Holy typos! I just reread my post and I don't know how you all restrained yourselves from tracking me down, busting into my dorm room, and beating the crap out of me... I'll try to fix those up for whatever good that does. And like Aeon, next time I post I hopefully won't be coughing up a lung. Also, though I'm certain there are plenty of people who would (rightfully) blame the Motum Diversum for the attack on the Forsaken caravan, the operation was not officially sanctioned, and was carried out with bandit gear. So I don't think it would necessarily be overly common knowledge/undisputed fact that they pulled the attack. Especially in light of the fact that the story would have likely been swept together with the small slave uprising that occurred in the area in the following months, leading most to believe that the slaves were somehow responsible for the attack.
Hmm, I was kinda staying with the same theme as that The Security Chief has access to a lot more information that most don't, as hinted to when he knows Ulver's full name, when most don't, but I can go ahead and add in a few discrepancies, or just full on rewrite the scene all together. I was just thinking that a Chief of security in one of the Gaen's capitals would have access to heavy information. Plus, there were other survivors to the attack I thought? Maybe they could've passed information along?

I don't have a problem with the scene, I just wanted to clear it up in terms of world lore. All the survivors took part in the slave uprising so they would all know to keep quiet but I'm sure stuff slipped through. If you want to add some cheeky dialogue about the plausible deniability of the situation that's up to you I guess. In other news, girlfriend surprised me and came up for Valentine's Day weekend (I really should have seen that coming, but totally didn't) so I'll be on hold till late Sunday.

That's fine. Also about the attack. Technically Firecracker_ was correct in adapting it to world lore. Nowhere in your post did you actually describe the attackers other than clearly stating that they were in fact, too accurate and too well trained to be bandits. There is a line where bento mentions officially unsanctioned raid and thorne agrees, to which a high commanding chief officer (Like Firecracker's chiefly guy) could definitely know about. All those escaped slaves aren't under a gag order, and even if they were it wouldn't be for long, also I feel even the stupidest slave could put two and two together if they were listening to Bento's conversation, which considering he is "The Raging Storm" I would assume all the focus would be on him. It's likely that it would be a believable, common rumor, denied by the winged guardians. Just throwing in my two cents :D

Like I said, there's definitely going to be a bunch of people who think that the Motum Diversum was behind it. I have no problem with Fire's post. The most important issue is probably just the question of the Forsaken declaring war.

  • Morning - Afternoon - Evening - Night ( 1 day = 4 posts)
  • Morning/Afternoon - Evening/Night ( 1 day = 2 posts)
  • Some other format?

Bento was the nickname of Benedict Spinoza, a 17th century philosopher. But yeah, bento boxes came first I think :p As for time scale I think it should be a bit looser, so that people can use what time they need, but within reason. Maybe if you take an extra post for the previous night, you skip a morning post to catch up or something?

I think as long as everyone knows what time of day it is before they get a post up it'll avoid confusion. Also yeah, I was thinking of beans, too.

I think I may just do day by day. Once everyone has reached the conclusion for the first day I can advance it. Maybe mark the post with -Day End- or something. How does that sound?

So are we doing the quest board thing yet, or is everyone just sorta sticking to their own stuff right now? Looks like the scavengers are headed towards Russell City while Fire is sleuthing around up in Aspin, and the only big game in town is the Castallias.

It looks long, but my post is mostly dialogue heavy. I didn't want to just skip the 6 hour drive from Serenity to RC, but I couldn't just write 6 hours of girls talking about horses and baseball and periods, either. So I had this crazy idea and I went with it and it resulted in (spoiler) castration. After she cuts the guy's wee wee off she says something about how the Winged Guardian is out and how the RC slums are under Castalia protection/control now. Quite an entrance. All of that ends at late afternoon, so Lucania is open to collab with anyone who wants to come to the club and talk to crazy bloody sleeves lady. PM me plz or w/e Also, I realize the ending is a little rough and bare, especially considering it's graphic nature, I'm planning on editing that bit, I just wanted to get it all down now before I passed out. I'm going to go pass out now

Real quick: on phone - Posts will be day by day, after everyone does a night sequence and puts an -end day- I will start day 2. Do not begin the next day until everyone is ready to move on. Also, Darcs, I didn't finish reading it yet but if what you said is true then prepare for war. I'll go ahead and make a winged captain character if you want war!!
