I have many different ways to wake Olivia and do this scene but I need to know what helped or not.

I know you're not, Hawk, I know. I can't get mad over something I do all the time. After, I'm trying to meet halfway getting this story moving and have Olivia registered to be a student as only legally Aeris can do this without Darius' permission and not suffer his anger. In addition, Olivia's been hiding her magic and no one knows this but Olivia. So if/when I manage to beat Cel's muse into behaving, sooner I can get that little secret revealed somehow. Then likely she will be in Lazarus' class if it's general magic application because Olivia's not a musician. So...anyone want to hold Cel and someone else hold her muse while I ground pounce the latter? :p

Ok so, this is a real talk about some changes that me and Yosh are going to make. Basically some rules for posting in this RP to make sure that we have a stable pace and so that the RP picks up some speed. So let's cut the shit. Synthorian proceeds to cut the shit. --- Alright, so here's the deal. The following is a set of rules we want to propose to you before we set them in stone. We are a community, so Yosh and I want you guys to give us some feedback, whether you approve or don't approve of one or several rules, have suggestions of your own, or any questions about said proposed rules. Here goes nothing...

• There will be a 14 day time limit on collabs based in the present time IC and singleplayer posts, also based in present time IC. Which resets every time a post is produced in the IC, which also applies to collab contributers, whether they play NPCs or PCs.
• Players must warn the GMs, as well as fellow collaborators, if they will be unable to contribute to both collabs and singleplayer posts for more than the allocated time limit for whatever reason, in order to prevent hanging up other players so that they may continue. Doing so will make the collab or singleplayer post a viable canon flashback, that can be posted when the player returns, or at a later date should the player or players wish to do so. PLEASE DO THIS IN ANY WAY YOU CAN IF YOU HAVE NO ACCESS TO A PC, OTHERWISE THE RULE BELOW WILL APPLY.
• Players who do not warn us, or have a post ready before the 14 day time limit is expired, will have a 3 day grace period (3 extra days) to post their collab, or singleplayer post. If no post is produced in the IC within that time, they will recieve an Infraction.
• A player may receive a maximum of 3 Infractions. After 2 Infraction, the offending player will lose the right to a 3 day grace period. On the 3rd Infraction, the player is kicked. Holding up other players from posting will not be tolerated.
• If a collab is being held up by the offending player (who obtained an infraction or has been kicked for 3 infractions), the GMs will ask if the collaborators are willing to take over the offending/kicked player's character, if not, the GMs will.
• When warning the GMs of a player absence, only the player him/herself must speak for themselves. NO ONE ELSE can speak for them. Their absence, and the explanations for them, are THEIR responsibility.
• In order to be able to enforce the 14 day rule effectively, please send the GMs the links to the collabs that are taking place in present time. This will help the GMs keep track of the progress of the collabs, as well as who is taking part, and who is slowing everyone else down. Future based collabs, flashbacks and singleplayer posts may be kept private from the GMs.
• The GMs are NOT under exception of these rules. They must follow said rules to the letter, failure to do so will result in the removal of their position.

Perhaps you might wish to include a leave of absence clause more specifically for players who got caught unawares by life. As the rules seem to only be talking about foreseeable absences. Just a thought.

Unfortunately not. I mean, if you keep up with the rules, the time limit, and don't hang anybody up. You will be fine. People who will actually get these infraction are usually individuals who will be wasting everybody's time anyway. I have seen enough false promises to fall for them again. So no, they can't come back after 14 days. Maybe at a much later date.

You seem to be assuming the second rule only covers future incidents that you, as the player, know about. No, it covers both things. If something suddenly happens today that will impede you from posting completely, it's not that hard to tell us today, or tomorrow, or the day after.

Me and Yosh haven't covered that part yet. But we are flexible. Like you suggested, if a player keeps up with the 14 day limit for an extended period of time, then perhaps 1 infraction could be removed, say, after 2 months, and then another after another 2 months, or something like that.

I'd say 1 month if you have 1 in fraction, 2 months if 2, aka it goes up with the more infractions you have. Not sure.

I don't like this phrasing. What if there's a death in the family, or your group of friends? What if you get in an accident? Worse case scenario, you won't be able to tell us the day of, or even after. Whether it be because you're in the hospital, or you're just grief-stricken. I also don't like the rule that people aren't allowed to speak for you if you have to go MIA for whatever reason. As an example: Yosh and I are dating. So, if I say, lost my internet for months, he'd be the only one in our group to know. He'd have to speak for me. I don't know how close Merlin and Grin are, but say something happened with either of them, and the other was the only one who could tell us? Yes, I am taking these rules literally, because they should be worded to avoid people who would actually take them literally.

Okay I'm certainly on board with the last part of that (That's not to say I'm not in agreement with the first part but I think you covered it pretty well), Cel has an excellent point that didn't even cross my mind. I've noticed there are some members of the group that are better at communicating with each other than other members. Perhaps we could have like an emergency contact or something along the lines of that. Just a thought, but i certainly agree with that because I do have a better ability to communicate with Grin than anyone else. And in my opinion if something happens to my internet or me. The reality is Grin will probably be the person who is going to be able to tell you if I'm dead or hospitalized or just unable to get to a computer for some reason. SO maybe it would be a good idea to have at least one other person that is sanctioned for speaking on your behalf.

I do like the rules though I do agree it's not really necessary for only ourselves to be able to deliver the message - it doesn't change anything in my opinion. BTW I have no phone contact with anyone so if anything happened to me you wouldn't find out unless I found a way to tell you. Which brings me to the second point. Cel's point about death and such. I think in an extreme event of being hit by a car or having a death in the family or something like that, we'd all understand that sometimes it's impossible to warn others that something's happened or you wouldn't even feel like doing so. God forbid something like that happened, I don't think it would be an unforgivable sin to fail to alert us and only do so afterwards. We are all real life people and shit happens to all of us, however my personal opinion is that it's not impossible to say "can't post" in a 2 week period. Still, even if it is, the way I see it, this is the point of the 2 week grace period you'd be given to react. If we don't, the story would just move on, note, not resulting in us being expelled. You'd get two warnings before you are, and if I understand that correctly, that's a month and a half grace to drop in a 1-line message. I think that's much more reasonable than waiting for a month and a half on every single person to post. And again, in my opinion, it would be incredibly disrespectful to keep everyone in the dark and just disappear for a month and a half anyway.
