Alright. Sorry for the delay again but I posted. As for the loot..I'm letting you guys judge what you should get. Whoever wants the Boss Cleaver can have it...as that was actually going to be a boss drop anyways ;) I can take all your names and randomly pick one to see who gets it if you'd like. Or we can all just decide here, either way is fine with me :) Just don't give yourself too much you know? Be reasonable. No ultra powerful stuff.

I'm not sure if a giant-ass cleaver would fit into the RP... maybe the Cardinal system could "transform" the weapon into a different form that's actually meant to be used by a player. Just my thoughts though. Anyways, time to get reading!

It's been a long day... Thank you for pointing that out :) The Cleaver will be player size. Not gargantuan.

Don't worry about it. I do find myself busy almost all day. Speaking of posting I probably owe this RP a post more than anyone at this point.

Ah, by the way. I don't want to sound nit-picky, but Alex's username is T1m, but it's a damn stupid username so he doesn't use it to refer to himself often. So, yeah. Technically, the party only knows him as Tim right now.

It's best to go with what everyone else is doing and use your character's display name as opposed to their real-life name. If people see "Alex" written repeatedly in a post, it's counter-intuitive to everyone to suddenly start writing "Tim". In the SAO light novels, the author avoids this confusion by always using "Kirito" (for example) to refer to the character while inside the game, and "Kazuto" while he's in the real world. Makes sense, since Kirito is the one doing the face-slicing in the virtual world while Kazuto is lying in a bed doing nothing in the real world.

Well, I should probably refer to him as Tim in game, but I didn't really think it through when I thought of it

Short post is short. Tanking is legitimately the most boring thing you can do in an MMO. At least healers have to think triage.

Personally I've enjoyed just about every role in the MMOs I've played. Tanking can get frustrating when boss aggro goes out of control and starts taking out your squishies, but I do like the "no f*cks given" playstyle when it comes to PvPing as a tank. My favorite role has to be heavy armor mages, even though your raw damage suffers because of the stat requirements for heavy armor, your crowd-control and disable durations are usually fixed numbers that only depend on skill level. An unkillable CC/debuff/disable machine is very, very scary.

I've always gone with pure glass cannon builds; massive burst damage in the first ten seconds, then run away from anything still standing. Makes for a hell of a fun game. Every time I try tanking or even have a character with high defence, the game just becomes a matter of standing still and pressing the right buttons at the right time. Much prefer the idea of dying in a couple of hits; pure adrenaline in PvP.

Hehe we're complete opposites in our playstyles it seems. :D Back when I played MMOs (I haven't for years), I kept to guild vs guild PvP, so having a tanky build and not dying was very important. Being tanky allows you to be useful even when you're not actively attacking, for example, if you've been stunned or CC'ed - you can't do anything, so might as well stay alive and take as many hits as you can. Every enemy that's attacking you is one less enemy that's attacking someone else in your guild/party. Staying alive is important for group morale, if your guildmates are watching each other dying off like flies, they're going to very quickly lose their will to fight. Likewise, being difficult to kill damages the enemy's morale as they start feeling helpless when their attacks [seem to] do nothing. Then again, I may be in the minority since I have an "Art of War" mindset when it comes to PvP. You know, "act strong when you are weak, act weak when you are strong" kind of thinking.

Alright! Sorry for taking so long to post :P But now I figured that since the boss was dead all of our players would start winding down and go their separate ways. Then, the story would pick up the "next day" in the RP. Now since we are doing this I just wanted to say that we don't have to just strictly follow the main story that I had planned out. We are playing in a MMORPG. I made my character be a smith/crafts(wo)man for a reason. I might one day when the story is kind of slow or just cause have Arina be like, "Would you or (insert players who want to participate) mind helping me go extract some rare material from some dangerous dungeon or area." You know? And I will post side quests that we can do periodically so we won't just follow some cookie cutter story. ALSO. If YOU have an idea for a side quest or for some random thing that your character wants to do then don't hesitate to ask! Send me a PM with your quest or..adventure? Idea and we'll go from there! I will most likely always accept it. And if we do this and (this is just for an example, sorry Stella, I just see you post above this and I just decided to use you xD) Stella doesn't want her character to go along with this. Then once we finish our side mission thing we can all come back together and Stella can say her character was off leveling or something so we can all stay on the same field of playing. One last thing about Quests and stuff: I know it is mentioned in the ALFheim story arc that there are legendary? weapons that players can get after completing some hard quest line. I.e. Excalibur for Kirito. Since we have the Cardinal system in play we can say that it is randomly generating new legendary weapons every now and then. But..not like crazy. Then say Fuyuko learns of a new legendary war hammer that she wants and wants us to help, we can go do that as well. I just, don't want anyone to get bored you know? I want us to have as much fun with this as possible and do all the things we want to do, within reason xD. -- But that's my spill for now. Also, some good character development should be coming soon :P Now that we aren't really fighting we can just have a good time with our characters. That sounds dirty. Only if you want it to be. Awesome posts, again! Just get used to me saying that okay? You guys are good writers and I love it so bleh. But, if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask here! Or PM me.. It's whatever :D

I was just thinking that too. Knowing the boss's name would be nice for the next boss encounter.
