Appearance:The Bat-Man is a staple of Gothamite culture. When he first appeared, he'd been in a black and grey suit of thin cloth with a mask covering all but his eyes and mouth, with tall pointed ears erected atop the opposing edges of his skull. When too much gunfire neared his critical areas, he added a target to his chest. Bright yellow, it gave criminals something to aim for--the best protected spot on his body.
Years later, around the time of the Apokiliptan invasion, he'd developed his outfit into a fully blown battle suit with a features catering to the marriage of freedom and security, agility and protection. His target was no longer necessary, therefore it was removed. He'd gotten to the point where enough people knew where to shoot. A shining black bat silhouette rests on his chest now.
His future costume will be fresh, with a brown cloth over his cape and cowl, masking the entirety of his face. A beige tone was selected to coat his torso and appendages, while the previous darker brown matches his boots, gloves, and utility belt. The eyes are more intimidating than before, a selectively glowing red lense covers his pupils. The result is that he truly looks like a giant brown bat. In many ways, it is intended to look like
this.
Abilities/Skills:PowerAvatar: Camazotz, an ancient figure of doom, represented by a bat, has selected Bruce as his champion. When in harmony with the entity's will, he is at his human limits. Faster, stronger, smarter, more observant, and more powerful in general. The limits he reaches are not those he can reach on his own, but the highest his body can achieve without lasting damage.
SkillsArmed Combat: He is trained and has demonstrated expertise with many varieties of blades, particularly swords. In their place, he tends to use batons and escrima sticks. When opportunity presents itself, he can improvise a staff or most other close range utilities.
Engineering: Bruce has years of experience in crafting/customizing his own machines and tools. Given a while, he can find an alternative use for any machinery he has available and likely repurpose it into a more useful state, often upgrading common technology for his personal use.
Hand to Hand: Bruce has a track record for picking up martial arts and fighting styles, particularly when they are used against himself. Though he is versed in countless forms by now, his preference actually leans towards the mixed martial arts of Russian combatants, catching many off guard with the style, though he is always able to fine-tune his movements to any opponents he faces.
Physical Conditioning: The term peak human physical condition is often used, but it's rather vague as it implies you do everything with superiority, which is not possible. But the Bat-Man of Earth-2 is fast, agile, and as strong as someone with a lean, acrobatic build can get.
Projectiles: He can throw shurikens, darts, and even use bows, but he prefers a mixture of sharp-edged bat-shaped boomerangs and bat-shaped shurikens, both of which are called Batarangs. He has many varieties of these, some include microphones, explosives, speakers, lights, cameras, or sedatives.
Sciences: He is diligent in his research with knowledge in advanced physics, chemistry, biology, geology, robotics, mathematics, and forensics.
Stealth: He has learned over time to use the element of surprise to great effect, or to go completely undetected for greater effect.
Theatrics: Masquerading as a monstrous Bat-Man, he's put on a show for years, both in his vigilante activities and an exaggerated lifestyle as a playboy billionaire.
ToolsBatsuit: His suits are varied in appearance as well as function. Most have at least some degree of protection and his signature silhouette. A majority have the ability to glide, while some are designed for volcanic activity, underground exploration, arctic ventures, or other niches.
Vehicles: Foremost is the Batmobile, several variations and models have seen use, the present is a high-speed short sports car somewhat resembling KITT from Knight Rider. Following suit are his airplane, The Batwing, The Batsub, and The Batcycle.
Weaponry: He carries Batarangs, both the boomerang and shuriken varieties, dart guns, Batons, and a Batclaw useful in combat as well as maneuverability.

Villains OverhauledThe Joker: Alfred Stryker was the first mastermind that The Batman had ever faced. By hiring assassins for the heads of a chemical syndicate he created, he set himself in the sights of a fake assassination to clear himself of any suspicion. Capitalizing on the opportunity, he stole the company's flagship product, a steroid that had never been tested on humans. Results had been immediate and impressive on lab rats, making them stronger, faster, smarter, and more intelligent. When cornered by The Batman, he used it on himself to give himself a fighting chance. The experience was traumatic, worsened by the outcome. In an attempt to escape, he'd sloppily fallen into a vat of chemicals believed to cause fatal neurological damage. Since, he's emerged as a cunning, vicious, treacherous serial-killer who's guised himself as a clown, or as he puts it--The Joker!
Two-Face: Harvey Kent was a district attorney who fought in the courtrooms of Gotham against insurmountable odds. Despite their opposing modes of operation, Harvey admired the Bat-Man, and Bruce returned the sentiment. But a chemical accident forever scarred half of Harvey's face, leaving him disfigured and causing a mental break. The trauma was reconciled by the fact that facets of the original personality remained, a testament to his strength of character, buy something else was born too. Two-Face, a coin-flipping criminal obsessed with equality began to commit crimes believing that chance and luck was the only true justice.
Golden Age villains for later use Mission Statement:The concept I'm using is tricky. While I'm not elevating Batman to the status of a demigod, I am acknowledging that the Bat's spectacular feats cannot be pulled off by a mere man. I intend to develop a new kind of Batman, based on a course I believe his original could've taken. This isn't your daddy's Batman, but it's closer to your grandpappy's. Of course I've used a few of my own ideas, but I feel I'm really adding something. You'll see it's still the Batman, it's just that he's the Bat-Man.
