Magi stood there, thinking for a moment, whether or not he could trust these people fully, he should help them. He followed Vivian quietly and looked around at all of the sick and injured, watched as she healed a child's burns while damaging herself. He wondered just how anyone could harm themselves for others, and expect nothing in return. He then remembered his own father, how selfless he was in raising him, helping others. He then decided for once in his life, he'd do what his father would do, he would help them without expecting any pay whatsoever. He walked over to a man lying on a bed, bloody gauze wrapped around his leg, bone poking the bandage ever so slightly. He knelt beside the bed and placed his hand over the man's leg, "Sanaret..."He said, the green glow surfacing around his hand once more "Instaurabo...Os..." The glow turned from green to a light purple, he placed his hand on the man, his broken leg slowly beginning to mend itself. In a few seconds, the leg had completely healed and the wound had closed. Magi stood, "This man...is healed..He will need rest.." He told the nurse standing beside him, she simply blinked in disbelief, having known him to have came in with a broken leg. She removed the gauze, and Magi was right, the leg had completely healed. The nurses began carting him around like he was some kind of toy, watching and telling him to heal all sorts of wounds, ranging from infected gashes to broken ribs.

Vivian watched from the couch she was resting on as she was made redundant right in front of her own eyes. The wizardry and whimsical magic serving to whisk away the injuries that had taken her hours, even days previously, in the space of 10-20 minutes a piece. She crossed her arms slowly, still tender from healing the child with the burns, and prodded at her cheek with her tongue, ever so slightly annoyed. She had to dismiss these thoughts with a shake of her head, and remind herself that it didn't matter, as long as people are getting better. More people getting better meant more people fighting the good fight. More soldiers meant less injured, in a sense, and that was all that mattered in the end. But then again. Wolf and Magi just popping up all of a sudden. Magi being drawn here by a blood trail. Her job being stolen from beneath her. Why couldn't she shake this feeling that something bad was going to come of all this? She stood up and walked to the kitchens nearby, grabbing the ingredients to make herself a quick sandwich. Wholemeal bread, ham, cheese, lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise, easy and tasty. She cut it into squares and grabbed the plate before waltzing over to the recreation room where they put the patients whilst they were being treated. There were various seats and a television to entertain those who weren't able to stand and use the pool table or the pinball machine. Vivian saw that the room was nearly empty at this hour, which was strange enough, and took up a recliner for herself, throwing her legs over the armrest and her back against the other armrest, placing the plate on her stomach as she set to work eating her food and watching the escapades of a cartoon rabbit and his duck friend. It served to make her giggle and snort, before one of the other medbay nurses came in asking about the new guy, Magi. Her smile disappeared as she spoke. "He's fine, as long as he helps people. If he goes a bit wiggly, tell the boys and they'll deal with him. I'm on break for a while." She knocked her boots together as if to add finality to her statement. The nurse could only nod and return to treating patients, leaving behind the sounds of jovial, girlish giggles and the snorting chuckles of a tired young woman.

His allies had not arrived. This did not bode well. 57 couldn't fathom what could have halted his reinforcements, but whatever it was would have to wait. If truly another enemy did approach from behind, he would prefer to be in the center of enemy territory when that enemy struck out. The signal was given, transmitted through the digital network that linked the Plasma Drills. With a burst of bright light, a seemingly infinitely thin line of white plasma shot down from the center of the three great drills. However, it would suffice. Anything near the beam was instantly molten, thick layers of earth and stone reduced to lava in seconds, the armored steel exterior of the base didn't make much of a difference. Heat waves flowed through the forest, and trees as far as 20 meters from the beams burst into flames, dry tinder catching the heat of the wind. Within the base, it would be far worse, whatever forces had been stationed beneath the impact zones would be decimated instantly. That 3 seconds of beaming had drained the entire energy reserves of the ships, which would need to head back to HQ to recharge, lest they risk losing control of the plasma. However, it had most definitely been enough. The first hole served as an entryway for a series of spider-like drones, clambering down the still superheated passageway with ease, dual machine guns already lowered from the armoured central hub. The second holewas surrounded by several more, who would move in as a second wave one the enemy forces had focused on the location of the initial strike. And the third hole would serve as his own entrance. With or without allies, the show must go on. Rushing forward, 57 jumps into the hall, streams of lava running besides him, the temperature even inside his suit building up to highly uncomfortable levels. As he landed, rolling into the corridor, and then swiftly jumping over a pool of molten steel, he thanked his creators for his superhuman endurance, which had once more saved him. Then, he pulled out his blade, swiftly moving along tight corridors and alleys, avoiding those that would run into him, slaughtering those he could not avoid. His target was the hospital.

