Medic - Siberia: New Umbrella Facility Medic and his little army of soldiers approached what would seem to be a typical warehouse, were it not for the armed guards and the fact that they were in Siberia. The guards at the warehouse eyed the soldiers warily, their guns at the ready if a fight was about to erupt. However, they had their orders from Derek Simmons to allow them to negotiate first, so they did not fire. As the Medic and the army came closer to the front entrance, the guards at the front crossed their guns to bar the way. "Halt!" one of them said. "You are about to enter a restricted area. Stay here while we have someone come to negotiate whatever you are trying to accomplish here." the other said. The moment they finished their introduction, though, the Shadow Eternity soldiers began to point their guns at the guards and fire, taking them by surprise. The guards scrambled for cover while trying to avoid the lasers and fired back, but their bullets had a tough time penetrating the armor of the soldiers. Those that did manage to get injured were quickly under the care of Medic, who simply pointed his Medigun at them and fired his Medibeam, healing them within seconds. Medic laughed, enjoying the scene before him. The guards were quickly rushing indoors or behind cover, firing away. Some of the guards were smarter and tried to shoot at Medic, but there were armored soldiers covering him, making it exceedingly difficult to land a hit on him. Then he got a message from Meta-Ridley, "Medic, report. What's your status?" Medic put his hand to his ear and responded, "Ha-hahahahaa, ze attack has begun, and zey are veak! Ve vill have what ve vant very soon if zis keeps up!" Time to see what else Simmons would do to protect his interests.

Arragoz Plizgin - Ridley's Krooza For a reason currently unknown to the Ork, Ridley wanted to see one of his weapons. Arragoz thought this an odd request, as the cyborg-dragon's hands were far, far too big to properly handle most of his arsenal. However, Ridley was 'Da Boss,' and any Ork who wasn't more stoopid than a humie would know to always comply with da Boss' wishes. "'Ere ya go, Boss," said Arragoz, before tossing a thankfully unarmed Stikkbomb towards the enormous lizard.

Nono - Restaurant District, Yggdrasil Nono grinned in triumph as she successfully grabbed the woman's wrist, noting the neutralization of the other grunts, and prepared to bash the hand she held on the railing until it broke or she let go of the sword. That'd end this. Then the woman leaned in, and Nono moved to dodge while getting a slightly confused look at the talk about dates, and that threw her off enough for the follow up to be successful, wrenching the blade free. "What," she exclaimed as her hold was broken, and she quickly leapt back to dodge any sort of follow through. She landed in a combat stance, still serious and ready to go at it. "We are not going on a date," she countered. "My bond with Onee-sama is stronger than any you could ever hope to have!" Proclamations of devotion aside, she prepared for whatever the strange lady would throw at her next. --- Cinder Fall - Research Facility Cinder watched on as Charlotte got to work, though sharp fangs making short work of the girl's arm, and she was impressed to see their opponent cut it off herself, rather than letting it become a liability in this fight. That took a certain kind of dedication, even if it was only an artificial limb. Now Cinder was intrigued, moreso than she had been before. And indeed, the girl didn't even seem all that affected, as she leapt back and drew her pistol, shooting the arrows out of the air, which impacted and caused ringing explosions. And she had even done that with her weaker arm. There was certainly more at work here than just being skilled. Avoiding whatever it was Charlotte decided to do next, Cinder reformed her bow into dual blades and moved in, switching back to melee combat since it seemed the most effective, and now that the girl had even more of a disadvantage from only being able to use the combat knife. Of course, she'd allow her to flee if the girl tried, since there was no point in spoiling the fun, but she would push the advantage now that she had it, and she did as she struck quick and fast. Time to end this. --- Misaka 10032 - Client world 12262009-A Misaka was focused on her task, and fired the Toy Soldier in compressed bursts as Kakine carried her along. With the usage of rubber ammunition she was willing, and capable of going all out to retrieve her electron goggles, and so that was what she did. Yet the thief proved extremely effective in dodging, even though Misaka did succeed in hitting her hat. She watched then as the thief asked why they mattered, whilst putting on the goggles. At the same time Kakine generated knives of dark matter, which would definitely be useful here. One way or another, her gear would be returned. She stopped firing for a few moments to answer. "'They are the necessary for the effective usage of Misaka's Radio Noise ability,' Misaka explains in a persuasive manner. 'They allow for the detection of electromagnetic fields, as well as the flow of electricity from source to output.'" Such scientific language would have to be interpreted by Kakine, but Marisa would be able to see herself as she lowered the goggles, her vision overlaid with green, numbers on the side, while white lines radiated out and moved along in paths, showing the complicated view that came with them. Of course, someone like Misaka Mikoto could do this almost instinctively, but the Sisters individual powers didn't allow for that.

