Finn sighed before picking himself up off the mat. He'd lost and now it had probably just reinforced everyone's thoughts that he was some spoiled, Principle brat. He moved towards the wall where he slumped down to the floor. He wasn't exactly in the mood to talk. His body ached and his pride was probably more bruised than anything else. He'd come here to make a difference but he knew he wouldn't be able to do that if he didn't get better. He chewed his lip as he watched the next two Recruits get ready to fight, trying to put the thought of his own loss out of his head.

Nya waited against the wall, continuing to observe her peers. No one stood out as high competition to her though there were a couple kids who weren’t terrible. Sure, there were students who were stronger but they tended to be sloppy. She could see their moves before they executed them. It was written on their face and in the way the held themselves. Their muscles would tense, their weight would shift, and then bam - they’d punch from their favored fist. She was deep in thought when Sky announced the next round of competitors. Nya heard her name and her heart sank. She was going to fight Colt. He was the one person she knew may be a threat. He seemed to know his body more than the others did. She took a deep breath. No use in worrying , she thought. Nya went back to looking around. She considered going back to the girls she had first tried to approach when she came into the room but decided againt it. She wasnt really in the mood for small talk. Then, She looked over to Seril and saw him still wiping blood off his face from his round with Chess. She grabbed a towel sitting on a small table a few feet from where she was standing and walked it over to him. “Shitty match, no?” She handed him the towel, hoping he was in the mood to take her mind off her upcoming match.

Seril took the towel laughing as he proped himself up on the wall "That kids pretty fast, I wonder if he'll be able to even fight Mason" he said imagining the bigger boy ripping the smaller one in half, he shivered. Not a pretty thought. Wipeing the blood away he chuckled under his breath, he hasn't thought he was gonna win but he thought the fight would have lasted longer than that. The other boy was just to fast though, before he evennknew it the other boy was dropping a foot on him at dangerous speeds. Serilcould tell this wasn't the first fight the boy had had with a bigger opponent. He looked back at Nya, "Was I that bad?" He said thinking of how much of an ofe he must of seemed like.

Derric Vs Dyana!

Derric frowned as he heard the announcement of the next fight. Another girl? He didn't have any problems fighting them of course, but he much more preferred punching makes in the face... It gave him a lot less of a feeling of guilt. As he stepped up to the mat he faced his opponents, narrowing his eyes. There was something off about her... He felt as if the room began to spin without any warning, causing him to suddenly stumble back slightly and close his eyes. Holy shit there was a ton of emotion spilling off of this girl... That was a huge problem. Once he had recovered from the sudden assault on his sense, he stepped forwards and nodded at his opponent, already knowing he was at a serious disadvantage.

Dyana silently screamed in happiness from Colt winning his battle, but at the same time dreaded it. She almost couldn't stop herself from thinking about his guy and his whole attitude changing from last night to now. Her mind started to go into a daze until she slapped herself in the face "Focus on the task at hand dumbass...focus..." she heard her name go up on the next bracket and yet another silent cheer out as Colt wasn't her next opponent. Instead the guy that had faced a girl prior was. She still felt her emotions going from between her task at hand and to Colt, but she walked after her opponent who was heading to the mat. She noticed that he seemed to stumble a little but waved it off and shook her hands a little, getting rid of her jitters. Nodding back, her face seemed to go flat and waited for the match to start.

Derric narrowed his eyes as he observed his opponent carefully, attempting to use his gift in order to retain focus. Unfortunately it seemed to be doing the exact opposite, which meant throwing off every single sense he had. His sense of smell, sight, sound... Everything seemed to go haywire until he gave up trying to use the gift entirely. It was only confusing him. "Focus Derric..." He mumbled to himself as he slowly took a step towards her to gauge her reaction .

Dyana moved back slightly, smiling a little "Guys got me shaken already..." she moved to the side of him and started to attempt to circle around him, not so much making an approach but more so trying to get the matvh moving instead of still.

Derric mirrored her movements as he began to circle her as well, pressing his lips into a thin line. He actually had little-to-no experience when it came to hand-to-hand combat, which meant he usually relied on his gift to give him the ability to fight back. Without it he knew he was in a majorly unwanted position right now. Knowing they were on the clock, he quickly stepped forwards and threw the first punch, heading straight for her head. "Might as well jump into it..."

Dyana was a bit shocked at how fast he was striking, but how open he was. She quickly quickly grabbed his fist and arm, using his weight against him, and pulling him up and over her, slamming him into the ground. Releasing him, she stood over him and fired off a punch towards his face.

Derric felt the wind leave his lungs as he hit the ground with a sizeable thud, however that was fortunately not enough to stop his reaction to her punch. His hand flew to the side in a sweeping motion, knocking her arm to the side so that her blow only barely missed the side of his head before he attempted to shove her off with as much force as he could muster with the little air he had.

