"very well" the captain replies, typing away at her bracelet before both she and malice are teleported onto one of the fully functioning ships which seems to be quite a bit more utilitarian than she was used to as each little quirk of the design was meant for maximum efficiency rather than comfort, making the teleporter room rather small. A satellite is indeed left in orbit around the planet, but any cursory scan would show that the captain had not lied about it's scanning equipment, before the ships warp out, the particular one housing malice warping to the lunar bases for a pit stop before the clones, malice having been outfitted with a collar that seemed to prevent her from using her force abilities to a degree as she could barely do more than sense the most obvious of things. Malice is actually deposited in a jail cell for processing rather than imediately taken to the clones and is questioned rather thoroughly over her culture, traditions, diplomatic practices, fighting styles, weaponry, mystical methods, and cuisine though they are at least nice enough to keep the sensitive questions general enough that she could safely answer them without risk of rebuke from her master(s).

"ah yes, we've come across them. rather abrasive bunch. what specifically do you trade them?" she replies evenly, having ordered a burger and a refill after the fighting had died down enough for their waiter to come back.

"Very well. I am sending you coordinates mapping out certain areas, which are equipped with automated defense systems. I would recommend that you steer clear of these areas, for your own safety. I have also marked a number of large spaceports within my realm, which serve as a waystation available to all." Mathew moves his finger over the control panel on his arm, utilizing a combination of neuro-interface and a simple touch screen to insert complex commands. Immediately, his will was done.

At the side of the ship were two large circles, heavily shielded. Energy flickered, as matt activated them, and two massive portals formed on Babylon's sides. A number of smaller ships emerged from these gates, each about 500 km in length. Two Drone Carriers, three Annihilation Barges, and a single Command Ship. A standard formation for moving into potentially hostile territory, armed to repel any form of resistance that might be encountered, but not equipped for planetary siege.

The formation of ships quickly made it's way to the indicated coordinates. While they lacked interdimensional warping capabilities on their own, they were equipped for FTL travel. Babylon, however, would be able to call uppon Matt's entire fleet at any time, unleashing great swarms of battleships. Whilst it itself was a dangerous foe to be sure, Babylon's true power lay in it's role as a control centre for Matt's vast robotic armies.

The soldier that had been asking her all these question sighs and hands her a small slip of metal with a hologram coming down, saying evenly "please fill this form out and we'll get you your ID and take the collar off", the collar having not directly nullified her powers, but rather, inhibited her ability to concentrate well, rendering her unable to do more than the most basic of force abilities which had been ingrained in 'muscle memory' rather than through exertion though she had at least been able to keep her lightsaber and remained uncuffed. The form she's handed is rather simple and noninvasive, just asking for her name, age, medical history, and previous occupations if any with a brief description of them tacked on in parenthesis, most likely especially for her since she was foreign.

"allow me to reword that; if we were seeking a trade agreement, what goods might they be interested in?" she replies evenly, seeming rather diplomatically inclined, the particular wording used allowing for the question to be answered without disobeying orders.

@thewizardguy

The ships pick up the energy signatures of literally every planet that could be colonized sporting some form of power generation, showing that they were either being used as colonies or power generation facilities with the outlying gas giants literally shrinking while they watched with sattelites orbiting them and firing some form of energy beam into the core to some unknown device which seemed to be breaking down the gasses and liquids into base components before teleporting them else where, most likely for processing into whatever was needed. Once the ships reach the minimum distance into the solar system where they could be classified as actually being in the solar system, they're hailed by one of the colonial sergeants. "unidentified space craft, you're in sergal space. keep your weapons uncharged and state your business. failure to comply with either order shall result in imediate destruction. you have been warned." the sergeant says with a rather taciturn tone, showing that the fact that there was a small war fleet, was already being shown as hostility on the part of Matt's empire.

"we'll make a stop by the nearest one and see what they have to offer in terms of trade. if you'd permit us, we could deploy some sattellites around your planets that function as communications arrays and let further ships know that the planets have already been searched and to go ahead and ignore them" the captain offers over the comms, the frigate's engines already being powered up for travel.

