"it's no problem" Leon said as he walked out with Joe. "um, hey" it was Leon's turn to be nervous "do you...want to go explore the town together?...i mean if your going to...and i hadn't thought of what to do yet, but...going around town could be...nice" his voice trailed off a bit and he nervously twiddled his thumbs and glanced down "I...i-if you wanted to go on your own that's fine too, i could go...somewhere"

I looked at Leon and looked a bit shocked. Not because I didn't want to or that I didn't like Leon, but because I was unused to others wanting to hang out with me. A bright smile spread across my face. "O-Of course! The more the merrier." I said. "A-Am I making a friend?" I wondered, trying to keep my giddiness from bubbling to the surface. "Let's get going then!" I said smiling and walked off of the campus and toward town, excited about what we might find in the town.

Remliel stared on as the little fiasco settled down. She huffed while playing with a banana. Humph, nothin happened. That's kinda boring . . . she thought. Maybe I can get one to spar with me? That Hikaru girl looks cool; even if she is hiding her personality. Come to think of it, I never did ask her how she pulled off that shadow thing . . .

With a sigh, Remiel leaned back and enjoyed the sensation of food passing through her gut. That was a good meal!

Leon smiled as he walked alongside Joe towards the town, he was glad that his first time exploring the town would be with a friend. Maybe they could find a place were he could replace the bullet Mikkish wasted on the dorm window as well.

"Ah... it's all so dizzying..." I mumbled as we walked through the crowded streets of the sprawling city, the buildings reaching high into the air, occasionally passing by a few street performers, either earning tips through average skills, such as playing the guitar or juggling, or others using their magical talents to put on dazzling shows. I took a deep breath, staying close to Leon. I had always lived in a relatively small town, so the transition from a small town to a large city such as this was a bit overwhelming. "Well... at least we won't be able to get lost." I said, looking at Leon.

I pulled out a map and unfolded it. The first thing that was different was that it was showing our exact location on the map. The next thing that was definitely different was when my finger brushed against one of the other markers on the map. It gave a short description and picture of the location, in this case it was city hall near the center of the city. "Pretty neat, right? I got it from the library yesterday." I said, smiling cheerfully. I knew that I'd have to get a job, so I found a marker for the shopping district.

It showed a large main street with several shops on the sides of the road and smaller shops lining smaller streets that spread out from the main street. It came up with a description saying 'This bustling hot spot is great for budding mages and tourists. Ranging from specialty shops for spellbooks to weapons, to simple shops such as hobby shops and clothing stores. There's something for everyone, make the Shopping District your destination today!'. "Mind if we stop here first? I kind of wanted to see if I could find any work." I said, rubbing the back of my head, the image and description disappearing from the paper.

"Oh no, you're making the face. That face, the face of a perv, you perv." Said Hikaru after Mikkish's answer.

"I'm just givin' you the privilege of inviting me a coffee, nothing else, think no further than that ok?"

"Also, clean yourself up a bit, men should always make sure they're clean and nicely dress when talking to girls, That's like an unwritten rule you know? Yet you seem as if a train had run over you"

Leon looked at the street performers as they passed by, he had been to a few large cities in his travels but nothing like this with all the magic displays, it was fascinating, he looked back at Joe and noticed that he seemed a bit overwhelmed, then a moment later Joe pulled out a map, he moved a bit closer to get a look at it and saw it's special properties "cool", as Joe pointed out the marketplace he said "seems like a great place to start, lead the way"

I nodded and led the way. When we arrived, we were greeted with a multitude of shops packed against each side of the street, people outside calling out deals and trying to get customers into their already bustling shops. There were a few places to eat and a cafe where people could hang out at. The shops ranged from selling alchemy ingredients, spell books, and weapons, to selling regular books, fishing gear, and clothing. Basically, it had anything anyone would ever want or need in one place.