Charlotte - Research Facility
With each passing chew, one could hear the metal bending as it was pierced by Charlotte's huge, razor teeth. The Witch's aggressive look would only last until the adversary had severed her own arm in an endeavor to escape from Charlotte's killing intent. With that action, the doll quickly reverted back to her normal state with already most of the arm inside her body. Only a heavily decomposed and ripped hand was seen sticking out of her weird jaw and after a short moment she sucked it back in her hollow body as if the metal part was a piece of spaghetti. She seemed content and even burped rather heavily at the direction of the maimed female as she was assaulted once more by Cinder. The burp released a large amount of energy con consumed from the arm, the same energy used to allow it to work and be linked to the nervous system. Needless to say, it smelled really bad. "Mmmmm, that arm was tasty! Now we're even!" She joyfully said as she stared over at the one armed woman still fighting as if she wasn't handicapped at all. Charlotte waved her pierced hand at the assailant. She considered them settled, they both had a member damaged by other and now all that remained for this to be perfect was to hug and kiss. But Charlotte wasn't dumb enough to do that, she knew the gunslinger was the enemy and that Cinder Fall could handle her quite easily with an arm gone. Sticking her tongue out, she turned to face the direction she and Cinder were previously following. She was hoping to reach the magical cheese maker Cinder promised, and thus let the two duke it out. She swallowed the jam with her tongue stuck out while she proceeded. The attacker had little time to manhandle the little creature before she'd be out of sight and farther into a corridor. Two Pyotr creatures were following her behind, leaving only four to supervise the fight and stab the woman if she were to get near them.
Meta Ridley - Pirate Ship
Arragoz had kindly obliged to the order, not that Ridley doubted him for a second, but he was started to get used to his colleagues taking matters into their own hands. Luckily he could still rely on that Ork. As his tail wrapped around the sensitive object which was hopefully neutralized, he was taking into account Medic's feedback. One of Meta-Ridley's teeth clicked as he acknowledged the gun shots and the tone of the Medic's speech. It wasn't too wise to infuriate a tyrant, especially when the end goal was of high importance. "What did you say?! Are you kidding me? You're supposed to located Simmons first! Not shoot the first bunch of morons you meet! FREAKING DAMN IT!" The enraged creature's tail suddenly flicked the switch of the Stikkbomb and threw it directly to his right. He timed it right though, as the corporal Pedinski was returning to report on his latest job right at Ridley, entering from the door on the right hand corn of the control room. As he stepped in, he had the bomb stick on him while active. "Captain sir, I-... Wha-." The bomb had exploded a few seconds after gluing itself on the poor soldier, trashing the few objects around him but the ship's composition was stout enough to withstand inner blasts that didn't hit things such as reactor cores. But even so, some damage did cause problems, hence the sudden intervention of small drones that immediately started repairing the small circuits that were damaged but left the rest aesthetically broken. Medic could actually hear the explosion from the communication system, but it would very well blend in with the situation he was in. "Ugh. Just, make sure everything we need is secured. Kill Simmons if need be but just FIND him first you moron. Also, two rookies the boss dragged in are coming your way, I expect better work from you. Contact me when you have something intelligent to say." He closed the conversation relay and immediately glared at Arragoz. One wouldn't be too sure as to what Ridley's body language would mean, especially with his cybernetic changes, his eyes didn't even deliver any form of emotion whatsoever. "Nice weapon. You'll need a few of those. You're going to destroy a mothership in one go. Do you think you're up for it?" He asked, knowing that Arragoz was the best there was to set bombs everywhere and completely destroy what needed to disappear. Ridley's claws clicked on a few holographic keys before him, causing the ship to automatically leave Earth's orbit and travel through a new dimensional hole, this time heading to a much more hostile Universe. The recipe would be the same, the quaky travel through the portal and the prolonged distance to close once in the universe. They would be far from the desired coordinates once through, but there was a reason for that. As of now, the ship only had 1/4th of its crew left and only Ridley and Arragoz were the Agents sent for this part of the mission. But why? The goal was clearly to cause more noise and destruction and inevitably attention, so why be in such low numbers? Only few knew that Ridley's next destination was closer to him than anyone else.

