**Buck Bradley - MEC - Farren/Dean/Robert/John/Victoria** Buck stood silently for a few minutes. He observed the interactions between Farren, Dean and Robert. He listened with heartbreak to Robert's story, finally mumbling, "Sorry for your loss." He truly was. Losing people never got any easier. He did his best to evade Robert's inquiry about how long they'd been out there and where he was from. He wasn't ready yet to talk about what had happened before he met Farren. Instead he tried to make light of the situation by joking, "Well I just ran across these two yesterday. Till then I was holed up in the nicest shed you've ever seen. Just mindin' my own business." Buck was eager to ask more questions of his own. Robert seemed like he might be willing to share some important details. He held his tongue, though, as John and Victoria arrived on the scene. Buck managed to greet John with a curt nod. That was as friendly as he would start this morning. Let's hear what the big shot had to say in the light of day. Victoria was another matter, however. Buck was no expert in psychology, but it was obvious that she and John were close. If he could win her over maybe he could improve the odds for he, Farren and Dean. "Well good mornin' Red," he said with a wide smile, ignoring her command to not call her that from last night. "I think we got off on the wrong foot last night." He turned his head to Farren and winked discreetly. "I'm not really what you'd call a people person, see? Just ask Farren here, she can vouch for that. But I can tell that I really upset you and I want to make that right." He stuck out his hand. "What do ya say? Can we start over?"

John Teller and Robert Oswald - MEC - Farren/Buck/Dean/Tori After his conversation with Tori - which actually brightened up his day already - her and John headed down the hall and bumped into the others. The whole 'group' was together near the center stairs, nodding good mornings and seeming rather quiet. John didn't speak yet, he smiled at Farren's little fellow who he hadn't the pleasure of meeting yet. He then gave the mother a pleasant smile too, showing his admiration for Dean's cuteness. It had been a long long time since John had laid eyes upon a child. It gave him hope that children still had some kind of hope in a world such as this - filled with terror and arrogance. Robert seemed to be feeling better this morning too. It looked as though he enjoyed the company of these newcomers, worshiping every day of his life, despite losing the woman he dearly loved. He walked upright and confidently, as though he was reborn from the night before - like a phoenix. John enjoyed seeing Robert like this, not drowned in agony. He'd only seen him break down one time before when his wife had gotten a mere fever. The old man feared she would soon turn into one of those creatures, but God was on his side, for he prayed every minute of that day. Ironic because he always said his wife was the religious one. But anyway, the group seemed to be somewhat more united than the night before. The situation was no longer the same - they were no longer in imminent danger. The silence was disrupted by the words of the giant. John didn't like his voice, nor the concept of his words. The man understood the giant wanted to do right by both of them, but actions spoke louder than words. So John made a decision that could definitely hurt him, but had the utmost belief that not all of God's remaining creatures were bad. Therefore he stepped forward and stood beside Tori as his eyes locked onto Buck's. "You and Tori are going to make a supply run today" he started, looking at Tori as to say 'yeah, I changed my mind'. Despite his worries, he did need some clarity, and had the utmost trust in Tori to get this done. The girl was very tough, not as sweet as she appeared. She could also handle herself in nearly any situation. What she said earlier was right, John did indeed teach her a lot and she learned quickly. Nonetheless, this decision to let Buck go with her was risky. The guy was twice her size, had twice the muscle, and could most likely overpower her in any situation. So he was gonna make sure he was handicapped for the ride. "You'll be taking the ambulance" John continued, unstrapping the key to the ambulance from his belt and giving it to Tori. "It's safer than the Honda. Has a little more 'steel' to it if you know what I'm saying" he said, turning to Tori again. "I need you two to head to my house. It's just a couple miles east of here, I'll show y'all on the map after we get settled in for the morning. Oh! That reminds me. Did y'all eat this morning? If any of you want anything else please let one of us know beforehand. I'd like to go through some rules if y'all don't mind, but please, follow me" John stated, walking down the hallways towards a small lunchroom the had down the corridor. "This is the lunchroom obviously. We've taken the liberty to have 'family dinners' most nights. We eat together, that's a rule now" John smiled, liking the thought of eating with friends - despite their initial unfriendliness. "For your boy there Ms. Farren, there's a little daycare just near the back of the next hallway, room 128. It has all kinds of toys and stuff" he smiled at her, trying to show his niceness despite being kind of strict. He was just laying down the foundation of their daily exercises - it was necessary to survive. "Anyway. I wont bother you with night watch rotations or morning shift watches because Tori and I will take care of them for now until you two have gotten acquainted with everything. Lunch starts at 2 p.m. I know it sounds late, but because were running short on food right now, we have to skip the snacks, I'm sorry. We have more bodies to feed now, so we have to cut some things down a little. Water fountains are still running perfect, so if you're thirsty, grab a cup or bottle of water and dig in. Place runs on its own water system, we were blessed. John decided to move onto the table and sit, asking everyone to join him because he was going to be talking for a while longer. Robert pulled a chair back to allow Farren to sit, being a gentlemen as he put on a very sweet smile for her and the boy. "Now let us talk about yesterday's events. We took you in and I said that I needed to ask a few questions. If I'm not mistaken, you told me you'd answer them today. I'm sorry that I'm coming off a little strong, but I need these questions answered. You three are strangers to us, so we need to know a little more about you. I'd like to start off by knowing if ya'll are from around here and what you did before all this went down, occupation wise. I need to know any medical history that's relevant to your well being. And I need to know if you've heard any news lately about anything relevant to what's going on out there? My radio died about three months ago. Last thing I heard is a radio frequency from Missouri. They said they had a large community shelter in place created by the U.S. Armed Forces. But after a while, we heard nothing more. That's all I need from you now" John exclaimed, being as calm and collective as he could. He didn't want to come off as intimidating or as though he was interrogating them, he wasn't a cop.