"K-Kya... it's so busy here..." I mumbled, putting my hand on my cheek. I turned to Leon. "So, any shops you want to visit?" I asked, I didn't have much money to spend, about a hundred dollars, and from the looks of it, if one wasn't careful, they could spend ten times that by accident. I had left most of my savings with my mother, not wanting her to struggle while I was away, I knew that what I had left would be enough for her to live on for a few months, but I had lied to her about how much I was actually taking with me. I knew that I wouldn't have many expenses and I'd find a job as soon as I got here.

Mikkish wanted to facepalm hearing Hikaru, but people in real life didn't facepalm. After all, this isn't an anime cartoon.

"You do realize that one of the possible reasons I might not look exactly like Ashton Kutcher is because you kicked me across the room, right?"

Finley was glad she had come to get breakfast as she watched a male get kicked across the room by one of the females. She laughed softly and took another bite of her bagel before going bak to reading the book that was laid open in front of her. She plucked her earbuds from her bag and plugged pushed them in her ears. The music plate loud enough to erase the noise of the crowded cafeteria and allow Finley to focus on her reading. She crossed her legs underneath her, balancing on a bench while she chewed her food and flipped the page of her book.

After finishing her meal, Finley placed her book in her bag as walked out to the front lawn of the campus. She sat down in the shade of a large tree and pulled her earbuds out- pushing them back into her bag. She watched a couple students picking on a girl by throwing the bag bak and forth per her head. "Idiots.." Finley muttered under her breath before catching the bag mid-throw with her gift. Slowly she returned the bag to the girl by dropping it into her arms. The girl scurried off while the two males looked around for the culprit that ruined their fun. Finley smirked and pulled her book out to begin reading again just as the two brutes noticed her and began to walk her way. Finley paid them no attention as one reached down and snatched her book from her hands. She sighed and shrugged, focusing on the book which was pulled forcefully from the brute's hand, opened back to her page, an set back in her lap calmly.

Remliel, finished with her meal, decided to take a small walk around before going back to training. She passed by several people testing, having fun with, or showing off their abilities. She sighed. It would be great if there was someone here who was as eager for a fight as she was; again, it should be stated that although Remliel loves a battle, she won't start one for no reason. In fact, if there was someone who was willing to be her sparring partner, the amount of fights she would get into in the campus would curb immensely.

"Fat chance of finding someone like that though," she muttered.

After awhile, she passed by a pale looking girl who looked like she was being ganged up on. She looked like she could handle it, seeing as the girl didn't seem too worried, but whatever; it was a chance to have a little exercise and do a good deed at the same time!

"Hey! You two buffoons over there! Haven't you heard of picking on someone your own size!" she called out to get there attention. Then she paused, looked at them and then at herself and realized that she picked a bad saying - seeing as she was so freaking puny. "Okay, wait, screw that! I meant don't gang up on other people and fight fair and square dammit!"

"Could be, but it also add that you're ugly, you dress like an emo and clearly you're not smart enough to avoid an incoming dive kick" Said Hikaru with a grin.

"So yeah, the book, does it contain a portal to another dimension filled with aliens and robots? Or is in real not magical and just filled with words like <Dear diary, today mean mean Hikaru kicked me>. Regardless, as I said I don't care." Said with a tone of mockery

"But, I'm interested in certain item, a key, a magical key to be precies, as long as one of your phalanxs I presume and colored in gold. It's supposedly to be unique and hot to the touch. All I know is that is magical and is probably around here in the campus. So, had you seen anything like that? If the answer is yes, that's good. If the answer is no, keep an open eye okay?"

Finley looked up as she heard a female voice yelling at the two bites standing on front of her. As the two males turned to face the newcomer to the situation, Finley stood up and calmly placed her book back inside her bag. She laced her arms through the straps and pushed in between the two brutes, purposely shoving her shoulders into their backs to make her own pathway. One of the males grabbed her by the back of her neck. Biggest mistake of his life.