Backstory:Bruce Anthony Wayne was the son of the already wealthy Thomas Wayne and his wife Martha. Thomas had actually begun a project that would give the everyman the ability to protect himself, physically and legally. The project was despised by countless wealthier men, so Wayne became a target. Seeing it as a possibility for a better future, he was protected by clandestine agent Alfred Jarvis.
After a few too many attempts on Thomas' life had been made, Wayne decided that it was necessary to disappear. He took his son to see a screenplay one night before his and his wife's 'murder' was staged. Bruce was left in the care of Alfred Jarvis. Bruce was put through a carefully selected series of educational classes that equipped him to become one of the most competent men in the world.
During his early childhood, he began exercising in the yard in a private gymnastics course. But he fell down into a bat's cave on accident. He was quickly rescued by Alfred, but not before being traumatized by the horde that gave a squealing roar. From then on, he was afraid of bats. He had outlandish nightmares about them. He was so scared that he was often accompanied in his dreams by a talking bat calling himself Camazotz, a Mayan symbol of death and destruction. The nightmares only worsened until he made a decision that would change his life forever. He embraced the inner bat.
Dressing up as a bat, he put years of training and academic study to use, building a personal arsenal of crimefighting weapons, tools, and vehicles. In his early days, he shot several armed criminals before he began to explore other, dependably nonlethal methods of incapacitation. Taking courses such as fencing and hand to hand combat gave him an intimidating array of options. On his eighteenth birthday, he inherited Wayne Enterprises with majority ownership, but mostly chose to elect board representatives to maintain his watchful regiment.
He was free to completely let loose with his training on a visit to Transylvania with his then girlfriend Julie Madison, when she was kidnapped by vampires. For the first time, he heard Camazotz when he was awake, loving Bruce's finesse and parallel savagery. Bruce felt motivated and powerful as never before, defeating both vampires The Monk and Dala, who claimed to be champions of Camazotz themselves, before rescuing Julie and returning home. Bruce nearly crossed the line of taking human lives about a dozen times against such threats as The Joker or Two-Face.
But he'd never come as close as he had when he met Tony Zucco, a mobster who orphaned Dick Grayson when he wasn't paid for 'protection'. Grayson was not a public name, he was the son of partial owners. But he, personally, was called Robin by circus goers. He was a performer who daredevilishly acted out adventures as a mysterious teenaged vigilante. Bruce happened to be attending that night, and he watched him gun down the Graysons before nearly killing Zucco. "Don't do it," Grayson cried, and legitimately forced Batman to reconsider by using himself as an obstacle.
Seeing that Robin had kept him from becoming a murderer, Batman took Robin under his wing before he trained him to do real vigilantism as hid partner. Thus, Robin kept him in check and prevented him from crossing a line since the start. Since Grayson was also without a legal guardian, he adopted him as a son. But then the family expanded when Bruce and Selina Kyle, a cat burglar he'd apprehended multiple times before reform, started an official relationship. Selina's teenaged daughter, Helena, had been assisting her for years, even into the reform.
Bruce Wayne married Catwoman, gaining Helena as a Stepdaughter, though he treated her like a princess, more like Xena than Ariel, though. The invasion in 2015 compelled him to band together with Superman and Wonder Woman before sending his adoptive children on their own less dangerous missions. The Apokiliptan ships touched down in every major city in the world, so Bruce went inside one of them alone, analyzed it, fought an army of immortals and self-destructed it, managing to escape before relaying instructions to the World Army. With the help of the others, countless lives were saved. But the forcefulness Bruce had to use to survive reawakened a taste for violence he'd believed he'd gotten past.
Sample Post:An obvious scumbag was sitting in a desk chair, spinning in a steady rhythm. His feet kicked off the ground twice for every distorted bit of prattling he heard over his cell phone. He impatiently inhaled, like he was trying to swallow everything on the desk beside him. A laptop, map of the Gotham area, cash box, and a warped ski-mask with the eyeholes stretched beyond their limits. Most outstandingly, a monitor with a sixteen year old girl streaming live.
Her black and purple outfit was almost as skin-tight as the ropes binding her to a wooden chair.
"Excuse me, hunter of men," the man in front of the computer boomed over a loud speaker, after ending his private call. "But I have a single question for you. If you answer correctly, it means you go free and I go to someplace you won't here from me. But if you don't.
.." With a keystroke, he decorated the perimeter of the room around her with blue javelins of untainted power, lightning.
The Huntress said nothing.
"What do you call it when I take your life from the person who appreciates you most?"
Helena was still, at a complete loss for words. But fortunately, as if by magic, the answer echoed behind her.
"Robbin' the Boy Wonder."
"Batman!" The Riddler shrieked!
"Captain Obvious, I presume," the aforementioned companion to the vigilante quipped.
"Grrr! You rhyme with lead but are more like Punk instead! What are you?"
The Batman shrouded himself and his two companions in a scalloped curtain of shadow before lightning struck--not twice--but twelve times all around the cape! When the falsely blue sky faded from around them, he dropped his trailing blanket before crossing his arms into his utility belt and retrieving a pair of bean-sized containers. At once, The Riddler's webcam was made useless, the screen filled with smoke before he heard the thundering of a thousand angry gods roaring, charging in his direction.
The door flung open, and standing in the vacant space was unmistakable silhouette of The Batman. Without getting a moment to prepare himself, The Riddler was overrun by a dozen light-speed strikes that grounded him in no time.