Screams were what she was woken by, the screams of men, women and children as further sounds of gunfire and yelling erupted from deeper within the complex. Vivian remained still for a moment, having trouble comprehending exactly what was going on in her sleep-induced stupor. It took all of two seconds of continuous gunfire for her brain to fire into panic mode. They were under attack. They had been found, and now they were under attack. This was shaping up to be the worst day ever, first she loses her job, now she might lose her life. Vivian couldn't even manage to chuckle at her own humour as she leapt from her seat in front of the television and sprinted to the hospital wing of the complex, avoiding whatever gunfire and combat that she could. She had to get to the patients and help with transferring them, if that was even under-way yet. As she ran and ducked and dodged through the complex, she knew that recent events had lead up to this in some way. Wolf being brought in, Magi coming in shortly after, lead by a bloody trail, and now this. It was all linked to her, and now that innocent, injured people's lives were in jeopardy, she couldn't help but think that there was some blame to be attributed to someone here. She rounded a corner and squeezed herself between a patient's gurney in the hallway and the wall, barely fitting through as she cursed her wide-bottomed frame. The medbay was alive with people running around, like ants on fire, no one stopped to tell her what was up and that drove her towards the clerical staff at the front desk. Though rushed and panicked, she was told that everyone is taking custody of a patient to see over their moving. The older woman at the desk cracked a friendly smile, shaky as it was, as she recognised Vivian and began to speak on both the phone and to her. "You've been -- Yes, yes I'll tell her right away. Viv, you've been assigned to that Wolf character. He's a new patient, so he's not high on the list at all. You'll... you'll be here for a while. You know the drill, you've been trained for this." Vivian nodded at her and tried to push through the crowd to get to her patient and do whatever she could to help. An arm stopped her, the same woman was looking at her urgently. "I left something between the mattress and his gurney. You're going to be here for a while, so make it count. Get out alive." She shook Vivian's hand as she almost ordered her to live. Vivian only nodded and went back to wading through the crowd, making it to the gurney with Wolf on it as the other personnel got to work moving the patients in quick order. She took a seat next to the bed and looked at Wolf with a slight grimace, disdain building as she slowly reached beneath his mattress. Her fingers met cold metal and angular shapes. The very feeling of it terrified her as she pulled out a gleaming silver handgun and held it in her hand. It was heavier than she had imagined and she could only guess that was because it might be loaded. She hoped it was, but at the same time she didn't want to even touch it. She fixed the problems things like this caused, she wasn't supposed to make more problems with them. As wrong as it felt, she sat down in the chair beside Wolf's bed, investigating the gun further before just simply staring at it. Staring at it in her lap and waiting for her turn to move her patient.

The layout of the base was confusing, at first. It was clear that this structure had not originally been constructed for military use, and many new areas had been constructed afterwards. A number of doors would have blocked 57's advance, had they not been opened already. It was easy to slip through the streams of people, his camouflage mode making him nothing but a flicker in the corner of their eye, a shadow among so many, cast by the firefights that even now were going on. From the looks of things, the rebels were pushing back hard, using metahumans to turn the tide of battle against the drone strike force. It did not matter, the drones were there as a distraction and nothing more, as 57 sabotaged the most important systems in the area. he would cripple them, kill their leaders, slaughter the wounded, and leave them open to the second strike. Stepping from the shadows, he stopped a fearful-looking man rushing down the corridor. 'What way to the hospital?' The man in question was about to open his mouth, raising a hand in an accusing manner. Quite probably, he recognized 57, either from a previous engagement or from some campfire story. Before he could speak, however, 57 had already kicked him into the wall, knocking the breath from his lungs. There was nobody else nearby, at least for the moment. Under his mask 57 smiled grimly, as he took out his blade. There were always ways to get the answers from unwilling fools. About five minutes later, 57 stood at the door of the hospital. Around him lay a slew of corpses. Nurses, doctors, a couple of soldiers. Mostly the wounded, incapable of defending themselves. It had been easy to find them, trailing the infrared, blood and ultraviolet trail they had left. Carrying so many wounded, they hadn't been able to outpace the superhuman assassin, and they had not been able to fight him off when he had attacked from the shadows. However, already he could tell that there were more inside the hospital itself. Those who had not yet left, or those wounded who could not be moved. There was no escape, there was no mercy. He could annihilate the entire medical personel, and destroy all medical equipment. And if he got to remove some wounded soldiers from the pictures, that was just a bonus.