Finley reached a hand over her shoulder and grabbed onto his wrist. Her hand suddenly engulfed in bright blue fire. The male screamed and tried to pull his hand away, but the fire slowly creeped farther up his arm even as Finley let go. A trick she had learned later on in her self-training. The male tried to brush the flames away, rub his arm on the ground, even smack it out with his opposite hand, but the flames stayed as long as Finley's eyes were locked on the fire. Then as suddenly as it appeared, the fire left and swirled through the air before landing in Finley's open palm in a circling motion to form a ball of blue fire. The male stood and ran toward the nurse, clutching his arm to his side- the skin red in color and blistered and boiling from the heat of the flames.

Finley walked toward The female who had appeared seemingly out of nowhere to defend her. She stopped when she was next to the girl and pointed over her shoulder at the other male who just stood there in shock. "That ones yours if you want," She said with a menacing smile toward the other male and laughed softly under her breath. "You think what I did to that guy was bad, just wait until she gets a hold of you," Finley said back to the male, referring to the super-strength and badass girl she was now standing next to.

Remliel's eyes brightened. This girl was pretty cool; not only did she have fire powers, but she left her the remaining guy! Now that was generosity. She grinned at the girl and gave her a thumbs up, mouthing a silent 'thanks'. Now, as for the remaining guy . . .

It appeared he wasn't as worried as the person who had run. In fact, he looked kind of livid. Actually, right now he was looking kind of gray. And brown. And rocky. And big.

"Huh, he just turned into a giant rock . . . thing," said Remliel, observing the newly formed rock giant. It stood five meters tall, with patches of stone and dirt forming its body. Pieces of the ground were gouged out and added to its body, leaving holes around them. Remliel bared her teeth, a wild look in her eyes. "Right down to business huh? I like that!"

With a roar, the short girl charged towards the large giant, which swung its fists at her. Abandoning defense, Remliel swung back with all her might. The two fists clashed, and eventually one gave way: Remliel was sent flying off a few meters back, her knuckles bruising badly.

"Ow ow ow, okay, ow, that isn't normal," said Remliel, getting up from the ground shaking her fist. Normally, stone and rock would have been ground to dust by one of her punches. She looked at the stone giant. "Oh, of course. Magically reinforced stone, figures."

"Alright then," said Remliel as she cracked her head at the sides rolled her shoulders. With a grin, she walked towards the stone giant again. "This just got more fun~!"

She paused and turned to Finley, unsure about what to say. "Uh, you . . . don't happen to want to join in, do you?" she asked. Truthfully, Remliel was hoping she would say 'no' because she wanted this fight, but she couldn't begrudge another person the right to join in on a scrabble.

"Bitch, this" Mikkish swept the back of his hands across his shirt briefly "Is called style. You may want to take a course on it. Who the fuck wears THOSE anymore." Mikkish said, gesturing towards Hikaru's handkerchief tied around her neck "And second off, you only landed that hit because you clearly violated the "no auto hitting" rule.

"Aw shit. I probably shouldn't have said that. Violates the fourth wall. Let me just cross that out...."

"Anyway, you also may want to lay off the shrooms. What 'magic key?" Sure, there are mages and magical devices that stop magic and a free academy which I didn't even need to apply to to get into, but there are no scalding hot, JK Rowling style, magic keys."

Finley watched the male shift and smirked softly. She examined the Stoney figure and then looked back to the female who seemed all too excited to get to fight. She watched the girl lunch and throw punched that would have sent Finley doing flips across the campus, but the rocky male didn't budge. When the female stood back up after being thrown away from the fight, Finley watched shake off her bruised knuckles like they were paper cuts.

Remind me never to get in a fight with her.." Finley shook her head to answer the female's question of if Finley wanted to join. Fighting was something Finley only did in defense or when she had no other option. She gestured toward the stone man, "He's all yours." Finley sat down and crossed her legs right where she was, content on watching the fight ensue with front row seats.

"Oh thank god," sighed Remliel in relief. Before blinking and adding sheepishly, "Uh, I meant, well, I just really wanted this one."

She returned once more to the rock giant, that looked pretty agitated that it was being ignored. "Now, where were we?"