Jericus "Ing" Ignace Client World 576143290-B The guardsman rubbed his forehead as he watched the three people he was with jump down into the pit. He looked around to see if creature were still there and notice the creatures disappeared. Ignace signed before approaching the pit mouth 'im not jumping down,' he thought to himself. After a quick search he found the lift down. Starting it he rode the lift down into the pit. Once at the bottom of the pit he had his lasgun raised as he approached the coffin "maybe we should find a tech-priest first," he said looking at the consoles.

Dakro, Tace T.'s Diner, Toad Town Dakro, for a time, had been sitting in a cafe in Toad Town, enjoying everything the restaurant had to offer. He was feeding one of his Fyoras a bit of cake when he heard the tremendous chorus of BADANANANADDANANA's and rainbow flashing Toads, snapping him back to his job. Well, sort of. He finished the current serving of food and stood up, deciding he couldn't properly enjoy the meal in the face of Shadow Eternity's antics. He held up a hand which glowed brightly, mystical essence flowing upward and coalescing into a dozen fleshy spheres, which slowly uncurled into serpentine creatures. The Artila fell to the ground, as Dakro raised his hand and clenched his left fist. The serpents and fyora took a spearhead formation behind the heavily armored man, who drew his sword with his right, starting to advance toward the sounds of battle.

Medic - Siberia: New Umbrella Facility Medic winced at Meta-Ridley's angry tone, and the explosion that followed it. Oh dear, it seems like the soldiers did something they weren't supposed to do. Let's see, where did he go wrong in his experiments? Oh no! Only a few days ago he had performed operations on some of the soldiers that resulted in physical enhancements but caused their minds to be more like a brute's! Medic had not planned to stop their rampage, but perhaps it was possible that their mission could still be salvaged. Besides, if he didn't at least try, then he might lose Meta-Ridley as a willing test subject! Medic went over to the commander of the soldiers (Medic himself certainly wasn't the commander; after all, he was just a doctor) and told him that Meta-Ridley was quite displeased with how events turned out. That was enough for the commander to speak in his mic, "Everyone, cease fire! Cease fire!" The other soldiers slowly began to stop firing, but were still taking fire from the guards. The soldiers scrambled for whatever cover they could find. Medic grabbed a megaphone and started shouting, "Hold on, everyone, there's been a misunderstanding! Everyone stop shooting!" Hopefully the guards would stop firing and perhaps the situation could be defused.

Hampus the Red, Meta-Ridley's Ship's Pod Bay's Third Escape Pod's Aft Bench Hampus barely felt anything as the pod touched down. In fact, it was almost like it teleported straight from the pod bay to the ground. The only sign that showed they had moved at all was the rather sudden burst of light coming forth from the porthole on the hatch. "We're here. Ready for the worst part?" Hampus said, as he loudly drummed his hands on the bench. Gripping the hatch-wheel tightly, Hampus opened the hatch. As the hatch slowly swung open, Hampus turned to Our Hero. "Listen, since I'm the wizard, I'll go first. You'll get to watch, okay?" He said, with an air of hauteur completely unlike his previous amicability. Hampus squinted as his eyes adjusted to the light, unaware that they had landed right in front of a searchlight, directly on top of the facility's roof.