One of the clerical staff came by just as Vivian shuffle the gleaming silver handgun into the back of her belt, he shot her a queer look before telling her with great urgency that it was her turn to move her patient. "Y'gotta be quick and y'gotta be calm, they are gettin' closer to the medbay and I think they are winnin'. Just get this fucker out, and then you can get to safety." She nodded, unable to form words because of the intense fear that she felt within her, tearing at her mind as she wracked her brain at all the possible scenarios that could pop up from her leaving this little area. She could be gunned down, she could be stabbed, burned, brained, poisoned, taken prisoner, executed -- there were just so many things that could go wrong, it was beginning to make her tear up. But she wiped away her eyes and nodded as the worker left to attend to other patients, she had to put on a strong face and help these people. It was her duty. If she were to leave him here, if she were to abandon Wolf, she might as well just sneak out and become a vagabond. She straightened her sweater and took a deep breath before securing Wolf to his gurney and pushing aside the curtain cordoning off his sleeping area. It was now or never, and she was the last one assigned to take the alternate evacuation route. It looked like she was the only one, apparently this route went right through the conflict, and everyone else was crowding the main route. It didn't matter, she would use the route she was assigned and she would just have to be uninterrupted in using it. The less traffic there was meant the less chance of getting held up and getting shot. With a breath and a moment of hesitation, she pushed open the door to the alternate evacuation route. Her breath caught in her throat. With the gurney to her side, she stood in the doorway. Face to face with a Helios operative. What looked to be a specialised Helios operative. He recognised him vaguely. The Shadow of the Demon. Something akin to the Bogeyman, as far as she was concerned. She took a step back and drew her hand back to retrieve the pistol at her belt. Its silver gleaming surface reflected the sickly green lights of the medbay into her eyes as she held it close to her chest. She could only stutter as she spoke. "St-ss-ssstay back! I-I'm warning you!"

Screams of death, bloodcurdling cries. This is what Magi heard in the base, he stood from the chair he was sitting on in the medbay and looked around. He saw a drone making it's way across the ceiling, he stared at it for a moment, then it turned and began firing. He ducked out of the way before speaking, taking cover behind the medicine cabinets and such scattered across the room. "Globus.." He spoke, a red circle forming in his palm. "Ignis" With that he hurled his hand in the direction of the drone, the fire incinerating it. He stared around the room once more, it seems that was the only drone that made it into the medbay, atleast for now. Then he heard Vivian, she shouted, scared. Perhaps more drones? He followed the sound of her voice to the lobby only to find her holding a armored clad man at gunpoint, a man he recognized. "You..." He spat in the direction of the Demon. "You dare...come alone...?" He told him. "That...will be your downfall..." He put himself in front of Vivian and the unconscious Wolf. "Go...I will destroy him myself..." He told her. Clearly she did not know how to fight, just by the way she held the gun. "You...Demon...You will die today." He told him. "Glaciem...Carcerem..." He held his hand out, a blue circle forming, a cage of thick ice forming around the Demon. This was mostly to give Vivian enough time to escape, he knew all to well it would be a matter of minutes if not seconds before he escaped from his prison. "Go...Now...While he is trapped." Magi told her. "Globus..." He spoke, holding that power, waiting for the minute that he burst from the cell to greet him with a face full of fiery inferno.

