Hmm. That sounds like a pretty cool idea, @Rakurai. Let's see what other people think of it.

And I'm not sure what kind of classes I want yet. No idea if I should use Radiant Dawn's or Awakening's. I think it's best if we use the former.

What do you mean by positions?

And yay, more interest!

I liked the radiant dawn classes quite a bit, so I feel we could use them, mostly if we go with chapters.

Classes

Again, I'd suggest avoiding copy/pasting from an existing game.
It's better off if you select the classes you'd like to see in your roleplay and add them.
If there's a class from FE# you really like and think will fit, then there's nothing stopping you from importing it in. I personally haven't played anything after FE8, but have watched my brother play up to Radiant Dawn. The rest... are lost to me, so I don't know the classes from that point onward... guess I could go look it up on Serenes.

As for classes I meant a list of vacant positions in the roleplay. For example you might list

-Available Positions-
-Mercenary
-Myrmidon
-Myrmidon
-Mage
-Mage
-Archer
-Priest
EDIT: NOTE: I am not a GM, and this is not an official list, it's just as an Example, refer to TwilightDragon or Solace's posts for official statements

Effectively preventing people from clustering around a certain class *cough*Myrms*cough*.
And omitting Pegasi completely for whatever reason.
I'd also start be restricting the RP to one character per person, and then open up secondaries later on (perhaps with the added advantage of more classes? This is mainly cause it might not make sense to have Pegasi around if we're starting in the far south under the employment of the Southern Kingdom, but might make sense to do it later.)

Hey Solace (Don't worry, I don't know you)
Good to see the Co-GM, I'm assuming you're Mr.Ironfist? xD

Yep, he's the one. @Solace is going to give us the nitty gritty stuff, since he's good at this type of thing.

As a person who usually likes to start with two charries, we should cap the starting amount of characters as two, and then people make more as time goes on.

We don't really need any positions, either. We can just prevent people from clustering around a certain class, unless filling in positions is good for everyone else.

Just saying, I'll be making an archer and a dragon knight/wyvern rider.

In the mean time, this seems like a nicely sized group. As long as everyone promises to be active and not disappear off the radar, I'm going to close this to any more people.

Ehh it's a bit early to close applications in my opinion seeing as how most have really only expressed interest based on the FE label, and have yet to be informed about what the RP is about itself. I'm posting like crazy and contributing(?) ideas, but I'm not committed yet myself, it depends on the characters and what's settled on at the end.

That said, I suppose you can reopen apps at anytime.
Just think it'd be a pity to turn away someone good now since they'll probably never check back even when apps are open xD

Though I have to ask, ideally how many players are you aiming for?

If you think of it that way :S

I'll be tackling the initial and long term plot, as well as the setting of the roleplay. I've got like, 40% of it in my mind, already.

EDIT: We won't really have a set limitation on people, but I do believe I'll know when too much is too much.

How about the aesthetics of the kingdoms? One is Western and other is Eastern?

I meant Asian for one and Western for other. If not, Western European for one and Eastern European for the other.

I was actually going to have it that certain tiers of classes would be unavailable early on (unless allowed for special reason like the person's status as an officer in the army or something like that).

So like, Tier 2 classes would be unavailable until "Part III" or something in similarity.

This is so we do not have fifty Swordmasters waving their blades around at the poor enemy Archers in the beginning

I don't think there'd be any real reasons not to allow a trainee class, but unless this roleplay will include some sort of stat-based level up system, having a trainee class is sort of obsolete.

That said, someone might want to start off with a complete lack of weapon proficiency and develop that in the plot. For example a civilian might pick up a blade and 'class-change' to a myrm.
I don't really see why such a character would need to start as a '-1class' as they could just write myrm on their CS and point out their inexperience in the IC. But for people who prefer to select a class based on the early flow of things, it could work?

To prevent a bombardment of 'Is this available' questions, it might be an idea to get out a list of available classes if possible. I personally prefer the position option, but that requires a bit more thought.

Nah, we could have them.

Though, they don't necessarily fight. They'd be more like the aforementioned "civilian" classes, which would probably not partake in a battle, but for example, would remain at the allied camp to raise spirits and morale after a bloody battle so they can be motivated for the next battle, in a war sense. Just an example, though.

@Rakurai
I think the gist of having a trainee class is kind of obsolete, as well. I intend to have it that you could introduce a character in Part I, and have them as active characters for the rest of the Parts, which could potentially constitute their growth from "trainee" to "veteran".

Altogether, I think the term "trainee" would just mean inexperienced as whatever class they are, and not defined as an individual class.