The Colonial Sergeant, assuming he is capable of performing scans, would notice something rather surprising. There were clearly several classes of ships, but the scan results were puzzling at best. First and foremost of which was the fact that while the ships seemed to be battle ships, there were very few identifiable weapons, or energy projection technology whatsoever. Secondly there was the fact that 3 of the ships contained to room for a cockpit, or any room for crew whatsoever.

The Annihilation Barge was heavily shielded and armoured, and carried 8 light energy projection turrets. However, these weapons clearly weren't designed to deal damage to ships above fighter class, and wouldn't even inflict serious damage to an armoured hull. There were two large turrets on the side, but there were no energy readings emitting from them. It's propulsion system seemed to be designed for speed with nearly no maneauverability, but it would be able to outrun most foes.

The Drone Carrier had a heavy shield, stronger even than the Annihilation Barge, but almost no armour plating. It was equipped with no visible weapons, and seemed to serve as a large troop transport. However, much like the other ships, it seemed to lack life support and artificial gravity.

The central ship was equipped with powerful sensory equipment, as well as a variety of miscellaneous gear of unknown purpose. It seemed not to serve any military goal besides regulating the other ships, as well as serving as the fleet's 'eye'. It was heavily shielded, but only bore light armour plating.

In response to the message sent by the Colonial Sergeant, he received an automated return message. "By order of Emperor Matt, stand down. Firing or aiming of weapons systems will be seen as an act of war, and will result in the annihilation of your person, and any and all forces under your command. Should you act on orders of superiors, they will be annihilated, as well as any and all personnel under their command." The ships then proceeded to move through the system, as the Command Ship began scanning the planets. Their mission was to scan each planet present, as well as any space stations they might encounter. If necessary, however, they were fully equipped to perform the extermination they had promised.

the planets present appear to be in the process of being either populated or harvested for resources, the gas giants being shrunk as they scanned, while the rocky planets were being opened up and having their cores broken down for resources, the two planets and their various moons within the goldilocks zone currently all being habitated with subterranean production facilities honeycombing most everything with planetary defenses are dotted around, each one strong enough to take out ships if the shots were placed correctly, with EMP rifles hidden amongst them with the potential to completely disable any drones launched in very wide areas, shielding devices surrounding the planet which would make bombardment impossible without specialty ships, rendering victory chances at less than ten percent with survival at nearly zero.

"further threats such as that shall be taken as hostility. stand down and state your purpose or we will take it as hostility and act as such. this is your final warning" The sergeant replies irrately, her voice showing reluctance but willingness to do what was needed. The captain contacts emperor matt, stating evenly "emperor. your ships are appearently exhibiting hostile intent. if they do not co-operate then they shall be fired upon. if they're automated then i'd suggest pulling them back so as to avoid war" her voice sounds concerned more than bossy, as though actively attempting to avoid war.

((Forgot to reply to the sattelites))
"I would need to personally investigate any device that would be placed in orbit around my planets. Not just a model, every individual device would need to be checked and scanned thoroughly." Matt had more to say, but he was cut off by the broadcast he received from the planetary sergeant. Sighing, Matt turned it into a three-way call, as the Sergeant informed him of his ship's actions. Of course, such a response had been anticipated, but Matt had no time nor patience to deal with niceties right now. "My ships are not exhibiting hostile intent whatsoever. My ships are scanning your planets for weaponry so that if you turn out to be a threat to my empire, it will take less time to crush you."

Matt stands, as he looks at the two holographic figures before him. "I own more planets than you can imagine. My emperor has lasted since before your race existed. The only reason you continue to exist is because annihilating you would be a waste of resources. If you turn out to pose a threat to me, however, then your annihilation is suddenly well worth my time." Matt holds out his hand, as a robotic arm hands him a cup of an unknown liquid, which he sips. "I will not enter your territory unarmed. Nor will I disarm myself in front of you. I have no wish for war, but if you believe I will show weakness you are incorrect. If you wish for war, then I can only promise that I will make your defeat a swift one."