She was shoved back and rolled backwards onto the floor and landed on her back, kicking herself up, she started circling him, letting him get up and catch his breath, she wasn't smiling much anymore and yet another thought of Colt popped in her head, making her even angrier.

Derric's face visibly formed an expression of pain as he felt her feelings of anger flow over him once again, once again muddling his sixth sense to cause him to lost concentration. He did his best to recover and take a readying stance as he hopped off of the floor, but he had to admit he was most certainly confused as to what in the world was going on at this point.

Dyana watched him get off the floor, then in complete sense of anger, she ran towards him, sending a fast kick to his right side with all her strength.

Derric barely even moved to block it, feeling the strike his side with enough force to stagger him backwards as he grunted in pain before doing his best to recover, using his already moving momentum to spin and send another kick back at her side.

She saw him stagger, and saw his body move to kick her with his momentum. Ducking under the kick, she got low and moved to sweep his other leg that was keeping him up.

The boy moved his body to take the brunt of the fall on his back, doing his best to roll backwards and stand up quickly. The girl seemed to be entirely focused on anger now... As long as she focused on the one emotion he would be able to use his gift to imitate her ability to fight.

She went back to circling Derric, thinking for a moment, then she ran towards him again, this time sending a jump kick towards his chest, she would never try a move like this, but her anger made her want to get this match over with.

Derric smirked as he stepped forwards, confident he could counter this move... However he made the slight oversight of assuming that she was done with her anger. Unfortunately as he stepped forwards the girls emotions spiked past anything she had before, causing him to essentially stumbled directly into the kick and fall onto his back harder than anything the girl had thrown at him up until this point.

Dyana took the chance, quickly jumping on top of him and putting her knees on his arms. Sending a vicious right punch into Derric's face. Then sent a left hook, effectively knocking the kid out completely. Dyana got off his arms and felt his pulse, making sure he wasn't dead, before sighing and getting up, bowing to Sky and then to Derric before stepping off the mat and going up against the wall.

Holy damn! That girl beat the shit out of him. At least she took his pulse. Alda let out a short whistle and stepped forward, hauling Derric off of the mat so that he'd be safe from the next set of fighters. "Hey sleeping beauty," she murmured with a sharp grin, giving him a couple of gentle slaps to attempt to wake him up. "How's it feel to get your ass beat so hard that your soul leaves your body?" Of course, she was only referring to herself but she assumed that he wouldn't know. "Apparently her name's Dyana, but it's probably closer to Karma, amirite?" she added, looking around in hopes of having her stupid joke acknowledged.

Derrics head was pounding as he vaguely heard his friend speak, though it was far off and sounded as if it was echoing over and over again. He had enough coherence to hear the las thing she said before he groaned and slowly sat up. "Fuck off." He mumbled weakly, though he gave her pained smile to let her know it was all in jest. "She had an unfair advantage she just didn't know it ..."

Colt Versus Nya
Colt watched Dyana’s fight with interest. He was curious as to what made her so angry, as was Sky. “Alright then… I guess Dyana is moving onto the semifinals,” Sky said carefully. Sky then looked back at the bracket. “Alright, Colt and Nya, you’re up next.” Colt smiled and popped his neck, looking over at Nya, who does not look nervous one bit. He cocked an eyebrow. This was definitely going to be an interesting fight. She looked like one of the more difficult opponents.

They walked out into the center of the floor and Sky began to count down yet again. The two opponents stared each other down. As soon as Sky finished, Colt launched himself at Nya. Nya swiftly side stepped him and shoved him into the wall, doing the same move Citrine did. Colt slammed into the wall and coughed as the wind was knocked out of him. Nya reared back to kick him against the wall, but Colt quickly dropped to the ground and Nya’s foot hit the wall. Colt rolled away and jumped back up to his feet.

Colt charged directly at her again and swung a punch at her. She slipped underneath his arm, grabbed it, and yanked it behind his back. He let out a yelp but didn’t back down. He slammed a foot into hers and ripped her around, slamming her directly into the ground. She saw stars as she looked back up at him. He tried to slam his fist directly into her face, but she rolled out of the way, rolling directly at his legs. He jumped over to her and that little bit of time managed to allow her to jump back up to her feet. This time, she rushed at him. She surprised him though. She slid to a stop a few feet away from him and slammed a hard blow directly into his jaw.

He felt something pop, but he didn’t stop, even as a blaring pain shot up and down his jaw. He didn’t want to hit a girl to ruin her pretty face, but Nya had just pissed him off. He slammed the heel of his hand directly into the center of her face, possibly breaking her nose, he didn’t know, and tried to roundhouse kick her temple. Still stunned from the blow to her face, but not enough to knock her out, Nya blocked his kick and twisted his leg. He jumped up and kicked her in the temple with his other heel. She fell to the ground, dropping her leg, but almost immediately jumped back up. Colt stared at her, panting. What the hell was this girl? An Anomalous?

