The doors slammed shut on the police car as once more the mischievous Sapphire was caught stealing jewels from Coast City bank. The brown haired vixen wasn't sure who tipped the police off this time but her hands were up as soon as she saw the dozens of squad cars lined back to back, guns all aiming at her. It was a drag, all that adrenaline pumping for it to be displaced with sinking failure. She sighed in remembrance.

Back down to earth and with a quick smirk and flash of her hazel eyes, she tried to use her powers to aid in her escape. Unfortunately this attempt was in vain. The guard watching her laughed. "That there neck-brace has a promethium core. Unbreakable and it absorbs your powers. Isn't technology a hoot?" The grip on his gun tightened as she clenched her fists. "Ready to join my girls at the Coast City Super Powered Prison?" There was no denying it now, she was probably screwed...

Waking up the next morning in her plain gray jail cell, Sapphire was startled as a male guard yelled out, Wake up! Time for breakfast girls!" Again that low nasty chuckle, as if he had some sort of inside joke the rest of them weren't in on. It really pissed her off and as she tried to stretch out her hands, she realized the dark truth for the second time. She was powerless. Pitiful and powerless. She grimaced as she looked down at her orange jumpsuit. Terrible and just plain tacky. Sauntering, Sapphire exited the iron bars and joined the lines for food. It literally looked like muck thrown on a tray.

"Is this the type of crap you serve?"She muttered under her breath. "What did you say?"came from one of her prison mates in charge of the kitchen. She was big, burly and mannish. "Oh nothing at all, darling. Just admiring the color..."Her tone dropped drastically.

"You want a piece of me?" Yelled man-girl, taking off her hairnet and hopping across the counter. Sapphire knew she stood no chance against that towering mass without her powers... but that mouth of hers was something else.

"Bring it on, Agatha. You seem like an Agatha. Manly name for such an ugly woman." She chuckled and ducked as the lady took a swing. The prison guards did nothing to help and in fact seemed to look right through them, much to Sapphire's disdain. She ducked from the first few clumsy punches thrown. Finally one connected with her stomach after she was cornered. She fell on her knees, coughing and gasping for air as she looked up and saw the lummox smiling, fist slowly raising.

Sapphire closed her eyes, wincing. Things had gone from terrible to worse.

April sat cross-legged in the entertainment room of the Coast City Super Powered Prison, playing with colorful building blocks on the light blue carpet covered floor as other inmates did other things to keep themselves as busy as possible in this place, which was quite hard to do — but not for her. April could be considered a regular customer in the entertainment room. The room's name didn't really fit, it looked like Coast City's toted Super Powered Prison had taken a page out of Arkham Asylum's book because the room's atmosphere and features would only elate someone who hadn't yet reached the age of six, or in April's case, had a mental capacity comparable to that of a toddler's. But the crazy chick loved it more than anyone could ever love a room in a correctional imprisonment facility. She tilted her head to the side as she carefully added on another block, bringing the grand total of blocks used in this skyscraper-in-the-making to seven.

“How ya doing, freak?” Said an accented, sharp, and dark voice from behind. April responded only by swinging her hand in the air, pointing her index finger upwards in a signal meaning "One moment". She couldn't be distracted when she was in the process of building a masterpiece. She continued to ignore the vengeful woman, placing another block onto the stack of seven that were already up. Not interested in talking to others at the moment, wanting to be left to her blocks and her thoughts.

“They couldn’t fix my eye so they decided to remove it entirely,” the voice added, and that's what it took to get April interested. She turned around and flashed her iconic, creepy smile to the person who turned out to be Milana, an assassin she hadn't seen since her blunder of an attempt at breaking out.

About three days back, April had tried using the trained killer as a very dangerous distraction to the guards so she herself could escape — the crazy girl had given the plan little reasonable thought so it failed miserably. In short, she ended up slashing one of Milana's eyes out with a fork. But seeing her now had answered the question she had been wondering a bit for a while now, if she had actually killed the femme fatale or not.

Milana lifted the eyepatch that covered her left eye to reveal the dark abyss of the hole where her eye used to be. As she did so, April's grin got larger, thinking of the delicious pain that the permanent wound almost certainly caused her.

"That. Is. Adorable." She broke out into genuine laughter.

