Name: Eren Rivas, goes by E
Age: 18
Gender: E
Appearance:
History:
As a part of a dual-military family, E has moved from place to place E's whole life. E's father and mother met through work back when E's mother was the Platoon Sergeant and E's father was a new recruit.
E had a good childhood, despite the constant moving from post to post. E kept a few friends via the internet, and E's parents always made time to spend time with their offspring. The hardest parts of E's life were theur parents various deployments. E'S father was deployed overseas twice, and e's mother three times. They always came back alive, though her last deployment left E's mother mostly deaf, and E's father was missing his left pinky. A little battered and a bit disturbed, E's parents always came back, and did their best to provide E with a good life.
Eventually, however, when E was 15, E's mother...passed away. A survivor of untold battle was taken down by hereditary breast cancer. E's father was devestated.
He requested leave so they could visit his deceased wife's family. After a few days, E's father realized he couldn't go back to what he had. The army adventure life wasn't fun without his wife. And beyond that, he felt E deserved a permanent home. He transferred to National Guard, and since then, E has come out of their shell. E took up drama, and started making a name for their self in high school. E did JROTC, too, at their father's request, but doesn't plan on a military career.
E does stay in great shape, however, and actually ended up becoming work out buddies with their dad. One day E went on a run while their father was sick in bed, and found theirself a bit lost in the woods.
Personality: E is a sassy freaking drama nerd who enjoys anime and whose dialect is wrapped in so many layers of irony and bullshit that it's hard to tell when E is being serious. E loves a mystery, but isn't so much for exposing the truth so much as for knowing the truth themself and not letting anyone else know.
E secretly has an extremely short temper. However, E's dad taught them early on to maintain that temper. E's dad had come from a home broken by the old Rivas anger, and he made sure E understood that anger was a tool to be used only rarely, and never to harm others.
E sees themself as a protector, and indeed many people look up to E for how they always seem to have everything together. E making a mistake is practically unheard of.
E actually holds themself to a ridiculously high standard, and is often highly critical of their own behavior. E never is good enough in thwir own eyes. E sees themself as second best at everything. One of the best actors in drama, one of the best JROTC cadets, one of the best athletes in the school, some of the best grades, but constantly seeing themself as lesser because of them constantly comparing themself to their parents legacy. E's father came from a broken home and ended up being an educated and successful man and soldier, and E's mom came from a poor home with nothing and ended up leaving an amazing legacy.
E also has trouble actually connecting to people, due to a rather introverted upbringing. E never really fit in with other military brats, nor, really, anywhere else. E can joke around, but an actual conversation is nigh on impossible. And beyond that, E maintains an air of mystery that doesn't make them very approachable. E's facial expressions go between "neutral" and "heh. Smirk".
These factors mean that a high stress situation that E cannot understand would likely cause E to have a rather huge melt down.
E is probably gonna flip their shit hardcore at some point.
Relationships: (I'll modify these later when we discuss char rationships in detail.)
Kato: E looks up to Kato, and secretly is quite envious of the man. E wants to be a protector, but E's distance from people prevents this. Meanwhile, E knows that Nato is a natural protector, and is much better at it than E is. E also envies how Nato can wear his heart on his sleeve, and be so open with people.
"Our situations growing up are so similar. Two military brats who have settled down. But he seems to thrive where I just barely fall short. And beyond that...he has friends. I...have acquaitences.
I must work harder."
Elena: E gets a huge degree of please from their every conversation with Elena. She is just so...out their. E's impression of her is an egotistical woman who literally has no fucks to give. So few fucks that it is straight up virginal in here.
So E basically goes along with her antics, and even joined her fanclub for the lulz.
"Ha. Truly, I want to be just like her when I grow up. She is amazing in every way.
I love her. She might...she might be the one."
Cat: E has not seen much of Cat, but E has noticed her clumsiness and whatnot. E has also noticed her plucky nature, which E admires. E thinks she's adorable, in a kid sort of way.
"Hey, she at least keeps going. I can appreciate someone who keeps going when it gets tough.
After all, when the going gets tough, the tough trip on a rock or some shit."
Morgan: E sees Morgan as sort of their anti thesis. E grew up in a progressive, modern home based on making a new life, Morgan was taught to respect the old ways. E likes mystery and irony, Morgan is brutally honest.
However, they are both open minded people who use sarcasm to the fullest. E respects her because she's the only person E has ever met that can match their sense of humor. E actually really appreciates being knocked down a peg every so often, as E feels it makes them more approachable.
"Surprise surprise, the witch that can curse your ears off. Trust me, she is very polite and tactful. You know. Like a brick."
Mason: E is actually somewhat afraid of Mason. E heard about what Mason did to his bullies, and is frightened that it could be a repeat incident. E is also afraid that they might freak out similarly under enough pressure, because they hide their feelings too.
E more or less avoids the guy.
"He's a nice, sweet guy who definitely isn't scary as fuck.
I definitely wouldn't run the fuck away if I saw him alone in the woods or some shit."
Momento: E carries their mother's dogtags and wears them around their neck.