She swung another punch at his jaw, but he deflected it. He grabbed her wrist and twisted it back behind her back. He began twisting and he knew immediately that he could break it. Sky knew it as well. “Colt, stop,” Sky hissed. Colt didn’t stop. He continued to twist and Nya let out a gasp of pain. “Colt, enough! You won, alright?!” Nya whimpered slightly and Colt punched her directly in the temple, shoving her to the ground. She swung another punch at him, hitting him in the cheek this time. His fury overtook him and he nearly leapt on her if Sky hadn’t come and knocked him away. Sky pinned Colt to the ground and glared down at him.

“Colt, you need to learn to control your anger,” Sky hissed at him. Sky shoved him into the ground and Colt glared up at him. Sky walked over to Nya and helped her to her feet. He took her over to the wall and leaned up against it, glaring at Colt. “Colt wins.” He then looked at Colt closely. “But if ANYONE does that again, they will be kicked out of the Guards before you can even say sorry.” Sky gritted his teeth and walked back forward.

Dyana watched Colt fight viciously and then watched as the fight quickly went south, moving forward she pulled Colt back from Sky and the mat and stood next to him, checking his face. "Hey this could start becoming a new trend with you, your daily plant you on your ass day by an instructor, though next time, no matter the rage, mind if you stop? If not for my sake, then whoever is out there waiting to hear from you" she moved her hand over his face.

Touching it gently she didn't want to hurt him "can you move it? I saw that punch she dished out" she looked at him and half thought about their exchange earlier. Looking at her hands, she stopped and lowered her gaze "I'm sorry, I have no right to touch you..." She started to move away, in an attempt to stop him from getting more pissed off.

(pre-fight)

Nya laughed slightly at Seril’s question. Seril’s face echoed her amusement. “I wouldn’t use the word bad, per se. It was more…predictable. I knew you were going to lose. I should have told you ahead of time but I didn’t want to discourage you.” She slid down the wall to sit on the floor and motioned for him to do the same. “You should try to be more passionate about your fighting. That’s why he beat you. He wanted it more. Next time try to find something that gets your fire burning and focus on that. It’ll give you something to fight for.” She winked, then Sky called her name and she got up to face Colt.

----------------------------------------------------

(post fight)

Ah, damn it. So it appeared that Colt could handle himself more than Nya had suspected. She had never been in a fight with that type of person before - someone who almost seemed intent on hurting her. It was the one thing she wasn’t able to prepare for by fighting with Codeeva. He would never have tried to hurt her intentionally. Sky helped Nya over to the wall as he barked at Colt about his behavior. While he motioned for the next couple to begin their brawl, Nya tried to rotate her shoulder. She couldn’t even make a full motion before she yelped in pain. Oh no. She turned to Sky. “I think my shoulder is dislocated. I….I can’t……it…..it won’t rotate.” She tried the same circular motion with the same result; a sharp, agonizing pain. She tried not to panic. She knew the injury wasn’t something that would last long term. She looked at Sky’s face. He was proud and stoic. She felt a strength radiating off of him. He wasn’t worried and seemed almost apathetic of her injury. She knew that she, too, should be apathetic. She evened her breath and looked him square in the face when she asked, “what would you like me to do?”

Alda smiled back at him, despite being as secretly-concerned as she was. "Will you need any help standing or getting anywhere?" she asked, taking a seat next to Derric. "If I knew how to check for head injuries, I absolutely would, but I'm sure they have people here for that." She fell quiet to watch Colt and Nya fight, or rather, watch Colt have some kind of scary temper-tantrum and nearly break his opponent's arm. Suddenly he didn't seem so hot anymore. He seemed more crazy every time she saw him and she hoped that there would be no more interaction between them.

She glanced at Nya and wondered whether to walk over and pop her shoulder back into place.

"Nah..." Derric mumbled quietly as he slowly managed to sit up and shake his head, wincing at he feeling. "I've survived worse than this without doctors I'm sure I'll be fine. She sure did throw one hell of a punch though..." Derric wouldn't deny he had gotten his ass kicked, he was above making excuses. The only problem was now he knew he was a point behind... Something which greatly bothered him.