Ice formed a crystaline water structure. Disruption of the crystals in question was capable of absorbing a significant quantity of kinetic force, due to it's hardness and brittleness. Any caliber of bullet incapable of punching through the ice without shattering it would find the force behind it absorbed by the entire sheet of ice, stopping it in it's tracks. The crystaline structure would convey the energy nearly instantly, causing the entire structure to fall as one. Of course, despite these properties, this ice would be incapable of stopping a single shot from his railgun, which would apply it's kinetic energy only to the small area it impact, leaving the rest of the ice untouched and thus maintaining nearly full velocity. It was additionally vulnerable to a sufficiently sharp blade, if used correctly. Whilst cutting 'against the grain' of the ice would cause the kinetic force to be absorbed, if one were to move the blade along the crystal's structure one would encounter hardly any resistance. With two swift moments, the front bars of the already melting obstruction were separated from the rest of the construct. A swift kick launched one across the room, where his opponent was forced to dodge. Clever application of mechanical force allowed the crystalline structure to remain intact upon impact with the metal-clad boot, as it was accelerated towards the mage. His opponent clearly fashioned himself a sorcerer. Whilst his demonstrated power consisted only of the generation of ice structures, he had spoken in Latin. 'Ice Cage', would be a rough translation. This left two options. Either he had named his attacks, as some mutants had a fondness for doing, or his power required him to speak certain phrases for it to function. The concept of required speech was consistent with the idea of a sorcerer, which was reinforced by his choice of clothing and the formation of an orb of energy around his hand as he had performed his 'attack'. As such, the strategic course of action was simple. He could remove his opponent's capability to speak, either through death or lack of air. Closing the distance with inhuman speed, 57 made swift use of the distraction he himself had created. As the mage turned towards him, a swift blow to the neck sent him backwards, gasping for air. Without air, it would be impossible for him to utter the phrases necessary for his capabilities. Equally swift, the blow was followed up with a blade scything through the air, aimed for that very same neck. Within mere moments, he would incapacitate this most troublesome opponent. No words were spoken - they were unnecessary and would only slow down the inhuman killing machine. He was created for assassination and death, to apply justice with extreme prejudice. These terrorists were those who would see the world burn for their own gain, those who were blinded by their own greed. They were less than human, creatures of filth and hatred. Every single mutant would be exterminated.

57's radio would scream with sound as slayer started playing raining blood and then a cackling voice came through, "Did you miss me yet 57?" The holes he had created made a simple entrance for Tyler an now he was here covered in his blood armor with massive blood swords coming from his wrists, (think Baraka from Mortal Combat) Tyler laughed wildly as he gutted some soldier in a hallway, "Sorry I'm late buddy...I had to pick up one of my favorite toys." Tyler pulled his Drum Action Autoshotgun off his back and started making his way through the halls, "I'm on my way to you now."

"Ignis..?" Magi said, the fireball missing by a mile and leaving him confused as he took a block of ice to the chest. He stumbled a bit, seconds before the Demon struck his throat he spoke "Armis." Nigh impentrable armor formed around him in somewhat of a transparent shell, the blow landed, but served as nothing more than to send him flying a few feet and daze him. Plink went the blade against the armor, shattering it. Crystal like dust shimmering in the air as it did. Magi rolled backwards away from him before standing. "Perhaps...I underestimated you beforehand...No matter.." Magi told him. He stretched his arm slightly out from himself, holding it close to his side. "Fulgur." At that lightning arc'd out from the yellow circle that formed in his palm. The Demon's armor would make the perfect conduit for the electricity, should one particle of energy from the lightning touch him the rest would follow suit. Of course, had this been in a bigger area Magi could use his...bigger spells. But the small area coupled with the bystanders means it wouldn't be an option to even consider.

Deception is an important tool in the battle against fools. Whereas upon a glance, 57's armour certainly did look metallic, it was not made of metal, at least not externally. Instead, it was plated with a series of scale-like constructs formed from molecularly altered glass, a material almost as hard as diamond and highly capable of redirecting kinetic energy. Furthermore, glass formed an amazing isolator, both for electricity and heat. The slight quantity of water vapour in the air gave far less resistance than this armoured suit, which had been designed with such attack in mind. In a flash, the blast of electric energy struck the floor, sinking deep into the earth. It never even touched the genetically enhanced killing machine. Few opponents realized how critical it was to understand one's target. Whilst this target was certainly versatile, he was also apparently human. A single blow was all 57 would need, a strike to the Central Cortex for instant brain death. No amaount of magic would be able to save this fool then. However, seeing as how his opponent was clearly capable of defending himself, and would undoubtedly have a variety of tricks up his sleeve, 57 would need to find a way to surprise him. One of hands already held a gun, although no human could have seen him draw it. Even as he sliced forward with the sword, forcing his opponent to move back, he was analysing the room. The amount of electrical equipment in the room, predominantly the life support systems, would require a central connection and power source. Within a second, he went through all possible connections in his mind, taking into account the knowledge he had already gained about the building through his observations on the way here. They would have needed to reroute the electrical systems in order to allow it to provide the required amount of electricity. Spotting it was easy. The gun didn't bang, as conventional ballistic weaponry would do. Instead, it was nearly soundless, a slight hum from the movement of electricity, and a hiss as the bullet was accelerated to Mach 3 within the space of a second. The impact made a thump, drowned out almost instantly by the crackling of the failing electronics. The lights went dark, as the many life support systems deactivated. Instantly, all electricity in the room was gone, and just for a moment, even the prestigious Magi was blind. As Magi would have generated light, through whatever means, he would find the room empty. Not that 57 had left. Killing Magi in the dark had a high risk of failure, even with 57's infrared vision. Instead, he was hidden, using the camouflaging capabilities of his suit to blend into the environment like a chameleon. He would wait a moment, just a moment, and then he would strike, annihilating his opposition. To go for the quick kill was to lose the day. He would be patient, and strike his opponent down when it was least expected.