The ships respond, the on-board AI selecting the best method of response for the situation. [Our current task consists of extensive scans of each planet within this solar system, notification and classification of all structures. No military tasks have been issued. Fully authorized for armed retaliation.] The two drone ships seem to move to the bottom of the formation, moving into a low orbit over the most heavily equipped planet, as several hatches open along the sides. [Permission to launch Recon Drones?]

"i can allow this" the captain replies, firing a satellite into orbit around the planet, it slowly making it's way there so that it can be scanned well before it enters range of the turrets, the scanners showing it was solar powered, exhibiting no weaponry, and instead housing geographical scanners as well as a communications array, allowing for long distance conversations with the sergals to matt should the need arise. "however, damage to the satellites will be fined of course" the captain adds evenly once a firing path had been plotted for the sattelites, the material of which seemed to be a mix of an odd stone with organic qualities and a strange metal, the communications clearing up once it was deployed, making the conversation less about trying to discern what each party was saying through the minor static and more about actually speaking.

"we don't ask you to disarm. we ask you to remain non-hostile. at this point the best we can offer is a non-aggression pact due to your less than stellar attitude" the sergeant replies evenly, her fingers flying gracefully over the keys before the shielding around the planet takes on an unknown property in response to the ships' transmissions, showing that they heard all communications between himself and his troops at least while in their space. The sergeant sends back a simple message [define the purpose of the recon drones for further orders and allow a systems scan. belay extensive scan in favor of geographical scan. failure to heed orders will be seen as invasive and hostile. we give you privacy so give us privacy].

The sattelite was intercepted en route by a small worker ship, primarily used in the construction and maintenance of space-based structures. A powerful magnetic net captured the sattelite, before it was transported towards Babylon IV, where it would be thoroughly investigated for any possible threats. Only after confirmation of it's harmlessness and a thorough study of it's composition would it be allowed to enter orbit around Matt's worlds.

The ships respond as such. [Recon Drones for extensive scan of weapons and defensive systems. Acquisition of details pertaining to global activities and production facilities. Strictly non-military usage. Request for system scan pending. Request for alteration of orders denied, as it contradicts the primary objective.]

Matt receives the request for a system scan, as he worldlessly issues his commands through neurological link.

[System Scan authorized for Drone Carrier and Recon Drone. Request Denied for other ships.] The Drone Carrier lowers it's shields, allowing the Sergal scans to penetrate it. They find the systems wholly unintelligible, completely foreign from their own grasp on technology. However, they do discover that, unlike previously believed, there were no hollow spaces within the Drone Carrier, and it contained no Drones. Instead, it seemed to house a massive engine of sorts. From the energy it was emitting, the Sergals were able to make out that it functioned as some form of portal generator.

"I have no intention of performing hostile action, provided your people do not initiate conflict. I have nothing to gain from this war beyond a few measly planets, which would undoubtedly be destroyed during the battle. However, if you continue to prove hostile, then I shall be forced to respond with force. I cannot afford to have another threat on my borders, nor can I afford to allow an enemy of my empire to retain any form of power." Mathew's words, although carefully chosen, were true. Should the Sergal turn out to be an enemy, he would be forced to hunt down every remaining member of their race. Too often had he seen what even a small group of survivors could do, were they allowed to escape. "The final decision rests with you."

the sergeant types away, the designs and power routing systems cataloged for future study before the drones could detect jamming equipment coming online at various points along the planet, the shielding dropped briefly as they receive a message [scan authorized, all remaining scanable points are free for inspection.] as satellite after satellite is launched at the emperor's planets, the launching device housing them appearing to function similarly to his drone carriers, his scanning equipment being rerouted so that he could scan each one as it was loaded and prepared for launch by the surprisingly computer-savvy captain, each one functioning exactly the same except for one which seems to also house a turret defense system/mining equipment, the explanation being transmitted to him as it being shipped to an asteroid field rather than to one of his planets with an authorization key for him to collect appropriate taxes from it's activities. Though if questioned as to where she got the system map for his empire, she simply replies with 'from a billboard on the station in the trade and shipping section'

"it appears as though we've finally found some agreeable terms for this situation at least. though the matter of trade still requires debate. Our energy, food, and base resource goods are higher quality than those reported by captain Elecia's crew from their journeys to your station. however your use of robotics and technology are quite fascinating. if you would be willing to part with some of your notes that we don't have then i'm sure i can arrange for a number of shipments to be delivered to your nearest stations in proportion to how useful your notes are" the sergeant says evenly, seeming to be typing away at a few different terminals at a time at a pace and efficiency that would at least demand some small measure of respect considering her brain appeared to be unaltered in any visible way.