An angry and revenge-determined Milana bellowed a powerful roar and lunged for April, grabbing her by the neck with both of her powerful hands, squeezing tightly to choke her. April bashed her fists against the back of her assailant's head, kicking furiously into her abdomen in an attempt to break her death grip on her. Luckily, Milana was shocked by the electric collar around her own neck that sent a charge through her body, making her lose her grip. Thankfully the prison had decided to add an electric function to Milana's collar in hindsight of the aforementioned incident that happened a few days back, otherwise April might be dead. A dazed April fell to the ground after the beast released her, landing onto the building blocks, spraying them across the floor. "No!"

Guards rushed at April's attacker, and began beating her with batons, until she was weak enough to be dragged off, back to her cell. She found the guards' intervention surprising, usually they wouldn't care if she got thrashed around. Maybe they didn't want to deal with her death which was almost guaranteed if that assassin got those dangerous hands on her.

April paid no attention to the trained killer as she was dragged off, she was preoccupied with the sadness that stuck her in the heart. Her beautiful creation had been ruined, and needed to be restarted. She let out a sigh then took a block and began building again at a slow, peaceful pace. As she began to reconstruct her masterpiece she glanced out large glass windows at the left end of the room. The cafeteria was on the other side. Some girl seemed to be in a similar predicament to the one she was just in, the bully was about to beat down on her victim. "Meh," she shrugged to herself, there was definitely no point and no reward in trying to save a random woman... "But, there is a point in watching somebody get their ass kicked," she finished the thought aloud. She giggled and left her block tower incomplete as she dashed to the scene of an impending beat-down.

Ginny White tucked her blonde hair behind her ear. It has escaped the ponytail she had trapped it in and was too lazy to re-do her hair. After all, who did she have to look pretty for? Her fellow criminals? Ginny accepted her food without any protest. After a year in jail, she had learned how to maneuver. And that didn't include pissing off the "Lunch Lady". Not the the fresh meat.

Ginny ignored the confrontation to gain her usual spot. The two women already there flanked her sides. Ginny didn't fight. Instead she traded favors for protection. Inside this prison her powers were useless. But not all of her skills came from her powers. She knew how to move through society without the help of her psychometry. And prison society wasn't all that different.

Broker still ran her organization with a tight fist. Buying and selling information was her lifeblood. Nothing, not even trumped up charges could change that. Even the stupid collar around her neck wouldn't keep her down. Ginny and her guards at quickly. If the guards had to step in, everyone was getting carted back to their cells, even if they hadn't eaten. And the next meal wouldn't be until lunch.

Ginny watched the guards circle and prep, just in case. She nodded to the woman to her left, "Mayfly". The woman casually took the paper plate and folded it. The fresh meat was on the ground now. In a few seconds she'd be in the infirmary. Not that Ginny cared, but it would end the fun all too soon. "Mayfly" flicked her wrist and the folded paper ball soared across the room and hit "Lunch Lady" on the side of her head. "Mayfly" stared at the result just like everyone else. There was nothing to trace the ball back to them.

Ginny shoveled the rest of her food into her mouth and waited for the result for glorious chaos.

To the Coast City Prison for Super Powers Jan appeared to be Rene Seaward a French Canadian Cat Burglar with the talent of teleportation. They'd brought her here and placed one of their collars made with promethium around her throat which was meant to keep her from porting out to freedom but preventing her from using her powers. If Scandal had been in any other form it would have returned her to one of her locked appearances but Rene was one such form and till it came off her permanent shape.

It was a lark for Scandal to walk among the guards and other prisoners making plans of how to rid herself of the collar so that she could collect their DNA. Normal DNA was useful but the DNA of supers affected her differently and Scandal hoped that if she collected enough that one day she'd be able to mimic even their powers. When the day came that she could unlock that genetic puzzle she would be invincible and at last safe.

It was while in thought that she heard the other prisoners chanting fight and walked towards the crowd. She could care less about the action going on but for the chance to get a better understanding of her sister's basic abilities she was thrilled.

Scandal was careful to remain in the background not wishing at this moment to involve herself in any encounter outside of the necessary and normal with the guards or other prisoners. It wasn't that she was weak or shy but careful because exposure meant she could be retaken by the commission which judging from past experience would mean death of personality. The commission had done it to her before and would no doubt do it again to regain her as an asset.

The last things Imogen remembers were glaring lights and blasting sounds that would make the trumpet of God seem like one of those cheap plastic kazoos you got from party favors at birthday parties when you were young. At the height of these sensory assaults, she was knocked unconscious and immediately rushed to the Coast City Superpowered Prison, where a special holding cell was ready for her.