Vivian watched the two clash for a moment before snapping back to her senses. Still holding the handgun, she holstered it quickly before latching onto the gurney with deathly seriousness. She pushed as if she were being chased, which for all she knew, she was. She didn't look back to confirm it, she didn't have time to look with all the weaving and strafing she was doing with the gurney in front of her. She stepped side to side and moved the gurney accordingly with a sort of clumsy grace, partly to manoeuvre the bed to fit through the various obstacles of the medbay and equally to minimise any chance of being hit by a projectile. She felt her skin burning as she moved, and barely even noticed that her body was becoming absolutely luminous in reaction to all the panic and terror running through her system. Her skin was the harsh golden of unfiltered sunlight as she exuded light like a burning spotlight. It helped somewhat when it came to finding her way around, but it only helped to accelerate her fears by making her stand out and making her a target. 'This is going to be the end of me unless I can smack this dude into the evacuation area and get gone quickly.' There was only a few stragglers left around the evacuation area, on the other side of the complex, staff ready to take the gurney and whisk it away to who knows where. She took deep breaths as she approached to calm herself and dim her light. She handed over the gurney in short order, the staff taking it and beginning to shuffle it away into an emergency exit tunnel of some sort, she was not familiar with it as she had not been deemed high enough on the chain of command to be told. The next words from the worker's mouths made her heart sink into her knees. "Sorry Viv, but we're all full! Y'gotta see if you can slip out the front door or somethin' because this way is just gonna leave you stranded when we get to the transports!" She bit her lip until it was close to bleeding, but nodded in the affirmative to show she understood. Though they weren't moving Wolf's bed just yet, she left them to their work, sure that they would have him away in due time. With panicked breaths and illuminated steps, she wandered back into the base slowly. She swivelled and peeked around every corner and over every overturned bed that she came upon. She had to be smart about this, remain calm so she didn't light up the place. With a deep breath, she swept her hand over a nearby fallen light fixture and seemed to siphon the very light that is was emitting. She felt her body warming up and her energy to move rising as she ambient light faded, plunging her into an area of slightly darker shadow that followed her as she moved from hiding place to hiding place, making her harder to spot with the naked eye. She pulled the handgun from her belt once more, feeling the weight and coolness of the metal within her slender, smooth fingers. Just holding it felt dirty, but she held it all the same. 'Better to have it and not want it, and all.' She grimaced as she pushed herself up to move again, hiding beneath a desk as a group of rebels opened fire upon a pair of drones nearby. She could only watch on and move slowly past, dim shadow following her and making her harder to spot. She had to get back to the front of the base, which meant going back through the medbay. Back through the action and violence.

Loud noises. Familiar sounds. Smell of burns and powder. Medical equipment. Heart beat accelerating. Mechanical noises. Gunshots... GUNSHOTS. His brain was trying to tell him that it was time to panic, but he was unresponsive. Each bang sent a pulse through his body that slowly woke him up... Psycho Wolf shot up in his gurney, sweating and wiping his face. Orderlies tried to lay him back down when he grabbed one by the shirt. "Where is Martyr?" He would say with a harsh growl behind it. The orderly would begin to panic, saying he didn't know what He was talking about. Wolf brought him closer and was about to speak when another spoke up, rather quickly. "She had to find another way out, sir! She brought you here and left moments ago to find another exit, there isn't enough room!" Psycho Wolf would begin to glow slightly, his energies moving in waves around his body. He was still weaker than he wished, but he would NOT allow this to happen. He didn't need to ask anymore questions. He knew that Helios had found them, and knowing that it was his fault made it worse. The lives of everyone here were on his head... Rolling off his bed and into the floor, Wolf grabbed his furs and dressed in a short second or two. He had no time to lose. "Ulfa! Það er kominn tími til að fara! Við verðum að finna hana!" He screamed as he took off at super speed, hoping to find her before any one else. He hoped the situation wasn't as dire as his instincts told him... Psycho Wolf quickly moved through the base, practically gliding through to avoid any potential hazards. The couple drones he did encounter he destroyed with a flick of the wrist, their hulls collapsing inward as they exploded from the sheer force of his psychokinesis. He felt her presence near, and Ulfa confirmed that she was close. He saw her flow as he rounded the corner. "Martyr!" He would call as he bounded to her side and slid into the cover she had hidden behind. "I'm getting you out of here, verndarengill minn." He would say quietly, calling her by his name for her, his guardian angel.

