Is the map on the first page of the OOC stupidly tiny for anyone else? Or just me?

Edit:
I feel like making a PoW mod for EU4 using the extended timeline stuff. (I would do Viccy2/HoI3, but I don't have any DLC for em.)

So... Anyone who wants it to feel more accurate, give me what you think your leaders Adm-Dip-Mil scores should be (and their heirs, if applicable). I'm gonna try to make it as accurate as possible, so I'll also need the exact date IC currently (I suck at keeping track of it.) All rebellions, wars, etc will all be added in, too, with their progress as accurate as I can gauge it from posts.

I would like to apply to join this RP as a rebel organization in Canada. I've already made an application. Are there any thoughts you have or changes you would like to be made?

Organization: The Voices for a Free Canada (Or the VFC for short)
Leader: Rudolph Valentine
History:
The past 10 years have been a madhouse in Canada. Their insane leader, President Jaret Arnold, has stayed in power through corruption and threats. In 1970, funding was wasted on a failed Arctic-Energy project, and Canada attacked their ally, The U.S.A., unprovoked. In this war they reclaimed Alaska, but at the cost of the political allies and the trust of their Southern neighbors. In an act of foolishness, President Arnold permitted a group of wealthy capitalists to secede from Canada, forming the North Western Coalition.
To instigate another war, Canada had sent arms support to the newly-forming New England Republic. Under the excuse that they were defending a new-found ally, the Second American War had been started, and in due time it would lead to tragedy. After the internal politics of the NWC had reached a critical point, one of the ruling CEOs had decided to launch a new, deadly weapon at a major city. On August 5th, 1976 the VX Gas Bomb was deployed on the civilian city of Seattle, Washington. The majority of the populace was wiped out, spurring the U.S. to overtake what used to be Canadian territory, crushing the NWC.
In 1977, Rudolph Valentine, 29, was an high-ranking officer with Canadian Intelligence. Seeing the madness wrought by the current regime, he couldn't continue following the orders of a psychopath like Jaret Arnold. Knowing the methods used by Arnold to stay in power, and his own training with Canadian Intelligence, he ran off with sensitive information formed a cell-based rebel organization, dubbed The Voices for a Free Canada. With their primary goals being the informing of the general populace of the corruption of the government, the removal of Jaret Arnold from power, and, with the backing of Canada's citizens, the formation of a new, more effective government, the VFC performs operations to spread the truth of Canada's madness and awaken its people to the truth; their country is mad, and they have to fix it by their own hands.
The year is now 1980. The VFC has established cells in all of Canada's major cities, and has operatives infiltrated into various sectors of Canadian military, government, and intelligence. They are closer than ever to achieving their goal of a new government. With the populace growing ever more sympathetic with their goals. Change is coming to Canada, whether Jaret Arnold wants to admit it or not.

Depending on when you start this... Yohannes (1970-1972) would be 3/5/1. Sahle (72-75) would be 0/3/0. Yaqob (75~) would be 5/4/2. Tewodros. Sahle's heir, would be something more like 3/2/5

Also, I think Minh's post confirms that the time-space continuum is melting down in South America.

A servant entered the room carrying a silver platter with tumblers of scotch in them.

"I know Ambassador Geraldo is a scotch man," Lillian said with a glance towards Moreno. "I wasn't sure on your preference, madam minister so you will have to forgive me if you don't care for it."

The secretary of state plucked a glass from the platter as it passed by and held it in her grasp.

"The thing that the White House, and by extension the State Department, is most curious in is the upcoming elections. What's your take on how the vote will go?"

"The president is all in favor of stronger ties with all of Central and South America," Lillian said with a polite nod. "But he recognizes Brazil as the preeminent region power in South America. Our two countries should be linked arm in arm to preserve the Americas from outside influence."

"I've always preferred wine, but there is certainly nothing wrong with a fine glass of scotch, Secretary Mather. Thank you for your hospitality," Adelina responded.

Y'know, @Arcedia, you could just join as Canada as opposed to a rebel group. It's been years since Arnie (Canadas original player) was around, you could just say Jaret Arnold was overthrown/lost an election and Canada has a new Prime Minister. We've had enough Hometown Superpowers in America, I think.

It's interesting that we're seeing a resurge of interest in the Americas. We have a US, a Mexico, a Chile, a Brazil, an Argentina and now a Canada.

Of Note:I am still in PoW. School has just been grinding my nose against the wheel quite hard lately as well as an essay that our English Teacher pushed on us, putting me mout of a writing mood. Will return after the conclusion of the state-mandated tests, or before then if I can find time.

Well, I looked at Canada's history of the past decade, and their leader seemed like some sort of Kim Jong-Un/Il-esque psychopath, and I like the idea of a rebel faction forming in a major world power. I'd imagine that Canada has had some major dissent in President Arnold's rule, and I thought forming a new regime based in violently rejecting the past one would make for an interesting development.
At the same time, I'm testing the waters of this RP, as I'm not very used to doing these things via forum (I'm mostly an IRL roleplayer), and I thought that, if I end up being too flaky and disappearing on you all, it would not be strange for the rebels to simply be crushed and Canada to remain as it is.

Anyways, per your app I wanted to talk to one other guy from here about it, as it stands I only managed to sit down with Byrd, our America. But between he and I we came to the conclusion that you certainly read the opening post. But what the two of us would like to see is some more content written beyond what's in the OP. We'd like to know stuff like who the leader is, their perimeters beyond deposing Arnold (because besides meglomania there'd have to be some issues that effect things on a broader scale than an intel agent's ethical qualms), how they expect to combat the regime, and how the regime might fight back.

It makes sense to me since it'd comfort me to know you have some thought in it and at least have some sort of idea where their goal is, how it might be achieved, and how long it might take knowing where all the points of conflict are, personal and political.

You got a fine app so far but when you can sit down it'd be cool to know some additional stuff. There's some good five RP years of unwritten material between when the original Canada (Arnie) disappeared and now.

That's fine. You seem to have a plan in place and that's what we like. Playing as a rebel group is an uphill battle, IC and OOC, so be prepared for the slog.

Yeh, we've had so much trouble with rebels in the past that we've went the "No miracles" path, so we'll expect your rebellion to be brutal for you as well as the rest of Canada. No one-post master strokes.

Two things -- What's 'Polat'?

Secondly, a rebellion in Canada would be... Interesting. There are plenty of places to engage in guerilla operations from (and plenty of good places to hide), but, if the government is anything like the actual Canadian government, they're probably fairly experienced with that sort of thing themselves. Hell, most of the actual Canadian government's plans for defending against an invasion largely involve guerilla warfare. Granted, that's probably partly because actual Canada has a relatively small military, but I'd imagine that PoW's Canadian inhabitants are probably at least somewhat similar.

Polat is the sound something heavy makes when it hits water. Also, it's the name of a dude chillin' out in Chapa's Georgia.

And PoW Canada was filled with angry British expatriates who wanted to punch something, so it was more aggressive. Or, at least, that's post-fact excuse we've made. Precipice Canada was, back when we were a regular nation rp with looser restriction, rped as randomly aggressive.

Ah,I see. That explains a lot.

In that case, I wouldn't be surprised if the Canadian government is even better at guerilla warfare than it is.
