Welcome to The Game! By now, you have all received a phone call, and completed the first Challenge. Only a few technicalities left. The Game will take place in the fictitious city of Somewhere, USA. This may in fact be a real place, I just didn't take the time to Google it. For our purposes, this is not a real place, not that it really matters. :) Basically, your fine characters are ordinary people. Each of them have strengths and weakness unique to themselves. Different outlooks on life, different moral compasses, etc. During The Game, we will find out how different they all really are. Each of you will be getting PMs from me. This will be done in cycles, so basically, the story will open with me giving each of you a unique starting point, and then after everyone has had time to respond, phone calls (PMs) will be made. You will want to include the phone call in your post, so that you can RP your character's response, thought process, and completion of the task. This will be the cycle. Now, depending on how well you RP, you may be able to speed the cycle up for your character, but don't rely on that. Remember, the only thing your characters will have in common in the beginning is that they have all received a phone call, and are playing The Game. They are not aware that anyone other than themselves are part of this. Please do your best to remember this. Should your character, at some point, discover that others are playing, please RP the interactions according to the rules of The Game. Again, the rules of The Game are: 1. 13 Challenges yielding increasingly greater rewards will be given to you over the phone, over the next 36 hours 2. Complete a Challenge, and the reward amount will be deposited into your bank account. 3. Fail to complete a Challenge, and The Game is over, all winnings will be lost. 4. Telling anyone that you are playing The Game is strictly forbidden, resulting in all winnings to be lost. 5. Complete all 13 Challenges, and you win. Only one of you can win. Your characters will be told the rules IC, but keep these in mind when posting. If I missed anything, please feel free to ask questions and make suggestions. There is likely something that I haven't considered.

Should there be a way to defect? I mean I know you can just not complete the challenge, but is there a way to just sort of say; "Look it was fun and all but I'd rather not do (whatever it is they've been asked to do) I'm just gonna drop out now" And them lose the money. or some thing like that. Just wondering. Or do they just not even bother starting the challenge? Also on another note I am gonna start my CS as soon as I can tomorrow, bed is calling. Edit while I'm thinking about it;

Hmmm. I am not sure how to answer this definitively. Would this be for reasons that your character has, or are you referring to personal limitations. It is set up so that refusal of the challenge comes with 'loss of the game', as well as other consequences inflicted based upon decisions made. Maybe you could clarify a little more? I don't want to spoil anything, so I am trying to be careful here. :) Also, this is probably a good point to post a disclaimer: I would assume that the title would lead most to believe that this will most likely lead itself to graphic/gory/inhumane actions and decisions. I just want ensure that everyone is aware of that going forward. If there are any sensitive areas we should be aware of/avoid, please let me know, as I am currently going at this with no specific filters in place.

This is just race and lineage. It will likely tie into your history depending how much of that your character knows, and all. Basically race. Not super important, but I use a CS template. :)

Ahh I don't mind gore (much) I just cant stand gory Details. so if they could be avoided or adding a note at the beginning of a post warning of gory details, that would be nice. If not I don't have to be here I guess, if I can't handle it. :) As for my original question; basically if they are given something as a challenge that they can't do whether it's cause they physically can't or because it goes against their morals, or whatever, can they just drop out or do they have to attempt the challenge? Don't worry, I'm lost myself now, so if you understood and have an answer than 'YAY'. If not don't worry I'll figure it out, or find a better way to phrase it. Actually if I knew exactly what I was asking that would be perfect, so yeah long sentence short; don't worry about it. :) Oh and thanks for the explanation for the Ethnicity/Nationality question. stuff like that goes straight over my head otherwise. :) (I have decided I like smiley faces, I think I'm overusing them.)

I think the short answer here is yes, they could choose not to complete a challenge, but this would cause them to lose The Game, and could potentially lead to more negative consequences. So, long answer is it depends on your character, and how they react to the particular situation, considering all the different variables. These are the dilemmas that I hope this RP causes. I want the characters to question their morality, motives, and overall will power. Overall, I think, if done properly and honestly, quitting won't be an option, but if you RP well enough, I could be wrong.�

Yeah. It is only a guideline, just make sure you are cover every thing you want us to know :)

Ah ah ah.... Is my CS fine?

Looks good. Only thing I would ask is that you clarify the last part where you state she sees humans as something else. Could you personify that a little so I understand completely? Other than that, all gravy! :) I've been busy today, so it's taken me longer than usual to reply. I don't know when the IC will start, as we still only have one CS posted, and one promised. If we have to run this with only two, that's fine with me if yall are cool with that. Let me know what you guys want to do.

Ok, her back story is kinda common, but back-stories are kinda hard for me and so I do what I can. But I like her. If you have any problems with it let me know and I'll review her CS at a reasonable time rather than getting close to midnight. :)

Thanks. I typed and posted my CS close to midnight, which for me isn't that weird, (I often stay up till two or three in the morning), but by then I'm heading for crazy land. :) Meaning that often I type and post things without really thinking them through. I try not to though, so most times I can stop myself, and then I go and post something really, really random.

Im going to try to post as often as I can, but I'm not currently in the right position to post all the time because of personal stuff.