(ooc: Written in collaboration with @SheriffLlama)
Chess cracked his knuckles staring across the mat at his opponent, he couldn't say he'd ever fought anyone this big but you know what they said there was a first for everything. He wiped the small amount of sweat that began to accumulate on his forehead and got in position. In his head he was thinking of different ways to even approach the boy, he ran through sweeping the boys legs but that wasn't gonna happen without a lot of effort. Soft points, everyone had their weak points, Goliath was felled with a single stone, Chess hoped this would work.
He charged at Mason full speed throwing all of his weight forward as they neared the middle of the ring Chess sent a shot out at Mason’s throat he jumped connecting and suddenly stopped there. Chess squirmed but felt like he was stuck in the Krakens own grip. He looked into the eyes of his opponent “Shit”.
Mason’s attack was far less tactically oriented than Chess’ - he grabbed the smaller boy as he threw the punch, turned 180 degrees, and sent a heavy punch straight into his jaw, leaving him to roll to the edge of the mat. Chess saw lights as he hit the mat with a yelp, he looked up feeling like a freight train had just hit him directly in the face. Chess looked up to see the bigger boy closing the gap he had just created. It felt like Mason was the invincible super villain at the end of the hardest video game. You can’t lose cause of some huge Goliath of a person. Lose because he was better.
Chess jumped off his ass and onto his feet running at the bigger boy in his slow ascent forward, just when he got in reach he dropped to one knee sending an elbow directly at the boys grown. He slid until a brutal impact and stood up fist ready to meet Mason’s chin.
Mason received both blows with a good bit of pain in their respective areas. He briefly stumbled, but regained his foothold, glaring daggers at Chess. That was dirty… Mason cracked his neck - if Chess wanted to play dirty, he’d play the same way. He turned and threw a heavy punched, and then rushed him like a bull, trying to pin him on the ground, but Chess tried to break free immediately putting both his feet on Mason’s chest and grabbing him by his ears he head butted him with all his force right in the other boys nose sending his head back. Chess took this moment to launch up off Mason’s chest kicking him in the chin as he spun backwards, landing there feeling blood dripping from his face he fell to his knees as his head began to spin. He shook his head trying to clear it.
The room grew dark in his peripheral vision, and all he could see was the other boy. How are you still standing. Chess thought to himself.
As Mason staggered to the ground, black spots dotted his vision, and he could’ve sworn his vision had gone red for a split-second. He shook his head and his eyes cleared, though his surrounding were slightly out of focus. The larger boy stood his full height and glared at Chess. He felt a bit of anger rising in his chest, but he did his best to suppress it. He pushed off the ground with his right foot and charged Chess, slamming into him and sending him to the ground.
Before he could get to his feet, Mason knelt down, putting a hand on his chest. He straddled the smaller boy and pulled his elbow back, then released a hard punch into his jaw. Then a second - then a third. Before he threw the fourth, he saw blood had risen to the surface of Chess’ face. He breathed hard and searched the kid’s eyes for a sign that he was going to fight back.
Chess’ eyes flicked wide for a brief moment and he sent one last shot up into Mason’s throat this time with his fingers bent leaving two main pressure points. He lost consciousness and woke up with blood drying on his face. The other boy he had fought from Till threw a towel on him and walked off laughing.
As mason regained his breathed from Chess’ last hit, he stood to his feet. Sweat beaded down and stung his eyes, and blood dripped from his right nostril. He glared briefly at sky, turned, and walked off the mat. He pushed past a couple recruits and slammed the doors open, heading towards the bathrooms.

Citrine looked up after Chess and Mason’s fight, cringing as Chess stormed out of the room. She looked over at Sky, who looked just as surprised as she felt. “Winner: Mason, I guess,” Sky said, waving his hand. Mason’s name moved up in the ranks next to Colt’s and Dyana’s name. She took a deep breath when she saw that she was going up against Paige. Both girls walked out onto the floor before Sky could even finish talking.

Paige walked out onto the floor as well, looking over at the younger girl. Citrine smiled carefully at her and both girls took their positions. Sky began the countdown once again, not even announcing who was fighting. He got to zero and both girls ran at each other. Paige dropped down, going for Citrine’s legs, but Citrine quickly flipped over her. She landed on the floor where Paige stumbled down. She slammed against a wall and was dazed for a minute.

Citrine took this opportunity to kick her in the ribs, knocking the wind out of her. She then aimed a kick to her head and it was over in an instant. Paige was now unconscious on the floor and Citrine smirked. She turned to Sky and nodded before walking off to stand with the others.

“Alright then. Citrine wins. We are now down to the semifinals,” Sky stated, looking at the board. “We have Dyana versus Mason and Colt versus Citrine. Let’s get this going. I’m getting bored.” He looked over at Nya. "Oh yeah. Get up and don't be a fucking wuss. Someone pop her shoulder back in place PLEASE..." He sounded irritated.

Colt glanced over at the other Luminosity girl, raising an eyebrow. She should be fairly easy to beat. With his size, there would be no problem. The girl looked back over at him and the blood just drained from her face. Citrine was scared. She was actually scared. She trembled slightly with fear as she and Colt walked onto the floor together.