Farren – MEC – Buck/John/ Robert/Victoria Farren nodded as Mr. Oswald explained his time since the world had gone to hell. “I’m so sorry,” she whispered when Robert said his wife was departed. Farren hesitated to answer his questions about her and her son though, seeing as how it might be easier to wait until they were all gathered. She was sure the security guard from last night had that among the questions he was interested in asking. And as if on cue, up walked the red headed teen and John, hugging the elderly man. Farren glanced to Buck as he only spoke of the time since he’d known Farren. And after his cry of ‘No, you won’t take them too,’ she could only imagine the last thing he wanted to talk about was what he’d been through. It was a hard question for most. “We’re a lot nicer than a shed though right?” she smirked, teasing Buck and bumping him slightly with her hip. She caught Buck’s wink when he addressed Victoria and smiled, glad he was trying to apologize a bit. Although discreet, Farren picked up on John’s smile to her son. She turned to Dean and smirked at him. He was busy looking between each person. Bucks outrageous beard. Mr. Oswald’s friendly smile. Tori’s bright hair. John’s warmth. Dean was a bit overwhelmed at seeing all the people though and so he just stared, little lips parted into a small ‘o’ shape and eyes bright. Farren looked back to John and smiled back and him as he smiled at her, nodding a greeting. She was glad things were already seeming more smooth than they had the night before. Farren was surprised when John instructed that Buck was to take Victoria on a supply run. Apparently, he trusted Buck more than Farren had estimated. Probably more than Buck had estimated as well. “You’ll count yourself lucky to have him if things go south,” she smiled reassuringly to Victoria, remembering the night before. She owed her life to him as much as he did to her. “Little guy here ate most of the yogurt,” Farren admitted, looking a little embarrassed to have let him scarf down two things of yogurt. But with it laying right there she’d hardly been able to deny him. “But I ate. Buck didn’t,” she added, wanting to make sure Buck got something to eat before this supply run he was supposed to take. Being a mother to one made her want to mother others even when they didn’t need it sometimes. “Dean and I are fine though,” she reassured John with a nod. Farren followed down towards the lunchroom, bobbing her son on her hip a little when John spoke about the toy room, making Dean smirk and look between the two of them. She sat down with him at the table when John motioned for everyone to, son still attached to her hip. She took in everything John was asking her to explain, and looked downward. She looked back up and decided to just be as frank as possible. “Prior to the outbreak I was a conservationist at a National Forest area. I have a Bachelor’s in biology. I grew up just a few hours away from here I think. It takes so much longer by foot,” she said, a weary smile from memories of constantly being on the move flashing through her deep blue eyes. “Dean is allergic to bananas and penicillin. I’m not allergic to anything and I don’t have any medical needs that require anything. He doesn’t either. I’m afraid I don’t stay in one place long enough to learn much, so I don’t have anything to add when it comes to news from the outside world,” she ended, clearing her throat and glancing to Buck, as sure he’d have something to say.

Ada Cinet - 5 minutes out from Boerne, Some rich German guy's house - Clayton Burrows Who the hell was Frederick von Westphalen? Ada had slept like a baby, not in the metaphorical way, where one slept completely silently and without issue, but in a way closer to reality in regards to babies, where she woke every other hour with a fright. Either to fight some imaginary sicko she heard in the creaky house, or in fear of the fact that she was sleeping in a house with man she knew nothing about. Clayton seemed like a decent person, he had kept his promise to her, gotten her out of Bandera after she had gotten them both out of the horde and he was frank about his lack of any desire to take advantage of her-- still, she had fallen asleep without taking any real precautions. Her lack of sleep had influenced her the night before, but she knew it was mostly because of an instinctive desire to trust. Regardless. She was up for good now, she couldn't have gotten more than 4 hours of sleep, even less REM sleep, but still, she felt refreshed just to have new clothes and a night in an actual bed. She had changed out of her gore covered garb a bit after the two had secured the place for the night. Whomever Frederick von Westphalen was, he had a wife. Or perhaps just a girlfriend? A daughter who for some reason kept clothes in his room? A penchant for cross-dressing, maybe? Whatever it was, she was thankful for their presence in his drawers. The house didn't appear looted at all, apparently Boerne-- and Bandera-- perhaps Texas as a whole, weren't exactly overflowing with survivors. It was a double edged sword for Ada, part of her stubbornly wanted to keep away from others, another part though... after spending the night with someone decent like Clayton... perhaps longed for the companionship she hadn't had before all this began. Either way, the lack of looting gave her a better selection of what she got to wear. Black skinny jeans, brown blouse... they were big on her, but not uncomfortably so-- and darker clothes were much preferable over the attention drawing bright clothes that Mr. von Westphalen had seemed to prefer for himself. Besides, belts were good, anything leather was good, leather could withstand a bite or two, and it was getting colder. Who the hell was Frederick von Westphalen? Ada had been awake for at least 30 minutes now, staring at the ceiling of the dimly lit foreign mansion, recounting her night, how she had gotten here, what she was wearing, the mysterious older man she had met, and... thinking of that question. Who. The. HELL. Was. Frederick von Westphalen??? Ada could think of several answers, the most prevalent among them being, 'Someone who is probably dead now.' That didn't satisfy her, though. What was a wealthy German doing in bumfuck Texas? Was he alive? What did he do before all this began? Was he a good person? Why do you care? She didn't know. She had guesses; that she was using her curiosity towards minutiae like this as a distraction from reality, that by thinking of people like this, they didn't die in vain, that her own isolation had begun to wear at her sanity, and she had developed neurotic thinking patterns. But she didn't really know, just like she couldn't ever really know who Frederick von Westphalen was-- not unless she left the bed at the very least. Maybe she was just curious? She fished out the driver's license she had found the night before, staring into the faded image of Frederick von Westphalen. He didn't even look German, he just looked like some redneck-- also who leaves their driver's license on their night stand? Was this even his house? She narrowed her eyes and tilted her head before the staring contest she was doomed to lose ended in a yawn. She wiped the sleep out of her eyes as the pale blue light of early dawn began to touch her face. With a grunt, she rolled herself out of bed. A chill shot its way up her spine as her bare feet touched the cold wooden floor of the bedroom. Her legs still felt sore, but the only soreness one felt after an intense workout, it wasn't painful to stand like it was when she had passed out the night before. Mr. von Westphalen had a gorgeous selection of boots to chose from, but Ada had ultimately opted to stick with her reliable converse. Less noise was better, sickos never went directly for the feet anyway. She did find herself taking from the selection of new socks, however. As she crouched in front of his sock drawer, putting on her shoes, with the added comfort of new silk socks, her mind when back to the question of his identity. She couldn't find a leather coat in his room, so she made her way to his bathroom. His room was sparsely decorated, but the few pictures he did have seemed to show him-- Mr. von Westphalen, the man in the picture on the license-- with other people, mostly women (girlfriends? Coworkers? Family?) and a select few rotund, hairy, and very serious looking men. They were very stereotypically German looking. The house didn't have it's own water-- but he had enough in reserve to help with basic hygiene. No point to it, really, she'd probably end up covering herself in sick intestines before day's end, but it helped her feel better about herself. Despite her curiosity, she found herself only passively looking for clues to the man's identity, perhaps out of respect for the well preserved house. Still, on top of the toilet she found a book titled 'Mainzer Adelsverein at Biebrich am Rhein' and Ada found herself trying to make sense of the foreign tongue and she made her way downstairs. A few pages seemed to be bookmarked, with highlights and notes thankfully in English. Most of the pages seemed to be in regards to something called the 'Adelsverein' and notes that talked about a revival of whatever that was. Ada couldn't make sense of most of it, however, an article did seem to imply Mr. von Westphalen was, through his Great-Great-Great-Grandfather, the Great-Great-Great-Nephew-in-law of Karl Marx. Which was certainly... something? Ada let out a yawn as she reached the bottom of the stairs and placed the book on a table next to the door. Sleep only did so much, she was still fatigued, she needed to eat soon. From the bottom of the stairs she looked towards the kitchen, and in it's direction, Clayton, the other man of mystery in this house. He had fallen asleep at the extravagant glass dining room table, apparently having stayed up much later than her to keep watch out of the several windows on the lower level of the house. Ada gently walked over to him, not wanting to wake him. He slept in a way that anyone from a distance wouldn't even think he was sleeping, he wasn't even slightly hunched over. She recalled the night before, they had both been disappointed to learn that, despite an excessive lifestyle, rich people tended to keep their kitchens stocked with fresh... generally perishable foods. They were going to part ways soon. Unzipping her bag, Ada began gently placing a few of the cans she had gotten from the trailer yesterday near Clayton's sleeping form. Ripping a blank page out of the Mainzer Adelsverein at Biebrich am Rhein book, she wrote a note to him.
Hoisting her bag back over her shoulder, Ada closed the door to the house gently behind her. As she began to walk, she got out her mp3 to play for her some faint and faded music. Behind her was Clayton and the Westphalen house, mysteries that would remain unsolved, ahead of her lay a cracked street, a cool Texan morning and a towering hospital, ripe for the picking. Despite the size differences of the other clothes, her new leather jacket felt fitted to her small form, and her looted pistol fit right between the belt and jeans. As her eyes darted across the street, for any movement that could threaten her, she couldn't help but feel a bit rejuvenated as she began walking in tune with the beat.