The radioactive collars they fitted on most other of the prison’s inmates would not work on her. Besides her intelligence, her abilities were direct extensions of a synthetic physiology, and neither could be suppressed without disabling her body down to the cellular level, to each individual nanoparticle.

Instead, a chamber was prepared that would hold her in a form of stasis. She might be able to think and remain aware of her surroundings, but not act, essentially frozen in place. At least she’d have enough time to think about why exactly they would keep her alive and in one piece instead of just destroying her and being done with it. They had no problem destroying the rest of her race in a heartbeat.

Imogen had woken up partially by the time she’d arrived at the prison, but her mind still reeled from the earlier sensory overload. Several heavily armed guards took her past the cafeteria where a fight had started between two inmates, and tossed her in the stasis cell: a large, cylindrical capsule containing a metal structure with restraints at her feet, hands, and neck. She was locked into these and the cell was closed. She blinked a couple times as she began to realize where she was, before a guard flipped a switch and activated the cell.

From here on out, there would be no getting out of here unless someone let her out.

The punch she faced sent her reeling back across the floor. She stopped for a second to cough up a little blood. A direct connect to her stomach...She wasn't really hungry now was she? The woman deemed Agatha was quite pleased with herself, chuckling as more girls crowded around them. This was there version of entertainment? If Sapphire had her powers right now she'd go berserk on all of them.

She picked herself up with a grunt, as the lummox barreled after her. Pushing past one of the girls staring, she made sure to keep the girl in line of sight. Flipping tables as she ran towards her prey, the gigantic woman was full of fury Sapphire had never seen before. Slipping behind on of the guards, in effort to make sure he wasn't injured, he clicked a button attached to his belt. All the girls in the vicinity were shocked, although Sapphire and the beast took the brunt being so near.

"Break it up or next time i'll keep that button pressed"The guard smirked and walked off blocking the doors. The both of them groaned but Sapphire picked herself up again, more readily used to taking beatings than her opponent it seemed. She took pride in getting back up though and forced her body to allow her to saunter without limping. Wiping the blood from the side of her mouth, she went back over to her tray of food, spilled it on the floor and then sat at a table with a menacing expression. She had to figure out how to get out of this hell, sure but first she had to assert some sort of dominance among the thieves.

April lay flat on the floor, recovering from the pain of the electric shock on her collar. She didn't try to get up, she just moved her arms and legs in a back-and-forth motion that would've made a snow angel had she been on a pile of snow. She slowly inclined her head to see the bully's victim walk away with... pride. What? she thought. Such a disappointing fight. No one was maimed. Wish... Someone was dead. she blinked several times in remorse of the time she wasted attending the "fight" before dropping her head a little too quickly back to the cold hard floor.

"Ow," she muttered. She rolled her eyes to the left side of her sockets and her head made the same movement so she was facing a unique cell. It was a status cell, complete with metal structure and something about it was giving her alien vibes. She started crawling towards the cell with curiosity.

The same armed-to-the-teeth guards noticed as another inmate had found the stasis cell room, and now wandered closer and closer to Imogen herself. Unbeknownst to them, she had noticed her as well, and watched through the one-way glass as the woman approached her cell. Maybe this one would free her...wait, nevermind. In only a few moments one of the guards slammed a fist into her gut before dragging her out of the room, shouting "This room is off-limits! No unauthorized personnel!". Pity. In her current situation, her only chance at freedom rested in the hands of the other inmates, if not a sympathetic guard or technician that operated her cell.

In her own mind, Imogen seethed. She had been gotten the best of; they had beaten her, and now she was at the complete mercy of criminals. The vexing cell she was trapped in deprived her of many movement, and her muscles desperately needed to stretch. She swore, if anyone managed to free her, she would owe them, after she repaid her captors for incarcerating her. She might even take the time to find the guard that hurt the inmate that found her cell.

Rene/Jan was angered by the punishing blast of Electricity as it reminded her of her time in the hands of those bastards that created her. They too had used such torture methods and she'd destroyed them for doing the same to her. She decided that no longer would she view this place as a safe haven from those that sought her, she would escape and out of all those here she stood the best chance because of her unique physiology.

