IT is just the road is boring so we wanted to move onto a town where we could do stuff and chat about it while doing stuff.

Less sense? I honestly sound it stranger that everyone was suddenly talking about it to everyone instead of thinking of the weight of the situation on a personal level.

Well chatting about keeping Noh a secret or not inside of Ru makes less sense than talking about it in the moment. People can overhear you which invalidates the entire discussion, a team should have their gameplan ready before they hit the field (Ru). Everything that happens is in response to our actions. We wouldn't even be in this situation if we went towards Uta or the bandit path, which is why the team discussing routes, strategies and decisions is important.

Metou only knows of the Ki Witch through word of mouth, which she doesn't consider a reliable source of information. Metou admits that the witch has powerful magic, but doesn't believe she's actually hundreds of years old or can grant wishes. Metou's distrust of magic as a result of being raised in the Dokutsu clan is a part of that disbelief.