Colt took a deep breath and looked over at Dyana. He couldn’t go out of control. He needed to stay sane, for her. He took another breath and looked over at Citrine. Sky counted down yet again and the match began. Citrine made the first move, realizing that Callous had told her with her size and quickness, one quick shot to the throat will put anyone out. She aimed for his throat, but he caught her hand before she could. He twisted it back behind her back and threw her on the floor. She let out a gasp of pain, but didn’t go down. Immediately she jumped to her feet and back pedaled rapidly.

Colt, in the meantime, took the chance to crack his knuckles and her off balance to take out her legs from under her just by sweep his leg under hers. She almost fell again, but she quickly did a back handspring back up. She leapt to her feet and kicked Colt right in the ribs. Hard. He coughed as he felt something pop in his abdomen. He collapsed to the floor, placing one hand on his side. “Fuck,” he swore under his breath. He stood back up though and punched Citrine in the collar bone. She stumbled back from the force of the blow before crippling to the ground under a hard right hook from Colt. Colt stumbled back, still holding his side. He knew one of his ribs was broken, but he needed to keep fighting.

Citrine regained her balance slowly, but under the five second mark. She stumbled to the side and gingerly touched her temple. Man, all of them were going to be covered in bruises tomorrow… She took a deep breath and rushed at Colt again, hoping that he would just end it already. Which he did. He grabbed her by her arm and shoulder and threw her against the wall, face first. With so many blows to the head, she slipped down the wall and passed into unconsciousness.

Colt turned to Sky and snapped, “You happy now? I didn’t hurt her as much as I hurt Princess over there.” He jerked his thumb toward Nya before going and standing up against the wall. Sky narrowed his eyes at Colt, watching at his gingerly touched his ribs.

“Alright then,” Sky said. “Winner is Colt.”

Zeph had resigned herself to watching the competition, match after match she learned from her peers and also picked up on what was expected from herself from Sky's reactions to injury and techniques displayed. Her rage had finally burned away if only a little, but the gods decided it would be better to pour gas onto the dying embers to ensure the blaze burned any who dare stand to close. Like Logan.

"Darlin?"

Zeph smirked. Though the air around her reeked of her blood lust.

"Who cares about a challenge? You raise a good question. Who cares about a challenge?" Walking in circles she sized up the boy. His phrasing suggested to her that he was from the lower more physically active sects. "Who cares...."

She raised her hand instructed him to wait while the other moved to her right temple. Clearly the idiocy of his question was a mental challenge. How could she best express the importance of first encounters, the psychological importance of knowing those you fight with are not just dead weight. How to express that his tardiness and inability to understand the situation was an embarrassment to her and all those present.

"I hate you."

With those words she resumed her observation of the matches. At the least she had picked out those that could at least meet the physical requirements of this program...

"I take a slight solace in knowing that with the ignorance you have displayed today that you will likely shoot yourself cleaning your rifle. Get your head out of your ass and notice where you are. Do you think that the rules do not apply to you?! I was reprimanded for your absence. I was made a fool because of your incompetence!"

She stepped up and seductively traced his chin, in complete contrast of her heated tone.

"Who cares?"

Her hand shifted into a quick fist popping him on the nose, If caught unawares it would have likely bloody his nose..

"Those who respected each other as fellows showed up on time, you arrogant little brat."

She than spat in his face as she returned to her place waiting on the next set of instructions.

Alda glanced around, having lost some interest in the fighting. For the most part it was the same thing over and over again, and she very dearly wanted to move on, as the most useful information she was gaining, in her opinion, was that Colt was likely a very disturbed, ill, and perhaps sociopathic individual. As for Zeph, she was different. Violent and easily set off, absolutely, but the sense Alda got from her was something more, something that lurked under the surface and wanted to cause harm. Of course, the irritatingly-entitled attitude could be expected of anyone from Principle but something set this girl apart that made Alda very nervous. She watched as the older girl chewed out her partner and then threw a punch at him; her body language had sent mixed signals while her tone practically crackled with rage.

Not wanting to be seen keenly observing the event, she glanced at Derric. "I'm going to pop Nya's shoulder in," she announced in a soft voice before getting up and striding, ignoring the fiery ache that blossomed in her lower leg, over to the girl. Don't kill me, don't kill me, don't kill me. It was with caution that Alda approached the pretty (despite her injuries) Focal girl, as this place seemed to be hiding a good number of serial killer-types. She didn't look like a crazy but then, neither had Colt; better to be careful.

"Alright if I touch you?" she asked. "I don't think I need to add a warning that it will hurt, but just in case: it will hurt."