Buck Bradley - MEC - Farren/Dean/Robert/John/Victoria Buck blushed. Fortunately for him his beard did a good job of hiding his embarrassment. The "hip bump" from Farren, no matter how small of a gesture, caused him to go sheepish. "Darlin'," he teased back, "you never got to see that shed remember? Aw, heck, maybe the company is better here." He wished he could think of more clever things to say. He had to admit, the desire to put a smile on Farren's face just kept increasing the more time he spent with her. John's order to accompany Victoria was met with a grin full of gritted teeth. He didn't know if the man was trying to get under his skin or not with such a direct order, but Buck was willing to play nice. For now. He hoped a cooperative attitude would surprise John and maybe help smooth things over from last night, even if it wasn't a formal apology. "Whatever you say, Bossman," he said in as cheerful a tone as he could manage. "Don't let it be said that we're not willing to pull our weight." He looked at Victoria, "After seeing her in action last night I'm sure Red here can protect me out there on the mean streets." He grinned at the girl widely. Buck listened to Farren's concerns about him not eating. Despite wanting to play the tough guy, he had to admit he was starving. "Would be nice to grab a bite to eat before heading out." He listened to John's description of their routines and meal plans. Sounded like they had a pretty good system going here. He took a seat when the group sat at the table. John laid out his series of questions and Buck listened as Farren gave her answers. When she finished and looked at him he continued to cooperate. "Well, originally I'm from up north. Maine, originally, close to the Canadian border. My job is actually what brought me down to these parts. I am - was - a pro--wrestler. We were scheduled to do a show down here just before the outbreak." He paused trying to remember what else John had asked. "Medical? Fit as a fiddle besides losing weight from starving most of the time. Been on my own out here for quite a while now. No radio, no other way to get news. Was with some people for a while, they had some military guys with them who were trying to set up a secure location, maybe turn the tide." He paused, remembering. "It didn't end well." That was all he would say about that for now. No use bringing up painful memories. "Since then the only people I've run into weren't the sort to give news. Not the sort I'd want to run with either." He looked at Farren and smiled. "'Till last night, anyways."