Rene/Jan was a shape shifter which meant that she wasn't human or like normal terrestrial life forms when it came to her internal structure. What appeared to be bones and internal organs were no different than the hair on her head, just cells that had been commanded to create a facade of normality. Because of her strange make-up she could suffer injuries that would have killed a human or any other mammal and that was how she'd make her escape.

She needed someone here who had a strong constitution and worst of all; someone Rene/Jan could trust. It would be incredibly painful and risky because she was unsure how this dam collar might affect her healing ability after removal; Rene/Jan was going to have her head cut off then immediately rejoined.

So with a desperate plan in mind she began an appraisal of the women around her searching for one that she could trust

Sarina - Wildfire.

Sarina had been in the super powered prison for almost a year or maybe just over, being in a place like this one can lose track of time if not careful, She often remembers the day she first woke up here in a cell after she assumed of being taken out after her escape from the burning warehouse, In fact she was not sure how it happened but she will in time find out who it was and flay them alive. The redhead was able to set a pretty strong reputation within the prison even without her powers thanks to the Promethium core neck brace that neutralized her said powers, Sarina did not consider herself top of the food chain here but many knew to keep a distance, especially when in a bad mood, giving an air of authority or respect given by others. Her reputation also extends to the guards who often like to boast about her inability of powers and the neck braces that seem to give them a sense of power over the woman here, but it did not stop her from kicking an ass or two from time to time often ended up with her eventually getting subdued and incarcerated.

Sarina had spent some extra time in the gym this particular morning instead of going straight to the cafeteria for the first part of the daily slop they serve, She was being watched by two guards one of which was new and the other probably here before even she arrived. "She has beautiful eyes, But didn't her report say she has red eyes?" He asked, Of course Sarina knew they were looking at her and talking about her, she was simply giving them a seductive look with a slight smile. " It does but that wondrous piece of technology neutralizes her power and her eyes reverted back to their natural Hazel colour, Don't her her looks fool you." The more experienced guard laughed. "Don't worry you have nothing to worry about from this one unless you see her eyes red, and don't get into hand to hand with her and you'll be fine" He then added, It was true though as Sarina's eyes did revert back to there natural colour while the neck brace was on and active, otherwise her eyes would be a crimson red colour. " What happens if I did?" He asked. "We would not be having this conversation kid" The man answered as he went of to keep an eye on the other inmates.

Sarina rested up for a few moments as she rolled her eyes as there appeared to be a commotion coming from the cafeteria, No doubt someone didn't like the sloppy crap that gets served here as of course attracted quiet the crowd and from this new to wait for the guards intervention before she would go and get something to eat. Upon arrival the door was blocked by a guard standing in the way and upon inspection through a window saw inamtes mostly sprawled across the floor and recovering she could see there was a newcomer wiping blood from her mouth and could see the rather larger inamte normally in charge of serving food in the kitchen no doubt those where the two reponsible for getting everyone in the area shocked and not very popular. Before she even shove the guard out of the way another inamte was getting carted of by some others, it was going to be on of those days and nothing was more worse than having a fiery redhead into the mix.

Speaking of which, Wildfire was now standing behind this guard blocking the doorway into the cafeteria, he was overwatching the inmate gather themselves, his back turned towards her, his first big mistake, the second being using that dam button on his belt to shock people, if she was hit with that and eventually gathered herself she would so batter some one. sighing as they guy was to oblivious of her waiting on him she raised her left boot and shoves him through the doorway to let her in to his surprise but he quickly gathers himself and instinctively goes for her before realizing who it is. Guards know never to provoke Sarina alone, As quick as he went for her she used his momentum to sidestep and slam him up against the window, his momentum cracking the glass slightly as one of her arms was over his throat. "Lunge at me like that again, or press that dam button and I will break your dam fingers and put you through this window before your friends can get me" She said into his ear her face close to his.

More guards came in as one called out to her, there must of been four or five extras now. "Wildfire!" He yelled at her. "Release him now or we'll all press these buttons and shock every single one of you once more including yourself.. And earn yourself another beating" He demanded. Sarina thought for a moment and knew that it would be best for now to simply comply and get her own back on them when a opportunity arises. "Your so lucky I got one these around my neck." she said once more to the man she was holding before releasing him not so gently, the guy smiled and chuckled at her before adjusting his uniform. "I suggest you watch yourself." Stepping back Sarina moved away at a distance and let them go with a few of them keeping a close eye, Grabbing a tray of this crap they called food she went and sat at a vacant table.
