In 2019 Aliens come to Earth and demand our surrender. We are now advanced enough technologically to be a threat to them, so either we join them as a slave race, or we are beaten into submission. Within hours the governments of the world come forward with information they think will give humans hope. They have been able to prove scientifically since the 1930s that humans have superpowers, but that the brain restricts them so that we don't burn more calories. This is believed to be a mutation that originated in the ice age, as the food shortages made it quite beneficial to have the mutation that causes area of the brain which prevents us from having powers. The government had discovered that by removing this area they could allow people to develop powers. Every powerful government in the world had a program to exploit this fact. There were three ways they could do it: 1) Toxin designed to damage the area of the brain which prevents powers. Often causes damage to other areas, though. Powers start off weak and grow slowly every time the chemical is administered. 2) Surgery removes the area. Can cause some damage to surrounding tissue depending on the skill of the surgeon. Also, powers start off strong and then grow, unlike method one, so those that use this method have less control. 3) Gene therapy. This meant that either the person had to grow up before they were useful to you, or you had to use it on an adult, which decreased the time they had to learn, and their powers grew slowly for the next several years as their brain was altered. We are either people who have one of these three methods used on us after the announcement, when they start recruiting people to fight the aliens, or the people the governments experimented on. The second group will be much stronger, but emotionally, and mentally unstable, plus they may have other brain damage. Different people have different sets of powers based on their personalities, so your powers have a theme, but that theme can be almost anything. Also, powers comply with the laws of physics, so their needs to be a physics link between your powers. Ex: In one RP I have shadow powers, such as hiding myself by thickening the shadows around me and blinding people. I also have the ability to use shadows as portals. Because the last one doesn't really have a physics link to the others (shadows are the absence of light, not openings to other dimensions) I couldn't have portal powers in this RP, unless I had a different theme to my powers (such as hyperspace, subspace, Telekinesis, Quantum phenomenon, etc.). The RP will start at a hidden UN military base, so we can be from any country. The aliens captured most of the Middle East, as it was on of the easiest place to capture, and crippled the world's energy production. One year has passed, and the people of the world have either surrendered or, in most cases, banded together to fight the aliens. One good thing to come of the invasion is that even the most bitter enemies have banded together to fight them off. The people that live in captured territory either work as slaves or fight for the aliens against the rest of humanity. There are a few resistance cells, such as United Levant Army, made of former members of ISIS and other terrorist groups plus a large number of Israelis, fighting the aliens off, but they are in way over their heads.

prostagma: You wrote that your guy can produce up to 6 TV (teravolts) of electricity. What kind of amperage is that at? When I first saw it I though it said 6 TW (terawatts) which is the equivalent of burning 1,740,000 calories per second. Unless he can also store energy insanely effectively (either in his body or in the suit) that's way beyond what the human body should be capable of.

There wasn't really a set output in mind, since it'll never come up and he's basically meant to be a human battery. The point was more to slap an arbitrarily large number on to justify powering a robot suit and laser cannon and maybe macguyvering some other crazy gizmos. I mean your character isn't exactly getting flung in the opposite direction every time she throws a car, is she?