Isaac Clarke- CMS Terra Nova Extreior Isaac kept his weapons trained on the machine as it simply walked to the edge. Sparing it would probably be in his best interest, so he merely kept his own guard up, his weapon aimed, and continued to fire at the machine to ensure it would follow through with the escape, but hopefully not enough to kill it. They weren't out of the water yet. Zyland Bannon- CMS Terra Nova, Fore Station The guy could not seemingly be hit at all. Zyland wished they weren't on the ship for a moment- he would have shown this know-it-all what for. He had to hold back though, as his own suit could easily damage the ship. He sighed, grabbed a nearby weapon that he had left on the table earlier, stood in the man's hole, aimed it, and fired. It launched a very wide arc of electric energy that would easily cut through anything organic, and no doubt leave a mark on things that were not. He hoped the arc- which covered almost the entire room in front of him- would not be so easily blocked or dodged this time. Whether succeeding or not, he quickly made his way to the other side of the room to prepare for his next move. Derek Simmons- Neo-Umbrella Facility, Siberia Simmons sighed as the Red Queen reported that the invaders shit the entrance guards on sight. His sigh was not one of worry or disappointment though, it was one of relief. "Perfect. Release our specimens." "Which ones?" The Queen asked. "All of them, he said, "save the Tyrant IIs. I don't want anything getting to our prized specimens. The others should suffice." This order spawned a myriad of various monsters whose sole intent were to kill. Lickers, stories-high Ogromen outside, and many other new and interesting experiments held in the facility. Of course, they were controlled enough that they wouldn't attack Neo Umbrella personnel, leaving their sole focus on the Shadow Eternity invaders. Simmons knew not of the organization he was dealing with, so he sat in his chair, calm and smug as ever, and with a smile to show it.

Kirisame Marisa, Client World 12262009-A
Marisa tilted her head as she got a look at the readouts on the goggles. This was pretty useless, really. And apparently it was pretty necessary to the girl. She needed to defend herself? Weeeell... it was pretty crappy to deprive someone of their only way to be safe. Marisa took tons of stuff but there was no way she did that kind of thing! She didn't understand all the babble that came out of the girl, but she could tell these goggles were really no use to her... normally it wasn't such a big deal, but this time she really had no idea what the hell she was going to do with these things. "Eh... whatever, come here, you can have 'em back," said Marisa, pulling the goggles off and outstretching them towards the pair.
Swordswoman - Restaurant District, Yggdrasil
"... Uh... what is he doing?" the soldiers approached Gilgamesh in confusion. By all rights, he should have pretty effortlessly beaten the hell out of all of them... and now he was surrendering. Their only real chance was to shoot him now, or else it was pretty likely the fight would get a lot, lot harder. And it wasn't like their leader would help. She thought they were all bloodthirsty idiots. And so, they trained their weapons on Gilgamesh, ready to fire. The swordswoman elegantly twirled her katana as the boosters retracted into it. No date? She pouted visibly, inclining her head to the side. That sure was a disappointment... "... Wait, are you saying that you're already devoted to your... onee-sama? Hehehe, so you're telling me you've already got a girlfriend? That's sweet~" She shifted her stance once more, readying her blade. "I already wasn't going to kill you, but this means I'm going to be extra-careful! Here I come!" The air rushed around her as she suddenly launched herself forward at Nono. She aimed for a low sweep with her blade, intending to take Nono's legs off. Again, she expected this not to matter to a robot girl aside from disabling her.
???, Research Facility
Springing back to avoid the blades, the girl holstered her pistol. Her options were limited, here... But she had to do everything she could to stop these people. Even if she failed, she could not fail before trying every option before it became clear it was either failure or death. The UMMA would not want to lose a valuable agent. Or any agent, for that matter. Reaching back, she pulled her antimaterial rifle from her back. She only had one hand to use it, and at close range, the shot was impossible. Perfect. Using what remained of her prosthetic limb, she propped the long gun up, holding it in her right. She wavered. She had to take aim. She had to make it clear what her target was. The girl pulled the trigger, and the result was a tremendous crack, a sound that reverberated through the facility like a roll of thunder. And yet, the shot totally missed. It streaked past Cinder, hurtling beyond her... It hit the wall at an odd angle, and ricocheted, careening for the floor. The angle it hit there caused it to bounce off once more, and sent it hurtling directly for Cinder's back! Even if it couldn't pierce her aura, the girl was sure it would give her some kind of opportunity!