As the lights went out Magi spoke, "Lumen" a orb of light appearing in his hand, he flicked his wrist and the orb shined next to him, illuminating the corpses on the ground and the room. "Coward....show yourself...I know you are still here..." Magi spoke as he scanned the room, it was as if he had completely went invisible. He knew of none that could do so, technology, perhaps? If he couldn't see him, he would flush him out. He put his palms together in front of his chest and bowed his head slightly, before doing so he looked around the room to make sure nothing around him was alive, other than his opponent. "Ignis..."He spoke "Flagro" With that a wall of flame burst out from around him, engulfing everything in the room and turning wooden pieces to cinders in a instant, it was a controlled flame yet powerful as any. It died down a mere moment after the spell was cast, should he still be anywhere near him, he would have just gotten roasted if everything went according to plan. But of course, it was likely the coward had already left that particular room, and his efforts were for naught.

Tyler was walking about down the halls with a slight grimace on his face, he understood if they were fighting back that lethal was the only approach for them, but the ones that were running in terror? The children? why them? Tyler shook his head as he got closer to medbay, He had cut around through the complex as to not use the same entrance 57 had used, no point in being predictable. As he walked he came past an area where his instincts told him someone was nearby, Tyler looked around for a moment and then shrugged, If they were hiding he didn't need to find them cause the one he was looking for would attack him on sight. Little did he know he was walking right by where Vivian and Psycho Wolf were hiding. After taking two steps he saw one of the droids in the hallway standing over the broken body of a child, A little girl no less, Tyler reacted without thinking and started tearing the droid apart with his blood spikes, "WHY!?!? WHY THE FUCK DO WE DO THIS?!?!" Tyler sunk to his knees and pulled the child up close to him, she had the same color hair as Alissa, Tyler just held her there as it sunk in that he wasn't fit for war, he wasn't fit to fight anymore. "Why?" Tyler looked angry, 57 was leading the assault these droids were under his orders, how could he think this was okay?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hnU3C5Pu0Ac Metahmumans.... this was the term that the mutants had used to refer to themselves. They would consider themselves above humans, they believed that their powers had made them into something superior. It was true, in a way. They had capabilities no other being had, powers that even the advanced science of Helios was incapable of rationalizing. And yet, they were still human. They ate, they drank, they slept, they bled. Their powers were an addition to their humanity, a bloated construct wobbling atop the frail structure of their mortal form. An abomination that should never have existed, wreathed in the destruction they so unwittingly brought upon society. They were an evil that needed to be purged, a scourge of superhuman tyrants who would crush the entire civilized world were they not stopped here. In the eyes of those afflicted, 57 could see only the fear of those who had stared into them previously. Those 'lesser beings', who would be nothing to the supernaturally empowered. How ironic was it, in truth, that in their own supremacy they were weak? Even as the mage filled the room with fire, his body was but that of a human, straining to contain this power. His flesh and clothing was protected, and yet he flinched, his imperfect brain instinctively pulling back from the mere concept of fire. Even as the dark room was filled with sudden light, he blinked, a subconscious message forcing him to close his eyes. Even as this occurred, his eyes were accommodating, the lenses transforming to match the new parameters of the area he was in. Minimum time for accommodation was 12/10ths of a second. 57 only took 2/10ths. His automatic visor responded with cybernetic perfection, already compensating before his genetics recognized the difference. 12/10ths of a second was an ocean of time, for those who moved at speeds no human being could comprehend. The tissue of 57's muscles were double-layered, strengthened through modification, each individual cell functioning with an 87% efficiency rating. Merely running, he could reach speeds of 80 km/h. He could lift a car over his head, and with bones harder than steel, it wouldn't even hurt. his neural system had been overhauled with organic metal cells, which nearly instantly transmitted the purely electrical impulses. His reaction speed had been accelerated to more than 15x that of a normal human being through the annihilation of chemical signals. Even as the flame started as a tiny pinprick of light, 57 was already moving, flashing across the room at an unimaginable pace. It was an instant, the blink of an eye, the tick of a second, the death of a man. Slowly, the perfect warrior removed his blade from his opponent's head. It had failed to sever the Central Cortex, but that fell within the margin of error. The tiny sliver of molecularly engineered crystal had pierced the entirety of his opponent's skull, entering straight through the back of the brain. The exit was placed slightly above the right eyeball. Mild burns, about 67% of skin had been affected. Temperatures had been measured in excess of 350 degrees, no wonder he had burnt. Had he taken the blow directly, it would have had far more of an impact. However, the properties of his armour had shielded him from the blast nearly completely, absorbing the heat as they had absorbed the heat of molten metal earlier. He would heal in a matter of minutes, using a series of unspecified stem cells and reattachable carbon nanotube formations integrated into his flesh, allowing it to rapidly recover from almost any trauma. The mutants considered them to be superior to human beings. But they were but mortal, their bodies lagging behind their potential. Now, they would meet a true metahuman. ((I did not just kill Magi. Logically speaking, this wound has a 99% chance of killing a human being. However, through insane luck and most likely magical healing, Magi will survive. He will have taken damage to the brain, which can heal completely, or leave the most bizarre scars. He could learn a new language, lose memories, wake up with a new personality, lose his capability to prevent himself from pissing himself... could be anything. However, this is not intended as an instakill, and is up for debate in the OOC))