The rock giant swung a huge stone fist at her in response. "Oh yeah, that's where we were," she said with a grin. Remliel caught the stone fist with both her hands and pulled the giant towards her before letting go and pumping her both of her fists backwards and throwing them towards the head of the incoming giant. The momentum of the pull plus her own punch generated enough force to punch through the magical reinforcement of the stone, and her hands buried inside the rock head.

"Uh oh," said Remliel. Her hands were stuck!

The stone giant pulled itself up and despite having no mouth, laughed. With Remliel stuck on its head, it constantly beat her by smashing its hands on her back. Remliel grit her teeth as she absorbed the blows.

Remliel charged her fists with a small amount of power. With a roar, Remliel punched her hands even deeper inside the stone giant in a second with the force of a tank shell. Following that action, chunks of rock and stone exploded everywhere, destroying the form of the giant and leaving the man from earlier exposed and unprotected. Removing her own physical enhancements, Remliel punched the mans body three times before grabbing his head and smashing it literally into the ground, leaving him buried like an ostrich.

Remliel stood there and looked at her opponent before freezing and arcing her back as pain surged through it. "Ow ow ow ow! Jeezus, that's the last time I try to fight without using magic again," said Remliel rubbing her back. "Ow, that was pretty fun though. Hey girl, thanks for that!"

She approached Finley and patted her on the back.

Leon Looked at all the shops and vendors in the market, "well i still need to replace my bullet" his stomach gave a light growl "heh...and maybe we could find a place to finish breakfast at later but other than that, well, i'll go with you" he said to Joe with a smile. he didn't have much money, about $23 to be exact, but he did have a small collection of precious gems he got in his travels, he keeps them to sell one or two when he needs money, the gems were a sort of universal currency in that way, useful since he traveled a lot. he pulled an emerald out of the pouch on his belt and held it in the palm of his hand "i don't actually have much money, but if we can find a pawnbroker around here i can sell this"

In the far off distance I heard something crumbling that no one else seemed to notice. "Uh... did you notice that...?" I mumbled. "Uh... never mind, probably nothing important." I said, shrugging, I looked at the emerald and blinked a few times. "It's beautiful, it seems like almost a shame to sell it." I thought.

"Anyway, yeah, we can find somewhere to eat after a little bit of shopping." I said smiling. I looked around the main street for a pawn broker, there was a weapon shop, but no pawn broker. "Hm... maybe there's one down one of these little side streets." I said, I walked along the main street and walked down each side street until I finally came upon a small pawnbroker.

"Ah, here we are." I said smiling, the side street didn't appear as busy as the rest of the place, so it was a nice little place to take a breather. "I'll just be out here, taking a quick look around, you go on inside and take a look around, alright?" I asked.

"Hold on, don't touch the Handkerchief" Said Hikaru while auto hitting Mikkish's hand with hers.

"Seriously? I mean this is like my trademark. Let's picture this, we have George and Bob. George asks Bob <Hey Bob! Do you know anything about Mushrooms?> Bob replies <No, hell I don't, why don't you ask Hikaru? She sure knows about them> Then George with a face of incredulity says <I don't know who is Hikaru> However, Bob, smart as he is says < She is the girl with the red Handkerchief!> George with a smile replies <Oh, I know who is she already!!!>. Then I tell him 'bout Mushrooms and happy end!!!." Said with a grin.

"Now, let's go to the opposite. Bob asks George 'bout Vibrators. <Hey George, you know about vibrators?>, George replies angry <Huh? What do you think I am asshole? Of course I don't, why don't you ask Mikkish, I heard he loves to use them... Also, why do you want a vibrator anyway?"> Nervously Bob replis <Uuum!... Is just for a job, nothing else. COUGH, COUGH. Anyway, who is this Mikkish you talking 'bout?"> George replies slightly confused as he can't find a good description. <Uuum, is the guy who dress with "style" and certainly does not look like Ashton Kutcher> Bob with a dubious face says <Seriously? Can't you give me any better clue. That could be anyone!> George nervously adds <Well, he does look like a faggot I guess>. Eventually Bob would reach a random wrong guy, probably David and won't find shit about vibrators!!!"