Our Hero - Nobody Cares, Siberia "And so Our Hero's valiant and wise companion takes the initiative!" "How come I never get called valiant or wise?", Our Hero questioned. "Heroes aren't wise; they're heroic. Besides, you aren't particularly valiant." "Hey, I've had my valiant moments!", said the janitor as he climbed out of the escape pod. His oversized, gaudy badge was snagging on the seatbelt, so he removed it and shoved it down his waistband. He left the capsule, his lanky frame causing him to bang his head on the door, "OW! Sonofa..." "Valiant indeed." "That one didn't count!", Our Hero emerged from the cramped pod and spoke to Hampus, "So, uh... wizard, huh? I tried wizarding, once or twice. Never really appealed to me since all the spells were needlessly specific and tended to kill you stone dead if you used the wrong ingredients. You never realize just how hard it is to find root of mandrake until..." Our Hero trailed off, watching the enormous monsters strolling around below, soldiers firing at one another... usually it took an hour or so to get to this point, but it looks like whoever was in charge had decided to skip straight to the "ruining everything for everyone" stage of the adventure. Joy. "My my, what fresh hell has our hero gotten himself into?" "For once I agree with you, Narrator."

Gintoki stared in disbelief at Gilgamesh's actions before being knocked to the floor himself. As he moved to recover from the attack, Gintoki noticed the barrel of the gun pointed straight at his forehead. Time to switch to plan B. "I'm sorry, please forgive me!" he shouted, prostrating himself on the ground for a moment before grabbing his sword. "Or did you think that was serious?" he asked derisively, swinging his bokuto up and destroying the weapon aimed at his face before drawing the attention of some of the gunmen pointing at Gilgamesh back to him. ------- Dio smirked as he noticed the crates that were stolen from Shadow Eternity were sitting neatly stacked in a pyramid nearby. As he began to move towards them, a sudden flash of light appeared. He was a few milliseconds too late in reacting to it, however, and it sliced off his left arm. "I-impossible!" he said, his eyes widening in panic as he used the tentacles in his stump to reattach to his recently-removed arm. He had used too much up in the previous fight, however, which meant that regeneration this time would be much more tedious. Not even that, bu whatever had taken out his arm had also destroyed over half of the crates he was supposed to recover. "For now, I have to retreat...!" he said to himself as he sent The World to go pummel a hole in the hull of the ship. If he could recover at least some of the goods, then the mission couldn't be considered a complete failure. ------- Kakine sighed and smiled, dispelling the Dark Matter knives he had just formed and moving 10032 to be level with the witch. She didn't seem to understand the mechanics behind the equipment, but that didn't seem to be much of an issue anyhow. "Thanks for understanding." Kakine smiled, forming a floating platform of Dark Matter beneath them and letting 10032 down temporarily. "My name's Teitoku. Kakine Teitoku. It's convenient that you speak Japanese, honestly- you don't seem to be from anywhere we're aware of."

Shadow Eternity Sergeant "Redrum", Neo-Umbrella Research Facility, Topside The battle had been going smoothly until those damn Rent-a-cops made way for the freaks. Lumbering and shambling beasts had charged from some sorts of garages and joined the fight, ignoring the security personnel. Privates Howie and Wilhelm, ever the overzealous type, were the first to be caught in the swarm. Howie had fought valiantly, but was... decapitated by some skinless thing with an exposed brain. Wilhelm didn't even see that giant thing coming up behind him, but he did notice the damn thing's foot coming down on his head. Redrum had been trained for just such an occasion, and so were his soldiers. Though they had failed Ridley so far, today was just about to take a turn for the better. Redrum screamed orders into his headset, alerting the rest of the platoon. He had to admit, the latest operation by that doctor fellow had done wonders for his soldiers' ability to listen to orders. "Heavy biotics confirmed! Fall back into formation 'Trio', and switch to Hi-Ex!" Acting almost as a unified force, the other seventeen members of the platoon formed up into small squads of three. One man in the middle pointed directly forwards, and two men flanked him, each covering a 90 degree angle on the middle-man's side. In all, it laid down a field of fire for damn near any hostiles that didn't come from directly behind. With a wave of his hand, Redrum pressed a button on his wrist. His three fellow sergeants did the same. Waves of soft pings resounded across the collected soldiers' Lawbreaker battle rifles, as a tinny voice rattled out a single statement from Redrum's wrist: "High Explosive Rounds-Active" Suddenly, the dull thudding of the soldiers' firing became a ear-pounding roar as their rifles began spewing forth a torrent of explosive rounds. An array of explosions pockmarked one Ograman's upper torso, blowing off head-sized chunks of flesh with each impact. The beast lumbered forward a few steps before falling forward, crushing a hapless Licker in the process. "Keep firing! Keep firing!" Redrum bellowed as the facility's walls became spattered with rancid flesh and the confused and pained roars of the C-Virus mutants drowned out the cacophonic firefight.