A new girl she hadn’t yet spoken to approached Nya. Her name was….Alda, if Nya remembered correctly. She asked about helping her with her shoulder. Nya was skeptical. She didn’t know how much prior training this girl had and wasn’t going to risk worsening her injury just to save face. She attempted a smile before she answered, “No, that’s ok. I’d be more comfortable if a nurse looked at it. Thanks anyway.” She turned back to Sky, waiting for his acknowledgement of her issue. Sky didn’t seem entirely interested in what Nya was asking. He looked down at her then moved on to the rest of the group. She wasn’t used to being so blatantly ignored. Well, if you’re not going to handle this, I’ll just have to do it myself, she thought. She turned to Seril who seemed amused after the last fight. “Hey, I’m gonna go head down the the infirmary. I think I should probably make sure it’s really just dislocated.”

Seril threw a towel on the kid who had just got his ass handed to him, and heard Nya say she was going to the Infirmary, he caught up to her wondering if it was really that bad. “You want me to go with you?” He asked as she went to leave. He checked in on the copy in his room and saw it flipping through the textbook out of boredom. He cursed in his head.

Nya looked around the room before answering. She knew that her peers were losing her respect. She had lost a fight she should have won. It was due to cheating but it was a loss nonetheless. The last thing she needed was a babysitter accompanying her to get herself checked out. Even if that babysitter was the closest thing she had to a friend, she needed to show everyone that she wasn’t easy to put down. She looked back to Seril, “no, don’t worry about it. I saw where it was on the way here. I’m sure I’ll only be gone a few minutes. Besides, you seem to be enjoying this anyway.” She smiled slightly and headed out of the room. The air out in the hallway was lighter; fresher. It gave her a few seconds to go over what she had learned in class. Apparently not everyone was willing to play by the rules. She should have known this going in but still managed to underestimate some of them. She turned the corner and continued down the hall. If she was going to have any hope of forming strong bonds with the rest of the group, she was going to have to try harder. She was going to have to put more of herself out there. She sighed. She wasn’t very social and didn’t always enjoy small talk. I guess you’ll just have to put up with it for a while. She walked into the nurse’s room and sat on a folding chair against the wall. “Hello?” she called out.

************************************

Nya walked out of the infirmary. Her shoulder was still sore but it was no longer dislocated. The nurse seemed as cold as Sky was. Maybe they all came that way. She headed back down the hallway, unsure of whether she should go back to the tournament or just head right to her dorm. She quickly decided the dorm room was probably her best bet. She wanted to clear her thoughts and being alone was the surest way for her to do that. While she walked, she noticed pictures of past graduates along the hallways. She found Codeeva’s year and was instantly drawn to his smiling face. It stood out among the other stern photos. Seeing him smile made her smile. She continued down the hall and eventually made her way into her room. She noticed the adjoining door between her room and Seril’s room was still open slightly. Maybe a peek won’t hurt. I mean, it’s his fault for being so she paused, mysterious? It wasn’t the right word but it was all she could call him for now. As she walked up to the door, she ran right into Seril. “Ow! What the hell?” He had been standing there the entire time. “I thought you were going to stay and watch the rest of the tournament? Why are you here?” She rubbed her head where she had hit him.

Seril’s copy laughed and the real Seril cursed leaving the match feigning a headache. He tried to take control of the damned thing but this one wasn’t gonna let him in its head. “I figured I was beaten by that runt I might as well come up here and brush up on my technique.” His copy said looking down at the book in his hand. “This stupid shit is redundant though, they act like no one has ever thrown a punch in their lives.” Seril was still 4 floors away from his copy and he wouldn’t have control over it until he was at least on the same floor as it. Seril listened into his copies conversation and began to run. This was the bitchiest version of him he knew about, and it had taken upon itself to even name itself Jeffery. Jeffery was straight backed and uptight all the time, but there was no way of changing how these ones acted yet so Seril figured he just had to run faster before this thing made a fool of him. “So did the Infirmary say you have glass bones just like the rest of the Focal bitch’s” His copy said as he smacked himself in the face, leading to both of them smacking themselves in the face. Sometimes Seril hated himself.

Nya was stunned. Why is he talking to me like this?. Seril was the only version of a friend she had here and apparently the friendship was only on her end. Once his comment sank in, Nya was pissed. “Listen, jerkoff. I don’t know what kind of menstrual cycle you’re on here, but keep it up and I’ll kick your ass so hard, your great grandkids will regret you running your mouth off. Count yourself lucky that right now I care more about graduating than I do about shutting you up.” She slammed the door in his face and turned, kicking the chair next to her. She made her way over to her bed and sat on the edge . Her head was pounding and she was exhausted. Guard training seemed to get more and more depressing the longer she stayed.

Chess watched the latest developments with a bit of amusement that he quickly dismissed, he watched Colt's latest fight smirking a bit when he smashed the girls colar bone. Classic he thought to himself as he pushed the doors open and headed back to his room not to concerned with who won. He saw Seril walking steadily in front of him when he heard a curse and the boy darted off. Well that was weird... Chess took off after Seril, making sure to keep his distance, but when they finally got to there hallway Seril just took a deep steady breath and walked in his room.

