Well then they're already a thing you dingus.
I am talking more along the lines of ground-based ones with human-motions, not the expensive million dollar flying ones with a few missiles.

I'm not going to bother quoting all the shit two pages back, but.. I don't want to join the Army. I sort of want to join the Marines, but I'll admit that's sort of faded away as I've grown older. I still sort of want to do it, but a part of me doesn't, for a variety of reasons. That said, I was about to enlist, like.. literally I was one car trip away from it, but then I stopped the process altogether and decided I wasn't sure. And here I am wondering if I should go back. I'm thinking of doing it though, just because I honestly have no fuckin' idea what to do with my life.
The military is one of those things you should probably gage with your career. I know quite a few people who have joined, and I've noticed they tend to have the same problems that people who student loan'ed their way through a humanities degree: They don't have experience relevant to anything in the civilian workforce. My first job was sitting around a computer lab in a section 8 housing complex making sure people didn't steal anything or download porn. One of the things they decided to do was set up a station for job searching, which consisted of an ancient-as-fuck computer that linked directly to the state unemployment office's website, and a bunch of How-to booklets. The booklets were for people who would have additional difficulties. Shit like "How to get a Job if you never have had one." and "How to get a job if you just got out of prison." Another one was "How to get a job if you just got out of the military." The biggest perk, as far as I can tell, is assloads of money for school. It is a good option for people who need that. When my cousin found out that military experience had done absolutely jack shit to further her field, she managed to use the assloads of money to get into a top school. That's the biggest perk. But the modern employer isn't very sentimental. They like the type of experience specific to what the job is. I have heard cops and technicians tend to come out of the military pretty well, but I don't think I've known anybody who has done that. Right now, your best best is to either luck into the Entertainment industry or get a cushy Government job. Everything else... everything else is falling apart.

@vilageidiotx I would consider going in as something that sort of ties into paramedic work. So when I get out of the military, I can go into some kind of rescue job or something.

Can't even believe I forgot that. I updated the wiki front page with the new map and labeled every new player. Mind you, we now have 18 players. Counting people like Veoline and Hugs, though...

Looking at the map, I believe Hawaii should still be under US control. That is what I was told anyways. I want my pineapple.

I would like to point out you have left every single communist nation except North Korea and Laos, and for that Spain should disown you. Also, long live Peru.

I was actually just editing in Bulgaria, Bosnia, and Croatia into Serbia, but then because of my poor image editing skills that map happened. Kinda of tempted to edit it so everything is Serbia.

Yeh, I dunno much about that. You'd have to google around and see what people in that field think gaining experience from the military.

I almost forgot about something. What are the defined borders of Italy and Slovene-Croatia? The Treaty of Rapallo may or may not have existed, so it's possible for Trieste to end up on Slovenian soil or Bovec to end up on Italian soil. Or maybe Trieste is a free territory. Note: Poor Bosnia and their clay. Surround by scary Serb state who want to remove kebab and take their clay.

Take New Zealand's population (or an estimate of the population around 1980), and find out how much of that total is 10%. That (however many 10% is) is the biggest your military could realistically be. Given New Zealand is not exactly a military powerhouse, though, and that they aren't seriously threatened by anyone, it's likely their total military force is somewhere less than 10%.

Seeing how by then, New Zealand would have a population of 2.5 million. Then it would be around 200,000. Okay. Onto making even more units.

New Zealand's population in 1980, according to Google, was 3,113,000. If New Zealand's military is 10% of that, then it's total military strength is 311,300. That is if New Zealand is, for whatever reason, pushing its military numbers to the max. If it's not (as is more likely), then it's probably less than that. But that depends on how much of the population you want in the military.

To be honest, I have no fucking clue. Italy should have all of WW1 gained lands, but due to Batista and Civil War, the land was lost either to rebellions or me being unable to think of actual reasons Italy would have the strength to hold onto it. So Italy would still have legitimate claims over a fair bit of the Adriatic coastline, but doesn't feel like actually going after it. So, the borders could ICly be up for debate between the governments. So yeah.