Cole - On the Run A ringing in his ears, loud enough to almost drown at the raucous noise just beyond the walls. A soft hum could be heard despite all this-- a light whistling that reminded Cole of his mother. A harsh banging was occurring just behind him, a body slamming itself constantly into the side of the trailer. A rough growling was coming from the window in front of Cole, a diseased hand cutting itself up trying to push through the plastic. He stared at this hand-- his knife gripped harshly in his own-- even as sweat dripped and stung at his eyes. It finally occurred to Cole that it was he who was humming. "I'll drag 'em away," his father had said thirty minutes ago, rushing out of the trailer to potentially pull the horde away to a different location. It had worked, somewhat, leaving only a small group behind. Their trailer having been broken into recently, the pair of them only had one gun between them, and not nearly enough ammunition to clear out a significant group of the undead. So, Cole had waited for his father to return with that beauty of a rifle so that they could be free of these nuisances, but Cole was getting tired of waiting. His entire body felt hot, and a stabbing pain had nestled deep in the back of his head. The lack of hydration was no doubt going to be the death of him if these rotters didn't get to him first. Then-- a sudden crash from the front of the trailer could be heard. Perhaps they'd finally broke the barricade on the door (and it was only a barricade, with the lock having been previously broken by the looters). Cole wasn't immediately concerned, his focus still on this hand reaching through the window. Oh, how he'd come to loathe this hand within the last thirty minutes. He hadn't tried to stab at it for fear of it accidentally pulling his knife away, but Cole was rapidly losing his senses. The heat felt like it was enveloping him, wrapping around his spine and tugging incessantly at every one of his nerves. His arms felt numb and in pain, yet his legs felt jittery like lightning. With the sounds from the front getting louder, Cole decided he was done with waiting. Swearing, he jumped forward, planting his knife into the rotting hand. It wasn't living, so it didn't care much about this sudden development beyond becoming more erratic in its movements. Like Cole's sensible side had feared, the rotter pulled backward, slamming the knife's hilt into the window. It was the window that gave way. With a sizable hole now available to it, the rotter reached inside with both arms, pulling itself up enough to get its head through the broken window. Cole could only swear once again as slammed the heel of his boot into the monster's face and smash its head upon the wall. With it dead, Cole grabbed his knife back and made his way to meet the problem at the front-- "Jesus christ!" he exclaimed at the sight. A fat one had gotten through, his sizable gut (naked and sporting a number of open wounds) stuck in the doorway. It would have been funny, if not for the group behind him, ready to burst inside once the rotter dam was broken. Cole reasoned that he could take them one-on-one once they got inside-- there really wasn't much room in there-- but he knew they'd be crawling all over each other and swarming him given enough time. Instead, Cole rushed to the back and pushed the dead one through the window. Distantly, he noticed the banging from behind him was gone now. A little too late, he thought, tossing his knife outside the window before pushing his own head through. The light of the sun blinded him at first, causing him to slip slightly as he leaned his body forward. He held on tight, cutting his hands in the process, so that he could make sure he was ready for the head first fall. It was normally not much of a height, but the trailer sat on pairs of cinder blocks, making this fall out to be a potentially damaging one. He looked down toward the dead rotter on the ground and let go, banging his leg against the top of the window in the process. He managed to twist himself mid-air to land on his shoulder as opposed to his head. He landed roughly in the dirt, his lower body landing on the rotter and emitting a gross squishing sound. With no time to worry about the stink, Cole stumbled to his feet, his head whipping back and forth ins search for the dropped knife (a meager weapon, but his only one). He found it eventually sitting underneath the trailer, but by this time, some of the crowd at the door had took notice of him, changing their plan of action. Taking them on was out of the question, so Cole had only one option-- run. He'd have to find a safe place to stay and possibly return to find his father later. Hell, he'd tell Cameron to leave the piece of junk trailer behind. It had been a shitty place to stay anyway.
As he ran, his legs pumping with adrenaline, Cole began to hum.

John Teller - MEC - Farren/Buck/Victoria/Robert The 'leader' took in all the information, making sure to processing everything that was important. The fact that Farren had biology background meant that she may have some knowledge in the medical field, but that was just an assumption John took notice to. What took him by surprise was Buck's job history. He thought he was just some kind of farmer or a lumberjack, but wrestler? He would of never imagined. So John wasn't sure if he should believe that or not. If he was indeed a wrestler, he may show more of a threat than expected - or an asset. But anyway, John proceeded by standing up and moving to get a food tray for the giant. He moved behind the buffet counters and headed to the back fridges to pick one up. After returning, he set the tray in front of Buck and gave a simple nod, obviously still wary about speaking to him more than he had to. "I hope y'all got a good night's rest yesterday because today we have work to do. You are no longer guest here, you are members of this group" John started, looking into the eyes of all three of them, though one obviously didn't know what was going on - Dean. "Let us talk about this run you and Tori will be going on today" John continued, pulling out a little map he had tucked in his back pocket. He unfolded it and placed it on the center of the table, displaying it for everyone. It was already marked with precision, red X's were it was unsafe to go, black circles where they deemed safe to search. There were also a lot of question marks around the map, places they've never gone and weren't sure about. John took out a black sharpie from his pocket and put a dot on a coordinate on the map. "You guys will go here. It's just about ten to twenty minutes from here, depending on traffic" he joked, smiling a little to himself. Despite him always seeming serious, he was actually very gentle and sweet. "Anyway, there should be a subdivision there. Suburban style houses. It's close by, but it's marked with a question because we've never been there, so caution must be at an all time high no matter what. Basically, you stick together the whole time, no separating. You two don't go three feet from each other understood?" John said, awaiting a response. After getting one, he continued. "Like Tori already knows, you look for necessities, not wants. Food, water, clothes, etc." John then started folding up the map again and handing it to Victoria. "In the meantime, I'll need Farren here to help me cover up the front windows with bed sheets. I want to start hiding ourselves a little better, pumping up our security a little more. Were fortunate to not have had an incident yet, but after last night, I'm uncertain how many walkers we have in the area. So let us get ready to start the day, we begin in ten minutes" John finished, pulling Victoria to the side outside the lunchroom while the others remained there for a bit. "Listen. This is my address" he whispered, handing her a little piece of paper with his own home address. Where they were going is where John used to live, his house hopefully still there. "In the attic you'll find a couple of firearms and stacks of water, possibly some survival kits, I'm not sure, I don't remember exactly. But that's where I need you to go. And listen, whatever you do, DO NOT go into the main bedroom. You DO NOT let Buck in there, you don't go in there, nobody goes in there okay? Please" John finished as he hugged Tori. "You be careful. And if he tries anything, you do what you have to" he said seriously, unsure what would happen, but certain Tori would be okay, she always was.