Seril opened his door and shut it behind him as quickly as he could. He looked at his copy like hot pokers would have been the best solution for this damned mess. Just as it began to open its mouth, no doubt to utter a rude greeting, Serils hand shot up and the copy burst into dust and fell to the floor being sucked to his feet and into his boots. That doesn't normally happen. He thought to himself, but when was anything normal anymore? He walked over to his bed and slammed down face first.

Dyana Vs Mason!

Dyana watched Colt beat their Luminosity sister and snap at Sky, before going up against the wall. Turning on her heels she winked at Colt before walking onto the mat and looking across at her opponent. She looked at how confident he was and she sighed "he's strong, from what you've seen, he's like a tank, and whats the best way to beat a tank? Take out it's sensors..." she watched him smile smugly and she felt her anger well up again.

She held a stance and he stood still, then she rushed him, like the others. He stood there, waiting for her to attack before he made a move. Dyana went to punch Mason in the face, to which he easily side stepped and pushed her to the ground. She fell and rolled away just as he sent a stomp towards where her chest was. Kicking her self up, she jumped on his back and went to choke him, only to get her hands ripped away and being thrown over Mason's shoulder into the ground. She felt the wind get knocked out of her and felt something crack, but quickly rolled upwards, putting her legs on Mason's neck and pulling with all her might to get him to the ground. With success and surprise, Mason slammed into the ground.

On the ground, Dyana put his arm in an arm bar and she began almost instantly to break it. Mason punched her thigh sent a wave of pain down her leg but she refused to let go. Mason in a sudden burst of strength brought his up and then hard down, making her slip and let go, both in pain and from the force of the slam "Holy fuck, what is this guy??" she gasped in pain, only to see him get up and walk towards her and pick her up by the neck. She looked at Sky and mouthed "DONT...END...IT" she looked back at Mason as she began to see black dots and she brought her hands back as far as she could.

Mason looked at her "It's not gunna wo-" Dyana slammed her hands against his ears with all her might, doing two things. One, getting him to drop her and she fell to the floor gasping for air, and two, bursting his eardrums and causing him to grit his teeth in pain. Holding his hands up to his ears, he failed to notice that Dyana had gotten up and was quickly approaching him. She slide into his ankles, making him fall and then she got on his back, taking his arm and twisting to where it almost broke, then with small pressure she broke it, making him scream. She got off of him and bowed "I will not continue to fight, his arm is broken and that is enough for me" she bowed towards Sky and then to Mason, before walking off the mat and limping towards the wall next to Colt.

Collab Between Dyana and Colt

Dyana Vs. Colt

Dyana limped back onto the mat, sighing to herself and swearing in her head "of all the damn people to fight in the finals, it had to be this guy, im seriously begining to think this school is setting me up, the room and now this..." she stood and waited for Colt to stand in front of her before looking at Sky and back to him, refusing to meet his eyes.

Colt looked up as Dyana won her fight and took a deep breath. This is fucking ridiculous! How was he supposed to fight her?! He nearly kissed her the other night and now he was supposed to get her on the ground and knocked out or hurt extremely bad? How was he supposed to do that? He walked out onto the mat and looked over at Sky, who didn't even look at him.

"Alright, our final fight is between Dyana and Colt. The person who wins this will have twenty points on their scoreboard and also win this-" Sky pulled out a sniper rifle from behind his back. Colt stared at its beauty. That was no ordinary sniper rifle. It was one of the newer pitches, one that Colt hadn't even heard of before. He was more of a knife and sword guy himself, but he couldn't disagree that that gun was GORGEOUS.

He stepped out onto the mat and turned to face Dyana. Her face flashed across his mind again and he cringed, looking away from Dyana for a moment. He then turned back to face her as Sky begin to count down. When Sky reached zero, Colt froze, not even moving. He wanted to see what she would do first before anything.

Dyana saw Sky pull out a gun and her body instantly began scanning the gun, inspecting and reading every part of it until it came into her mind like a computer scanning program "Holy shit...this is something that hasn't even been given out yet to the real guards...." she looked back to Colt and snapped out of it as soon as Sky said zero. She watched him not move and she was trying to figure out what to do...to fight him or to just forfeit but she didn't want conflict with Sky.

She started to circle and she mouthed to Colt "Fight, or this will turn out worse then it needs to be.." she tried to smile but the pain in her leg and lower back only went for a pained half of one. She started off towards him, trying to get him moving and she went to punch him in the chest, slower then normal but not so much that anyone would notice.

She shouldn't have done that. Moving faster than most people have seen, Colt dodged under her and slipped back around her, stepping away. His instincts now stepped in for his true feelings and he grabbed her arm, twisting it back up and around her shoulder. He threw her to the ground and kicked her away, jogging backwards away from her.

