right, lower firepower of ODS *types down note* and expensive yes, but over the course of several thousand years the money to make such platforms is slowly built up with a 'small' potion of tax payers money and then boom, orbital platforms which help defend the people, besides, it's not like there's one every mile away from each other, their quite spread apart from each other, and their ships use fusion engines (same as in Halo, since there are ships in halo far bigger then the ones the Zargans have and they seem to move just fine, and quite fast too) =3