While this is all going on of course, the drones find that they're only really able to scan basic weaponry carried by civilians that happened to be working either at mining, massive agricultural, or trade facilities all of which didn't really reveal much aside from that they had a logistical sense that put his to shame, their agricultural expanses being augmented by various scientific and mystical means, alowing for harvest after harvest as the plants would grow only minutes after the scythe had collected their predecessors, ranching being much similar with their population specialized around the tasks they preformed, meaning ranches had a sub-society within the farming town that could self sustain if cut off from all others but still remained highly productive in their assigned duties. The civil research facilities however reveal nothing of import as the things they're researching are just as foreign to matt as his ships were to the sergals. Although, the truely wonderous things he finds is from the scans of the trade sections, showing such a wide array of goods that betrayed an incredibly vast and most likely multi-dimensional society, their goods of the highest quality by his standards, but of only average quality by their own, showing a constant striving to improve at whatever they did as well as further cementing the sergeant's claims of better quality goods. Though large portions of the cities defences are voided from scans due to jamming equipment, they are allowed to scan the more common defenses which seem to be large energy cannons that appeared to constantly be in a state of at least minimal power, allowing for constant ground coverage as well as EMP cannons that seemed to have been powered down to avoid showing hostile intent but looked to be able to fire as far as deep orbit. Although there is a funny occurence where a newly built frigate is launched with an incredibly efficient design with what appears to be a carrier mentality as corvettes could be detected within hidden bay doors while it's main cannon seemed to have incredible power potential with it's shields actually comparable to the planetary ones with a multi layer to them, preventing shield piercing shots from being effective though it did seem to support retractable turrets for countering fighters.

[request to limit scanning points denied] the Command Ship replies. Moments later, the Drone Carrier activates, each of the hatches opening a new portal. Each portal was about 1km in diameter, and capable of transporting large quantities of matter from pre-determined points. The technology utilized was in many ways similar to what the Sergal used in their way gates. It could only link to specific locations, but was significantly more stable and durable than a more general teleportation system.

From the portal emerged large cylinders which dropped down into the atmosphere. After passing the sheilds, these cylinders break apart into hundreds of individual flattened spheres, which spread over the country. Many of these large cylinders are dropped, teleported in from the production/holding facilities placed at some other location within Matt's empire. Around 100 drones fit within a single cylinder, and one cylinder was launched to the location of each city or military gathering. Any location with jamming equipment is targetted with a cylinder as well, 100 drones per location.

Thousands of drones buzz through the streets, through the clouds, through the centres for trade and production. It's a rather surprising sight for the citizen, but interference with their daily lives is kept to a minimum, as are inspections of civilian homes. Every detail is noted, encrypted, transmitted and catalogued. Although the Sergal are able to capture the transmissions if they wish, the language used is completely foreign to them, and they have no method of translating it. Every single civilian was scanned, every lifeform studied, every product catalogued. Those areas containing jammers were invaded and scanned regardless, the jamming overcome by the sheer variety and strength of various specialist drones, as the more important military systems, such as the shield generators on the planet, are scanned in detail. It would be important for Matt to study this technology later.

The weapons were mostly focused around energy projection, which seemed to be a technology mastered by the Sergal. At least the civilian weapons were as expected, laser-based weaponry utilizing the same mana-based energy sources as the ships, if on a smaller scale. However, the details of the schematics give a clearer idea as to how the mana was being manipulated.

