Ya I'll admit the plot certainly does have similarities, though consider how little plot that series actually got into, heh.

Anyway I think I'll have saiyans be a no-no for this roleplay. A saiyan 'might' appear as a villain somewhere down the line but for the most part saiyans are completely wiped out for the purposes of this roleplay. Also saiyan characters tend to encourage power playing with their, as Krillin says "Hacks! I Say Hacks!" (from dragonball abridged), referring to how saiyans for some strange reason, get stronger after having a near-death experience. When playing saiyans some roleplayers literally just get their character beat up so they could abuse that mechanic, always felt like such a cheat to me.

Yeah. That was just me reflecting on what I inferred from all the clips.

What is your stance on Namekians?

Okay. I want to poke my interest into this RP, but I'm a total noob when it comes to Dragon Ball. I haven't seen even one of the full Dragon Ball arcs. Just a few of the episodes with Frieza when they were fighting on Namek.

Just asking if that is acceptable? I've recently been playing Xenoverse at the urging of a friend, so I have to say I am quite interested and probably going to be watching the series soon.

Would Anthros have transformations? Just wondering, this won't affect my interest.

My stance on Namekians? Not quite sure what you mean by that. Well for one thing you can't just go around fusing with other namekians for the heck of it to power up, their regenerative powers are impressive but use up a lot of ki to replace whole limbs and such. Is there something in particular that you're trying to hint at here?

Well Xenoverse should give you a pretty good idea of the kind of fighting involved. There are certainly worse places to learn about the series.

Maybe, kind of depends. More likely they would have a state kind of like kaioken to boost their power level. Transformations could possibly occur however.

Cant decide if I should make a Majin, Android, Demon, or possibly try to create my own race...

This is rather old but instead of making a new interest thread just decided to use this one.

So I was thinking about how this one started but then fizzled out at the beginning, I think the main reason was because of the beginning setting, it just did not bring the characters together fast enough and tournaments between players are just hard to do anyway. So if I decide to revive this idea from the grave I was thinking of making all the characters part of an Earth Defense task force from the start, sent off to one of the ex-World Trade Organization world after learning about aliens subduing the population. The mission will be to figure out the threat, and then report back to Earth, of course things will not go as planned.

This start off point should quickly get the characters in action and feel like they are actually contributing to the story in some form, after things go south and it will take more than fighting strength to survive and complete the mission. Well just seeing if anyone is interested if I decided to reboot the roleplay.

Also no tournaments. That kills RPs faster than anything unless you have a strict 24 hour post or you lose policy. and I mean STRICT. Don't wait on anyone, even if they say they gotta do irl stuff, they get skipped. (This is if you do a pvp tournament anyway.)

Ya tournaments would be a no-go this time around, that is what messed up by first attempt.