What was he doing? He couldn't fight this girl. He gripped his side as a sharp pain suddenly when through his broken rib and he grimaced, looking at Dyana. He would need the infirmary soon, but not until this was done. He needed to finish what he started. He stayed back away from Dyana, watching her closely to see her next move.

Dyana pushed herself up and looked at him "Do not go easy on me, win this so that it can be done, or I will" her eyes pleaded for him to just finish it so that she could lose and take her feelings else where. She pushed up and started to circle him, she would not appear weak to the others. Starting up again, this time she ran at him, she went to send a punch, then switched instead, sending a kick on his left, her right.

Colt's mind froze as her foot swung toward his broken rib, but his instincts reacted for him. He grabbed her foot and twisted it, pushing her away from him as he did so. He jumped back as she fell to the ground, but he took her words to heart, as painful as they were. He stomped on her stomach and grabbed her arm, yanking her back to her feet. He punched her straight in the jaw and shoved her against the wall. (Citrine, of whom he shoved Dyana at, jumped out of the way). He then placed both hands on either side of her head and leaned it close, hoping that she could hear him through her dazed air. "Dyana, don't do this. I'm sorry. It's not you. It's just how I am," he whispered softly, gently stroking her cheek before shoving off the wall and stalking away, glaring at her as he began to pace on the mat.

Dyana felt her ribs crack and she damn near went into tears, to which he pulled her back up and punched her in the face making her black out momentarily, before regaining conciousness just enough to hear him talking to her. He pushed off the wall and she held her side "Then so be it..." she limped back over to him and held a fighting stance "I'm not stopping until one of us quits and im not going to, so you better put me out my damn misery..." she held her self together as best she could but her voice cracked and she damn near almost lost it.

Colt shook his head, running both of his hands through his hair. This damn girl was so stubborn. He had no choice. He walked closer to her and kicked her directly in the chest before grabbing her arm and throwing her down to the ground again. He slammed her against the ground and placed a hand on her throat, his fist raised above his head. He stared down at her, their eyes meeting. His arm trembled and he made a split decision. Making his face unemotional, he stood up and backed off.

"I won't knock out an unarmed girl," Colt said, looking over at Sky. "I haven't done yet today. I concede to her."

Sky cocked an eyebrow, crossing his arms across his chest. He shook his head and stated very explicitly, "I'm disappointed Winger. Winner of the bracket: Dyana Dolaro." Colt dipped his head to Sky and walked off, walking out the door without looking back.

Dyana couldn't hear anything and out of the blackning view, she saw Colt say something to Sky before walking off. She turned her head slowly and saw the bracket moving and it said she was the winner. Getting up in pain she turned and looked to Sky "I will retrieve my weapon once im out of the infimiry, thank you sir" she bowed and she bit her lip keeping in her pain. Limping off the mat, she went towards the doors and barely made it through them. Once getting out, she leaned up against the wall and barely made her way to the infirmiry before bursting in painful tears.

TIME JUMP PAST DINNER

IMPORTANTThis is a time jump passsed dinner, as in, you have until curfew to go to bed. Have as many character interactions as you want and such. The pool is open, as are the training rooms. You can talk about the other classes throughout the day which you time jumped through as well. This is mostly an interaction thing and get people back in here. I will be posting the next "life changing event" once almost everyone has posted after this.

Colt

Colt just stared up at his ceiling, unmoving. His muscular arms were tucked back behind his head on his pillow. They had about three hours until curfew and three and a half until lights out and he had nothing to do. At least, nothing that he wanted to do... He didn't want to see Dyana face to face, especially after today. He went to the infirmary instead of going to dinner today and got bandaged up. He knew that Dyana wouldn't be there during dinner. He then just completely skipped dinner and headed up to his room. He ate a few of the snacks he had and then had just been lying in his bed, doing nothing, for the past two hours.

He had managed to avoid Dyana throughout the day. In each of the other classes, he had sat as far away from her as possible and had not spoken to her at all. He then avoided her through lunch and dinner and was staying as far away from that damn door that connected them as much as he could. But there was one slight problem.

He was starting to get bored.

He looked over toward his suitcase and saw a pair of bright red and black swimming trunks sticking out from underneath the lid. Swimming would be the perfect relaxer right now. He rolled out of his bed and went over to his trunks and slipped into them. Well, he didn't have anything to lose anymore.

Citrine

The rest of the day kind of flew by in a flash. She didn't really remember most of it, she just thought most of it was awesome. She learned so much more in one day here than she did at any day back in Luminosity. She was now running on the treadmill down in one of the training rooms, trying to work off the carbs she had just absorbed with that last dinner. She was listening to music and not really paying much attention to anyone at the moment. She could probably get murdered and still not notice.