Ridge- Client World 102249740-D Ridge sighed as he waved goodbye to his brother and friends before they walked through the portal that shut behind them. This was it. The deed was officially done. The only way to keep Ridge safe was to drop him off at some inhabited world where he would not be able to make contact with his old team again, or vice versa out of choice. He turned and stood on the edge of the cliff that overlooked a city of sorts. "Well, time to go meet the neighbors!" he said in an attempt to cheer himself up. He started to hover down the cliff with his flying ability and he made his way toward the city, hoping to find something to draw his mind away from the recent event. Having his power taken from him was going to be hard. He already felt weird. Weak, even. "Yeesh. How do normal people do it?"

Blake, outside the Passenger Area, UMMA Vessel Tanngrisnir
Blake lowered her pistol slightly as the girl seemed to pause. "Whoever it is you're looking for, storming a UMMA ship is only going to get you arrested or killed. If you told us who you-" Blake's eyebrows knitted slightly in frustration and suspicion as she was cut off by the appearance of the second girl. "What? We're not-" Blake's protests didn't get far as the pigtailed girl charged. In a blink, a shadow clone separated from the black-clad agent and darted forward towards to meet the charge, blades crossed defensively in front of it. Blake herself jumped backwards, returning her pistol to its sword form with a flick of her wrist. She knew the clone would flicker out as soon as it was hit - the idea was to gauge what they were dealing with and buy them a few seconds. "Wait! We haven't 'taken' anyone!"

Nono, Restaurant District - Yggdrasil Fortunately Nono (somehow) maintained her composure at the Katana Lady's ridiculous words, as if this wasn't weird enough already. "No, she is not my girlfriend. Onee-sama is Onee-sama, and the bond we share is stronger than something so impersonal." OF course, one could wonder what Saber thought about that, but Nono could be remarkably...insistent, on such things. She readied herself again, glad that apparently death was not in the cards, but wondering as well how someone could be extra careful about not killing another person. But that didn't matter at the moment, so she dismissed that from her thought routines to focus on more important things. For example, the low attack aimed at her legs. Since having those cut off would be problematic, Nono sprang into action, literally springing into the air and using her thrusters to rocket up, above, and behind the Katana Lady, before spinning about, giving herself a push downwards, and plunging at the woman for another kick. Not an Inazuma Kick, but there wasn't enough time for that, and it wouldn't make that much of a difference anyway. --- Cinder Fall - Research Facility Fortunately for Cinder at this point, Charlotte got out of her way, cheering happily about her own small victory, and leaving Cinder to fight. Not that it brought it any closer to ending as the girl managed to dodge her sword strikes, but it was a start. She was smiling, confident, and though Charlotte wandered off, it wasn't that big a deal so long as the Witch didn't eat what they had come for. Moving, she reacted quickly as the girl levered her gun and fired, spinning about on her heels as her eyes and dress flared orange, blocking the ricocheting bullet with her palm. It seemed that even the higher caliber wouldn't be enough to get past whatever blocking technique she used. Of course, Cinder was expecting the girl to try something, so she moved against as she spun to face forward once more, her free hand pulled out another via of Dust which she emptied into the air, formed into crystals with manipulation, and sent flying at the girl. Compared to the last time though, she was prepared, and once they reached a certain point she would ignite part of the Dust, splintering the crystals and sending them at her target like a shotgun blast of tiny shards. And, of course, to dodge whatever follow up she came up with. That would probably do the trick. --- Misaka 10,032 - Client World 12262009-A Perhaps it was the function of the goggles themselves, or the description Misaka had provided, but either way the thief had apparently become bored with the item she had taken, and thus gave them back without a second thought. Settling down on the platform of Dark Matter that Kakine provided, she lowered her Toy Soldier, thumbing the safety on. "'Thank you,' Misaka says with sincere gratitude," Misaka replied, taking the electron goggles from the girls outheld hand, placing them back atop their customary position on her forehead. Now that she had that back, she had effective use of all her ability. And since now seemed to be introduction time, Misaka provided one as well. "'I am Misaka Mikoto,' Misaka says, introducing herself with her assigned cover identity." Such a roundabout way of speaking probably inspired more questions, especially on this 'cover identity', but that was how her mind worked sometimes.