The food was heavily modified for high-speed growth, much like Matt's own creations. However, this use of plants caused the ground to become rapidly devoid of nutrients, ensuring the prediction that within 5 years or less no plantlife would be capable of growing on this planet any longer. It was unknown whether the Sergal were unaware of this, whether they had a system in place to replace the naturally ocurring nutrients, or whether they saw the food production as so expendable. The quality of the food was high, clearly engineered for the purpose of better feeding the inhabitants. The content of the fruits said much about the inhabitants' biology.

The shield generators were completely different from Matt's own systems, which relied on a combination of gravitational fields and false mass to block incoming attacks. While Matt's shields were mainly constructed to block matter-based attacks, their shields were of a magical nature, and seemed to create a powerful physical barrier. This would be resistant to almost all forms of energy, as well as being capable of blockading matter. The only way to break through would be to deal sufficient damage to the shields to outdo the power supply keeping them active.

Several turrets on the planet surface aimed up into space, clearly built to withstand global siege. They were of little interest, as they were a fairly simple yet effective build of EMP, as well as a number of powerful energy projection weapons. It was clear this was not a core world, as the defenses would not be capable of withstanding a dedicated assault, but they remained formidable for a colony. They provided some insight as to the great military strength of the Sergal, if nothing else.

The alloys and metals utilized by the Sergal were inferior to the military grade materials utilized by Matt, but this was simply due to their relative inexperience with the variety of elements found throughout the multiverse. This showed evidence of rapid expansion without customization, whilst their technology was great, it had been acquired in a short period of time. The Sergal were not yet comfortable with the technology, and had not yet refined it.

Meanwhile, the additional sattelites sent by the colonial sergeant reached Allied Space, and were consequently annihilated. The exact cause of their destruction was unknown to the Sergal, although they could wager a guess that it was the 'automatic defense systems' that Matt had described earlier. "If I didn't know better, I'd think you were trying to send objects into orbit around my planet after being reprimanded for doing so. I would recommend that you cease such activities. No object will be allowed to enter orbit around RH-01 until they have been investigated by me personally. No exceptions."

The only spaceport within this dimension under Matt's control is the one currently under construction on RH-01, the first and only planet in this dimension that Matt has laid claim to. The rest of the list includes 5 different locations, all of which are within a certain system not yet visited by the Sergal. If Elecia were to move to any of these location, she would find that no trade occurs at these ports, and the only ones who entered were those from different empires. The people of Matt's empire had no access to space ships, and all interplanetary travel was done through method of portals.

"I have no need for goods from your people, my personal production equals my use at all times. However, I might be interested in an exchange of technology. Your people seems to utilize a method of energy manipulation unfamiliar to me, which I would like to investigate further if possible."

the information transmitted by the scout drones, while able to pierce the jamming fields, was warped by them beyond use, the fields seeming to be reactive in nature rather than static which created the problem of the specialty drones not able to fully prevent the jamming, leaving pretty much any information garbled beyond any form of use with large sections corrupted.

"i patched you into the scanning systems on board so you could personally handle the scanning and inspect them yourself. it would take too long to deploy them" the captain replies evenly, any changes made to the satellite that he'd personally handled being swiftly detected and rectified simply due to the partially organic nature of the materials used.

"that could be arranged, though i will warn you that the jamming feilds were put up for a reason. if you wish to deny our privacy then expect no privacy to be given" the sergeant replies dryly, her computer skills already showing a distinct capability to manipulate odin well enough to get favorable results for herself at least.

She fills out the forms, but she does so skimping out on all, and any info the Sergals could make heads or tails out of. In her current mental state, the sith was more like a scared pup than anything else. She holds onto her saber tightly, the only thing giving her any comfort.

"Mainly weapons." Shepard replies, taking a long drink of a bottle of water he seemingly pulls out of nowhere. "...Weapons, and workers. Not slaves, just...workers." and with this, Shepard sighs, before getting a call from everyone's favorite sith lord, Raiden. "...I sent you a present Shepard. It seems the sergals did as well...hehehehehehe...." Raiden says, before shutting of coms. "..What did he mean by that?" Shepard asks, looking at the Sergeant.
