The Multiverse is wild and untamed. Universes defined by insane conflicts between warmongers prey upon universes defined by global harmony and bliss. The horrors of narrative causality cause once-logical worlds to spiral into madness working on its own rules. Beleaguered factions of exiles and corporatist entrepreneurs desperately attempt to eke out an existence in lands wholly foreign to them. At the center of this all, is you. The Multiverse is shaped like a great barred spiral. One bar consists of the Fantastic Universes, places where magic runs rampant and reality can be shaped as if it were clay. The other bar consists of the Grounded Universes, places where the laws of physics reign supreme and anomalies in these laws are few and far between. In the middle is a dense cluster of universes known as the Ideal Universes, where magic is possible yet causality has a strong grip. Civilized life is only possible near the Ideal Universes; settling anywhere else is tantamount to suicide. The single largest force working towards universal colonization are the Guardians, a benevolent federation of universes designed to protect and unite the multiverse, even at the cost of their own lives. There are many thousands of universes working with the Guardians, and each of them understands the gravity of the multiverse. Though it is unlikely that peace will ever come to the multiverse, the Guardians would sacrifice everything to make it possible. You are members of the Peacekeepers, designed to ensure the universes under the Guardians' watchful eye remain safe and secure. You will have to deal with both intra-universal conflict and vicious dangers working from within a universe's borders. Your job is hard and thankless, but it is vital for the inner workings of the Guardians. If the Peacekeepers were to fail, the Guardians and their universes would fall like a house of cards under a mighty gale. New universes routinely come into the fold of the Guardians, and as Peacekeepers you are expected to ease them into their position amongst the rest of the Guardians' charges. This will be a very challenging prospect indeed, but will almost certainly be rewarding. The Peacekeepers are not only unbeatable fighters, but they are fantastic diplomats! The Peacekeepers are headed by an enigmatic figure known only as "The Judge". The Judge rarely speaks, preferring to give orders through his many disciples. The upper echelons of the Peacekeepers take on a strangely theocratic bent. It seems the Peacekeepers hide a dark secret... The multiverse is a deep and terrifying place. Chaos and stagnation will run wild, if you slack off for even a moment. Will you be able to defend the few bastions of order within the multiverse, or will you fail and crush civilization's last hope for unification? The choice is yours. High up in the exosphere of a seldom-visited version of Earth lies the headquarters of Peacekeeper Branch G1. It is here that you've found employment, and it is here that you have discovered the existence of the Multiverse. Your job is monotonous, but rewarding. Things have been quiet recently, but it seems that change is on the wind...

• Remember that you and your fellow players are working together. Rivalry and interdepartmental bickering are completely fine, but outright assault and murder of allied personnel is verboten.
• This will be a very "Slice of Life" RP. Try not to make your character focused on combat, unless you're willing to RP them out to the fullest extent.
• Since you're tackling the role of an interdimensional cop, you'll be expected to act like one. Think "Lawful", and you're perfectly fine!
• For all the glory of the Guardians, they are not wholly moral people. You can make a morally grey character if you want. Just try not to make a mass-murdering psychopath!
• Characters can be from any setting you want, so long as they would logically work as a figure of authority and so long as they're not egregiously overpowered.
• Don't be afraid to list your concerns with the RP! With any luck, I can fix it!

Anything goes! To be honest, I'd prefer a picture that provides a good profile of the character, so that it'd be easier to visualize what they look like.

Unless they're living in Hollywood's version of Los Angeles, most cops spend their time waiting for stuff to happen and investigating claims. Think Hot Fuzz, not Demolition Man.

I have a character I would love to import into this RP from the previous RPs I've done with her where she's part of a slightly more morally-grey version of dimension-jumping police. How human do the characters need to be, and are twisted versions of canon characters from existing media acceptable?

WIP Name: Chang Zou Nickname: The Monk Appearance: Gender: Male Sexuality: Heterosexual Likes: Peace, meditation. Dislikes: People that break the law and cause chaos. Powers: Levitation. He is able to control the orbs around his neck to form shields and fire them at enemies using his internal chi. Skills and Expertise: Chang is a master of chi who focuses on inner peace to keep himself calm at all times making him an ideal person for negotiation. He is also a decent fighter of hand to hand combat which is rarely used as he prefers to find a peaceful way out of a situation rather than fighting. Naturally with a mechanical body he is able to interface with most computer systems allowing him to function in different universes with ease if they are technology based. Ranking: (Make sure to keep it logical and relatively low. This is a peacekeeping force, not a fully-militarized legion of roughnecks and soldiers!) Personally, I'm fine if you post your sheet in the Characters section, and then we can tweak it if it isn't acceptable. Deadnaut, your character is accepted. I'm a little ashamed of myself, considering that you managed to post your sheet before I finished mine. Oh well, such is the curse of the terminally distracted!

Just a reminder for selecting a rank: if your character was previously enlisted in their universe's military, you can feel free to add "formerly [rank]" in addition to your current one. You also don't need to select one of the ranks from the Wikipedia link I provided; other civilian occupations and non-standard police ranks are accepted.