Hampus the Red, Neo-Umbrella's Siberian Facility's Rooftop's Helipad Carnage was all that Hampus could think of. Loud noises, roaring monsters, blood splattering everywhere, it was as if someone had packed a slaughterhouse full of fireworks and blew it up. Fortunately, since Hampus and Our Hero were on the roof, they were largely ignored by all parties involved. Sweating profusely, Hampus scurried away from the roof's edge and leaned heavily on Pod 3. Stress clouding his senses, Hampus turned his thoughts inwards. Holy hell, I was almost in that. Me! If I get caught by any of those guys down there, I'm dead! There's got to be a better way down than over the roof... Hampus looked around frantically for a door or a ladder or something. A rather inconspicuous metal door protected by little more than a keypad attached to its handle was the only thing on the roof besides the helipad and the searchlights. Hampus tried the door, but found it locked. Fear giving way to self-ignoring anger, Hampus beat at the door and completely failed to have any noticeable effect on it. Now exhausted by a few seconds of "tremendous" exercise, Hampus turned away from the door and shouted to Our Hero. "Hey, you! Get this door open!"

Our Hero - Somewhere, Siberia "Ooh, a puzzle! Now here's something Our Hero is actually capable of doing!" "I know that was sarcasm-", Our Hero replied as he screwed an oversize wingnut onto the pipe he had grabbed, forming a makeshift hammer, "-But I didn't get my Masters in Adventuring for nothing." "Should have entered the Smithing, Tinkering, Elbow-grease, and Magic program." Our Hero smashed the spotlight with his makeshift hammer, returning it to his pants and retrieving at the same time a prosthetic hand, "Yeah, yeah; should have done STEM, that's what they always say-", he plucked the still-hot wire filament from the spotlight with the prosthetic hand, "-but I'll have you know I wouldn't swap my major for anything, even if it's not as respected as other degrees." "Or respected at all, for that matter." "Oh yeah? Would someone with a STEM degree be able to do this?" He grabbed a handle-less screwdriver from his pants and levered off the face of the keypad, where he connected the filament to both ends of the circuit, creating a short and causing the automated safety protocols to trigger with a high-pitched beep, unlocking the door. "If they'd taken a lockpicking elective, they probably wouldn't have to do that.", the narrator pointed out. Our Hero visibly drooped, unable to find a counterargument. "Let's- let's just go, Hampus.", he said, dejectedly.

Hampus the Red, Neo-Umbrella's Siberian Facility's Roof's Rooftop Entrance's Doorway Hampus scoffed wizardly when he saw Our Hero fiddling with the keypad. "I didn't ask for you to shake the handle, normie. Let me--" Hampus' smug order was abruptly interrupted as Our Hero successfully hacked the keypad and opened the door. With his pathetic levels of self-esteem rapidly draining, Hampus dejectedly shuffled through the door. "You're p-pretty good, normie. J-just follow me, and I'll lead the way. O-okay?" As the battle raged outside, Hampus and Our Hero managed to successfully infiltrate the facility. All they'd have to do now is, y'know, not get shot by the guards posted inside. Somehow, Hampus thought, that seemed to be the easier part. Fortunately, the facility's guards seemed to be preoccupied with the Shadow Eternity goons rampaging outside.
