So, while I'm rapidly creating an app, I'm curious. It's a basic ship idea, that I was kinda surprised it wasn't included. A super heavy artillery ship. The ship itself is about a kilometer. The length of the cannon that runs through it is about 5 kilometers. Relegated to HSR3, as its firepower is compensated with the lack of space for armor. Only armed with point defense, and two medium turrets normally found on Light cruisers to fend off pirates. Most of the remaining space is taken up by engines and forward thrusters. It's speed is nothing to laugh at, although its turning rate is....rather lacking. Generally hangs back, further than even a carrier, and probably has the unofficial nickname "Battleship Killer" or "Planet Lance" on account of its appearance.

We do have one of those.
Gothren Class Artillery Vessel: Variants can measure between 1 and 1.5 km in length, and different models are armed with gauss, plasma, solid torpedo or laser munitions. Fast, and well sheilded the Gothren-Class is used in kill teams of three to six designed to concentrate fire on enemy capital vessels and fortifications. They are exceptionally dangerous vessels to ships of their own size designation and greater, and can be used to great effect against orbital defenses and planetary targets. A lack of secondary weapons systems, however, leaves them vulnerable to strike craft and to enemy ships who manage to close with them.

Like Peppermints said, there is one sorta like that included into the basic shiplisting, and there's some other player-made vessels in the pirate-pads. Cool things to check out: Pad compiling a lot of info from both the OOC and player contributions. Chatzy where you can sometimes find us hanging around talking about the RP or random stuff.

Ya I made a smaller corvette sized model that works in groups of 6+ to concentrate their fire. But they use a single 'lance' like weapon that runs the length of the ship like your model would.

New Class Type: Bahamut-class Mobile City Unofficial Nicknames: Flying Fortress, Bahamut, Moving Castle Description: The Bahamut-class Mobile City, is probably the most obscured class ever developed. It is less of an actual class of ships, and moreso a classification of warships. These warships can be ridiculously varied, ranging from heavily armored and bristling with weaponry, to rapid assault warships, and even troop deployment. There are only a few consistencies amongst these ships, and what classifies them as a Bahamit-class warship. First and foremost, their size. Ranges between 2.5km to even 10km! The sheer size of these are a general must-have, to be capable of meeting the second requirement. They must be at least semi-self-sufficient. A large ship that size is a very, very tantalizing target, for both their enemies and wayward pirates. Hence the need to stay on the move, only stopping at planets for supplies. All in all, these Mobile Cities are rather far and few between. However, if you do meet one, know that they can be one of the hardest ships to raid, but also one of the most rewarding.

Sent you a PM. Not sure the whole concept of the fleet-ship works for this RP. I would prefer folks to stick to single ships and escorts @all: my apologies for taking so long to post. My next post will be the launching of the invasion. The fleet assembled for the task is *huge*. In the mean time, if you havent introduced your character, please do so. If you have, still feel free to write about the prep for the invasion and give your ships stuff to do. No need to check in with me to ask for permission before you make stuff up, but if you do have questions please leave them here, pm me, or find me in the pad or the chat! Be creative in imagining what a pre-invasion force of this type would be doing!

I have a plan for that, Ink. No worries. I was going to give you the option of having your ship moved from Rho to the main invasion fleet at the last minute, or more likely of just keeping @Commodore Robot's char as an NPC until he returns (if he does) and proceeding with the diversionary attack. Based on the IC post I'll throw up soon, you'll have the option of either being in the main fleet and explaining why your ship changed sides, or being part of the diversion.

We probably should, since the first part will be some dialogue about Logan being late if you wanted to post to show some preparation for the battle? During the actual invasion we could probably do our own posts easier since Harper and Logan have different jobs during a battle.

Either option would work for me, but if he doesn't return, Harper could always get promoted to Commodore by some miracle.

Alright. This confusion is my fault. I throw up a post tonight that should get everyone going. If I don't get it up tonight, it doesnt mean I've forgotten, just that I was unexpectedly busy, and I will try to write it over the next few days.