Ada Cinet - Eagle Street, Boerne/MEC perimeter Ada delivered a sweeping kick to the side of the sicko's knees, as it fell to the ground, she quickly brought down her hunting knife with all her energy, driving it into his skull. The woman sighed, the pavement of Boerne's main street becoming stained a sickly brownish red as the blood slowly seeped out of the hole the knife created in the rotting man's head. Ada stayed on her knees by the corpse as she panted, regaining the energy lost. Her eyes darted around the distance, tired, looking for anymore threats. She looked back in the direction of Westphalen House, she hadn't left it's door more than 30 minutes ago, and already she ached to go back to sleep, her body was already sore and tire. Looking forward, she saw what appeared to be the most architecturally ambitious building in all of Boerne-- the first thing even coming close to being a sky scraper she had seen in a while. With a grunt, Ada pulled the knife out of the sick man's head, and rubbed the blood off on his rotted shirt, she pushed herself toward her feet and resumed her trek. The building-- the hospital with it's giant red cross-- filled Ada with both concern and hope. On the one hand, there were certainly beds, maybe even water-- she'd be fine for food, scavenging came naturally to her, and she already had a few cans of food anyway. She just needed a safe place to rest for a few days, her body needed it, her body had been showing all the signs of beginning to shut down since Mexico. She needed to address it now before her week long treks killed her. The hospital had a single, large, rustic front entrance, and in the moment her hands reached to open it, something hit her. A memory from the night before-- lights. There were people here. Her hand hovered by the entrance, before returning limply to her side. What were the chances of more people like Clayton being out here? Griping the gun on her belt, she continued making her way around the perimeter of the building, looking for a more subtle entrance.

John and Tori - MEC - Buck/Farren/Robert After agreeing to follow everything John had instructed, the man had Victoria go get whatever supplies she needed. Tori left his presence and went to the second floor to get some of her bag and what not. On the other hand, John returned to the dining area and stood near the door frame staring into the room at the others. "Prepare yourself Buck, y'all leave in five. Get whatever you need and meet us at the front doors, we'll go to the garage area together" John exclaimed, turning to see Mr. Oswald was falling asleep in the chair he sat. He smirked to himself at the sight of the peaceful older gentleman. "Farren, if it's not too much to ask, do you mind taking Mr. Oswald back to his room" John asked with a smile. He knew she had to take care of little Dean, but he had other things to handle before letting Tori head out. As Buck approached him outside the hall, John put his hand on the man's shoulder, stopping his progression. "Listen, I've instructed Tori to do anything she has to if need be. She has her walkie on her at all times, so if I hear anything in respect to you, I promise that you will not take a step back in this hospital. You want to pull your weight, then get this done right and without any problems. I'm not asking you to prove anything to me, prove it to her, because last night you disrespected her and hurt her feelings. You do that again and......." John continued, pausing for a second as he looked up at Buck. "...Let's just say it wont turn out okay for you" he finished, that rash personality coming out. He'd been trying to keep away from being like that, but Buck still hadn't deserved anything better. John then let the man go, leaving him to go do what he had instructed him to do. He waited there on the wall until he vanished from sight. John didn't like to come off very aggressive, but sometimes he just had to in order to get his message across. To calm himself, he rubbed his forehead with eyes closed and exhaled loudly. He shook his head in each direction then started for the stairs. As he made it to them, he looked up to notice Tori sitting halfway and grabbing her ankle. John quickly acted and ran up to her. "What happened?! Are you okay?!" he asked, his eyes widening as she turned to him with red eyes. "I twisted my ankle" she stated, relieving John from any further anxiety. He overreacted and thought she had broke something. "Can you stand?" he asked her, one hand on her back, the other under her arm to help her up. Once he brought her to her feet, she squealed sharply in pain as her foot came back off the ground. "Let's......Let's just go back upstairs" John said, helping her back to her room, leaving her backpack in the middle of the stairs. Once reaching her room, she helped her onto the bed, putting some pillows under the damaged ankle for support. "Does that mean I can't go on the supply run?" she asked, seemingly bummed out by the obvious fact she wont be able to go. "Not in your condition. I'll see if we have any pain relievers or inflammatory ointment just in case. Doesn't look bad, but I'd prefer you get better before doing anything" John said, sitting next to her foot, looking at it for anything out of the ordinary. "Sorry, I was just hurrying up" she said softly. "You're fine, don't worry. I'll just make the run myself" John stated, tapping his hand on her shin. "I'll handle it" he added, running his free hand through his hair. "Why not just have Buck go by himself? I'm sure he can take care of it" Victoria stated. "I still don't like him, but he seems to want to help. He apologized John. He apologized" she repeated, a look of disbelief in her eyes. "But if I go with him, who's gonna look after you guys? I can't leave y'all alone, I can't Tori" John answered. "I meant that Buck can go alone...." John wasn't sure about the idea of letting the man go off on his own. Despite their relationship, he was another body who could eventually be of aid. He was a big man too, the muscle was necessary just in case. John had a very hard decision to make, and it whichever one he made wasn't going to be a good one.

Buck Bradley - MEC - Farren/John Buck was not a happy camper. No, that was an understatement. In his current state he could be likened to an overdue volcano on the verge of erupting molten rage. He literally vibrated as John spoke to him. When the man put a hand on his shoulder it took everything within him not to snap his arm like a twig. Even a few hours ago he would have. But now he had others to think of. Farren and the boy. He tried to make eye contact with Farren. He hoped that she could see what was happening here. He wanted to impress her with his self-control. But with his eyes he also tried to convey the raw anger that was boiling inside him at that moment. It took all he had not to smash the guy like he deserved. Now would be as good an opportunity as any. He had sent Victoria away. The old man was asleep. What's stopping you? he asked himself. Farren. That was what. Taking a few deep breaths he responded briefly through clenched teeth. "Five minutes, huh? Guess I'd better get ready." He ignored all the other garbage about respect, disrespect and the threats of not stepping foot back inside the hospital. Did this guy really think he could keep Buck away from Farren if he needed to get to her? What a bunch of hot air. Still, he decided to play nice. For now. He walked away without any other words. He had passed something on the way from the living quarters this morning that interested him. In a few moments he found it. It looked like a crew had been doing some demolition work on one of the walls before the outbreak occurred. A small section in the hallway was still roped off. But the crew had left behind a lot of their tools. One interested Buck in particular. He stepped over the rope and picked up a fibreglass handled sledge hammer. The handle was bright orange and the head had to be about 7 or 8 pounds. He planted his feet firmly and channeled all the rage he felt right now into one mighty swing. A good chunk of the wall that was still standing exploded into splinters on the impact. He exhaled with satisfaction. "Yeah, this should do nicely." He propped the hammer over his shoulder and made his way back to meet up with John and Victoria.