"Martyr!" He would call as he bounded to her side and slid into the cover she had hidden behind. "I'm getting you out of here, verndarengill minn." He would say quietly, calling her by his name for her, his guardian angel.
Vivian turned to him as he called, the look of panic and distress in her eyes as she raised her handgun and aimed it out of nervous reflex. The shadow she had plunged herself into hid the gleam somewhat, but it was plain to see that both the safety of the handgun was on and one could assume that there was no bullet in the chamber, given her apparent experience with firearms. She has no prior experience with firearms. As Wolf slipped into the cover of the overturned bed she was lurking behind, she lowered the gun and breathed out slowly. Her expression was incredulous, afraid and overly severe as she hissed quietly, "What the hell do you think I'm tryin' to do, buddy? Bake a goddamn cake?" She took a sharp breath in as the large, imposing man passed by. Was he covered in blood? She could feel her heart racing faster with every moment, grip tightening on the handgun as she began to shake with equal parts rage and fear. She then watched as he tore apart a droid and picked up a young girl that she herself treated not two days ago. She could still feel the dull throb that she felt when she transferred her broken ribcage and the burns she incurred from being near the mine exploding. Whatever he was doing, be it lamenting or... whatever, it make her sick to her stomach that they could just waltz in, slaughter with impunity and have the gall to feel remorse when they discovered that these were real people they were slaying. She felt bile at the back of her throat and growled to hold it back, the acrid smell of stomach acid filling her nostrils as she fought the sickness back down. She took a deep breath, and drew in more ambient light to fuel herself before pointing out the front door to Wolf, all the way behind the obscured, explosive conflict between 57 and Magi, and the bloodied man on the floor holding the child. "Front door is that way. I'm making a break for it. Stay or come along, do whatever. I just need to get the heck out of here." Her pale blue eyes stared daggers at the hallway to the exit and then back at Wolf before beginning to move once more. Slowly inching her way around the complex and towards the front door.

Magi felt the blade pierce the back of his skull, and he cursed inwardly as it did. He had let the Demon get the better of him, he had failed. He fell to his knees as the blade was ripped out of his skull, life slowly ebbing away from him. With a thump he hit the ground, he half way aimed himself so his hand would be close to his head. With the last of his strength he begun A attempt to heal himself. "San..aret.." he said under his breath, only half concious and vision going dark. "Exit..iab..bilis.." With that, a dark green circle formed in his hand, causing his head to glow as brain tissue and his skull reformed itself. Slowly he felt life coming back to him as his magic was healing him. He had lost some blood, and that was one thing his magic couldn't heal. He lie there, trying to look as dead as possible while he finished healing, luckily the Demon had turned his back on him. Most likely commending himself on his newest kill for the pride and glory of Helios. As soon as he was sure he was fully healed and the damage to his brain repaired, he spoke. "Terra..." he whispered "Maceria" He focused his power on a wall of the medbay, it began shaking and cracking loudly, with a flick of his wrist towards the demon the wall came crashing towards him. Magi stood, "Glaciem..Inpedio" at the end of these words thick shackles of ice burst from the ground, clasping around the Demon's ankles. "Globus..Ignis.." Magi said as he flicked his hand towards the Demon, sending a big ball of firey inferno towards him. Magi panted a bit, mostly due to the loss of blood. "If you are going to kill someone...make sure they are dead, Demon."

