I suppose we'll have to wait for word from Golem on the matter, but I just kind of assumed everywhere not claimed by one of us was occupied by little NPC nations. After all, it doesn't make much sense for there to be massive swathes of completely unpopulated land.
In the case of the desert, some stretches of desert would be worthless to secure and call your own. I'm sure it happened in ancient times at some point.

You have two options then, the wooded area in the far north or the stretch of jungle along the coast east of the delta. You could also have the small wooded area next to the river kingdom of Kant.

A canal in west cyro would really help with that. i get access to three more nations.
Edit: I'm probably going to try and get nations to build insanely long canals. xD

the nation is called qinniy empire, made by rare, and is partly done.

For my nation? Something along those lines... I'll probably just include trade relations under my Diplomacy Section, but I also plan making a few maps with my fleets and what they're doing where, which will mostly be protecting my trade ships along certain pathways.

I was kidding. I doubt the nations would spend resources to build such big canals. you have access to the southern nations as trade partners. i have access to the north nations as trade partners.
Edit: besides, couldn't we both trade with the same nations?
