"Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the Third Annual Market Street Pokémon Tournament, hosted by The Devon Corporation! I'm your announcer and guest panelist, Samantha Liu of the California Gym Circuit, and we're set to begin shortly! Registered contestants, make your way to the central arena floor for a word from our head referee!"

The words rang out through the massive gymnasium, its wooden floors echoing with the footsteps of hundreds of spectators. To one side were bleachers, more than enough to hold the large audience, along with several food and beverage vendors, and to the other side were three areas covered in floor mats. Each was marked off by ribbons, and judges stood at the sides of all three. Nearby, a table stood on the floor with three people. One held the microphone, a pretty young woman who stood proudly in her chair.

Thirty-two competitors. Five rounds of competition. Only the best of the best would be able to make it to the top, and win a one-year contract with Devon Corp. It would be hard fought. Who would come out on top?

Making his way to the center arena, Zach looked around at the competition. Some familiar faces were present. The teen had expected that though, after all, he had seen that Mark guy handing out invites will-nilly. That must have made him some kind of Devon Corporation representative.

He was nervous. Never before had he stood in front of so many people, and he had to battle like this? Shaking his head, he tried to rid himself of the nerves. Pros did this all the time, and ultimately, that was one of Zacharias' goals. To make a living doing what he and his Pokemon loved.

"Heheheheheheheh~"

Beatrix was once again within a line to sign up to the tournament, swaying side to side with a smile plastered across her face as she awaited for the line to shorten. Thankfully for those around her it was not long before she had signed on and left for the central arena floor where she could wait for the ref to give his little speech. However she could not help but take a look around on her way, trying to spot the girl named Alice once again as she remembered their interaction before.

--------------------------------------

"I uh, sorry... But I needed to get away from them so I said I was meeting you 'cause you waved and it seemed like an easy way to get away from them... So, uh... Sorry?" She mumbled quickly, blushing pretty deeply.

"Yeah... No problem. Glad I could help" She blushed as well, fueled by the other girls own blush. Soon they would part ways with a goodbye but Beatrix did mention that she hoped that she would meet and battle the girl at the next tournament.

----------------------------------

Suddenly Orin shoved her back again, snapping her out of the little daydream she was in "No" Bump "NO" Bump "A month's supply does not just mean all for you, you know that right?" She lifted up a sleeved hand to push and shove at the floating sword in a rather casual manner until she spotted Zach from before. "Hey, he has some you know" Beatrix pointed towards Zach, and almost instantly the Honedge flew towards the boy and tried floating around him in a attempt to find the backpack he kept his stash, even if he didn't really have one.

Timothy suddenly feels over his head as the tournament announcement proclaim exactly what he'd found himself into. Thirty-two combatants was a lot of people to beat, but he was confident that he would make it pretty far. He really only had to beat five people to win. And it was all about being prepared for those right five people.

Keroma pulled at his leg and pointed toward a food stand. "Yes, I see it too. I just want to see who I'm up against first."

Timothy moved between and under the taller folks around him to find a vantage point at the board so he could see who he was up against first and second. If he was lucky, he might get to watch his second round competitor before he had to face them.

The crowd was so much bigger. Alice stood in the middle of the arena with so many people looking at her, she could feel her knees wobbling beneath her. The last competition was hard enough but now there were more opponents and more pressure. There was no way Alice would be able to win this one, she felt it already. IT had been a hard decision, whether or not to fight in the tournament seeing as she got enough money from the last tournament to, coupled with her saving, travel the country. But, she knew her Pokemon and it didn't take a genius to know that they would want to battle. She needed a chance to get to know Biscuits better, the two had trained a little more since the last tournament, but they still hadn't perfected their style together. It would take time, but all of her books told her that a competition like this was the perfect place to raise a Pokemon like Biscuits.

To make matters worse, Alice could see strangers looking her way, whispering about her to their neighbors. It had been a small tournament, but word traveled quickly and she knew she had been labeled as someone to watch out for. She didn't consider herself a tough trainer, but she did consider her Pokemon to be strong. If they worked together, then they had a slim chance. However, with this many people staring at her, she felt like she was going to pass out any second now. She prayed that the tournament would start soon so that she could get out of the spotlight for at least a couple of minutes.

Timothy spotted the co-winner from the last tournament in the crowd of people. He was pretty sure she wouldn't talk to him again, but decided to at least give a wave and try. "How are you? Get any good training in since the last tournament?"