Farren - MEC - Buck, John, Oswald Farren blinked in surprise when Buck admitted his profession. Or… former profession. She had watched the sport when she was little girl, but not in many, many years. Still, after a second, she smiled and thought to herself how she knew they had been in good hands when he’d found them last night. Her smiled faded into a small one of understanding when he said things hadn’t ended well with some of the people he’d run into, but ended up blushing herself when he smiled at her at the end of his explanation to John. She looked away and back to Dean who was trying to crawl away and under the table. She struggled to hold on but eventually just let him with a sigh, the boy crawling around by himself but never further than a few feet from his mom. It never even crossed her mind to see Buck as a threat based on what he’d said. She knew she had only known him a few hours longer than the others here at the hospital, but she had a very different impression of the man than she and Dean had had. She got distracted as John spoke directly to Buck about going on the supply run, getting onto Dean for trying to pick very old gum from off the tables’ underside. It was an okay distraction at least though, since Buck leaving her and Dean without him, to go outside the hospital, made her worried when she actually thought about it. “Dean, stop that,” she hissed in a shushing, motherly tone, until she heard her name. She pulled her head up, curtain of brown hair following as she looked with wide eyes at John, listening while he said she would be covering the windows. “Okay, that’s fine,” she smiled, getting distracted again when Dean ran off. Farren rolled her eyes, pushing off from the table. Doing so, her sleeves lifted a bit, revealing bruises that never seemed to leave thanks to the type of lifestyle they were all forced to live nowadays. “Be careful,” Farren whispered with a smile to her friend before the large man left and John began speaking to him. Farren nodded and agreed to take Mr. Oswald back to his room just as soon as she wrangled her boy, which she did with the fluidity of her very practiced hands. “Come on, Mr. Oswald. I think Dean needs a nap. Will you help me get us back to the room?” she asked, never one to treat the elderly like children. The man started from his own nap and smiled, nodding and agreeing but with a twinkle in his eye that showed he probably knew Farren truly meant it was his nap time and not her son’s. As they walked into the hallway to go back to the room, Farren overheard John and Buck’s conversation, making her look back over her shoulder and see Buck looking back at her with the fakest smile she’d ever seen. She chuckled a bit at him, shaking her head with a genuine smile before turning back and going to their rooms. She got Mr. Oswald to his and went to her own room, walking around the room holding Dean tightly to her chest until he passed out. Once he’d done so, Farren tried her darnedest to lay him down without waking him, and barely managed. With some quiet steps an accomplished burglar would admire, Farren slipped from the room. She sighed in relief and laid her back against her door, sliding down it and closing her eyes for a moment.

Ada Cinet - MEC Back entrance Ada kicked detritus as she skipped around the back side of the medical center. An absolute mess of ambulance vehicles lay to greet her, there appeared to be only one silver car NOT originally designed for the purpose of transferring people to the hospital. A sicko milled about near it, Ada and her knife made short work of it, the knife making it's familiar squelch as she crouched deliver the blow to the brain. As Ada got up, she could feel her stomach growl. Thanks for the reminder, stomach! I'd almost forgotten I was hungry. Making her way up a ramp, Ada tried unlocking and opening various doors to no avail. Eventually, Ada summoned all the energy she could and kicked on the door, which only resulted in the pounding of soreness increasing. Running out of ideas, she tried another strategy, sheathing her knife and holstering her gun, Ada shot at the lock. Fuck. Her stomach was thinking for her at this point. Anyone inside probably heard that shot, and the groans from behind her told her the sickos had too. She ran inside the building, closing the door as best as she could, and found herself in a generally dim hallway. There appeared to be empty storage rooms on either side of her as she walked through the stagnant corridor, the musty smell lifted as she moved further in, and the lighting became brighter and more natural. Moving forward, Ada raised her gun as she approached the natural light of what appeared to be a large open area.

John Teller - MEC - Everyone Else The echoing sound of a gunshot made John jump in alarm. He looked at Victoria as he rushed to the window of the room, looking outside of the hospital in attempt to see something, but there was nothing. The green grass was calm and there were no walkers in sight. John quickly removed the gun from his holster and moved quickly to exit the room. "You stay here no matter what, do you understand?!" he commanded as he shut the door and locked it from the outside. Once outside he looked in each direction, noticing Farren outside her room. "Get in the room, now!" he said to her uneasily, then moving on to check on Mr. Oswald who seemed to still be asleep. John began to sprint towards the stairs, noticing the sound had come from the first floor rather than the second. He skipped steps as he rushed downward and raised his gun in complete defense. He moved slowly, cautiously through the hall, checking every room. "Where'd the shot come from?" he questioned himself. Because of the emptiness of the hospital, the gunshot had echoed so loudly throughout the entire premise that it was difficult to pinpoint the initial location. Because it was daylight there was enough luminescence to see the surroundings. The security guard was well aware of the complexity of the hospital, he knew every room, every exit, every entry way. Therefore, he used that knowledge to his advantage and moved down the hall towards the back entry way leading to the open garage in the back. John had not seen Buck anywhere and for some reason, hoped the gunshot wasn't meant for the man. "Did walkers get inside?" he also thought to himself. But the facts proved that it had to be some kind of survivor and raider. Buck didn't have a gun so it was obviously not him. Farren, Oswald, and Tori were upstairs so it wasn't them either. But whoever it was, was armed and would prove to be dangerous. John continued down the hall when he suddenly heard footsteps on the other end of the corridor. So with a quick stutter, John forced himself to the wall and awaited the steps to continue. He heard them coming closer and closer and wasn't sure how to proceed. His main goal was to get out of this with no one getting hurt. He didn't want anyone in danger, especially the little boy. For some odd reason, despite not really knowing Dean or his mom, he wanted them to be safe. He had this idea that Dean would be the future of it all. So when everything ends, he'll be the one to rise up and pass on history to a new civilization. Therefore, without desire to fire his weapon, he decided that he'd use the power of intimidation. In a flash, he stepped out into the hallway and pointed his gun at the shadow before him, hidden by the dark effigy of obscurity. "Put the gun down and I will not be forced to shoot you" he commanded, his tone affirmative and strong. He pointed his pistol high and steady, unsure who he was speaking too because this person stood where the sun did not reach. "Whatever you want, we will not give you, so please.........do not do this" he stated, immediately thinkking the person before him was a raider.

