bloodline wants your head on a plate. The effects of the Flaw may manifest as anything from very public snubs and insults to actual attempts on your unlife. Clan Enmity (Ventrue) One Clan in particular wants you dead. You have offended the entire Clan, from elders to neonates, and as a result every member of that bloodline wants your head on a plate. The effects of the Flaw may manifest as anything from very public snubs and insults to actual attempts on your unlife. Infamous

Karasoth: Impressive work on Aliester Crowley, I'll certainly PM you with more details of my thoughts, but atm things look good to me. In terms of public concerns, my hope is that your modified CS doesn't intimidate anyone else, this is still a casual RP, so nobody needs to go to the same lengths, but detail is still impressive nonetheless. As for you Fellsing, your sheet is also pretty good, though I do have a couple reservations to point out. The first is not entirely your fault, in that I have added a more specific Hunters section to the general character apps on the OOC page, so since your character is a hunter, you'll be able to add more detailed info to it. This leads into my second issue, how your backstory ends. I'll admit that I'm not knowledgeable of Hunters and their relations to Vampirism, but I'm skeptical that anyone would be "immune" to The Embrace. Holy Warriors and Hunters of past times have been Embraced before, to their depression, resentment, or acceptance of the role reversal. My suggestion as to how to resolve the issue, is perhaps having it be as if Eleanor (in a slight violation of the Masquerade on her part), had proposed the Embrace to Ivy, upon which she receives let's say, another interdiction from The Messengers to convince her not to go through with it, her rejection only makes Eleanor resolve to either forcibly embrace her, make her a ghoul, or simply kill her in order to protect The Masquerade. Then the other Hunters burst in, as they had been tracking and monitoring Eleanor's activities for some time, and intervene in order to protect who appears to be their newest recruit, in essence they use the vampire as a test of sorts, though they would have killed her regardless of Ivy's fate. That's just my suggestion, perhaps you'll come up with something better or unique to yourself as you fill in the rest of the Hunter subsection in the OOC. WHICH TO REMIND ALL NEW PEOPLE INTERESTED, THE OOC IS UP! LINK IS HERE: http://www.roleplayerguild.com/topics/75880/posts/ooc