Tyler stood up and lay the child softly against the wall, he stood straight with a dark brooding look in his eyes, He flipped on his radio and called 57, "Since when do our robots have an autokill programming for children 57?" Tyler was pretty pissed off now he could feel the anger twisting through his body, "We didn't have orders to kill children 57!!!" Tyler let his arm spikes start forming, his disbelief at 57's actions turning to liquid rage in his veins, Tyler let the blood armor thicken until it was at its strongest, "You have some explaining to do..." Tyler started making his way towards 57's location, a look of malice in his usually calm eyes.

Even as 57 walked away, he heard a voice speak behind him. How his opponent had survived was irrelevant, a mystery to be resolved later. But by speaking, his opponent had lost any chance of catching 57 by surprise. Even without turning, he already knew the attack that would be coming his way merely from the description provided by his opponent. 57 jumped up, flipping in mid-air to grab a hold of the pipelines above him. The room below him was blasted with fire, but the refracted rays of heat that struck him were sufficiently weakened that his suit could absorb them with ease. In realizing the limitations placed upon his opponent's capabilities, 57 had received an immense advantage in the form of an early-warning system and description of all incoming attacks. And against a being such as 57, the 2 seconds it took to speak were a lifetime. Dropping to the ground, 57 was already moving out of the way of the next attack. He had calculated the diameter and heat unleashed by Magi's attacks, allowing him to dodge the minimum necessary distance to ascertain no damage. From a mere glance at the starting orb, he could quite easily calculate the intensity of the attack and act as such. Once he had quantified this correlation, dodging the walls of fire and ice had become a piece of cake, and he had become nearly impossible to hit. Walls and obstacles were broken apart in mere moments, provided he could even be caught within. Once more, 57 fired his weapon, timing it perfectly in the middle of the chant of an offensive spell, making it impossible for his opponent to erect some form of shield. The bullet struck at Mach 3, ripping through his body at such a speed that it didn't even create the shockwave of a normal body. In strage irony, this made the shots far less lethal - the damage inflicted was limited to the hole created, as opposed to the kinetic force that would be released into Magi's inner organs had the bullet become lodged in his flesh. But a hole was a hole, and general scientific consensus agreed that having holes where they weren't supposed to be was - on the whole - bad for your health. "You should have stayed quiet, mage. You've become your own undoing. I-" Midspeech, 57 was cut off by the communication by Tyler, directed straight into his brain. It was clear that he had been enraged, and what the cause of his anger was. 57 would have to tread carefully, were he to not arouse the ire of his companion. Or his lead. "The drones deployed have been programmed to recognize mutants based upon a standard UV-scan analysis with 86% accuracy rating. They are also specifically programmed to retaliate to any perceived form of harm." 57 never spoke, instead simply leaving the room Magi was in without a word, prioritising the possible alienation of his former ally. His thoughts were transmitted through electronic signals, translated into vocal messages by the communications device carried by Tyler. "I was not aware that there were children within the base, Tyler, there was no way I could have known. And our drones are not programmed to recognize children, because doing so accurately is hard without in-depth examination." Quickly, 57 headed towards Tyler's position. A number of commands were given to the drones that had already taken down most of the base. Protocol would demand that he simply continue the extermination, regardless of the presence of children, and he would agree. These children were soldiers, forced to be such by the madmen in charge of this terrorist group, turned into living weapons. They were too dangerous to allow to live. However, 57 was well aware of Tyler's emotional and impulsive nature, it would be best to placate him now. The drones would pull back, forming a perimiter at every known exit to the base. "I've given the order for all drones to retreat to the entrance. This will minimize any unintentional casualties. Taking into account the presence of children, we will attempt to negotiate a surrender from the terrorists. I will transmit this message to them using the vocal transmitters in the drones, and attempt to arrange some form of meeting. Unless you have any sort of objection to this proposal? It seems to me like this would be the only method to avoid the death of more children."