Ada Cinet - MEC Ground Level Hallway - John Teller Blood pulsed through Ada's ears, her body was sore from the abuse of adrenaline the last six months had forced on her. Each step was smaller than the last, her legs stung, her arms felt like jelly-- But that didn't matter. She could keep her gun raised, she could still move, she could still see and think. That was what mattered. She could survive as long as she had that, and luck, but she could continue forward in the world. It didn't matter in that moment, if the world was some lonely Mexican road or the dark and dusty corridor of some Texan hospital. It wasn't all she had, nor was it all that mattered-- but survival would be Ada's. The blood pumped so loud in Ada's head she could only barely hear the world around her. Barely. She inhaled, tightening the grip of the gun in front of her in preparation for a confrontation. In the light of the hallway, a man stepped in front of her-- their distance was only one of a few meters, but that was all it took for the shadow of the dimly lit hallway to obscure Ada's small figure and for the man to be completely exposed in light. A small part of her couldn't help but notice the cinematic merit of the situation, perhaps it was even symbolic of something? But what? The man spoke, he was younger than Clayton, but stronger, also. He'd been keeping himself maintained well. Here? "Put the gun down and I will not be forced to shoot you" The man's eyes were serious, but Ada didn't comply, not immediately. Her mind was in a state of conflict. Guns weren't unfamiliar to her-- she had held a man up not 12 hours ago-- but still, avoiding death when faced with the barrel of one was always a unique challenge. He spoke again. "Whatever you want, we will not give you, so please.........do not do this" A weak part of her mind that craved companionship told her to do as he asked, that she should just drop her gun and do what he wants. Another part, a smarter part, a part that wanted survival and company detected something in his voice, a certain treble. The man was protecting people. Ada kept her gun raised and spoke, revealing her gender, she parroted words that had been spoken to her not 12 hours ago. “I’m not going to drop my gun, and I know you’re not gonna fire yours.” In a compromise, she lowered the firearm, aiming at the lower torso of the man as she gingerly stepped into the light, sighing as she spoke again. "I took out some of the sickos on my way in, but the door can't hold 'em off with that lock shot off-- two shots would be like a dinner bell, and you couldn't protect whoever else is here with a gut-shot." Her body was shaking with hunger, but she maintained eye contact with the man.

Buck Bradley - MEC - Farren Buck froze. The sound of the gunshot echoed through the halls of the medical center. Farren. Dean. The names raced through his mind in a sudden panic. If something had happened to them while he wasn't at their side... He saw John racing past in the distance, heading towards the sound of the shot. Say what you wanted to about the guy, Buck thought, he had guts. Buck considered joining him for only the briefest of moments. Whatever trouble was out there, two of them would stand a better chance against it than one. But Buck's responsibility now lay with the young mother and her child. They were his greatest concern. Greater than his own safety. As quickly as he could he took off to where he knew they should be. He had heard John ask Farren to take the old man to his room - had witnessed her oblige. He was almost certain the gunshot hadn't come from that floor, but he wasn't willing to bet his or their lives on it. When he reached her room he froze. There was Farren. Slumped against the door with her eyes closed. "No..." he whispered to himself, panic rushing through him. "No, NO, NOOOO!!!" he screamed as he raced to her side. He dropped his newly acquired sledge hammer and knelt by her side. He looked around for any sign of injury. There didn't seem to be any. "Please," he pleaded quietly. "Please be alright." He reached out his large hand to stroke her hair.

Farren - MEC - John, Buck Farren, in her tiredness, barely blinked at the gunshot, only knowing that it could possibly wake Dean. She groaned, furrowing her brow and rubbing her eyes. This had to be karma for something. The universe hated her and she had no idea why. It was surprising how when you became a mother, the sound of a gunshot echoing in the distance was less frightening than a child awoken from a nap. So she just nodded as John ran by, yelling at her to get in the room. “Aye aye captain,” she sneered, annoyed that if the bullet had woken up Dean, surely his yell had. And to be sure, she heard a whining from behind the door. Farren closed her eyes again and sniffed, whispering to herself, ‘Please, just… go back to sleep…’ when heavy footsteps came down the hall. She assumed it was John, noticing she hadn’t gone into her room, coming back to talk all about the rules and their importance, because teamwork and magic and shit. Instead, a scream of no, caused her to open her eyes and look bewildered as Buck slid next to her and began looking over her and stroking her hair. “Buck, Buck, I’m fine,” she said, a surprised, slight panic in her own eyes as she saw the worry in his. “Hey, calm down, okay?” she whispered, brow furrowing now in concern while looking into his eyes, hand cupping his cheek so he would look at her and see her seriousness. She almost didn’t notice the whining still coming from the other side of the door. Her cheeks were a bit flushed and heart pounding harder from being disturbed in such a way, and with Buck’s tender touch and worry in his gaze. She wondered if he cared for her wellbeing only because he had lost people before and didn’t want to lose anyone else. Or if it was something more. She swallowed hard and searched his face, wishing she knew the answer without brazenly asking, but his gesture had also woken her up enough to realize if there was someone out there with a gun, then she probably should do as John said and stay in her room. Especially since now little hands were sticking out under the bottom of the door and poking her. “Honey, mommy’s right here just… just give me a second,” she said in a sing song voice but one that said she was serious before sighing heavily and looking back at her friend. “Are you ok?” she asked him, unsure of why he would think she was hurt unless maybe he was.

John - MEC - Ada The security guard's blood started to boil more rapidly than before. He felt his body go tense for a second as she stepped into the light. She was just a young woman, younger than most of his people. He couldn't believe someone like her was surviving alone in a world like this. In addition, he couldn't believe the guts on this girl - breaking in and acting all high and mighty as she wielded that weapon. She then stated she knew John's intentions and had it figured out that he wouldn't shoot his pistol. In a sense, she was right. John didn't want to fire because he feared the effect that would come afterwards. He had never killed another human being since the apocalypse began. He smashed a couple of decomposed brains, and had to bury a woman who was like a mother to him, but shooting another living person.......no. But that did not mean it wouldn't happen. She stood as a threat to him and his group right now, so there was a possibility a bullet might need to be fired. Despite her lowering her weapon a little, John still felt uneasy. But this confrontation was getting heated when she said the back door had remained opened. The actions taken to break into the hospital wold cause a domino effect. Walkers would soon follow the ringing sound of her shooting and meet them at the exit door. John's eye twitched at the thought of being overrun. Why was all this happening now? "BUCK!!" John called out for the man, hoping he'd show and help aid the situation. The plan was to have Buck go lock the back door, or at least close it as John dealt with this woman. So after exhaling, John decided to lower his weapon, but still gripped it with might. "We need to close that door now" John told the girl, trying to get her to understand the priorities. "If we don't close it, all this.......your break in would be pointless. For now let's put our differences aside and do what we have to. Look....." he started, putting his gun back into its holster and raising up his hands up. "We need to close it and you know that, so please, put the gun away and help me make sure we don't get overrun" he added, slowly walking towards her with hands still risen.

Ada Cinet - MEC - John Teller "BUCK!!" The man called out. Did he mean to say 'Fuck' or was Buck someone else staying here? How many people were in this hospital. As the situation continued to escalated, the idea of 'popping in and getting some steroids' seemed more and more asinine. She was too tired, the mistakes she was making were getting more and more careless. After a moment, he lowered his weapon, "We need to close that door now" He instructed, "If we don't close it, all this.......your break in would be pointless. For now let's put our differences aside and do what we have to. Look....." he started, putting his gun back into its holster and raising up his hands up. "We need to close it and you know that, so please, put the gun away and help me make sure we don't get overrun" he began slowly walking towards her with hands still risen. Ada's eyes narrowed, she briefly raised her own gun, but as she looked in his eyes and felt the adrenaline begin to pulse through her body, she couldn't maintain it. He was bigger than her, much bigger, unarmed, it would be an extremely uneven fight especially in her current state-- but at this moment, he didn't want that, there would be no point in risking getting shot if he did. He wasn't wrong in what he said, neither of them wanted a run in with a sicko. The only difference is that while she wanted to protect a location to scavenge in, he wanted to protect the people here-- Buck, or whoever. She quickly holstered her gun in her belt. "Alright-- sorry." She turned to face the door alongside him. "Like I said, I took out a few on the way in, but there is a crowd coming. Y'all got any chains? That'd be the easier way to lock it all up." Their moans were louder-- first they'd need to close the door, dropping her bag, Ada ran with the man to head off the sickos before they could get through the door. As she and the man put their collective weight against the door she cursed under her breath, "Guess this is what I get for wanting some drugs..."

Buck Bradley - MEC - Farren, John, Ada Buck breathed a sigh of relief. The moment Farren began talking he knew everything was going to be okay. Instinctively he grabbed her hand that held onto his face. He tried to calm her concern by nodding when she asked about him. "Yeah. I'm alright." He let go of her hand and straightened up, trying to compose himself further. "When I heard the gunshot I thought...I thought that maybe..." He couldn't bring himself to finish the thought. Instead he just smiled at her weakly. "I'm just glad you are both okay." "BUCK!!" The call caused Buck to jerk to his feet, grabbing up the sledge hammer again. "That was John," he said, stating the obvious. He turned back to Farren. "I should go check on him. He went off on his own." He paused, making sure Farren had a good grasp on the situation. "You can stay here if you want. Keep Dean safe. Or if you want you can come with me. I can make sure you stay safe." He moved quickly in the direction of John's call. As he approached the unmistakable growls of walkers grew louder. It didn't take long to find John. He was there, with a girl Buck had never seen before, trying to hold closed a door against a pile of the monsters. Noticing the girl was armed, Buck deduced that the shot he had heard had had something to do with her. For the moment she and John appeared to be working together, however. It didn't take him long to make a decision. He rushed forward and threw his considerable bulk against the door, trying to push back against the tide on the other side. "Arrrgh!!" he growled with the effort. "I make a much better doorstop than either of you. You wanna find something to close this door more permanent?"

John Teller - MEC - Buck/Ada It was all happening so much quicker than John wanted it to. He hadn't the slightest idea what was going to happen to them, where they would go after all this. It was obviously getting far too dangerous to stay, survivors showing up one after another. Luckily they hadn't arrived in large numbers, but what would happen when they did? Could they handle raiders? Thieves or killers? At this point in time, people seemed to be more dangerous than the monsters roaming the dead-lands. People would do anything they could to ensure their own survival, even kill another. So in the end, society hadn't truly changed at all. All that happened was that those that once were absent their survival instincts, found it upon this new world or never had the chance to get it before being torn to shreds by walkers. It was rather sad. At this point though, all this didn't matter since the task at hand was to shut this parasite-infested door. The moans grew louder as the three continued to push against the hoarded force. John looked back as Buck and Ada continued to push. The two were grunting loudly, but all John could hear were the sound of the dead. He heard them gasp and clink their teeth together in eagerness. They were hungry, clawing at the door and using whatever strength they possessed in attempts to get through. "I'm going to get something to close this off!!" John stated over the sound of the monsters. Without confirmation, he rushed under Buck's arms and towards the utility room just a room down the hall. In complete distress, John accidentally tripped by himself and fell dead on his shoulder. The man heard something pop, but didn't have time to be worrying about himself, so got right back up and continued towards the room. Once reaching it, he ran through his keys and quickly opened it. It was a small closet-like room with mainly janitorial supplies, but from time to time, John recalled that the hospital once had in-automated doors, so used locks and chains to keep them secured. He dug through the garbage and eventually found what he was looking for - fortunately. After his return, John made his way around his companions and put the chain through the exit door handle and tying it to whatever he could. At first there seemed to be no possible way of getting it done, but John found the possible. He forced the chain to stretch to the fire alarm's handle and attached it to that. It would hopefully hold for the time being until they could go get nails and such to honestly make sure the door would open again. Slightly, John started releasing pressure from the door, making sure it was in good condition. There was a point where all three could take their hands off the door and it still remain closed. John smiled at the sight of security, but then quickly raised his pistol at Ada and put the gun's barrel on the side of her head. "Buck, get her weapon" he instructed, not giving her any time to react. She might have helped them now, but it was her fault they were even put in that dangerous position. In addition, she drew on him earlier, obviously having some intent to do damage if necessary. She wasn't an innocent survivor, didn't earn that title just yet.
